2Salt-Gathering and Potassium Formation of Potassium-Rich Brine during the Triassic in the Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘Potassium-rich brine in the Sichuan Basin has been much studied in recent years, but few studies have focused on the distribution and migration of salt basin and the differences of potassium formation mechanisms. This work examined the salt-gathering and potassium formation of potassiumrich brine during the Triassic in the Sichuan Basin using lithofacies palaeogeographic depiction and geochemical analyses.(1) The favorable sedimentary facies controlling the formation of potassium-rich brine during the Triassic in the Sichuan Basin are evaporation platform and restricted platform, whereas the salt basin is one of the main factors controlling the poly-salt center.(2) The distribution and migration of this salt basin were affected by certain factors. The salt basin of the Jialingjiang Formation was mainly distributed in the east and central Sichuan Basin, whereas that of the Leikoupo Formation was mainly distributed in the central and west Sichuan Basin. The sedimentary centers have gradually moved westward and become smaller.(3) Three main formation mechanisms were identified for the potassium-rich brine during the Triassic in the Sichuan Basin, i.e., evaporation and concentration of seawater, surface fresh water leaching, and deep water-rock reaction. Fresh water leaching was characterized by low anomaly δ18 O and δ13 C values. Water-rock reaction was mainly related to temperature, and high temperature environment(caused by burial depth, overthrust and deep hydrothermal fluids) was beneficial to water-rock reaction. The characteristics of water-rock reaction do not correspond to the increase ratio of K·103/Cl and Br·103/Cl in brine, and the Rb+ content of the brine was high.(4) The formation mechanisms of potassium-rich brine differed between different areas of the Sichuan Basin. In east Sichuan, the evaporation and concentration of seawater, together with meteoric fresh water leaching, was the main formation factor, whereas the evaporation and concentration of seawater and water–rock reaction predominated in west Sichuan. 5Rice FLOURY ENDOSPERM 18 encodes a pentatricopeptide repeat protein required for 5′ processing of mitochondrial nad5 messenger RNA and endosperm development显示文摘Pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR) proteins, composing one of the largest protein families in plants,are involved in RNA binding and regulation of organelle RNA metabolism at the posttranscriptional level. Although several PPR proteins have been implicated in endosperm development in rice(Oryza sativa), the molecular functions of many PPRs remain obscure. Here, we identified a rice endosperm mutant named floury endosperm 18(flo18) with pleiotropic defects in both reproductive and vegetative development.Map-based cloning and complementation tests showed that FLO18 encodes a mitochondriontargeted P-type PPR protein with 15 PPR motifs.Mitochondrial function was disrupted in the flo18 mutant, as evidenced by decreased assembly of Complex I in the mitochondrial electron transport chain and altered mitochondrial morphology. Loss of FLO18 function resulted in defective 5′-end processing of mitochondrial nad5 transcripts encoding subunit 5 of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydrogenase. 6Synthesis of lithium metal silicates for lithium ion batteries显示文摘The lithium metal silicates(Li_2MSiO_4)(where M = Mn, Fe, and Co) have a great potential in rechargeable lithium ion batteries as polyanion cathodes, due to the immanent merits such as superior electrochemical properties, low cost, and abundance. However, these merits are suffered from lower electrical and ionic conductivities, owing to the effect of poor lithium ion extraction/insertion kinetics. By building hybrid architectures, the integrated composites may afford much promoting activities towards lithium ion batteries compared with the bare ones. Kinds of synthetic methods such as template method,sol-gel method, and hydrothermal method have been successfully applied to prepare lithium metal silicates based compounds and composite materials. In this review, we aim to present a general view of Li_2MSiO_4 for the recent progress. The relationship between nanoarchitectures and electrochemical performances is discussed. 7Controlled Step-Growth Polymerization显示文摘Conjugated polymers are attractive components of modern plastic electronics and photovoltaic devices.They are synthesized mainly through a step-growth polymerization(SGP)mechanism.However,due to the uncontrollable characteristic of classical SGP,this effort leads to batch-to-batch variations in solubility,uncontrolled molecular weight,and broad polydispersity of the polymers obtained,thus,severely limiting their processing properties and performance.Here we demonstrate a general theoretical model of controlled SGP process by examining the possibility of the polymer chains further involvement in the SGP and how this correlated with their respective molecular weights.Subsequently,we proposed a practical method by which the SGP system was confined in nano-sized reactors.This method enabled the synthesis of a variety of polymers,having precisely controlled molecular weights with narrow polydispersity.We anticipate that this venture would exemplify a starting point for a more sophisticated molecular and structural design of functional polymers in widespread applications.Yusen Wu Mingming Ding Jie Wang Bing Zhao Ziqi Wu Peng Zhao Donglai Tian Yun Ding Aiguo Hu 2020CCS Chemistry2020,2,2:0
