| 2 | The five major autoimmune diseases increase the risk of cancer:epidemiological data froma large-scale cohort study in China显示文摘Background:Cancer incidence and mortality have received critical attention during the long-term management of morbidities in patients with autoimmune diseases(AIDs).This study aimed to investigate and compare the risk of cancer associated with five major AIDs in a large-scale Chinese cohort.Methods:A total of 8,120 AID patients consecutively admitted to a national tertiary referral center in China were included and followed-up for 38,726.55 patient-years,including those with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),rheumatoid arthritis(RA),Sjoren’s syndrome(SS),systemic scleroderma(SSc),and idiopathic inflammatory myositis(IIM).Demographic data,cancer incidence,predilecting sites and cancer onset time were recorded and compared among the five AIDs.Results:Four hundred and thirty(5.3%)patients developed cancer.Their median agewas 57.5 years and AID durationwas 79.8 months.The estimated total standardized incidence ratio(SIR)of cancer in AIDs patients was 3.37,with the highest SIR observed in IIM(4.31),followed by RA(3.99),SSc(3.77),SS(2.88)and SLE(2.58).The increased SIR of cancers in AID patients showed a female predominance(female vs.male:3.59 vs.2.77)and younger patient involvement(age<50 vs.≥50 years:4.88 vs.3.04).Patientswith SLE had increased SIRs for developing hematologic malignancies and solid tumors located in the urinary bladder,corpus uteri and cervix uteri.Patients with SS had a significantly high SIR for developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.Within 3 years of IIM diagnosis,74.6%of the patients developed cancer and they had a high risk of ovarian cancer.RA was associated with a wide distribution of scancers,including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma,gynecologic,urinary tract,thyroid gland and lung cancers.SSc patients had increased SIRs for developing cervical uterine,lung,and breast cancers.Conclusion:Patients with five major AIDs in China had an increased risk of developing cancer,with a predominance in women and younger patients,although cancer incidence,predilection sites and cancer onset time may vary greatly in each AID entity. | Ziyue Zhou Huazhen Liu Yiying Yang Jingya Zhou Lidan Zhao Hua Chen Yunyun Fei Wen Zhang Mengtao Li Yan Zhao Xiaofeng Zeng Fengchun Zhang Huaxia Yang Xuan Zhang | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022,42,5: | 4 |
| 3 | Serial nuclear transfer improves the development of interspecies reconstructed giant panda (Aluropoda melanoleucd) embryos显示文摘Interspecies somatic nuclear transfer (NT) may provide a new approach for preservation of the endangered rare species. Previous interspecies cloning studies have shown that a nucleus from a quiescent somatic cell supports early development of reconstructed embryos in the ooplasm from another species. In this study, we transferred nonqui-escent somatic cells from a giant panda into the perivitelline space of the enucleated rabbit oocytes. After electrofusion (at the rate of 71.6%) and electrical activation, 4.2% of the panda-rabbit reconstructed embryos developed to blastocyst in vitro. For improving the development rate of reconstructed embryos, we used serial NT in this study, i.e. blas-tomeres from reconstructed morulae were transferred into the perivitelline space of the enucleated rabbit oocytes. The fusion rates in the groups of serial I, serial Ⅱ and serial Ⅲ were 79.5%, 84.1% and 78.0%, respectively, having no difference with that of somatic group. | 4 | Design strategy for low-temperature sulfur etching to achieve high-performance hollow multifunctional electrode material显示文摘Zeolite Imidazole Framework(ZIF)has the advantages of large specific surface area,high porosity,and easy functionalization,so it looked like one of the most promising energy storage and conversion materials.In the meantime,transition metal oxides and sulfides have been widely used in environmental and energy conversion applications.Hence,a NaOH-assisted thioacetamide etching strategy is,therefore,designed with the metal-organic framework as precursor to realize the hollow nanostructure of ZIF bimetallic sulfide(Sx-CoCd-350)with abundant sulfur vacancies for enhanced catalysts oxygen evolution reaction(OER)/hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)performance and capacitance performance of capacitor.The overpotential of S_(2)-CoCd-350 in the OER process is 355 m V at 50 m A cm^(-2),which is substantially lower than other reported ZIF-based catalysts.S_(2)-CoCd-350 has an overpotential of 84 m V at 10 m A cm^(-2)when employed as HER catalyst.Furthermore,the S_(2)-CoCd-350 electrode did not alter appreciably during a long-term durability test of more than 10 h.More impressively,S_(2)-Co Cd-350 matches the activated carbon(AC)electrode with excellent capacitance performance 1220μWh cm^(-2)energy density(at 3370μW cm^(-2))and 25,000μW cm^(-2)(at 700μWh cm^(-2))maximum power density.In addition,the assembled supercapacitor has excellent cycling stability. | Hui Wen Ziyu Yi Zhenyu Hu Rui Guo Xuanwen Liu | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,24: | 1 |
| 5 | Linear Acceleration of an Undulatory Robotic Fish with Dynamic Morphing Median Fin under the Instantaneous Self-propelled Condition显示文摘Fish commonly execute rapid linear accelerations initiated during steady swimming,yet the function of the median fins during this process is less understood.We find that the erection/folding time(from the starting time of the linear acceleration(0 s)to the starting time of the folding movement of the fin),as well as the spreading area of the median fins,actively change during the linearacceleration of the live largemouth bass(Micropterus salmoides).To better understand the influence of the folding time and the area change of the median fins on the linear acceleration,we implemented an undulatory biomimetic robotic fish with soft median fins that can be programmed to erect and fold,just like a live fish.To characterize the acceleration performance of the robotic fish,we developed a'self-propelled'experiment technique based on the Kalman filter and Proportional-Integral-Derivative(PID)control algorithm.The experiments on the robotic fish show the acceleration induced by fully-erected median fins increases by 46.3%.Fully-erected median fins positively contribute to propulsion primarily at the onset stage of the linear acceleration while result in a significant decrease in steady swimming speed by 25%,which suggests a large drag force is induced at the steady swimming stage due to the enlarged wetted area.Parametric sweeping experiments on erection/folding time and spreading area demonstrate a proper combination of the erection/folding time and the spreading area enhances the mean linear acceleration by up to 85%.Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV)results reveal that the vortexes shed by the erected dorsal fin are stronger than those shed by the folded fin.As the acceleration process progresses,the thrust generated by the dorsal fins gradually is weakened until only resistance is generated in the end.Our findings may shed light on the realization of controllable surfaces on high performance fish-inspired robotic systems in the future. | Wenguang Sun Zemin Liu Ziyu Ren Gang Wang Tao Yuan Li Wen | 2020 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,2: | 1 |

| 8 | A gradient solid electrolyte interphase with high Li+conductivity induced by bisfluoroacetamide additive for stable lithium metal batteries显示文摘Stable Li metal anodes have become the driving factor for high-energy-density battery systems.However,uncontrolled growth of Li dendrite hinders the application of rechargeable Li metal batteries(LMBs).Here,a multifunctional electrolyte additive bisfluoroacetamide(BFA)was proposed to facilitate high-performance LMBs.The uniform and dense deposition of Li^(+) was achieved due to the reduced nucleation and plateau overpotential by the addition of BFA.Moreover,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)tests reveal a gradient solid electrolyte interface(SEI)structure on the Li metal surface.Cyclic voltammetry(CV)curves at different sweep speeds prove the formation of pseudocapacitance at the electrode-electrolyte interface,which accelerates the Li+transport rate and protects the electrode structure.The low activation energy also indicates the ability of rapid Li^(+) transportation in electrolyte bulk.Therefore,the Li||Li symmetric cells with 1.0 wt.%BFA electrolyte exhibit good cycling performance at 0.5 mA·cm^(−2)for over 2000 h,and Li||LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)(NCM622)full cells maintain a high capacity for 200 cycles at 1 C rate. | Zhaoyang Sun Ziyue Wen Yi Chen Yue Ma Jinxiang Zhang Yuejiao Li Li Li Renjie Chen | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,6: | 0 |

| 14 | Genomic diversity and ecological distribution of marine Pseudoalteromonas phages显示文摘Pseudoalteromonas,with a ubiquitous distribution,is one of the most abundant marine bacterial genera.It is especially abundant in the deep sea and polar seas,where it has been found to have a broad metabolic capacity and unique co-existence strategies with other organisms.However,only a few Pseudoalteromonas phages have so far been isolated and investigated and their genomic diversity and distribution patterns are still unclear.Here,the genomes,taxonomic features and distribution patterns of Pseudoalteromonas phages are systematically analyzed,based on the microbial and viral genomes and metagenome datasets.A total of 143 complete or nearly complete Pseudoalteromonas-associated phage genomes(PSAPGs)were identifed,including 34 Pseudoalteromonas phage isolates,24 proviruses,and 85 Pseudoalteromonas-associated uncultured viral genomes(UViGs);these were assigned to 47 viral clusters at the genus level.Many integrated proviruses(n=24)and flamentous phages were detected(n=32),suggesting the prevalence of viral lysogenic life cycle in Pseudoalteromonas.PSAPGs encoded 66 types of 249 potential auxiliary metabolic genes(AMGs)relating to peptidases and nucleotide metabolism.They may also participate in marine biogeochemical cycles through the manipulation of the metabolism of their hosts,especially in the phosphorus and sulfur cycles.Siphoviral and flamentous PSAPGs were the predominant viral lineages found in polar areas,while some myoviral and siphoviral PSAPGs encoding transposase were more abundant in the deep sea.This study has expanded our understanding of the taxonomy,phylogenetic and ecological scope of marine Pseudoalteromonas phages and deepens our knowledge of viral impacts on Pseudoalteromonas.It will provide a baseline for the study of interactions between phages and Pseudoalteromonas in the ocean. | Kaiyang Zheng Yue Dong Yantao Liang Yundan Liu Xinran Zhang Wenjing Zhang Ziyue Wang Hongbing Shao Yeong Yik Sung Wen Jye Mok Li Lian Wong Andrew McMinn Min Wang | 2023 | Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,2: | 0 |

| 16 | Redox-responsive phenyl-functionalized polylactide micelles for enhancing Ru complexes delivery and phototherapy显示文摘Poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(lactic acid)block copolymer(PEG-PLA)is one of the most widely used biomedical polymers in clinical drug delivery owing to its biocompatibility and biodegradability.However,endowing PEG-PLA micelles with high drug loading,self-assembly stability and fast intracellular drug release is still challenging.Redox-responsive diblock copolymers(MPEG-SS-PMLA)of poly(ethylene glycol)and phenyl-functionalized poly(lactic acid)with disulfide bond as the linker are synthesized to prepare PLA-based micelles that demonstrate excellent colloidal stability and high Ru loading.Notably,MPEGSS-PMLA achieved a remarkably high Ru loading efficiency of 84.3%due to the existence of strongπ-πstacking between phenyl and Ru complex.MPEG-SS-PMLA exhibited good colloidal stability in physiological condition but quickly destabilized by reductive tumor microenvironment.Interestingly,about 74%of Ru complex was released under 10 mmol/L GSH concentration.Ru-loaded MEPG-SS-PMLA showed efficient delivery and release of Ru complex into MCF-7 cancer cells,achieving enhanced in vitro and in vivo antitumor activity of photodynamic therapy.This feasible functionalization method of MPEG-PLA has appeared to be a clinically viable platform for controlled delivery therapeutic agents and enhanced phototherapy. | Maomao He Zongwei Zhang Ziyue Jiao Meiyu Yan Pengcheng Miao Zhiyong Wei Xuefei Leng Yang Li Jiangli Fan Wen Sun Xiaojun Peng | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,3: | 0 |
