1Chemical characteristics of PM_(2.5) during a typical haze episode in Guangzhou显示文摘The chemical characteristics(water-soluble ions and carbonaceous species) of PM2.5 in Guangzhou were measured during a typical haze episode.Most of the chemical species in PM2.5 showed significant difference between normal and haze days.The highest contributors to PM2.5 were organic carbon(OC),nitrate,and sulfate in haze days and were OC,sulfate,and elemental carbon(EC) in normal days.The concentrations of secondary species such as,NO3-,SO42-,and NH4+ in haze days were 6.5,3.9,and 5.3 times higher than those in normal days,respectively,while primary species(EC,Ca2+,K+) show similar increase from normal to haze days by a factor about 2.2-2.4.OC/EC ratio ranged from 2.8 to 6.2 with an average of 4.7 and the estimation on a minimum OC/EC ratio showed that SOC(secondary organic carbon) accounted more than 36.6% for the total organic carbon in haze days.The significantly increase in the secondary species(SOC,NO3-,SO42-,and NH4+),especially in NO3-,caused the worst air quality in this region.Simultaneously,the result illustrated that the serious air pollution in haze episodes was strongly correlated with the meteorological conditions.During the sampling periods,air pollution and visibility had a good relationship with the air mass transport distance;the shorter air masses transport distance,the worse air quality and visibility in Guangzhou,indicating the strong domination of local sources contributing to haze formation.High concentration of the secondary aerosol in haze episodes was likely due to the higher oxidation rates of sulfur and nitrogen species.TAN Jihua DUAN Jingchun HE Kebin MA Yongliang DUAN Fengkui CHEN Yuan FU Jiamo 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,6:71
2Combination of rhamnolipid and biochar in assisting phytoremediation of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil using Spartina anglica显示文摘Biochar (BC) and rhamnolipid (RL) is used in bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons,however,the combined effect of BC and RL in phytoremediation has not been studied until now.In this paper,the phytoremediation of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soil using novel plant Spartina anglica was enhanced by the combination of biochar (BC) and rhamnolipid (RL).Samples of petroleum-contaminated soil (10,30 and 50 g/kg) were amended by BC,BC+ RL and rhamnolipid modified biochar (RMB),respectively.After 60 day's cultivation,the removal rate of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs) for unplanted soil (UP),planted soil (P),planted soil with BC addition (P-BC),planted soil with BC and RL addition (P-BC + RL) and planted soil with addition ofRMB (P-RMB) were 8.6%,19.1%,27.7%,32.4% and 35.1% in soil with TPHs concentration of 30 g/kg,respectively.Compared with UP,the plantation of Spartina anglica significantly decreased the concentration of C8-14 and tricyclic PAHs.Furthermore,the application of BC and RMB alleviated the toxicity of petroleum hydrocarbons to Spartina anglica via improving plant growth with increasing plant height,root vitality and total chlorophyll content.High-throughput sequencing result indicated that rhizosphere microbial community of Spartina anglica was regulated by the application of BC and RMB,with increase of bacteria and plant mycorrhizal symbiotic fungus in biochar and RMB amended soil.Meinan Zhen Hongkun Chen Qinglong Liu Benru Song Yizhi Wang Jingchun Tang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,11:15
3TAA family contributes to auxin production during de novo regeneration of adventitious roots from Arabidopsis leaf explants显示文摘Many differentiated plant organs have the ability to regenerate into a new plant after detachment via de novo organogenesis. During de novo root organogenesis from Arabidopsis thaliana leaf explants, wounding first induces endogenous auxin production in mesophyll cells. Auxin is then polar transported to, and accumulates in, regenerationcompetent cells near the wound to trigger the cell-fate transition. The TRYPTOPHAN AMINOTRANSFERASE OF ARABIDOPSIS(TAA) family proteins and the YUCCA(YUC) family proteins catalyze two successive biochemical steps in auxin biogenesis, and YUCs have been shown to be involved in auxin production in mesophyll cells during de novo root organogenesis. In thisstudy, we show that the TAA family is also required for adventitious rooting. Inhibition of TAA blocked adventitious root formation from leaf explants. Intriguingly,whereas YUC1 and YUC4 have been shown to be highly induced by wounding, TAA genes retained consistent expression levels before and after leaf detachment.Therefore, we suggest that TAAs and YUCs are both required for auxin biogenesis in leaf explants, but they play different roles in regeneration. 4Genetic studies of schizophrenia:an update显示文摘Schizophrenia(SCZ) is a complex and heterogeneous mental disorder that affects about 1% of global population. In recent years,considerable progress has been made in genetic studies of SCZ. A number of common variants with small effects and rare variants with relatively larger effects have been identifi ed. These variants include risk loci identifi ed by genome-wide association studies,rare copy-number variants identifi ed by comparative genomic analyses,and de novo mutations identified by high-throughput DNA sequencing. Collectively,they contribute to the heterogeneity of the disease. 5Degradation of benzene derivatives in the CuMgFe-LDO/persulfate system:The role of the interaction between the catalyst and target pollutants显示文摘A novel insight on the role of interactions between target pollutants and the catalyst in the copper-containing layered double oxide(LDO)-catalyzed persulfate(PS)system was elucidated in the present study.4-Chlorophenol(4-CP),as a representative benzene derivative with a hydroxyl group,was completely removed within 5 min,which was much faster than the reaction of monochlorobenzene(MCB)without a hydroxyl group,with the degradation efficiency of 31.7%in 240 min.Through the use of radical quenching and surface inhibition experiments,it could be concluded that the interaction between 4-CP and CuMgFe-LDO,rather than free radicals,played a key role in the decomposition of 4-CP,while only the free radicals participated in the MCB degradation process.According to electron paramagnetic resonance and Xray photoelectron spectroscopy data,the formation of a Cu(II)-complex between phenolic hydroxyl groups and surface Cu(II)was primarily responsible for the degradation of phenolic compounds,in which PS accepted one electron from the complex and generated sulfate radicals and chelated radical cations.The chelated radical cations transferred one electron to Cu(Ⅱ)followed by Cu(I)generation and pollutant degradation successively.Yun Chen Da Ouyang Wenying Zhang Jingchun Yan Linbo Qian Lu Han Mengfang Chen 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,4:2

15The gap-free genome of mulberry elucidates the architecture and evolution of polycentric chromosomes显示文摘Mulberry is a fundamental component of the global sericulture industry,and its positive impact on our health and the environment cannot be overstated.However,the mulberry reference genomes reported previously remained unassembled or unplaced sequences.Here,we report the assembly and analysis of the telomere-to-telomere gap-free reference genome of the mulberry species,Morus notabilis,which has emerged as an important reference in mulberry gene function research and genetic improvement.The mulberry gap-free reference genome produced here provides an unprecedented opportunity for us to study the structure and function of centromeres.Our results revealed that all mulberry centromeric regions share conserved centromeric satellite repeats with different copies.Strikingly,we found that M.notabilis is a species with polycentric chromosomes and the only reported polycentric chromosome species up to now.We propose a compelling model that explains the formation mechanism of new centromeres and addresses the unsolved scientific question of the chromosome fusion-fission cycle in mulberry species.Our study sheds light on the functional genomics,chromosome evolution,and genetic improvement of mulberry species.Bi Ma Honghong Wang Jingchun Liu Lin Chen Xiaoyu Xia Wuqi Wei Zhen Yang Jianglian Yuan Yiwei Luo Ningjia He 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,7:1

18Mapping the scientific knowledge of glomalin-related soil protein with implications for carbon sequestration显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)derived refractory organic matter,mainly in glomalinrelated soil protein(GRSP),stores globally significant amounts of carbon,attracting wide attention in response to climatic change.However,there is no synthesis review has been done so far toreveal global research progresses on GRSP,especially its ecological role forclimate mitigation.Here,we conducted a bibliometric analysis of the papers on GRSP research from 1998 to 2021,based on the Web of Science(WOS)Core Collection.We collected a total of 634 papers and analyzed the characteristics of publication outputs in various countries and institutions.In addition,keywords analysis was conducted to reveal the main researchdirections and hot trends in the field of GRSP.We confirmed that 1)the number of papers published per year has gradually increased since 2010,and increased sharply in 2019;2)the United States was the earliest country to conduct GRSP research,while Chinacurrently has the largest number of publications;3)relevant studies focus on the role from AMF and GRSP in soil health and plant health;4)the contribution of GRSP to soil carbon and its ecological function in mitigatingclimate change are the hotspot of research.The benefits of GRSP have become a consensus,however,the nature of glomalin and the mechanisms of GRSP-associated benefits still need to explore.As an important soil recalcitrant organic carbon,further studies are need to elucidate the land-ocean biogeochemical processes of GRSP and its contribution to global blue carbon.Shanle Liu Qizhi Wang Lu Qian Binghuang Zhang Xiangwen Chen Hualong Hong Shengjie Wu Jingchun Liu Chongling Yan Haoliang Lu 2022Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2022,8,1:0
19Impact of festival factor on electric quantity multiplication forecast model显示文摘This research aims to improve the forecasting precision of electric quantity. It is discovered that the total electricity consumption considerably increased during the Spring Festival by the analysis of the electric quantity time series from 2002 to 2007 in Shandong province. The festival factor is ascertained to be one of the important seasonal factors affecting the electric quantity fluctuations, and the multiplication model for forecasting is improved by introducing corresponding variables and parameters. The computational results indicate that the average relative error of the new model decreases from 4.31% to 1.93% and the maximum relative error from 14.05% to 6.52% compared with those of the model when the festival factor is not considered.
