1Red blood cell membrane-camouflaged nanoparticles: a novel drug delivery system for antitumor application显示文摘Erythrocytes(red blood cells, RBCs) are the most abundant circulating cells in the blood and have been widely used in drug delivery systems(DDS) because of their features of biocompatibility,biodegradability, and long circulating half-life. Accordingly, a 'camouflage' comprised of erythrocyte membranes renders nanoparticles as a platform that combines the advantages of native erythrocyte membranes with those of nanomaterials. Following injection into the blood of animal models, the coated nanoparticles imitate RBCs and interact with the surroundings to achieve long-term circulation. In this review, the biomimetic platform of erythrocyte membrane-coated nano-cores is described with regard to various aspects, with particular focus placed on the coating mechanism, preparation methods, verification methods, and the latest anti-tumor applications. 2Safflower yellow injection combined with conventional therapy in treating unstable angina pectoris:a meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of safflower yellow injection combined with conventional therapy in treating unstable angina pectoris.METHODS:We searched online databases:Chinese journal full-text database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang database,Chinese journal full-text database,Pubmed,ScienceDirect,Embase,and the Cochrane Library with manual-screening of relevant literature.Eligible randomized controlled trials(RCT)on angina pectoris were included.We conducted meta-analysis using the RevMan 5.1 software from The Cochrane Collaboration.We treated the relief rate of angina symptoms and electrocardiograph(ECG)as evaluation.RESULTS:Seven articles,including in 1134 patients,were enrolled after the evaluation.Therewas no significant heterogeneity among the studies(χ2=1.08,df=6,P=0.98,I2=0%).The safflower yellow injection with conventional therapy has a higher effective rate than the control group in relieving the symptoms of angina pectoris[odds ratio(OR)=2.95,95%(CI)(1.81,4.81)]and improving ischemic ECG[OR=2.85,95%CI(1.67,4.86)].The difference was statistically significant in the'80 mg dosage'and'100 mg dosage'subgroups(P<0.05)for improving clinical symptoms and ECG.The funnel graphic was nearly symmetrical.Sensitivity analysis suggested that the results were stable.CONCLUSION:Safflower yellow injection as an adjunct therapy with conventional drugs shows advantages in easing the clinical symptoms of unstable angina and improving ECG over basic therapy alone.However,the conclusions should be interpreted with care until more high-quality RCTs are reported.2013 JTCM.All rights reserved.Dezhao Kong Wei Xia Zhe Zhang Lei Xiao Dongchao Yuan Yue Liu Guanlin Yang 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:20
3Effects of mowing and nitrogen addition on soil respiration in three patches in an oldfield grassland in Inner Mongolia显示文摘Aims Vegetation type is important in determining variations in soil carbon(C)efflux under grassland managements.This study was conducted to examine the effects of mowing and nitrogen(N)addition on soil respiration and their dependences upon vegetation types in an oldfield grassland of northern China.Methods Soil respiration,temperature,moisture and aboveground net primary productivity(ANPP)and belowground net primary productivity(BNPP)were examined in response to mowing and N addition among the three patches dominated by different species(named as grass,forb and mixed patches,respectively)in the growing seasons(May–October)from 2006 to 2008.Important Findings Across the 3 years,soil respiration in the grass patch was greater than those in the forb and mixed patches,which could have been ascribed to the higher soil moisture(SM)in the grass patch.Mowing had no impact on soil respiration due to unaltered SM and plant growth.Soil respiration was stimulated by 6.53%under N addition,and the enhancement was statistically significant in 2006 but not in 2007 or 2008 because of the limited water availability in the later 2 years.There were no interactive effects between mowing and N addition on soil respiration.Soil respiration showed positive dependence upon SM,ANPP and BNPP across plots.The results suggest that soil water availability and plant growth could be the primary factors in controlling the temporal and spatial variations in soil respiration and its response to different treatments.Our observations indicate that grassland managements(i.e.mowing for hay once a year)may have little influence on soil respiration of the oldfield grassland in northern China.Yi Han Zhe Zhang Changhui Wang Fenghe Jiang Jianyang Xia 2012Journal of Plant Ecology2012,5,2:14
4Stability of a rat model of prehepatic portal hypertension caused by partial ligation of the portal vein显示文摘AIM:To study the stability of portal hypertension (PHT) caused by partial ligation of the portal vein ligation (PVL) in a rat model.METHODS: Thirty male adult Wistar rats were divided into two groups: 10 in Group received a sham operation; and 20 in Group measured at four time periods: before ligation, 2 wk, 6 wk and 10 wk post-surgery. Portal venography, blood sampling and liver and spleen pathological examinations were conducted at 10 wk after surgery.RESULTS:The PVP was 9.15±0.58 cmH2O before ligation, and increased to 17.32±0.63 cmH2O 2 wk after PVL. By repeat measurement of the PVP in each rat, it was shown to remain elevated for 10 wk. There were no signif icant differences in the pressure measurements at 2 wk, 6 wk and 10 wk. Varices were found mainly in the mesenteric vein 2 wk after PVL, which were more obvious later, while these manifestations were similar at week 6 and week 10. Portal venography demonstrated the varices and collaterals. There was no significant change in liver pathology. The volume of the spleen was enlarged 2-fold after ligation, and the sinus of the spleen was enlarged due to congestion. 5Directly patterned substrate-free plasmonic “nanograter” structures with unusual Fano resonances显示文摘The application of three-dimensional(3D)plasmonic nanostructures as metamaterials(MMs),nano-antennas,and other devices faces challenges in producing metallic nanostructures with easily definable orientations,sophisticated shapes,and smooth surfaces that are operational in the optical regime and beyond.Here,we demonstrate that complex 3D nanostructures can be readily achieved with focused-ion-beam irradiation-induced folding and examine the optical characteristics of plasmonic“nanograter”structures that are composed of free-standing Au films.These 3D nanostructures exhibit interesting 3D hybridization in current flows and exhibit unusual and well-scalable Fano resonances at wavelengths ranging from 1.6 to 6.4 mm.Upon the introduction of liquids of various refractive indices to the structures,a strong dependence of the Fano resonance is observed,with spectral sensitivities of 1400 nm and 2040 nm per refractive index unit under figures of merit of 35.0 and 12.5,respectively,for low-order and high-order resonance in the near-infrared region.This work indicates the exciting,increasing relevance of similarly constructed 3D free-standing nanostructures in the research and development of photonics and MMs.Ajuan Cui Zhe Liu Jiafang Li Tiehan H Shen Xiaoxiang Xia Zhiyuan Li Zhijie Gong Hongqiang Li Benli Wang Junjie Li Haifang Yang Wuxia Li Changzhi Gu 2015Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1:8
6Whole genome sequencing of 10K patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack: design, methods and baseline patient characteristics显示文摘Background and purpose Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in China,but its underlying risk genes and pathways are far from being comprehensively understood.We here describe the design and methods of whole genome sequencing(WGS)for 10914 patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III).Methods Baseline clinical characteristics of the included patients in this study were reported.DNA was extracted from white blood cells of participants.Libraries are constructed using qualified DNA,and WGS is conducted on BGISEQ-500 platform.The average depth is intended to be greater than 30×for each subject.Afterwards,Sentieon software is applied to process the sequencing data under the Genome Analysis Toolkit best practice guidance to call genotypes of single nucleotide variants(SNVs)and insertion-deletions.For each included subject,21 fingerprint SNVs are genotyped by MassARRAY assays to verify that DNA sample and sequencing data originate from the same individual.The copy number variations and structural variations are also called for each patient.All of the genetic variants are annotated and predicted by bioinformatics software or by reviewing public databases.Results The average age of the included 10914 patients was 62.2±11.3 years,and 31.4%patients were women.Most of the baseline clinical characteristics of the 10914 and the excluded patients were balanced.Conclusions The WGS data together with abundant clinical and imaging data of CNSR-III could provide opportunity to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and discover novel therapeutic targets for stroke.Si Cheng Zhe Xu Yang Liu Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Yilong Wang Xia Meng Anxin Wang Xinying Huang Zhimin Wang Guohua Chen Songdi Wu Zhengchang Jia Yongming Chen Xuerong Qiu Jun Wu Binbin Song Weizhong Ji Zhongping An Wenjun Xue Lili Zhao Yu Geng Hongyan Li Hao Li Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:8

9Major Gene Identification and Quantitative Trait Locus Mapping for YieldRelated Traits in Upland Cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)显示文摘Segregation analysis of the mixed genetic model of major gene plus polygene was used to identify the major genes for cotton yield-related traits using six generations P1,P2,F1,B1,B2,and F2 generated from the cross of Baimian 1×TM-1.In addition to boll size and seed index,the major genes for the other five traits were detected:one each for seed yield,lint percentage,boll number,lint index;and two for lint yield.Quantitative trait locus/loci(QTL)mapping was performed in the F2 and F2:3populations of above cross through molecular marker technology,and a total of 50 QTL(26 suggestive and 24 significant)for yield-related traits were detected.Four common QTL were discovered:qLP-3b(F2)/qLP-3(F2:3)and qLP-19b(F2)/qLP-19(F2:3)for lint percentage,qBN-17(F2)/qBN-17(F2:3)for boll number,and qBS-26b(F2)/qBS-26(F2:3)for boll size.Especially,qLP-3b(F2)/qLP-3(F2:3),not only had LOD scores>3 but also exceeded the permutation threshold(5.13 and 5.29,respectively),correspondingly explaining 23.47 and 29.55%of phenotypic variation.This QTL should be considered preferentially in marker assisted selection(MAS).Segregation analysis and QTL mapping could mutually complement and verify,w hich provides a theoretical basis for genetic improvement of cotton yield-related traits by using major genes(QTL).XIA Zhe ZHANG Xin LIU Yang-yang JIA Zi-fang ZHAO Hai-hong LI Cheng-qi WANG Qing-lian 2014Journal of Integrative Agriculture2014,13,2:6

11A Robust Control Strategy to Improve Transient Stability for AC-DC Interconnected Power System with Wind Farms显示文摘In view of the variable parameters that affect the transient stability of electromagnetic torque and mechanical torque balance in AC-DC system,and the uncertainty of wind power in large-scale interconnection of wind farm.This paper proposes a linear parameter varying(LPV)robust feedback control method for transient stability of interconnected systems.The proposed LPV robust feedback control method uses the DC channel power control and the mechanical power in the interconnected system as the control target to improve the transient stability of the interconnected system with wind farm channel.Firstly,aiming at the strong nonlinear characteristics of the interconnected system,the power balance and the wind power output uncertainty in the transient process,the transient process is designed as a linear model of variable parameters.Then,the H∞robust output feedback controller is designed according to the LPV model.The transient stability control strategy topology and transfer function of the interconnected system are proposed.Finally,the proposed scheme is verified by an interconnected system formed by four equal-value grids through AC and DC lines in a digital simulation platform.The results show that the LPV robust feedback control model proposed in this paper has better response characteristics and transient stability control effects for interconnected systems with wind power weak sendingend system.Qian Hui Jinlu Yang Xia Yang Zhe Chen Yan Li Yun Teng 2019CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2019,5,2:6

14Sini decoction as an adjuvant therapy for angina pectoris:a systematic review of randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To systematically assess the effects and safety of Sini decoction as an adjuvant therapy for patients with angina pectoris.METHODS: We searched Pub Med, Excerpt Medica Database, the Cochrane library, Wanfang Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database from the date of its inception until August 1, in2014. Available literatures were selected according to the inclusion criteria. Two reviewers finished data extraction, checked the data and assessed the methodological quality of studies, independently.The Review Manage Software 5.1.0 was used for data analysis.RESULTS: Six trials involving 453 participants were eligible. None of the trials reported the mortality due to angina pectoris. The secondary outcomes showed that Sini decoction, together with nitroglycerin when necessary, may have some effects on reducing the number of angina attacks and the amount of nitroglycerin. But in terms of reducing the duration of angina and improvement of electrocardiogram, there were no statistical differences between Sini decoction group and isosorbide dinitrate group. 16LIN28A inhibits DUSP family phosphatases and activates MAPK signaling pathway to maintain pluripotency in porcine induced pluripotent stem cells显示文摘LIN28A,an RNA-binding protein,plays an important role in porcine induced pluripotent stem cells(piPSCs).However,the molecular mechanism underlying the function of LIN28A in the maintenance of pluripotency in piPSCs remains unclear.Here,we explored the function of LIN28A in piPSCs based on its overexpression and knockdown.We performed total RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)of piPSCs and detected the expression levels of relevant genes by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),western blot analysis,and immunofluorescence staining.Results indicated that piPSC proliferation ability decreased following LIN28A knockdown.Furthermore,when LIN28A expression in the shLIN28A2 group was lower(by 20%)than that in the negative control knockdown group(shNC),the pluripotency of piPSCs disappeared and they differentiated into neuroectoderm cells.Results also showed that LIN28A overexpression inhibited the expression of DUSP(dual-specificity phosphatases)family phosphatases and activated the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathway.Thus,LIN28A appears to activate the MAPK signaling pathway to maintain the pluripotency and proliferation ability of piPSCs.Our study provides a new resource for exploring the functions of LIN28A in piPSCs.Xiao-Long Wu Zhen-Shuo Zhu Xia Xiao Zhe Zhou Shuai Yu Qiao-Yan Shen Ju-Qing Zhang Wei Yue Rui Zhang Xin He Sha Peng Shi-Qiang Zhang Na Li Ming-Zhi Liao Jin-Lian Hua 2021Zoological Research2021,42,3:5
17Metformin activates chaperone-mediated autophagy and improves disease pathologies in an Alzheimer disease mouse model显示文摘Chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA)is a lysosome-dependent selective degradation pathway implicated in the pathogenesis of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.However,the mechanisms that regulate CMA are not fully understood.Here,using unbiased drug screening approaches,we discover Metformin,a drug that is commonly the first medication prescribed for type 2 diabetes,can induce CMA.We delineate the mechanism of CMA induction by Metformin to be via activation of TAK1-IKKα/β signaling that leads to phosphorylation of Ser85 of the key mediator of CMA,Hsc70,and its activation.Notably,we find that amyloid-beta precursor protein(APP)is a CMA substrate and that it binds to Hsc70 in an IKKα/β-dependent manner.The inhibition of CMA-mediated degradation of APP enhances its cytotoxicity.Importantly,we find that in the APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer's disease(AD),activation of CMA by Hsc70 overexpression or Metformin potently reduces the accumulated brain Aβplaque levels and reverses the molecular and behavioral AD phenotypes.Our study elucidates a novel mechanism of CMA regulation via Metformin-TAK1-IKKα/β-Hsc70 signaling and suggests Metformin as a new activator of CMA for diseases,such as AD,where such therapeutic intervention could be beneficial.Xiaoyan Xu Yaqin Sun Xufeng Cen Bing Shan Qingwei Zhao Tingxue Xie Zhe Wang Tingjun Hou Yu Xue Mengmeng Zhang Di Peng Qiming Sun Cong Yi Ayaz Najafov Hongguang Xia 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,10:5

19Determining the Electrical Conductivity of Rat Cadaveric Liver,Spleen,and Kidney to Estimate Early Postmortem Interval显示文摘Previous research has found that electrical conductivity(EC),an important index to predict meat freshness and shelflife,is very promising for estimating the late postmortem interval(PMI).However,whether it has potential use in the early PMI has not been fully studied yet.To test this possibility in the present study,EC of three internal organs of rat liver,spleen,and kidney were determined within 24 postmortem hows,and then,EC changes at different PMIs were carefully analyzed.The overall results showed that EC of liver and spleen increased significantly with PMI while EC of kidney had minor changes during the same period.Specifically,significant linear positive correlations between EC of liver and spleen and PMI were found and the coefficients of their regression functions were R^(2)=0.98 and R^(2)=0.95,respectively.It can be concluded that determination of EC in certain internal organs such as liver and spleen may be a potential tool in the early PMI estimation.However,more researches on its influencing factors are needed to facilitate its final use in practice.Zhe Zheng Xiandun Zhai Zhiyuan Xia Yaonan Mo 2017Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2017,3,3:3
20Membrane-type Ⅰ matrix metalloproteinase(MT1-MMP),lipid metabolism,and therapeutic implications显示文摘Lipids exert many essential physiological functions,such as serving as a structural component of biological membranes,storing energy,and regulating cell signal transduction.Dysregulation of lipid metabolism can lead to dyslipidemia related to various human diseases,such as obesity,diabetes,and cardiovascular disease.Therefore,lipid metabolism is strictly regulated through multiple mechanisms at different levels,including the extracellular matrix.Membrane-type I matrix metalloproteinase(MT1-MMP),a zinc-dependent endopeptidase,proteolytically cleaves extracellular matrix components,and non-matrix proteins,thereby regulating many physiological and pathophysiological processes.Emerging evidence supports the vital role of MT1-MMP in lipid metabolism.For example,MT1-MMP mediates ectodomain shedding of low-density lipoprotein receptor and increases plasma low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels and the development of atherosclerosis.It also increases the vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaque by promoting collagen cleavage.Furthermore,it can cleave the extracellular matrix of adipocytes,affecting adipogenesis and the development of obesity.Therefore,the activity of MT1-MMP is strictly regulated by multiple mechanisms,such as autocatalytic cleavage,endocytosis and exocytosis,and post-translational modifications.Here,we summarize the latest advances in MT1-MMP,mainly focusing on its role in lipid metabolism,the molecular mechanisms regulating the function and expression of MT1-MMP,and their pharmacotherapeutic implications.Xiao-Dan Xia Adekunle Alabi Maggie Wang Hong-Mei Gu Rui Zhe Yang Gui-Qing Wang Da-Wei Zhang 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,7:3
