| 1 | The mechanism of dentine hypersensitivity:Stimuli-induced directional cation transport through dentinal tubules显示文摘Dentine hypersensitivity is an annoying worldwide disease,yet its mechanism remains unclear.The long-used hydrodynamic theory,a stimuli-induced fluid-flow process,describes the pain processes.However,no experimental evidence supports the statements.Here,we demonstrate that stimuli-induced directional cation transport,rather than fluid-flow,through dentinal tubules actually leads to dentine hypersensitivity.The in vitro/in vivo electro-chemical and electro-neurophysiological approaches reveal the cation current through the nanoconfined negatively charged dentinal tubules coming from external stimuli(pressure,pH,and temperature)on dentin surface and further triggering the nerve impulses causing the dentine hypersensitivity.Furthermore,the cationic-hydrogels blocked dentinal tubules could significantly reduce the stimuli-triggered nerve action potentials and the anionhydrogels counterpart enhances those,supporting the cation-flow transducing dentine hypersensitivity.Therefore,the inspired ion-blocking desensitizing therapies have achieved remarkable pain relief in clinical applications.The proposed mechanism would enrich the basic knowledge of dentistry and further foster breakthrough initiatives in hypersensitivity mitigation and cure. | Nuo Chen Jingjing Deng Shengjie Jiang Xiang-Yu Kong Teng Zhou Kai Zhao Zuohui Xiao Huimin Zheng Weipeng Chen Congcong Zhu Xinyu Liu Liping Wen Yan Wei Xuliang Deng Lei Jiang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 2 |

| 9 | MDR1/P-Glycoprotein Overexpression in Bladder Transitional Cell Carcinoma and its Correlation with Expression of Survivin and Fas显示文摘OBJECTIVE To explore the expression of the MDR1/P-glycoprotein, Fas and survivin and to examine their correlation with the biologic behavior of bladder transitional cell carcinoma (BTCC). METHODS Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of P-gp, survivin and Fas in BTCC (n=64) and normal bladder mucosa (n=12). RESULTS The expression level of P-gp and survivin in BTCC was higher compared to normal bladder mucosa (P<0.01) and their expression was strongly correlated with clinical grading (P<0.01). In BTCC and normal bladder mucosa Fas expression was 50% and 100%, respectively (P< 0.01). Recurrent BTCC showed higher expression than primary BTCC (P< 0.01) and the expression of P-gp in BTCC had a reverse correlation with Fas expression but no correlation with survivin expression. CONCLUSUON The MDR of BTCC was strongly correlated with the ex- pression of P-gp and Fas, but was not correlated with survivin expres- sion. | 12 | Experimental Study on the Influence Mechanism of Carbon Fiber/Epoxy Composite Reinforcement and Matrix on Its Fire Performance显示文摘The effects of the number of layers,the arrangement of carbon fiber(CF)tow and the epoxy resin(ER)matrix on the fire performance of carbon fiber/epoxy composites(CFEC)were studied by a variety of experimental methods.The results show that the number of layers of CF tow has influence on the combustion characteristics and fire propagation of the composites.The arrangement of CF tow has influence on flame propagation rate and high temperature mechanicalproperties.The mechanism of the influence of the number of layers of CF tow on the composite is mainly due to the different thermal capacity of ER matrix.The effect of the arrangement of CF tow on the fire performance of the composite is mainly due to the inhibition and obstruction of the tow on the combustion of ER matrix.The influence on the high temperature mechanicalproperties is mainly due to the different arrangement direction of CF tow.The fitting equation of the mechanicalproperties of the samples was obtained.This equation could be used to predict the samples’tensile strength from 25°C to 150℃by comparing with the experimental results.Taking the carbon fiber woven cloth(C)applied in the fuselage material as an example,combining the influencing factors of various parameters in the fire field,some suggestions are put forward combined with the research conclusion. | Lei Zhang Haiyan Wang Junpeng Zhang Zhi Wang Zuohui Xu Xinyu Gao | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,3: | 0 |
