1SIMULATION OF MAXIMUM LIGHT USE EFFICIENCY FOR SOME TYPICAL VEGETATION TYPES IN CHINA显示文摘Maximum light use efficiency (εmax) is a key parameter for the estimation of net primary pro-ductivity (NPP) derived from remote sensing data. There are still many divergences about its value for each vegetation type. The εmax for some typical vegetation types in China is simulated using a modi-fied least squares function based on NOAA/AVHRR remote sensing data and field-observed NPP data. The vegetation classification accuracy is introduced to the process. The sensitivity analysis of εmax to vegetation classification accuracy is also conducted. The results show that the simulated values of εmax are greater than the value used in CASA model, and less than the values simulated with BIOME-BGC model. This is consistent with some other studies. The rela-tive error of εmax resulting from classification accuracy is ?5.5%―8.0%. 2Prognostic nutritional index is an independent prognostic factor for gastric cancer patients with peritoneal dissemination显示文摘Objective: The predictive and prognostic role of prognostic nutritional index(PNI) in gastric cancer patients with peritoneal dissemination remains unclear. This study aims to explore the role of the PNI in predicting outcomes of gastric cancer patients with peritoneal dissemination.Methods: A total of 660 patients diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma with peritoneal metastasis between January 2000 and April 2014 at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center and the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yatsen University were retrospectively analyzed. The clinicopathologic characteristics and clinical outcomes of patients with peritoneal dissemination were analyzed.Results: Compared with PNI-high group, PNI-low group was correlated with advanced age(P=0.036), worse performance status(P<0.001), higher frequency of ascites(P<0.001) and higher frequency of multisite distant metastasis(P<0.001). Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that PNI-high group had a significantly longer median overall survival than PNI-low group(13.13 vs. 9.03 months, P<0.001). Multivariate survival analysis revealed that Borrmann type IV(P=0.014), presence of ascites(P=0.017) and lower PNI(P=0.041) were independent poor prognostic factors, and palliative surgery(P<0.001) and first-line chemotherapy(P<0.001) were good prognostic factors. For patients receiving palliative surgery, the postoperative morbidity rates in the PNI-low group and PNIhigh group were 9.1% and 9.9%, respectively(P=0.797). 3Dissecting the role of AMP-activated protein kinase in human diseases显示文摘AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK), known as a sensor and a master of cellular energy balance, integrates various regulatory signals including anabolic and catabolic metabolic processes.Accompanying the application of genetic methods and a plethora of AMPK agonists, rapid progress has identified AMPK as an attractive therapeutic target for several human diseases, such as cancer, type2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury and neurodegenerative disease. The role of AMPK in metabolic and energetic modulation both at the intracellular and whole body levels has been reviewed elsewhere. In the present review, we summarize and update the paradoxical role of AMPK implicated in the diseases mentioned above and put forward the challenge encountered. 6New method for camera pose estimation based on line correspondence显示文摘The key technology of the measuring method of pose shaking of unstable platform based on CCD lies in the camera pose estimation.A new method for camera pose estimation based on line correspondence is put forward in this paper.First,two appropriate lines are selected in the space to establish a local coordinate system,the remaining lines form three-line sets with these two lines respectively and then the angle depth of the lines of the local coordinate system can be obtained by using the linearity of interpretation plane;then the invariance of included angle between spatial coordinate system and camera coordinate system during rigid transformation is used to establish a constraint equation set of angle depth of three lines similar to traditional P3P,and the corresponding angle depth of the third line in the set can be obtained linearly by variable substitution;finally,the rotation matrix can be expressed with quaternion and the pose parameters of camera in the space can be calculated by singular value decomposition(SVD).The static experiment and dynamic experiment verify the accuracy and stability of the algorithm and that the camera pose shocking is within 1°and the 3σ error is superior to 0.3′.The method in this paper can be directly used in the micro-vibration measurement of experimental platform and robot navigation and other fields and is of important theoretical significance and engineering application prospect.LIU JinBo ZHANG XiaoHu LIU HaiBo YUAN Yun ZHU ZhaoKun YU QiFeng 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,11:11
7The Cenozoic activities of Yangjiang-Yitongdong Fault: insights from analysis of the tectonic characteristics and evolution processes in western Zhujiang(Pearl) River Mouth Basin显示文摘The Yangjiang-Yitongdong Fault (YJF) is an important NW-trending regional fault, which divides the Zhujiang (Pearl) River Mouth Basin (ZRMB) into western and eastern segments. In Cenozoic, the northern continental margin of the South China Sea (SCS) underwent continental rifting, breakup, seafloor spreading and thermal subsidence processes, and the Cenozoic activities of YJF is one part of this series of complex processes. Two long NW-trending multichannel seismic profiles located on both sides of the YJF extending from the continental shelf to Continent-Ocean Boundary (COB) were used to study the tectonic and sedimentary characteristics of western ZRMB. Using the 2D-Move software and back-stripping method, we constructed the balance cross-section model and calculated the fault activity rate. Through the comprehensive consideration of tectonic position, tectonic evolution history, featured structure, and stress analysis, we deduced the activity history of the YJF in Cenozoic. The results showed that the YJF can be divided into two segments by the central uplift belt. From 65 Ma to 32 Ma, the YJF was in sinistral motion as a whole, inherited the preexisting sinistral motion of Mesozoic YJF, in which, the southern part of YJF was mainly in extension activity, controlling the formation and evolution of Yunkai Low Uplift, coupled with slight sinistral motion. From 32 Ma to 23.8 Ma, the sinistral motion in northern part of YJF continued, while the sinistral motion in southern part began to stop or shifted to a slightly dextral motion. After 23.8 Ma, the dextral motion in southern part of YJF continued, while the sinistral motion in northern part of YJF gradually stopped, or shifted to the slightly dextral motion. The shift of the YJF strike-slip direction may be related to the magmatic underplating in continent-ocean transition, southeastern ZRMB. 8A potential strategy for treating atherosclerosis: improving endothelial function via AMP-activated protein kinase显示文摘Endothelial dysfunction is caused by many factors, such as dyslipidemia, endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress, and inflammation.It has been demonstrated that endothelial dysfunction is the initial process of atherosclerosis. AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK) is an important metabolic switch that plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and inflammation. However, recent evidence indicates that AMPK could be a target for atherosclerosis by improving endothelial function. For instance, activation of AMPK inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species induced by mitochondrial dysfunction, ER stress, and NADPH oxidase. Moreover, activation of AMPK inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory factors induced by dyslipidemia and hyperglycemia and restrains production of perivascular adipose tissue-released adipokines. AMPK activation prevents endothelial dysfunction by increasing the bioavailability of nitric oxide. 10Thrust producing mechanisms in ray-inspired underwater vehicle propulsion显示文摘This paper describes a computational study of the hydrodynamics of a ray-inspired underwater vehicle conducted concurrently with experimental measurements.High-resolution stereo-videos of the vehicle's fin motions during steady swimming are obtained and used as a foundation for developing a high fidelity geometrical model of the oscillatory fin.A Cartesian grid based immersed boundary solver is used to examine the flow fields produced due to these complex artificial pectoral fin kinematics.Simulations are carried out at a smaller Reynolds number in order to examine the hydrodynamic performance and understand the resultant wake topology.Results show that the vehicle's fins experience large spanwise inflexion of the distal part as well as moderate chordwise pitching during the oscillatory motion.Most thrust force is generated by the distal part of the fin,and it is highly correlated with the spanwise inflexion.Two sets of inter-connected vortex rings are observed in the wake right behind each fin.Those vortex rings induce strong backward flow jets which are mainly responsible for the fin thrust generation.Geng Liu Yan Ren Jianzhong Zhu Hilary Bart-Smith Haibo Dong 2015Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2015,5,1:6

12Correction method for non-landing measuring of vehicle-mounted theodolite based on static datum conversion显示文摘During the non-landing measuring of vehicle mounted theodolite, especially under high-speed tracking measurement, the misalignment of theodolite's center of mass and spindle etc. will cause high-frequency vibration of theodolite platform, increase the observation error of targets and even unbelievable results. In this paper, a correction method of non-landing measuring of theodolite based on static datum conversion is presented, which can effectively improve the observation accuracy of theodolite. The CCD camera is fixed to the theodolite platform to calculate the gesture shaking quantity of theodolite platform in geodetic coordinate system through the real time imaging of static datum. The observation results of theodolite are corrected by using such shaking quantity. The experiment shows that the correction accuracy exceeds 10 s of arc. The intrinsic parameter calibration technology of camera based on stellar angular distance and absolute conic put forward in this paper can prevent the estimated error of extrinsic parameters influencing the intrinsic parameter calibration and improve the intrinsic parameter calibration accuracy; the static datum conversion technology can reduce the influence of installation error of camera and theodolite platform on gesture measuring of the platform. The simulation experiment shows that when the shaking range of the platform is less than 30 min of arc, the influence of the three-axis installation error of camera within 3deg on the accuracy of correction results is less than 8 s of arc. 14Dependence of magnetic properties on microstructure and composition of Ce-Fe-B sintered magnets显示文摘In this paper,dependence of magnetic properties on microstructure and composition of Ce-Fe-B sintered magnets with Cu-doped Ce-rich alloy addition was investigated.It shows that the maximum energy product(BH)(max)and coercivity H(cj)of Ce-Fe-B sintered magnet are improved from 6.76 to 9.13 MGOe by 35.1%,and from 1.44 to 1.67 kOe by 16.0%,respectively,via adding 5 wt%liquid phase alloy of Ce(35.58)Fe(57.47)Cu6 B(0.95)(at%).Compared with the magnet without Cerich alloy addition,the volume fraction of the grain-boundary phase with low melting point increases in the magnet with Ce-rich alloy additio n,which is be ne ficial to imp roving the microstructure and promoting the coercivity enhancement of the magnet.In the Ce-Fe-B magnet with Ce-rich alloy addition,Cu and Ce enrich in the grain boundaries of the magnet after annealing,therefore the as-annealed magnet has a higher coercivity than the as-sintered magnet.A distinct Fe-rich layer with the average thickness of 60 nm is found in the grain boundaries in the magnet without Ce-rich alloy addition,but it seems that Fe-rich phase disappears in the magnet with Ce-rich alloy addition.The present work suggests that the further improvement of coercivity in the Ce-Fe-B sintered magnets is expectable by designing the composition and structure of added liquid phase alloys.Longlong Xi Anhua Li Haibo Feng Min Tan Wei Sun Minggang Zhu Wei Li 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,8:4
15PtNi-W/C with Atomically Dispersed Tungsten Sites Toward Boosted ORR in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Devices显示文摘The performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cells is heavily dependent on the microstructure of electrode catalyst especially at low catalyst loadings.This work shows a hybrid electrocatalyst consisting of PtNi-W alloy nanocrystals loaded on carbon surface with atomically dispersed W sites by a two-step straightforward method.Single-atomic W can be found on the carbon surface,which can form protonic acid sites and establish an extended proton transport network at the catalyst surface.When implemented in membrane electrode assembly as cathode at ultra-low loading of 0.05 mgPt cm^(−2),the peak power density of the cell is enhanced by 64.4%compared to that with the commercial Pt/C catalyst.The theoretical calculation suggests that the single-atomic W possesses a favorable energetics toward the formation of*OOH whereby the intermediates can be efficiently converted and further reduced to water,revealing a interfacial cascade catalysis facilitated by the single-atomic W.This work highlights a novel functional hybrid electrocatalyst design from the atomic level that enables to solve the bottle-neck issues at device level.Huawei Wang Jialong Gao Changli Chen Wei Zhao Zihou Zhang Dong Li Ying Chen Chenyue Wang Cheng Zhu Xiaoxing Ke Jiajing Pei Juncai Dong Qi Chen Haibo Jin Maorong Chai Yujing Li 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,9:3

17Low-temperature sintered(Na_(1/2)Bi_(1/2))TiO_(3)-based incipient piezoceramics for co-fired multilayer actuator application显示文摘Low-temperature sintered(Na_(1/2)Bi_(1/2))_(0.935)Ba_(0.065)Ti_(0.975)(Fe_(1/2)Nb_(1/2))_(0.025)O_(3)(NBT-BT-0.025FN)lead-free incipient piezoceramics were investigated using high-purity Li_(2)CO_(3) as sintering aids.With the ≤0.5 wt%Li_(2)CO_(3) addition,the introduced Li^(+) cations precede to enter the A-sites of the perovskite lattice to compensate for the A-site deficiencies.Once the addition exceeds 0.5 wt%,the excess Lit cations will occupy B-sites and give rise to the generation of oxygen vacancies,which accelerate the mass transport and thus lower the sintering temperature effectively from 1100℃ down to 925℃.It was also found that a small amount of Lit addition has little effect on the phase structure and electromechanical properties of the system,but overweight seriously disturbs these characteristics because of the large lattice distortion.The sintered NBT-BT-0.025FN incipient piezoceramics with 1.25 wt%Li_(2)CO_(3) addition at 925℃ provides a large strain of 0.33% and a corresponding large signal piezoelectric coefficient d_(33)^(*) of 550 pm/V at 60 kV/cm,indicating this system is a very promising candidate for lead-free co-fired multilayer actuator application.Pengyuan Fan Yangyang Zhang Shan-Tao Zhang Bing Xie Yiwei Zhu Mohsin Ali Marwat Weigang Ma Kai Liu Liang Shu Haibo Zhang 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,3:3

19Pt-Sn clusters anchored at Al_(penta)^(3+) sites as a sinter-resistant and regenerable catalyst for propane dehydrogenation显示文摘Pt-based catalysts are widely used in propane dehydrogenation reaction for the production of propylene.Suppressing irreversible deactivation caused by the sintering of Pt particles under harsh conditions and regeneration process is a significant challenge in this catalyst.Herein,a series of highly ordered mesoporous Al_(2)O_(3) supports with different levels of Al3+penta sites,are fabricated and used as the support to disperse Pt-Sn_(2) clusters.Characterizations of Pt-Sn_(2)/meso-Al_(2)O_(3) with XRD,NMR,CO-IR,STEM,TG,and Raman techniques along with propane dehydrogenation-regeneration cycles test reveal the structure-stability-re generability relationship.The coordinatively unsaturated pentacoordinate Al_(Al3+penta)^(3+)can strongly anchor Pt atoms via a formation of Al-O-Pt bond,and thus stabilize the Pt-based particles at the surface of Al_(2)O_(3).The stability and regenerability of Pt-Sn2/meso-Al_(2)O_(3) are strongly dependent on the content of Al3+penta sites in the Al_(2)O_(3) structure,and a high level of Al3+penta sites can effectively prevent the agglomeration of Pt-Sn2 clusters into large Pt nanoparticles in the consecutive dehydrogenation-regeneration cycles.The Pt-Sn2/meso-Al_(2)O_(3)-600 with the highest level of Al_(penta)^(3+) (50.8%)delivers the best performance in propane dehydrogenation,which exhibits propane conversion of 40%and propylene selectivity above 98%at 570℃ with 10 vol%C_(3)H_(8) and 10 vol% H_(2) feed.A slow deactivation in this catalyst is ascribed to the formation of coke,and the catalytic performance can be fully restored in the consecutive dehydrogenation-regeneration cycles via a simple calcination treatment.Xinyue Zhu Tinghai Wang Zhikang Xu Yuanyuan Yue Minggui Lin Haibo Zhu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:2
20Bimetallic PtSn nanoparticles confined in hierarchical ZSM-5 for propane dehydrogenation显示文摘A series of PtSn/hierarchical ZSM-5 catalysts were developed for propane dehydrogenation,in which the PtSn bimetallic particles are confined in the mesopores of hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolite.The synthesis of PtSn/hierarchical ZSM-5 catalysts was achieved via the loading of Pt and Sn species onto the hierarchical ZSM-5 catalysts that are obtained through a desilication of conventional ZSM-5.The PtSn/hierarchical ZSM-5 catalysts were fully characterized by XRD,N_(2) adsorption,STEM,XPS,and CO-IR techniques,which reveals that highly dispersed PtSn bimetallic nanoparticles are enclosed into mesopores of hierarchical ZSM-5.The catalytic performance of PtSn/hierarchical ZSM-5 is greatly affected by the concentrations of alkali solution in the desilication process and Sn/Pt ratios in PtSn bimetallic particles.The PtSn1.00/ZSM-5(0.8)catalyst shows the highest efficiency in propane dehydrogenation,which gives an initial conversion of 46%and selectivity of 98%at 570℃.The high efficiency in these PtSn/hierarchical ZSM-5 catalysts for propane dehydrogenation is mainly ascribed to the confinement of PtSn particles in the mesopores of hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolite.Tianlei Wang Zhikang Xu Yuanyuan Yue Tinghai Wang Minggui Lin Haibo Zhu 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,1:2
