Antisense telomerase RNA induced human gastric cancer cell apoptosis显示文摘INTRODUCTION Human tissue homeostasis is precisely regulated bycellular division, differentiation and death.Normalhuman somatic cells progressively lose telomererestriction fragment(TRF)length with eachsuccessive cell division, eventually leading tocellular quiescence, chromosomal end-degradationand apoptosis. On the contrary, stabilization oftelomere lengths by expressing telomerase,an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase, may be involved incellular immortality and carcinogenesis.Fang Xin Zhang Xue Yong Zhang Dai Ming Fan Zi Yun Deng Yan Yan Han Ping Wu Jun Jie Fan 2000World Journal of Gastroenterology2000,6,3:24
Malnutrition and Quality of Life in Chinese Cancer Patients: a Clinical Study of 23,994 Subjects显示文摘Background Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer, and can negatively impact their quality of life(QoL)and even survival. However, there is currently no large data available on the prevalence of malnutrition in Chinese cancer patients. This study evaluated the prevalence of malnutrition and the QoL of Chinese patients with locoregional, recurrent or metastatic cancer. Methods We conducted a nationwide observational,multi-center,hospital-based cross-sectional study within the Chinese Society of Nutritional Oncology(CSNO)Network. All of the patients were diagnosed with one of the following 18 different types of malignant tumors:lung cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, malignant lymphoma, leukemia, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, brain cancer, biliary tract malignant tumors or gastrointestinal stromal tumors. These patients were enrolled from 72 hospitals located in different regions of China. The patients’nutritional status was evaluated based on the body mass index(BMI),loss of bodyweight, laboratory measurements and patient generated-subjective global assessment(PG-SGA)scores.The cancer patients’physical status and QoL were assessed by the Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)questionnaire and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer(EORTC)QLQ-C30 questionnaire, respectively. Results From December 2013 to April 2016,23,994 patients hospitalized for cancer treatment(such as surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy)were enrolled in the study. The patients included 12,494(52.9%)males and 11,124(47.1%)females.The mean age was 55.8±13.7 years. The proportions of patients in cancer stagesⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳand uncertain were 11.5%,20.3%,27.5%,30.2%and 10.5%,respectively.Among the 23,994 inpatients, the proportions of patients who were underweight(BMI<18.5 kg/m2),normal(18.5 kg/m2Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Zhen Ming Fu Chang Wang Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Fu Xiang Zhou Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Min Weng Qing Hua Yao Jiu Wei Cui Wei Li Han Ping Shi the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers(INSCOC)Group 2021Journal of Nutritional Oncology2021,6,1:8
Influencing factors on efficacy of summer acupoint application treatment for allergic rhinitis:a retrospective study显示文摘OBJECTIVE:Allergic rhinitis(AR) is a common health problem.Summer acupoint application treatment(SAAT) is reported to effectively treat and prevent AR from seasonal onset. In the present study,we aimed to evaluate its effects, especially on the course of AR,through a retrospective study.METHOD:A cross-sectional multicenter study was performed based on patients treated between 2008 and 2009 in 13 clinical centers in China.A total of 1058 outpatients aged ≥2 years with documented AR and ≥1 year SAAT were eligible for enrollment.A case report form(CRF) was completed by both patient and doctor. The CRF was designed to collect data on the patient's history of SAAT,AR condition, and self-reported health condition. The outcomes(dependent variables) were incidence and intensity of AR and concomitant medications used.Data were analyzed with ordinal logistic regression(OLR).RESULTS:Treatment course and seasonal pattern of AR were related to all dependent variables positively. After controlling for sample bias and confounding factors, the findings suggested that a 3-year treatment course had better efficacy(OR/incidence of AR:2.57,95%CI:1.76-3.76;OR/intensity of AR:2.17,95%CI:1.50-3.17;OR/concomitant medications:2.20,95% CI:1.50-3.23) compared with a 2-year or less treatment course.CONCLUSION:The results showed that:1)the length of treatment course was positively associated with the efficacy of SAAT(the longer the treatment course, the better the efficacy);and 2)SAAT was more efficacious in treating seasonal AR than non-seasonal AR.Jin Peng Xiaqiu Wu Jingqing Hu Yigong Fang Mingjie Zi Baoyan Liu 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3:7
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. The validity of the PG-SGA in Chinese cancer patients warrants further investigation in other cancer types.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2016Journal of Nutritional Oncology2016,1,1:7

Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Gastric Cancer Patients显示文摘Purpose Malnutrition is severe among gastric cancer patients in China. While the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is a widely used nutritional assessment tool, the validation for Chinese patients with gastric cancer has not been performed yet. The aim of this research is to validate the Chinese version of the PGSGA in Chinese gastric cancer patients by conducting analyses of nutrition screening and assessment data. Methods Two thousand consecutive adult patients with gastric cancer were included in this observational, cross-sectional study in several tertiary hospitals in China. A survey was made among those patients, which included several questionnaires and some anthropometric parameters. We calculated the parameters to validate the use of PG-SGA categorizing the nutritional status of gastric cancer patients. Then we performed statistical analysis to evaluate the internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity. Results This study verified the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate gastric cancer patients into different nutritional groups. The confirmatory factor analysis verified the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. The internal and external consistency was measured by a concordance analysis which showed an intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of 0.987. The correlations of the Box 4 score with the Karnofsky performance status score demonstrated alternative form validity with good external consistency (Pearson, r = 0.643, P < 0.001). All three anthropometric dimensions of the PG-SGA were supported by principal component analysis. Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were significant in the majority of tests. Conclusion The Chinese version of the PG-SGA is a valid tool to access the patients’ nutritional status for Chinese gastric patients.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2018Journal of Nutritional Oncology2018,3,4:5

Super-resolution imaging and tracking of TGF-β receptor II on living cells显示文摘Single-particle tracking photoactivated localization microscopy(spt PALM) has recently emerged as a powerful tool for high-density imaging and tracking of individual molecules in living cells. In this work, we have monitored and compared the diffusion dynamics of TGF-b type II receptor(Tb RII) at high expression level using both traditional single-particle tracking(SPT) and spt PALM.The ligand-induced aggregation of Tb RII oligomers was further indicated by spt PALM. Due to the capacity of distinguishing and tracking single molecules within diffraction limit, spt PALM outperforms traditional SPT by providing more accurate biophysical information.Zi Ye Nan Li Libo Zhao Yahong Sun Hefei Ruan Mingliang Zhang Jinghe Yuan Xiaohong Fang 2016Science Bulletin2016,61,8:3

The MING proposal at SHINE:megahertz cavity enhanced X‑ray generation显示文摘The cavity-based X-ray free-electron laser(XFEL)has promise in producing fully coherent pulses with a bandwidth of a few meV and very stable intensity, whereas the currently existing self-amplified spontaneous emission(SASE)XFEL is capable of generating ultra-short pulses with chaotic spectra. In general,a cavity-based XFEL can provide a spectral brightness three orders of magnitude higher than that of the SASE mode, thereby opening a new door for cutting-edge scientific research. With the development of superconducting MHz repetition-rate XFEL facilities such as FLASH,European-XFEL,LCLS-II,and SHINE,practical cavity-based XFEL operations are becoming increasingly achievable. In this study, megahertz cavity enhanced X-ray generation(MING)is proposed based on China’s first hard XFEL facility-SHINE,which we refer to as MING@SHINE.Nan‑Shun Huang Zi‑Peng Liu Bang‑Jie Deng Zi‑Han Zhu Shao‑Hua Li Tao Liu Zheng Qi Jia‑Wei Yan Wei Zhang Sheng‑Wang Xiang Yang‑Yang Lei Ya Zhu Yong‑Zhou He Qi‑Bing Yuan Fei Gao Rong‑Bing Deng Sen Sun Zhi‑Di Lei Zhi‑Qiang Jiang Meng‑Qi Duan Yuan Zhuan Xue‑Fang Huang Peng‑Cheng Dong Zhong‑Liang Li Shang‑Yu Si Lian Xue Si Chen Yong‑Fang Liu Ya‑Jun Tong Hai‑Xiao Deng Zhen‑Tang Zhao 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,1:2
Clinical Practice Guideline of Acupuncture for Bell's Palsy显示文摘Backgroud: Acupuncture is common used for Bell's palsy in clinic, however, recent systematic reviews all shows that there is no sufficient evidence to support the effectiveness of acupuncture for Bell's palsy because ofthe poor quality and heterogeneity. It's urgently necessary to develop a guideline of acupuncture for Bell's palsy based on principles of evidence-based medicine to optimize acupuncture treating, standardize outcomes evaluating and to improve the quality of acupuncture for patients with Bell's palsy under general circumstances. Objective: To improve the accuracy of diagnosing and managing Bell's palsy, optimize acupuncture treating and outcomes evaluating for patients with Bell's palsy, and to improve the quality of acupuncture for patients with Bell's palsy in most instances. Methods: This guideline was developed using an explicit and transparent a priori protocol based on supporting evidences and experts' consensus. The guideline developing Group followed the protocol through all stages of the development process: proposed clinical questions, searched clinical evidences, evaluated levels of evidences, developed recommendations, peer reviewed and consummated, and finally formed the draft of this guideline.Results:(1)The guideline development group made a Grade A recommendation that ①With a course of Bell's palsy within 3 months, the patients with mild facial palsy may be treated with any one of acupuncture, western drugs, or acupuncture combing with western drugs, whereas the patients with severe facial palsy may be treated with acupuncture or acupuncture combing with western drugs. With a course of more than 3 months, acupuncture is more suitable.②Acupuncture should be applied as early as possible for Bell's palsy.③The principle of selecting acupoints for Bell's palsy is to select local points, points of corresponding meridians and those according to differentiation. Generally, the points of yangming meridians are the main ones. ④The various methods of acupuncture and moxibustion are adopted for Bell's palsy, including filiform needling, moxibustion, electro-acupuncture, etc. Two or more methods are usually used together in clinical practice.(2) The development group formed expert consensus on the principles of acupuncture treatment for Bell' palsy. Bell's palsy is suitably treated according to the stages, differentiation and symptoms.Xi Wu Ying Li Yi-Hui Zhu Hui Zheng Qin Chen Xue-Zhi Li Ling Luo Fang Zeng Wen-Jing Huang Ling Zhao Xiao-Dong Wu Hong Zhao Ming-Jie Zi Xu Guo Si-Yuan Zhou Hui-Juan Tan Fan-Rong Liang 2015World Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,1,4:2
Effects of Blast Wave-induced Biomechanical Changes on Lung Injury in Rats显示文摘Objective To observe the dynamic impacts of shock waves on the severity of lung injury in rats with different injury distances. Methods Simulate open-field shock waves;detect the biomechanical effects of explosion sources at distances of 40,44,and 48 cm from rats;and examine the changes in the gross anatomy of the lungs, lung wet/dry weight ratio, hemoglobin concentration, blood gas analysis, and pathology. Results Biomechanical parameters such as the overpressure peak and impulse were gradually attenuated with an increase in the injury distance. The lung tissue hemorrhage, edema, oxygenation index, and pathology changed more significantly for the 40 cm group than for the 44 and 48 cm groups. The overpressure peak and impulse were significantly higher for the 40 cm group than for the 44 and 48 cm groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The animal mortality was significantly higher for the 40 cm group than for the other two groups(41.2%vs.17.8%and 10.0%,P<0.05).The healing time of injured lung tissues for the 40 cm group was longer than those for the 44 and 48 cm groups. Conclusions The effects of simulated open-field shock waves on the severity of lung injuries in rats were correlated with the injury distances, the peak overpressure, and the overpressure impulse.LIU Wei CHAI Jia Ke QIN Bin HAN Shao Fang WANG Xiao Teng JIANG Shuai BAI Hai Liang LIU Ling Ying CHANG Yang YUE Xiao Tong WU Yu Shou ZHANG Zi Hao TANG Lang 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,5:2
