1Spectral characteristic of infrared radiations of some acupoint and non-acupoint areas in human arm surface显示文摘Using infrared spectrum detective device, we experiment on Neiguan, Laogong and Hegu acupoints of seven adult volunteers as well as contrastive points beside ones. We get 63 infrared spectrums. The experiment outcome tells us that the differences of the intensities among individuals are great, and so are the differences between acupoint and non-acupoint areas. 2Sparse kernel logistic regression based on L_(1/2) regularization显示文摘The sparsity driven classification technologies have attracted much attention in recent years,due to their capability of providing more compressive representations and clear interpretation.Two most popular classification approaches are support vector machines(SVMs) and kernel logistic regression(KLR),each having its own advantages.The sparsification of SVM has been well studied,and many sparse versions of 2-norm SVM,such as 1-norm SVM(1-SVM),have been developed.But,the sparsifiation of KLR has been less studied.The existing sparsification of KLR is mainly based on L1 norm and L2 norm penalties,which leads to the sparse versions that yield solutions not so sparse as it should be.A very recent study on L1/2 regularization theory in compressive sensing shows that L1/2 sparse modeling can yield solutions more sparse than those of 1 norm and 2 norm,and,furthermore,the model can be efficiently solved by a simple iterative thresholding procedure.The objective function dealt with in L1/2 regularization theory is,however,of square form,the gradient of which is linear in its variables(such an objective function is the so-called linear gradient function).In this paper,through extending the linear gradient function of L1/2 regularization framework to the logistic function,we propose a novel sparse version of KLR,the 1/2 quasi-norm kernel logistic regression(1/2-KLR).The version integrates advantages of KLR and L1/2 regularization,and defines an efficient implementation scheme of sparse KLR.We suggest a fast iterative thresholding algorithm for 1/2-KLR and prove its convergence.We provide a series of simulations to demonstrate that 1/2-KLR can often obtain more sparse solutions than the existing sparsity driven versions of KLR,at the same or better accuracy level.The conclusion is also true even in comparison with sparse SVMs(1-SVM and 2-SVM).We show an exclusive advantage of 1/2-KLR that the regularization parameter in the algorithm can be adaptively set whenever the sparsity(correspondingly,the number of support vectors) is given,which suggests a methodology of comparing sparsity promotion capability of different sparsity driven classifiers.As an illustration of benefits of 1/2-KLR,we give two applications of 1/2-KLR in semi-supervised learning,showing that 1/2-KLR can be successfully applied to the classification tasks in which only a few data are labeled.XU Chen PENG ZhiMing JING WenFeng 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,4:5

4A strategy for service realization in service-oriented design显示文摘Recently service orientation is becoming a mainstream approach for building large scale software systems. A key requirement in service-oriented design is the de- pendability of service. It stipulates that the behavior of services is controllable. Formal models can aid in constructing software in a dependable manner. They can describe ser- vices precisely and compose them together consistently. This paper presents a strategy for service realization based on a novel layered formal model. When a service is provided or required via internet, the semantic consistency becomes critical issue. Our architecture tackles the issue by proposing a novel scheme: defining contract of a service to keep semantic information. 5MATRIEX imaging:multiarea two-photon real-time in vivo explorer显示文摘Two-photon laser scanning microscopy has been extensively applied to study in vivo neuronal activity at cellular and subcellular resolutions in mammalian brains.However,the extent of such studies is typically confined to a single functional region of the brain.Here,we demonstrate a novel technique,termed the multiarea two-photon real-time in vivo explorer(MATRIEX),that allows the user to target multiple functional brain regions distributed within a zone of up to 12mm in diameter,each with a field of view(FOV)of ~200μm in diameter,thus performing two-photon Ca2+imaging with single-cell resolution in all of the regions simultaneously.For example,we demonstrate real-time functional imaging of single-neuron activities in the primary visual cortex,primary motor cortex and hippocampal CA1 region of mice in both anesthetized and awake states.A unique advantage of the MATRIEX technique is the configuration of multiple microscopic FOVs that are distributed in three-dimensional space over macroscopic distances(>1 mm)both laterally and axially but that are imaged by a single conventional laser scanning device.In particular,the MATRIEX technique can be effectively implemented as an add-on optical module for an existing conventional single-beam-scanning two-photon microscope without requiring any modification to the microscope itself.Thus,the MATRIEX technique can be readily applied to substantially facilitate the exploration of multiarea neuronal activity in vivo for studies of brain-wide neural circuit function with single-cell resolution.Mengke Yang Zhenqiao Zhou Jianxiong Zhang Shanshan Jia Tong Li Jiangheng Guan Xiang Liao Bing Leng Jing Lyu Kuan Zhang Min Li Yan Gong Zhiming Zhu Junan Yan Yi Zhou Jian K Liu Zsuzsanna Varga Arthur Konnerth Yuguo Tang Jinsong Gao Xiaowei Chen Hongbo Jia 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:4
6Electronic effect on the optical properties and sensing ability of AIEgens with ESIPT process based on salicylaldehyde azine显示文摘Two novel AIE-active salicylaldehyde azine(SAA) derivatives with a typical excited-state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT) process are prepared by introducing electron-withdrawing and donating groups at para-position of phenolic hydroxyl group(CN-SAA and TPA-SAA). The effect of the proton activity in SAA framework on their optical behaviors is investigated spectroscopically. The results from NMR and solvation measurements show that the proton of phenolic hydroxyl group has higher activity when there are electron-withdrawing groups, and the absorption and fluorescence spectra in buffers with different pH also provide the same results. After inviting F. as a nucleophilic probe, this proton activity difference in CN-SAA and TPA-SAA becomes more obvious. The potential application of both molecules is investigated. TPA-SAA exhibits good quantitative sensing ability towards F. with a fluorescence 'turn-on' mode, whereas the aggregates of TPA-SAA can selectively and sensitively detect Cu2+ in aqueous solution. From these results, a structure-property relationship is established: the occurrence of ESIPT process will become much easier when linking electron-withdrawing groups at the para-position of phenolic hydroxyl group(e.g., CN-SAA),and it is better to introduce electron-donating groups to enhance the sensing ability towards ions(e.g., TPA-SAA). 7Requirements monitoring for Internetware:an interaction based approach显示文摘The behavior of an Internetware system,which is running in a dymamic and open environment,is likely to deviate from its original requirements specification.In this paper,we propose an interaction based requirements monitoring approach for Internetware.Firstly the Internetware requirements are transformed into an environment based Internetware specification in terms of expected interactions between the Internetware system and its environment.Then we monitor the running Internetware system,collect the Internetware system behaviors in terms of actual interactions between the Internetware system and its environment,and compare the Internetware system behaviors with its specification.Finally a monitoring report is given.As environment change is more predictable than requirement change,our approach could handle environment changes and Internetware system evolution by updating its environment.A framework of the interaction based requirements monitoring is presented.Furthermore,a corresponding monitor is designed.At last,a case study is carried on to illustrate the feasibility of our approach.CHEN XiaoHong LIU Jing LIU Zhiming 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,8:3

9Obesity pandemic in China:epidemiology,burden,challenges,and opportunities显示文摘China faces a substantial burdensome pandemic of obesity.Recent data from the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention suggested that over an estimated 8.1%of Chinese adults(85 million Chinese adults)had obesity in 2018,which was three times the level in 2004.[1]To understand the trends of overweight and obesity in China,we accessed the country/territory-level year-specific data of age-standardized summary exposure value(SEV,standing for the pooled proportion among the population),deaths,and disability-adjusted life of years(DALYs)for high body mass index(BMI,high BMI was defined as the BMI level higher than theoretical minimum risk exposure level[25 kg/m2])and its associated diseases for 204 countries/territories between 1990 and 2019 using data from the Global Burden of Disease Collaborative Network.[2]Previous literature described detailed methods for the data synthesis.[3,4]Using the country/territory-level data by year,we calculated the estimated annual percentage changes(EAPCs)with 95%uncertainty intervals(UI)to estimate the annual changing patterns of age-standardized SEV,death,and DALY rates among 204 countries/territories.To compare statistics from China and other regions,we calculated the corresponding estimates from regions including global,North Africa and Middle East,Sub-Saharan Africa,Western Pacific Region,European Union,Latin America and Caribbean,and South Asia.Jing Li Qingyang Shi Qingyang Gao Xiong-Fei Pan Li Zhao Yazhou He Haoming Tian Zhiming Zhu Sheyu Li 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11:3
10Activation of the cold-sensing TRPM8 channel triggers UCP1-dependent thermogenesis and prevents obesity显示文摘Brown adipose tissue(BAT)is an energy-expending organ that produces heat.Expansion or activation of BAT prevents obesity and diabetes.Chronic cold exposure enhances thermogenesis in BAT through uncoupling protein 1(UCP1)activation triggered via a b-adrenergic pathway.Here,we report that the cold-sensing transient receptor potential melastatin 8(TRPM8)is functionally present in mouse BAT.Challenging brown adipocytes with menthol,a TRPM8 agonist,up-regulates UCP1 expression and requires protein kinase A activation.Upon mimicking long-term cold exposure with chronic dietary menthol application,menthol significantly increased the core temperatures and locomotor activity in wild-type mice;these effects were absent in both TRPM82/2 and UCP12/2 mice.Dietary obesity and glucose abnormalities were also prevented by menthol treatment.Our results reveal a previously unrecognized role for TRPM8,suggesting that stimulation of this channel mediates BAT thermogenesis,which could constitute a promising way to treat obesity.Shuangtao Ma Hao Yu Zhigang Zhao Zhidan Luo Jing Chen Yinxing Ni Rongbing Jin Liqun Ma Peijian Wang Zhenyu Zhu Li Li Jian Zhong Daoyan Liu Bernd Nilius Zhiming Zhu 2012Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2012,4,2:2
11Antibacterial Properties of Cerium-Bearing Stainless Steel Bearing Cerium显示文摘In this study, the nominal 00Cr18Ni9 type alloys containing 0 to 5% Ce were melted in a inductive furnace in an atmosphere of argon, the distribution and content of cerium in these Ce-bearing stainless steels were analyzed, the composition of cerium precipitation phase was analyzed with X-ray diffraction method, the antibacterial performance of Ce-bearing stainless steels against Escherichia coli ATCC 8099 and Staphytococcus aureus ATCC 6538 were investigated with film attachment method. It is found that the stainless steels containing Ce have excellent antibacterial property, especially, not as the Cu-bearing antibacterial stainless steels, a special aging treatment is not required for Ce-bearing antibacterial stainless steels, which makes their application easy and cheap. 13Cavitation Erosion Behavior of CrMnN Duplex Stainless Steel in Distilled Water and 3% NaCl Solution显示文摘The cavitation erosion (CE) behavior of CrMnN ferrite-austenite duplex stainless steel in distilled water and 3% NaCl solution was investigated by using a magnetostrictive-induced CE facility. The damaged surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). It was found that the CE resistance of CrMnN steel was higher than that of 0Cr13Ni5Mo steel. The mass loss rate of CrMnN steel in distilled water was similar to that in 3% NaCl except at the early stage of CE. The failure mode of ferrite phase was brittle fracture, which had adverse effect on the resistance to CE, while the failure of austenite phase was a ductile failure in CrMnN steel. 18Detection of cotton waterlogging stress based on hyperspectral images and convolutional neural network显示文摘Waterlogging in the early stage of cotton will reduce the number of bolls and do harm to yield.Early detection of waterlogging will help farmers to adjust cotton management and save the loss.To evaluate the application of deep learning for the detection of early waterlogging,this study applied a convolutional neural network(CNN)to classify different durations of waterlogging stress(0,2,4,6,8,10 d)based on hyperspectral images(HSIs)of cotton leaves.An experiment was designed to simulate the situation of cotton under waterlogging stress and collect HSIs of visible and near-infrared(VNIR 450-950 nm)spectra with 126 bands 66 d after cotton sowing(66 DAS).It was found the spectral curve reflectance of waterlogging cotton was higher than that of non-waterlogging cotton.Especially near 550 nm and 750 nm,and the spectral curve increased with durations of waterlogging stress and there were‘blue shift’phenomena for the position of the red edge of the spectra.The first principal components of HSIs after band randomly discarding and principal component analysis(PCA)were used to build a dataset.GoogLeNet Inception-v3(GLNI-v3)and VGG-16 models were selected to detect cotton waterlogging stress with the dataset.The results showed that the average time for a round training for GLNI-v3 was 13.337 s,with a classification accuracy of 96.95%and a loss value of 0.09431.The average time for a round training for VGG-16 was 21.470 s,with a classification accuracy of 97.00%and a loss value of 0.17912.Though these two models had similar classification accuracy and loss value,GLNI-v3 achieved a high accuracy with fewer training iterations.The durations of waterlogging stress of cotton in a short-term can be detected by HSIs of cotton leaves and CNN models are suitable for the classification of HSIs,and this method can provide support for cotton yield estimation and loss assessment after waterlogging.Jing Zhao Fangjiang Pan Zhiming Li Yubin Lan Liqun Lu Dongjian Yang Yuting Wen 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,2:1

20苦参碱对HepG2细胞杀伤作用及机制研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: To investigate the death mode of human hepatoma cells exposed to matrine and the role of glutathione (GSH) and cytochrome c. Methods: The MTT test and Cell Death Detection ELISA were used to identify cell death mode and viability of cells exposed to matrine. The volume of intracellular GSH was detected by GSH reductase. Finally Western blotting was chosen to analyze the expression of cytochrome c and Caspase-9 in HepG2 cells treated by matrine. Results: The apop-totic cell death induced by matrine in Hep G2 cells dramatically increased in the time-, dose-dependent manner. Matrine can exhaust intracellular GSH effectively to change the redox state in cells. Furthermore it affect the cytotoxicity of matrine. Re-sults of Western blotting showed that matrine induced the release of cytochrome c from mitochondria to cytoplasm, and then stimulate the cleavage of Caspase-9 in a time-dependent manner.
