1The role of m6A modification in the biological functions and diseases显示文摘N6-methyladenosine(m6A)is the most prevalent,abundant and conserved internal cotranscriptional modification in eukaryotic RNAs,especially within higher eukaryotic cells.m6A modification is modified by the m6A methyltransferases,or writers,such as METTL3/14/16,RBM15/15B,ZC3H3,VIRMA,CBLL1,WTAP,and KIAA1429,and,removed by the demethylases,or erasers,including FTO and ALKBH5.It is recognized by m6A-binding proteins YTHDF1/2/3,YTHDC1/2 IGF2BP1/2/3 and HNRNPA2B1,also known as'readers'.Recent studies have shown that m6A RNA modification plays essential role in both physiological and pathological conditions,especially in the initiation and progression of different types of human cancers.In this review,we discuss how m6A RNA methylation influences both the physiological and pathological progressions of hematopoietic,central nervous and reproductive systems.We will mainly focus on recent progress in identifying the biological functions and the underlying molecular mechanisms of m6A RNA methylation,its regulators and downstream target genes,during cancer progression in above systems.We propose that m6A RNA methylation process offer potential targets for cancer therapy in the future.Xiulin Jiang Baiyang Liu Zhi Nie Lincan Duan Qiuxia Xiong Zhixian Jin Cuiping Yang Yongbin Chen 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3:16
2Nitriding of Hard Fe Electrodepositionand Its Effects on Wear Resistance显示文摘Nitriding is employed for the hard Fe electrodeposition to produce a hard-facing and antiwear coating. It only takes 1 h for the hard Fe coating, which is much shorter than nitriding the Fe and steel. The results showed that the nitriding can increase the microhardness, wear resistance of the coating, as well as the bonding strength of the coating with the substrate. Additionally it can eliminate the brittleness, turn the internal stress of the coating from tension to compression. The wear resistance of the nitrided Fe coating is 4.6 times as high as that of Cr coating. 3Effects of the Composition of Electrodeposited Fe-Ni-P Alloy on the Thermostability and Magnetic Properties显示文摘The magnetic properties, structure defects of electrodeposited Fe-Ni-P alloys with various compositions and the thermostability at amorphous state have been studied by DSC, positron annihilation and electronic integrating instrument methods. The results show that the thermostability of amorphous Fe-Ni-P alloys increases with Fe content. Emergence and recrystallization of stable phases defer as the P content of the coating increases. The minimum Hc, Br and Ph occur at 9.4 P (wt pct) content. 5Study of polluted soil remediation based on freezing and thawing cycles显示文摘It is generally known that soil pollution poses a terrible hazard to the environment, but the present techniques of contaminated soil remediation cannot control this growing threat. This paper compares the pollutant extraction efficiency of traditional pumping and treating, which is a typical washing technology for the remediation of contaminated soils, with methods that utilize freeze-thaw cycles. In the soil freezing process, water shifts from unfrozen soils to the freezing front, and the permeability of soil will be enhanced under certain temperature gradients and water conditions. Therefore, this paper discusses the purification of contaminated soil through freeze-thaw action. We conducted a cleansing experiment on clay and silica sand infused with NaCl(simulation of heavy metals) and found that the efficiency of purification was enhanced remarkably in the latter by the freeze-thaw action. To assess the effective extraction of DNAPLs in soil, we conducted an experiment on suction by freezing, predicated on the different freezing points of moisture and pollutants. 6Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 7The mitochondrial function was impaired in APP knockout mouse embryo fibroblast cells显示文摘The amyloid precursor protein (APP) is recognized as the source of Aβ, which plays an important role in Alzheimer’s disease. However, the biological function of APP is obscure. Previous studies showed that mitochondria could be a target of APP. In this work, APP knockout mouse embryo fibroblast (MEF) cells were used to test if APP plays any role in maintaining the mitochondrial function. As the result, APP knockout MEF cells (APP-/- cells) showed the abnormal mitochondrial function, including slower cell proliferation, lower mitochondrial membrane potential, lower intracellular ROS, higher mitochondrial membrane fluidity and lower cytochrome c oxidase activity than their wild-type counterparts. 13Soot size distribution in lightly sooting premixed flames of benzene and toluene显示文摘The evolution of particle size distribution function(PSDF)of soot in premixed flames of benzene and toluene was studied on a burner stabilized stagnation(BSS)flame platform.The cold gas velocities were changed to hold the maximum flame temperatures of different flames approximately constant.The PSDFs of all the test flames exhibited a bimodal distribution,i.e.,a small-size nucleation mode and a large-size accumulation mode.It was observed that soot nucleation and particle growth in the benzene flame were stronger than those in the toluene flame at short residence times.At longer residence times,the PSDFs of the two flames were similar,and the toluene flame showed a larger particle size distribution range and a higher particle volume fraction than the benzene flame.Wang LIU Jiaqi ZHAI Baiyang LIN He LIN Dong HAN 2020Frontiers in Energy2020,14,1:1
14In-situ interaction of nano-PbS with gelatin显示文摘Water-soluble gelatin–PbS bionanocomposites(BNCs)were synthesized via a facile one-pot chemical reaction method at pH7.40.The samples were characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),UV-vis absorption spectra(UV-vis),Fourier transform infrared spectra(FT-IR)and circular dichroism(CD).FT-IR data were used to envisage the binding of PbS particles with oxygen atoms of carbonyl groups of gelatin molecule.The possible integration mechanism between gelatin and PbS was discussed in detail.The effect of Pb2+and PbS on the conformations of gelatin has also been analyzed by means of UV-vis,CD and FT-IR spectra,resulting in less-helix content and more open structures(-sheet,β-turn,or expanded).A new formula to calculate the association constant was proposed according to the relationship between the absorbance of gelatin–PbS BNCs and the free concentration of PbS,and apparent association constants K(298/303/308 K:3.11/2.00/1.60×106mol/L)at three different temperatures were calculated based on this formula.Thermodynamic parameters such asΔGθ,ΔHθ andΔSθ were also determined.The results of the thermodynamic investigations indicated that the reaction was spontaneous(ΔGθ<0),and enthalpy-driven(ΔHθ<0).WANG Jun TANG ShiHua WANG BaiYang LI YouQun 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,11:1

18Endogenously generated amyloid β increases membrane fluidity in neural 2a cells显示文摘The effect of endogenously generated amyloid β on membrane fluidity was investigated in Neural 2a cells stably expressing Swedish mutant amyloid precursor protein (APPswe). Membrane fluidity was studied by fluorescence polarizability using 1,6-Diphenyl-1,3,5-Hexatriene (DPH) as the fluorescence probe. It was found that the membrane fluidity in APPswe cells was significantly higher than that in its wild type counterparts. Alleviating the effect of amyloid β either by γ secretase activity inhibition or by amyloid antibody treatment decreased membrane fluidity, which indicated an important role of amyloid β in increasing membrane fluidity.
