1Modulating morphology via side-chain engineering of fused ring electron acceptors for high performance organic solar cells显示文摘In this work, four fused ring electron acceptors(FREAs), 2F-C5, 2F-C6, 2F-C8 and 2F-C10, are developed to investigate the effect of side-chain size on the molecular properties and photovoltaic performance of FREA systematically. The elongation of side-chains in the FREAs not only improves their solubility in the processing solvent, but also enhances their miscibility with the donor PBDB-T. It helps the FREA diffuse into the donor PBDB-T during film-formation, thus leading to the decrease in domain size and domain purity from PBDB-T:2F-C5 to PBDB-T:2F-C10 blend films in sequence. The smaller domain size affords more D/A interfaces to benefit exciton dissociation and inhibit monomolecular recombination. However, severe bimolecular recombination occurs when the domain purity decreases to a critical point. Due to the dual function of the increment of side-chain length, both short-circuit current density(J_(SC)) and fill factor(FF) of devices exhibit an evolution of first increasing then decreasing from 2F-C5, 2F-C6, 2F-C8 to 2F-C10 based OSCs. 2Modulation of the thermal transport of micro-structured materials from 3D printing显示文摘It is desirable to fabricate materials with adjustable physical properties that can be used in different industrial applications.Since the property of a material is highly dependent on its inner structure,the understanding of structure–property correlation is critical to the design of engineering materials.3D printing appears as a mature method to effectively produce micro-structured materials.In this work,we created different stainless-steel microstructures by adjusting the speed of 3D printing and studied the relationship between thermal property and printing speed.Our microstructure study demonstrates that highly porous structures appear at higher speeds,and there is a nearly linear relationship between porosity and printing speed.The thermal conductivity of samples fabricated by different printing speeds is characterized.Then,the correlation between porosity,thermal conductivity,and scanning speed is established.Based on this correlation,the thermal conductivity of a sample can be predicted from its printing speed.We fabricated a new sample at a different speed,and the thermal conductivity measurement agrees well with the value predicted from the correlation.To explore thermal transport physics,the effects of pore structure and temperature on the thermal performance of the printed block are also studied.Our work demonstrates that the combination of the 3D printing technique and the printing speed control can regulate the thermophysical properties of materials.Qiangsheng Sun Zhixiang Xue Yang Chen Ruding Xia Jianmei Wang Shen Xu Jun Zhang Yanan Yue 2022International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2022,4,1:1
3Effect of Combined Application of Humic Acid and Urea on the Wheat Growth and Yield显示文摘This paper aims to research the effects of combined application of humic acid and urea on the wheat yield and yield component,and establish rational fertilizer application scheme of wheat. Split plot experiment was adopted. Two types of phosphorus fertilizer( adding humic acid or not) was assigned to the main plot,and four types of top dressing modes( different amount of urea and humic acid urea) were used in subplots. Effects of combined application of humic acid and urea on the wheat yield and yield component were researched. 375 kg / ha ordinary DAP + 150 kg / ha urea was used as base fertilizer; topdressing of 300 kg / ha urea humate could effectively promote the plant height,leaf area coefficient and aboveground dry matter amount. Adding humic acid in urea in topdressing significantly enhanced the wheat yield and economic coefficient of wheat. 4DeepNitro: Prediction of Protein Nitration and Nitrosylation Sites by Deep Learning显示文摘Protein nitration and nitrosylation are essential post-translational modifications(PTMs)involved in many fundamental cellular processes. Recent studies have revealed that excessive levels of nitration and nitrosylation in some critical proteins are linked to numerous chronic diseases.Therefore, the identification of substrates that undergo such modifications in a site-specific manner is an important research topic in the community and will provide candidates for targeted therapy. In this study, we aimed to develop a computational tool for predicting nitration and nitrosylation sites in proteins. We first constructed four types of encoding features, including positional amino acid distributions, sequence contextual dependencies, physicochemical properties, and position-specificscoring features, to represent the modified residues. Based on these encoding features, we established a predictor called DeepNitro using deep learning methods for predicting protein nitration and nitrosylation. Using n-fold cross-validation, our evaluation shows great AUC values for DeepNitro, 0.65 for tyrosine nitration, 0.80 for tryptophan nitration, and 0.70 for cysteine nitrosylation, respectively,demonstrating the robustness and reliability of our tool. Also, when tested in the independent dataset, DeepNitro is substantially superior to other similar tools with a 7%à42% improvement in the prediction performance. Taken together, the application of deep learning method and novel encoding schemes, especially the position-specific scoring feature, greatly improves the accuracy of nitration and nitrosylation site prediction and may facilitate the prediction of other PTM sites. 5Effect of surface roughness on the angular acceleration for a droplet on a super-hydrophobic surface显示文摘The motion of droplets on a super‐hydrophobic surface,whether by sliding or rolling,is a hot research topic.It affects the performance of super‐hydrophobic materials in many industrial applications.In this study,a super‐hydrophobic surface with a varied roughness is prepared by chemical‐etching.The adhesive force of the advancing and receding contact angles for a droplet on a super‐hydrophobic surface is characterized.The adhesive force increases with a decreased contact angle,and the minimum value is 0.0169 mN when the contact angle is 151.47°.At the same time,the motion of a droplet on the superhydrophobic surface is investigated by using a high‐speed camera and fluid software.The results show that the droplet rolls instead of sliding and the angular acceleration increases with an increased contact angle.The maximum value of the angular acceleration is 1,203.19 rad/s^(2) and this occurs when the contact angle is 151.47°.The relationship between the etching time,roughness,angular acceleration,and the adhesion force of the forward and backward contact angle are discussed.Longyang LI Jingfang ZHU Zhixiang ZENG Eryong LIU Qunji XUE 2021Friction2021,9,5:1

7Effect of baclofen combined with neural facilitation technique on the reduction of muscular spasm in patients with spinal cord injury显示文摘BACKGROUND: Recent researches have demonstrated that baclofen is a commonly central anti-spasm drug. In addition, neural facilitation technique based on nerve development and neurophysiology is widely used for rehabilitation training of motor disorder after central nerve injury. However, whether baclofen combining with neural facilitation technique can relieve muscular spasm after spinal cord injury needs further studies. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of baclofen combining with neural facilitation technique on decreasing muscular tension in two lower extremities after spinal cord injury. DESIGN: Randomized controlled study. SETTING: Departments of Rehabilitation and Orthopaedics, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 28 patients with spinal cord injury, including 17 males and 11 females, whose age ranged from 31 to 71 years, were selected from Departments of Rehabilitation and Orthopaedics, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College from March 2005 to September 2006. The illness course ranged from 22 to 54 days and the mean course was (38±8) days. All patients were diagnosed as the first onset and the increase of extensor muscular tension in two lower extremities after thoracic vertebra injury by using spine MR or CT examination. Informed consents were obtained from all the patients. METHODS: All 28 patients who had upper motor neuronal paralysis in two lower extremities after spinal cord injury in thoracic vertebra region were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 14 cases in each group. Patients in both groups received routine therapy, while those in the treatment group were treated with oral baclofen (the beginning dosage: 5 mg/time; three times per day, 5 mg was increased every three days; the maximal dosage was 60 mg/day; 6 weeks in total) (made in Weicai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.; tablet; batch number: HC20040029) combining with neural facilitation technique, which accorded to Rood technique (slight joint extrusion, slow and persistent stretch, etc.), Brunnstrom technique (non-symmetric cervical reflex: head turning to one side promoting contralateral flexuosity in both upper and lower extremities) and Bobath technique (reflective inhibition, such as reducing supine position; increasing lateral recumbent position, rolling in bed and posture transfer; controlling key sites; 6 weeks in total). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: At 6 weeks after treatment, modified Ashworth grading method and Barthel Index were used to detect extensor muscular tension in two lower extremities and activities of daily living (ADL) of patients in both groups. RESULTS: ① Grade of muscular tension in two lower extremities: At 6 weeks after treatment, muscular tension in the treatment group was classified into gradeⅠ (n =12), gradeⅡ (n =2) and grade Ⅲ(n =0), which was markedly improved as compared with that in the control group [grade Ⅰ (n =6), grade Ⅱ (n =4) and grade Ⅲ (n =4)]. In addition, there was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). ② ADL ability: Barthel Index of patients with complete and incomplete spinal cord injury in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group at 6 weeks after treatment, and there was significant difference between them (P < 0.05). 8Screening of rootstocks with resistance to chilling and continuous cropping but without compromising fruit quality for protected watermelon production显示文摘Chilling stress and continuous cropping obstacles limit sustainable production of watermelons under controlled environments.Grafting of watermelon scions onto resistant rootstocks is an effective strategy currently used to overcome these environment limitations.However,currently used commercial rootstocks adversely affect watermelon fruit quality.The chilling tolerance and Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.niveum race 1(FON1)resistance of seven Cucurbit germplasms,including four watermelon germplasms(M08,TC,YL,and MY),two muskmelon cultivars(JT1 and JSM),and one commercial Cucurbita rootstock(QZ1)of watermelon,were explored in the current study.The effects of the rootstocks of these germplasms on watermelon resistance to chilling stress and continuous cropping obstacles were evaluated.TC rootstock showed the highest chilling tolerance and increased chilling tolerance of watermelon scion.All Cucurbit germplasms showed higher resistance to FON1 than watermelon cultivar N5(control).Watermelons grafted onto QZ1 showed the lowest wilt incidence and highest fruit yield but had the worst fruit quality after planting on soils continuously cropped for 11 years.Watermelons grafted onto TC showed higher resistance and yield and the best fruit quality.These findings indicate that TC has a large potential for use in grafting watermelon planted in continuously cropped soils(<10 years).TC can also be used as breeding rootstocks to improve watermelon resistance against continuous cropping obstacles without compromising fruit quality.Kai Xu Zhixiang Lan Qing Liu Yuxing Xue Jingyi Yan Zhuangzhuang Su Mengjie Cheng Feishi Luan Xian Zhang Hao Li 2022Vegetable Research2022,2,1:0
