| 1 | Haze observations by simultaneous lidar and WPS in Beijing before and during APEC, 2014显示文摘We present combined Mie lidar, ozone lidar and wide-range particle spectrometer observations which were carried out in Beijing, north China during two periods—one haze period before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) meeting and one moderate pollution period during the meeting in 2014. High extinction coefficient, moderate ozone concentration and variable particle number concentration were obtained throughout the first haze observation period. The mean extinction coefficients in the two pollution periods were 0.52 and 0.23 km?1, respectively, at 532 nm. The ozone concentration during the first haze phase was more various with a higher average value of 49 ppb compared with that in the second pollution observations(32 ppb). Compared with the same metrological condition occurring at the end of October, the sharply decreased aerosol extinction coefficient and ozone concentration show the effectiveness of the emission-cutting measures implemented during APEC in November. The comparison of aerosols and ozone in different heights indicate different pollution sources and the complicated ozone process of generation and disappearance. The correlation between the scattering coefficient and particle number concentrations of various diameter depended on the ambient humidity. Especially the particle number concentration(500 nm–1 ?m) contributed most to PM2.5 concentration. | 2 | Distribution,formation and evolution of sand ridges on the East China Sea shelf显示文摘Based on the integrated results of multiple data types including MBES (Multi-Beam Echo Sounding) and historical topography maps,the LSR (Linear Sand Ridges) on the ECS (East China Sea) shelf are identified,divided into subareas,and classified.The distribution of sand ridge crests is also established.The strikes of the LSR on the ECS shelf fall in a normal distribution with the center point being 155° azimuth with additional peak points at 125°,130°,140°,and 180° azimuth.The distribution of the ECS shelf sand ridges is congested in the central area,sparse in the south and north ends,divergent and bifurcated in the eastern area,and densely convergent in the western area.The LSR are divided into seven subzones according to the strikes and distribution of the sand ridges;estuary mouth ridges and open shelf sand ridges are identified and marked out.The high amplitude change of sea level resulting from the glacial-interglacial cycle is the main cause of the vast development of sand ridges on the ECS shelf.Abundant sediments on the shelf carried by the PYR (Paleo-Yangtze River) are the material source for the LSR formation,and the negative seafloor topography influences the strikes of LSR.Based on the effects of LSR distribution,change of sea level,and the simulation of ancient tidal currents,the evolution of the LSR on the ECS shelf is divided into four main stages:Stage Ⅰ before 14.5 ka BP,Stage Ⅱ between 12 and 14 ka BP,Stage Ⅲ from 1.5 to 9.5 ka BP,and Stage Ⅳ after 9 ka BP. | WU ZiYin JIN XiangLong CAO ZhenYi LI JiaBiao ZHENG YuLong SHANG JiHong | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,1: | 9 |
| 3 | Effects of Y_2O_3 on the microstructure and wear resistance of cobalt-based alloy coatings deposited by plasma transferred arc process显示文摘Cobalt-based alloys with different Y2O3 contents were deposited on Q235A-carbon steel using plasma transferred arc (PTA) welding machine. The effect of Y2O3 on the microstructure and wear resistance properties of the cobalt-based alloys were investigated using an optical microscope, a scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was found that a cobalt-based solid solution with a face-centered cubic crystal structure was presented accompanied by the secondary phase M7C3 with a hexagonal crystal structure in the Y2O3-free cobalt-based alloy coating. Several stacking faults exist in the cobalt-based solid solution. The addition of Y2O3 leads to the existence of the Y2O3 phase in the Y2O3-modified coatings. Though stacking fault exists in the Y2O3-modified coatings, its density increases. The addition of Y2O3 can refine the microstructure and can increase the wear resistance properties when its contents are less than or equal to 0.8 wt.%. | 4 | Hybrid CFD/FEM-BEM simulation of cabin aerodynamic noise for vehicles traveling at high speed显示文摘Flow passing a vehicle may lead to the increase of the cabin interior noise level through a variety of mechanisms. These mechanisms include vibrations caused by aerodynamic excitations and reradiation from the glass panels, exterior noise trans-mitted and leaked through door seals including gaps and glass edge, and transmission of airborne noise generated by the interaction of flow with body panels. It is of vital importance to predict both the flow fields and the acoustic sources around the ve-hicle to accurately assess the impact of wind induced noise inside the cabin. In the present study, an unstructured segregated finite volume model was used to calculate the flow fields in which a hexahedron grid is used to simplify the vehicle geometry.A large eddy simulation coupled with a wall function model was applied to predict the exterior transient flow fields. The mean flow quantities were thus calculated along the symmetry plane and the vehicle's side windows. A coupled FEM/BEM method was used to compute the vehicle's interior noise level. | 5 | Rietveld refinement, microstructure and high-temperature oxidation characteristics of low-density high manganese steels显示文摘Three forged low-density high manganese steels Mn28Al10,Mn28Al8 and Mn20Al10 were used as experimental materials in this study.The forged microstructure and external oxidation characteristics at 1323 K and 1373 K for 5–25 h in air were investigated by microstructural observation and X-ray diffraction(XRD)technique.The phase compositions and abundance in the forged and oxidized samples were quantitatively obtained by Rietveld method on the basis of XRD pattern analysis.The results showed that an austenitic microstructure formed in steels Mn28Al10 and Mn28Al8,and 18.02 wt%ferrite could be found in Mn20Al10.The relative amount of ~5.28 wt%-carbide(Fe_3AlC_(0.5))in Mn28Al10 was far greater than that in Mn28Al8 and Mn20Al10.The oxidation kinetics of forged steels oxidized at 1323 K for 5–25 h had two-stage parabolic rate laws;and the oxidation rate of the first stage was lower than that of the second stage.When they were oxidized at 1373 K for 5–25 h,the oxidation kinetics followed only a parabolic law and the oxidation rates were respectively greater than those at 1323 K for 5–25 h.When they were oxidized at 1323 K for 25 h,detached external scales contained Fe_2MnO_4and-Fe_2O_3oxides.-Al_2O_3and(Fe,Mn)_2O_3oxides could only be indexed in steels Mn28Al8 and Mn28Al10,respectively.When they were oxidized at 1373 K for 25 h,Fe_2MnO_4,Fe_3O_4,-Fe_2O_3 and-Al_2O_3oxides could all be indexed in the external detached scales.The main phase of detached external scales was Fe_2MnO_4;and the relative amount of-Al_2O_3in steel Mn28Al8 was higher than that in steels Mn28Al10 and Mn20Al.The external oxidation layers of these three forged steels oxidized at 1323 K and 1373 K for 25 h were essentially followed the sequence of-Al_2O_3,Fe_2MnO_4,Fe_3O_4,FeMnO_3,and Fe_2O_3from the substrate to the outside surface.The forged Mn28Al10 steel with austenitic microstructure and a certain amount of-carbide(~5.28 wt%in the present work)possessed a better combination of strength,ductility,specific strength,and oxidation rate when compared to that of the forged Mn28Al8 and Mn20Al10 steels. | Zhenyi Huang Yueshang Jiang Along Hou Ping Wang Qi Shi Qingyu Hou Xianghua Liu | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,12: | 6 |
| 6 | Humidity Sensing of Stretchable and Transparent Hydrogel Films for Wireless Respiration Monitoring显示文摘Respiratory monitoring plays a pivotal role in health assessment and provides an important application prospect for flexible humidity sensors.However,traditional humidity sensors suffer from a trade-off between deformability,sensitivity,and transparency,and thus the development of high-performance,stretchable,and low-cost humidity sensors is urgently needed as wearable electronics.Here,ultrasensitive,highly deformable,and transparent humidity sensors are fabricated based on cost-effective polyacrylamide-based double network hydrogels.Concomitantly,a general method for preparing hydrogel films with controllable thickness is proposed to boost the sensitivity of hydrogel-based sensors due to the extensively increased specific surface area,which can be applied to different polymer networks and facilitate the development of flexible integrated electronics.In addition,sustainable tapioca rich in hydrophilic polar groups is introduced for the first time as a second cross-linked network,exhibiting excellent water adsorption capacity.Through the synergistic optimization of structure and composition,the obtained hydrogel film exhibits an ultrahigh sensitivity of 13,462.1%/%RH,which is unprecedented.Moreover,the hydrogel film-based sensor exhibits excellent repeatability and the ability to work normally under stretching with even enhanced sensitivity.As a proof of concept,we integrate the stretchable sensor with a specially designed wireless circuit and mask to fabricate a wireless respiratory interruption detection system with Bluetooth transmission,enabling real-time monitoring of human health status.This work provides a general strategy to construct high-performance,stretchable,and miniaturized hydrogel-based sensors as next-generation wearable devices for real-time monitoring of various physiological signals. | Yuning Liang Qiongling Ding Hao Wang Zixuan Wu Jianye Li Zhenyi Li Kai Tao Xuchun Gui Jin Wu | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,11: | 5 |
| 7 | Vertical Distribution Characteristics of PM2.5 Observed by a Mobile Vehicle Lidar in Tianjin, China in 2016显示文摘We present mobile vehicle lidar observations in Tianjin, China during the spring, summer, and winter of 2016. Mobile observations were carried out along the city border road of Tianjin to obtain the vertical distribution characteristics of PM_(2.5). Hygroscopic growth was not considered since relative humidity was less than 60% during the observation experiments. PM_(2.5) profile was obtained with the linear regression equation between the particle extinction coefficient and PM_(2.5) mass concentration. In spring, the vertical distribution of PM_(2.5) exhibited a hierarchical structure. In addition to a layer of particles that gathered near the ground, a portion of particles floated at 0.6–2.5-km height. In summer and winter, the fine particles basically gathered below 1 km near the ground. In spring and summer, the concentration of fine particles in the south was higher than that in the north because of the influence of south wind. In winter, the distribution of fine particles was opposite to that measured during spring and summer. High concentrations of PM_(2.5) were observed in the rural areas of North Tianjin with a maximum of 350 μg m–3 on 13 December2016. It is shown that industrial and ship emissions in spring and summer and coal combustion in winter were the major sources of fine particles that polluted Tianjin. | 11 | A viral protein orchestrates rice ethylene signaling to coordinate viral infection and insect vector-mediated transmission显示文摘Arthropod-borne viruses cause serious threats to human health and global agriculture by rapidly spreading via insect vectors. Southern rice black-streaked dwarf virus (SRBSDV) is the most damaging rice-infecting virus that is frequently transmitted by planthoppers. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying its propagation in the host plants and epidemics in the field are largely unknown. Here, we showed that the SRBSDV-encoded P6 protein is a key effector that regulates rice ethylene signaling to coordinate viral infection and transmission. In early SRBSDV infection, P6 interacts with OsRTH2 in the cytoplasm to activate ethylene signaling and enhance SRBSDV proliferation;this also repels the insect vector to reduce infestation. In late infection, P6 enters the nucleus, where it interacts with OsEIL2, a key transcription factor of ethylene signaling. The P6-OsEIL2 interaction suppresses ethylene signaling by preventing the dimerization of OsEIL2, thereby facilitating viral transmission by attracting the insect vector. | 12 | Preparation and luminescence properties of Y_2O_3:Er^(3+) /TiO_2 with high specific surface area显示文摘The three composites Y2O3 :Er3+ , Y2O3 :Er3+ /Yb 3+ andY2O3 :Er3+ /TiO2 were prepared using coprecipitation and sol-gel techniques. Their morphology, specific surface area, porosity, UV-vis. absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra were measured using SEM, TEM, surface analysis, UV-vis. absorption and photoluminescence spectrophotometry. SEM and TEM showed that samples prepared using coprecipitation were dispersed, while Y2O3 :Er3+ /TiO2 particles possessed a mesoporous surface and average diameter of about 10 nm. The specific surface area and porosity of Y2O3 :Er3+ /TiO2 did not result from the combination of the individual properties of Y2O3 :Er3+ and TiO2 . The specific surface area of Y2O3 :Er3+ /TiO2 was 135.991 m 2 /g and was 4.8 times that of Y2O3 :Er3+ and 2.5 times that of Degussa P25 TiO2 . A high specific surface area is conducive for application to TiO2 photocatalysis. | 14 | 急性冠状动脉综合征患者植入药物洗脱支架远期临床疗效显示文摘目的探讨与稳定性心绞痛患者相比,急性冠状动脉综合征患者植入药物洗脱支架后的远期疗效是否同样显著优于金属裸支架。方法自2000年1月-2007年12月期间,3771例冠状动脉性心脏病患者接受择期经皮冠状动脉内支架植入术并完成1年的临床随访。根据介入治疗的指征分为急性冠状动脉综合征组和稳定性心绞痛组,将每组进一步分为药物洗脱支架亚组与金属裸支架亚组。研究终点为死亡、Q波心肌梗死、靶血管血运重建以及确定的支架内血栓形成。结果急性冠状动脉综合征组和稳定性心绞痛组中,药物洗脱支架亚组与金属裸支架亚组相比,随访1年的病死率、Q波心肌梗死发生率的差异均无统计学意义(P值均>0.05)。在稳定性心绞痛组中,药物洗脱支架亚组的靶血管血运重建率(5.6%)较金属裸支架亚组(11.4%)显著降低(P<0.01);而在急性冠状动脉综合征组中,药物洗脱支架亚组的靶血管血运重建率(8.0%)与金属裸支架亚组(7.2%)的差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。两组中支架内血栓均非常少见,且亚组间发生率的差异无统计学意义(P值均>0.05)。结论择期冠状动脉介入治疗选择药物洗脱支架可显著降低稳定性心绞痛患者远期靶血管血运重建率,但急性冠状动脉综合征患者未能获得相似的疗效。该临床结果可能源于易损粥样斑块是急性冠状动脉综合征的主要病因。 | 李延林 施海明 罗心平 Itsik Ben-Dor Rebecca Torguson Zhenyi Xue Joseph Lindsay Augusto D. | 16 | Characterization and analysis of DLC films with different thickness deposited by RF magnetron PECVD显示文摘Diamond-like carbon (DLC) films have excellent mechanical and chemical properties similar to those of crystalline diamond giving them wide applications as protective coatings. So far, a variety of methods are employed to deposit DLC films. In this study, DLC films with different thicknesses were deposited on Si and glass substrates using RF magnetron PECVD method with C 4 H 10 as carbon source. The bonding microstructure, surface morphology and tribological properties at different growing stages of the DLC films were tested. Raman spectra were deconvoluted into D peak at about 1370 cm 1 and G peak around 1590 cm 1 , indicating typical features of the DLC films. A linear relationship between the film thickness and the deposition time was found, revealing that the required film thickness may be obtained by the appropriate tune of the deposition time. The concentration of sp 3 and sp 2 carbon atoms in the DLC films was measured by XPS spectra. As the films grew, the sp 3 carbon atoms decreased while sp 2 atoms increased. Surface morphology of the DLC films clearly showed that the films were composed of spherical carbon clusters, which tended to congregate as the deposition time increased. The friction coefficient of the films was very low and an increase was also found with the increase of film thickness corresponding to the results of XPS spectra. | 17 | Signaling pathways and targeted therapies in lung squamous cell carcinoma: mechanisms and clinical trials显示文摘Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death across the world.Unlike lung adenocarcinoma,patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC)have not benefitted from targeted therapies.Although immunotherapy has significantly improved cancer patients’outcomes,the relatively low response rate and severe adverse events hinder the clinical application of this promising treatment in LSCC.Therefore,it is of vital importance to have a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of LSCC as well as the inner connection among different signaling pathways,which will surely provide opportunities for more effective therapeutic interventions for LSCC.In this review,new insights were given about classical signaling pathways which have been proved in other cancer types but not in LSCC,including PI3K signaling pathway,VEGF/VEGFR signaling,and CDK4/6 pathway.Other signaling pathways which may have therapeutic potentials in LSCC were also discussed,including the FGFR1 pathway,EGFR pathway,and KEAP1/NRF2 pathway.Next,chromosome 3q,which harbors two key squamous differentiation markers SOX2 and TP63 is discussed as well as its related potential therapeutic targets.We also provided some progress of LSCC in epigenetic therapies and immune checkpoints blockade(ICB)therapies.Subsequently,we outlined some combination strategies of ICB therapies and other targeted therapies.Finally,prospects and challenges were given related to the exploration and application of novel therapeutic strategies for LSCC. | Zhenyi Niu Runsen Jin Yan Zhang Hecheng Li | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,11: | 3 |
| 18 | Biofeedback therapy improves motor function following stroke Meta-analysis of 14 articles from Chinese Medical Institutions显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate feasibility of biofeedback therapy in China Medical Institutions to improve dysfunction following stroke. DATA SOURCE: A computer-based online search of publications was conducted using the Vip and PubMed Databases to identify publications that addressed biofeedback. The search key words included 'electromyogram', 'biofeedback', and 'stroke'. In total, 81 articles were retrieved. DATA SELECTION: Studies closely related to biofeedback, or studies with contents recently published in the same study field or in authorized journals, were included. Duplicated articles were excluded. Following full-text retrieval of selected articles, a total of 14 articles were collected, which addressed randomized, controlled trials of biofeedback therapy for dysfunction after stroke. Methodological quality was assessed for randomized, controlled trials using criteria from Cochrane reviewers’ handbook. Results were analyzed using Revman 4.2 software. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Outcomes and evaluation indices were expressed by odds ratio (OR), weighted mean difference (WMD), and 95% confidence interval (95% CI). Potential publication bias was presented using the funnel plot. RESULTS: The study included 14 randomized, controlled trials of 1 147 patients. Following biofeedback therapy, meta-analysis results demonstrated that: (1) The total effective rate was significantly greater in the biofeedback therapy group compared with the control group [OR = 3.46, 95% CI (2.09, 5.73), P = 0.62]. (2) Electromyogram changes were better in biofeedback therapy patients compared to the control group [WMD = 22.31, 95% CI (17.19, 27.43), P < 0.001]. (3) Motor function was better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the control group [WMD = 12.43, 95% CI (6.71, 18.16), P < 0.001]. (4) Daily living activities were better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the con- trol group [WMD = 18.11, 95% CI (15.77, 20.44), P = 0.36]. (5) Joint range of motion was better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the control group [WMD = 6.43, 95% CI (4.44, 8.41), P = 0.77]. Sensitivity analysis also demonstrated similar results after eliminating articles that described unknown diagnostic criteria and statistical methods. | 19 | Features of the physical environment associated with green tide in the southwestern Yellow Sea during spring显示文摘Massive green tides caused by Ulva prolifera in the Yellow Sea have occurred every summer since 2007 and have caused huge economic losses for local governments. The Subei(North Jiangsu Province, China) Shoal, with its large-scale Porphyra aquaculture, has been regarded as the most important source of U. prolifera for green tides.To reveal the physical mechanisms of floating and drifting algae in this area, the characteristics of the current, the temperature, the salinity and suspended particulate matter(SPM) in the southwestern Yellow Sea, especially in the Subei Shoal, were studied. The topography of the radial sand ridges in the Subei Shoal constrains the features of the currents and causes net longitudinal and latitudinal movements. The longitudinal net movement is a dominant dynamic factor that can bring U. prolifera into offshore waters. The amount of gas that is produced by algae during photosynthesis determines whether U. prolifera can float well on the sea surface after it is disposed into the water from Porphyra aquacultural apparatus. The Subei Shoal is characterized by a high turbidity, which can result in significant light attenuation and affect the photosynthesis together with the buoyancy of a U.prolifera in the water. According to satellite remote sensing data from 2012, the three-month-averaged surface SPM(April, May and June) in the Subei Shoal was 140 mg/dm3, and the north of the Subei Shoal(the north of34.5°N), it was 11 mg/dm3. According to the monthly averaged surface SPM in April, the transparency in the Subei Shoal was only 0.1 m, but it often exceeded 2.0 m outside of the Subei Shoal. The present study develops a flexible, ultra-low cost conductive hybrid elastomer(CHE), which possesses high responsive capabilities to stress/strain and humidity. CHE was composed of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and starch hydrogel(SH), enabling great elasticity(56 kPa),high conductivity(10^(-2)S/m) and high sensitivity to external stimuli(gauge factor of CHE under stress and strain are 0.71 and 2.22, respectively, and sensitivity to humidity is 1.2 × 10^(-6)S/m per RH%).
