| 3 | A Chaos Sparrow Search Algorithm with Logarithmic Spiral and Adaptive Step for Engineering Problems显示文摘The sparrow search algorithm(SSA)is a newly proposed meta-heuristic optimization algorithm based on the sparrowforaging principle.Similar to other meta-heuristic algorithms,SSA has problems such as slowconvergence speed and difficulty in jumping out of the local optimum.In order to overcome these shortcomings,a chaotic sparrow search algorithm based on logarithmic spiral strategy and adaptive step strategy(CLSSA)is proposed in this paper.Firstly,in order to balance the exploration and exploitation ability of the algorithm,chaotic mapping is introduced to adjust the main parameters of SSA.Secondly,in order to improve the diversity of the population and enhance the search of the surrounding space,the logarithmic spiral strategy is introduced to improve the sparrow search mechanism.Finally,the adaptive step strategy is introduced to better control the process of algorithm exploitation and exploration.The best chaotic map is determined by different test functions,and the CLSSA with the best chaotic map is applied to solve 23 benchmark functions and 3 classical engineering problems.The simulation results show that the iterative map is the best chaotic map,and CLSSA is efficient and useful for engineering problems,which is better than all comparison algorithms. | Andi Tang Huan Zhou Tong Han Lei Xie | 2022 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,1: | 5 |
| 4 | Treatment of postoperative infectious complications in patients with human immunodef iciency virus infection显示文摘BACKGROUND: Antibiotics are widely given for surgical patients to prevent infection. Because of the lack of study on the rational use of antibiotics in patients with human immunodef iciency virus(HIV)-infected during surgical procedures, we analyzed the risk factors affecting postoperative infectious complications in HIV-infected patients and explore the rational use of perioperative antibiotics.METHODS: This retrospective study consisted of 308 HIV-infected patients, 272 males and 36 females, who had undergone operation at the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center from November 2008 to April 2012. The patients were divided into postoperative infection and non-infection groups. Their age and clinical variables were compared. The correlation between surgical incision, surgical site infection(SSI) and postoperative sepsis was analyzed. Prophylactic antibiotics were used for patients with type I and II incisions for less than 2 days. Patients with type III incisions were given antibiotics until the infection was controlled. Antiretroviral therapy(ART) was prescribed preoperatively for patients whose preoperative CD4 count was <350 cells/μL. For those patients whose preoperative CD4 count was <200 cells/μL, sulfamethoxazole and fluconazole were given preoperatively as prophylactic agents controlling Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia and fungal infection.RESULTS: A total of 196 patients developed postoperative infectious complications, and 7 patients died. Preoperative CD4 counts, ratio of CD4/CD8 cells, hemoglobin level, and postoperative CD4 counts, hemoglobin and albumin levels were risk factors of perioperative infection in HIV-infected patients. Patients with a preoperative CD4 count <200 cell/μL, anemia, a postoperative CD4 count <200 cell/μL or albumin levels <35 g/L were correlated with a higher rate of perioperative infection. There was a signif icant correlation between SSI and the type of surgical incision. The rate of SSI in patients with type I surgical incision was 2% and in those with type II surgical incision was 38%. All the patients who received type III surgical incision developed SSI, and they were more likely to develop postoperative sepsis.CONCLUSIONS: HIV-infected patients are more likely to develop postoperative infectious complications. | 11 | Characterizing cellular mechanical phenotypes with mechanonode-pore sensing显示文摘The mechanical properties of cells change with their differentiation,chronological age,and malignant progression.Consequently,these properties may be useful label-free biomarkers of various functional or clinically relevant cell states.Here,we demonstrate mechano-node-pore sensing(mechano-NPS),a multi-parametric single-cell-analysis method that utilizes a four-terminal measurement of the current across a microfluidic channel to quantify simultaneously cell diameter,resistance to compressive deformation,transverse deformation under constant strain,and recovery time after deformation.We define a new parameter,the whole-cell deformability index(wCDI),which provides a quantitative mechanical metric of the resistance to compressive deformation that can be used to discriminate among different cell types.The wCDI and the transverse deformation under constant strain show malignant MCF-7 and A549 cell lines are mechanically distinct from non-malignant,MCF-10A and BEAS-2B cell lines,and distinguishes between cells treated or untreated with cytoskeleton-perturbing small molecules.We categorize cell recovery time,ΔT_(r),as instantaneous(ΔTr~0 ms),transient(ΔT_(r)≤40 ms),or prolonged(ΔT_(r)>40 ms),and show that the composition of recovery types,which is a consequence of changes in cytoskeletal organization,correlates with cellular transformation.Through the wCDI and cell-recovery time,mechano-NPS discriminates between sub-lineages of normal primary human mammary epithelial cells with accuracy comparable to flow cytometry,but without antibody labeling.Mechano-NPS identifies mechanical phenotypes that distinguishes lineage,chronological age,and stage of malignant progression in human epithelial cells. | Junghyun Kim Sewoon Han Andy Lei Masaru Miyano Jessica Bloom Vasudha Srivastava Martha R.Stampfer Zev J.Gartner Mark A.LaBarge Lydia L.Sohn | 2018 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2018,4,1: | 0 |
