1New records of Jurassic petrified wood in Jianchang of western Liaoning,China and their palaeoclimate implications显示文摘Diverse and rich fossil wood records have been documented from the Mesozoic of Liaoning Province, NE China. The Tiaojishan Formation(mainly distributed in Beipiao, Chaoyang, Fuxin and Jianchang regions) is one of the most significant horizons for the Jurassic petrified wood in Liaoning Province. Previously, wood fossils of this formation were mainly reported in Beipiao and Chaoyang regions, whereas fossil wood record was merely known in Jianchang region. Here we describe new fossil wood specimens from the Tiaojishan Formation in Jianchang County, western Liaoning. Two fossil wood taxa, i.e., Protaxodioxylon jianchangense Tian et Wang sp. nov. and Xenoxylon peidense Zheng et Zhang were recognized on the basis of anatomical features. These fossil wood records add new data for understanding the fossil wood diversity, floral composition and palaeoclimate of the Tiaojishan Formation. 2Emission factors of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from domestic coal combustion in China显示文摘Domestic coal stove is widely used in China, especially for countryside during heating period of winter, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) are important in flue gas of the stove. By using dilution tunnel system, samples of both gaseous and particulate phases from domestic coal combustion were collected and 18 PAH species were analyzed by GC-MS. The average emission factors of total 18 PAH species was 171.73 mg/kg, ranging from 140.75 to 229.11 mg/kg for bituminous coals, while was 93.98 mg/kg, ranging from 58.48 to 129.47 mg/kg for anthracite coals. PAHs in gaseous phases occupied 95% of the total of PAHs emission of coal combustion. In particulate phase, 3-ring and 4-ring PAHs were the main components, accounting for 80% of the total particulate PAHs. The total toxicity potency evaluated by benzo[a]pyrene-equivalent carcinogenic power, sum of 7 carcinogenic PAH components and 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzodioxin had a similar tendency. And as a result, the toxic potential of bituminous coal was higher than that of anthracite coal. 3Immobilization and transformation of co-existing arsenic and antimony in highly contaminated sediment by nano zero-valent iron显示文摘Arsenic(As)and antimony(Sb)are usually coexistent in mine wastes and pose a great threat to human health.The As immobilization by nano zero-valent iron(n ZVI)is promising,however,the stabilization for co-occurring As and Sb is not known.Herein,the immobilization and transformation of As and Sb in n ZVI-treated sediments were evaluated using complementary leaching experiments and characterization techniques.Raw sediment samples from a gold-antimony deposit revealed the co-existence of ultrahigh As and Sb at 50.3 and 14.9 g/kg,respectively.Leaching results show that As was more efficiently stabilized by n ZVI than Sb,which was primarily due to the soluble fraction that was readily absorbed by n ZVI of As was higher.As the n ZVI treatment proceeds,the oxidation and reduction of As and Sb occur simultaneously as evidenced by XPS analysis.The primary oxidant,hydroxyl radicals,was detected by EPR studies,proving the occurrence of n ZVI induced Fenton reaction.This study sheds light on differences in the interaction and immobilization of n ZVI with Sb and As in co-contaminated sediments.Jianlong Guo Zhipeng Yin Wen Zhong Chuanyong Jing 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,2:3
4Relationship Between Perisylvian Essential Language Sites and Arcuate Fasciculus in the Left Hemisphere of Healthy Adults显示文摘Essential language sites and the arcuate fasciculus(AF) have been extensively researched. However, the relationship between them remains insufficiently studied,especially in healthy people. Navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation(n TMS) is increasingly used in language mapping. While enjoying the advantage of non-invasiveness, it is also capable of inducing a virtual lesion in the brain. Thus, it offers the possibility of using the virtuallesion method to study the healthy brain. This study combined n TMS and diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)tractography to investigate the relationship between essential language sites and the AF in 30 healthy right-handedvolunteers. A total of 143 essential language sites were identified using n TMS, and a total of 175 AF terminations were identified using DTI tractography. Sixty-six sites had a direct correlation with the AF, accounting for 46% of the total essential language sites. Forty-seven AF terminations harbored essential language sites, accounting for 27% of the total AF terminations. Upon data rendering to the cortical parcellation system, a region-related heterogeneity of the correlation rate was found. 5Research on the weak acoustic signal features based on magneto-acoustic effect显示文摘The electrical characteristics of tissue yield valuable information for the early diagnosis of pathological changes. Magneto-acoustic tomography( MAT) is a novel functional imaging approach for imaging electrical conductivity. It combines the advantages of high spatial resolution of ultrasonic imaging and high contrast ratio of electrical impedance tomography. It has potential application value in the early tumor diagnosis and bioelectricity monitoring. The analysis and detection of the magneto acoustic signal have a key role in improving the contrast resolution,imaging resolution and reconstruction accuracy of the electrical conductivity image. 6Shadow regions detection algorithm by adaptive narrowband two-phase Chan-Vese model显示文摘An adaptive narrowband two-phase Chan-Vese(ANBCV) model is proposed for im?proving the shadow regions detection performance of sonar images. In the first noise smoothing step, the anisotropic second-order neighborhood MRF(Markov Random Field, MRF) is used to describe the image texture feature parameters. Then, initial two-class segmentation is processed with the block mode /c-means clustering algorithm, to estimate the approximate position of the shadow regions. On this basis, the zero level set function is adaptively initialized by the approximate position of shadow regions. 7Aqueous Zn-MnO_(2) battery: Approaching the energy storage limit with deep Zn^(2+) pre-intercalation and revealing the ions insertion/extraction mechanisms显示文摘Rechargeable aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)were considered as one of the most promising candidates for large-scale energy storage due to the merits of high safety and inexpensiveness.As AZIBs cathode material,Mn O_(2)possesses great merits but was greatly hindered due to the sluggish diffusion kinetic of Zn^(2+) during electrochemical operations.Herein,deep Zn^(2+) ions intercalatedδ-Mn O_(2)(Zn-Mn O_(2))was achieved by the in situ electrochemical deposition route,which significantly enhanced the diffusion ability of Zn^(2+) due to the synergistic effects of Zn^(2+) pillars and structural H;O.The resultant Zn-Mn O_(2)based AZIBs delivers a record capacity of 696 m Ah/g(0.5 m Ah/cm^(2))based on the initial mass loading,which is approaching the theoretical capacity of Mn O_(2)with a two-electrons reaction.In-situ Raman studies reveal highly reversible Zn^(2+)ions insertion/extraction behaviors and here the Zn-Mn O_(2)plays the role of a container during the charge–discharge process.Further charge storage mechanism investigations point out the insertion/extraction of Zn^(2+) and H^(+) coincides,and such process is significantly facilitated results from superior interlayered configurations of Zn-Mn O_(2)The excellent electrochemical performance of Zn-Mn O_(2)achieved in this work suggests the deep ions pre-intercalation strategy may aid in the future development of advanced cathodes for AZIBs.Yaxiong Zhang Xiaosha Cui Yupeng Liu Situo Cheng Peng Cui Yin Wu Zhenheng Sun Zhipeng Shao Jiecai Fu Erqing Xie 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4:2

18Cytokinin signaling promotes salt tolerance by modulating shoot chloride exclusion in maize显示文摘Excessive accumulation of chloride(Cl^(-))in the aboveground tissues under saline conditions is harmful to crops.Increasing the exclusion of Cl^(-) from shoots promotes salt tolerance in various crops.However,the underlying molecular mechanisms remain largely unknown.In this study,we demonstrated that a type A response regulator(ZmRR1)modulates Cl^(-) exclusion from shoots and underlies natural variation of salt tolerance in maize.ZmRR1 negatively regulates cytokinin signaling and salt tolerance,likely by interacting with and inhibiting His phosphotransfer(HP)proteins that are key mediators of cytokinin signaling.A naturally occurring non-synonymous SNP variant enhances the interaction between ZmRR1 and ZmHP2,conferring maize plants with a salt-hypersensitive phenotype.We found that ZmRR1 undergoes degradation under saline conditions,leading to the release of ZmHP2 from ZmRR1 inhibition,and subsequently ZmHP2-mediated signaling improves salt tolerance primarily by promoting Cl^(-) exclusion from shoots.Furthermore,we showed that ZmMATE29 is transcriptionally upregulated by ZmHP2-mediated signaling under highly saline conditions and encodes a tonoplast-located Cl^(-) transporter that promotes Cl^(-) exclusion from shoots by compartmentalizing Cl^(-) into the vacuoles of root cortex cells.Collectively,our study provides an important mechanistic understanding of the cytokinin signaling-mediated promotion of Cl^(-) exclusion from shoots and salt tolerance and suggests that genetic modification to promote Cl^(-) exclusion from shoots is a promising route for developing salt-tolerant maize.Pan Yin Xiaoyan Liang Hanshu Zhao Zhipeng Xu Limei Chen Xiaohong Yang Feng Qin Jingbo Zhang Caifu Jiang 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,6:1
