Myofiber necroptosis promotes muscle stem cell proliferation via releasing Tenascin-C during regeneration显示文摘Necroptosis,a form of programmed cell death,is characterized by the loss of membrane integrity and release of intracellular contents, the execution of which depends on the membrane-disrupting activity of the Mixed Lineage Kinase Domain-Like protein(MLKL)upon its phosphorylation. Here we found myofibers committed MLKL-dependent necroptosis after muscle injury.Either pharmacological inhibition of the necroptosis upstream kinase Receptor Interacting Protein Kinases 1(RIPK1)or genetic ablation of MLKL expression in myofibers led to significant muscle regeneration defects.By releasing factors into the muscle stem cell(MuSC)microenvironment, necroptotic myofibers facilitated muscle regeneration.Tenascin-C(TNC),released by necroptotic myofibers, was found to be critical for MuSC proliferation. The temporary expression of TNC in myofibers is tightly controlled by necroptosis;the extracellular release of TNC depends on necroptotic membrane rupture.TNC directly activated EGF receptor(EGFR)signaling pathway in MuSCs through its N-terminus assembly domain together with the EGF-like domain. These findings indicate that necroptosis plays a key role in promoting MuSC proliferation to facilitate muscle regeneration. | Shen'ao Zhou Wei Zhang Gaihong Cai Yingzhe Ding Caixia Wei Sheng Li Yu Yang Jie Qin Dan Liu Hao Zhang Xiexiang Shao Jianhua Wang Hongye Wang Wenjun Yang Huating Wang She Chen Ping Hu Liming Sun | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,12: | 4
Phase transfer based synthesis and thermophysical properties of Au/Therminol VP-1 nanofluids显示文摘This paper reports a phase transfer based wet chemistry method for the preparation of Au/VP-1 nanofluids. The method involves the transfer of AuCl 4 ions from water to the base liquid Therminol VP-1,followed by the reduction of AuCl 4 ions using NaBH 4.The prepared nanofluids are characterized for their thermophysical properties and stability. The results show that the mass concentration of Au particles has a significant effect on the stability of Au/VP-1 nanofluids. An increase in the Au concentration results in a higher extent of agglomeration among the particles, leading to a decrease in the nanofluid stability. The results also show that the introduction of 0.005-0.05% Au nanoparticles enhances the thermal conductivity of the fluids by up to 6.5%,whereas the viscosity increase is minimal. | Caixia Wang Jun Yang Yulong Ding | 2013 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,3: | 2

Identifying Heteroatomic and Defective Sites in Carbon with Dual-Ion Adsorption Capability for High Energy and Power Zinc Ion Capacitor显示文摘Aqueous zinc-based batteries(AZB s)attract tremendous attention due to the abundant and rechargeable zinc anode.Nonetheless, the requirement of high energy and power densities raises great challenge for the cathode development.Herein we construct an aqueous zinc ion capacitor possessing an unrivaled combination of high energy and power characteristics by employing a unique dual-ion adsorption mechanism in the cathode side.Through a templating/activating co-assisted carbonization procedure,a routine protein-rich biomass transforms into defect-rich carbon with immense surface area of 3657.5 m^(2) g^(-1) and electrochemically active heteroatom content of 8.0 at%.Comprehensive characterization and DFT calculations reveal that the obtained carbon cathode exhibits capacitive charge adsorptions toward both the cations and anions, which regularly occur at the specific sites of heteroatom moieties and lattice defects upon different depths of discharge/charge.The dual-ion adsorption mechanism endows the assembled cells with maximum capacity of 257 mAh g^(-1) and retention of72 mAh g^(-1) at ultrahigh current density of 100 A g^(-1)(400 C),corresponding to the outstanding energy and power of 168 Wh kg^(-1)and 61,700 W kg^(-1).Furthermore,practical battery configurations of solid-state pouch and cable-type cells display excellent reliability in electrochemistry as flexible and knittable power sources. | Wenjie Fan Jia Ding Jingnan Ding Yulong Zheng Wanqing Song Jiangfeng Lin Caixia Xiao Cheng Zhong Huanlei Wang Wenbin Hu | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4: | 1
Evolution of holometaboly revealed by developmental transformation of internal thoracic structures in a green lacewing Chrysopa pallens(Neuroptera:Chrysopidae)显示文摘Despite extensive studies on the morphology of holometabolous insects and their larvae, the morphological transformations of internal structures during metamorphosis have been rarely documented. Here,we used micro-computed tomography to investigate the developmental transformations of thoracic structures in the green lacewing Chrysopa pallens(Rambur,1838)(Neuroptera:Chrysopidae),with emphasis on the development of the digestive, tracheal, and thoracic skeleto-muscular system. All the adult organs were modified during the prepupal or early pupal stage. The histolysis and remodeling began with the skeletal elements, followed by changes in the digestive system before it concluded with modifications of the musculature.Similar to the tracheal system’s development, the digestive system did not disappear completely throughout metamorphosis but underwent a dramatic morphological change, which included the midgut significantly decreasing in size during the pupal stage. Our results provide important evidence for understanding the evolutionary pattern of developmental transformations in different major lineages of Holometabola. | Chenjing Zhao Mengqing Wang Caixia Gao Min Li Kuiyan Zhang Ding Yang Xingyue Liu | 2022 | Insect Science2022,29,3: | 0
A comprehensive overview of the electrochemical mechanisms in emerging alkali metal-carbon dioxide batteries显示文摘Alkali metal-carbon dioxide(Li/Na/K-CO_(2))batteries are emerging electrochemical energy storage technologies in the context of the energy crisis and the urgent demand for carbon neutrality.Alkali metal-CO_(2) batteries offer a new strategy for CO_(2) fixation and utilization, and thus has been receiving considerable attention in recent years.Considerable progress has been achieved since alkali metal-CO_(2) batteries were invented, especially in terms of development of new electrode materials, and yet, research is lacking on the underlying mechanisms of the systems. This is the first typical review focusing on the electrochemical mechanisms of metal-CO_(2) batteries that summarizes the current understanding of and provides insights into the thermodynamic reaction pathways, the kinetic characteristics, and the crucial factors determining the reaction mechanisms in alkali metal-CO_(2) batteries. The review starts with the fundamental concepts of alkali metal-CO_(2) batteries, followed by a comprehensive discussion of the working mechanisms on cathodes and anodes. Moreover, the operation mechanisms of state-of-the-art electrolytes, including liquid and(quasi-)solid-state electrolytes, are also described. Finally,we identify the unsolved problems in current alkali metal-CO_(2) batteries and propose potential topics for future research. | Jiangfeng Lin Wanqing Song Caixia Xiao Jingnan Ding Zechuan Huang Cheng Zhong Jia Ding Wenbin Hu | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,5: | 0
Immobilization and characterization of the Lactarius deliciosus mycelia-embedded polylysine-alginate beads and their decolorization performance显示文摘Liquid fermented fungal mycelia with decolorization capability have potential applications in scale-up. In this work, the Lactarius deliciosus mycelia were immobilized on ε-polylysine-alginate beads, and the decolorization effects of ε-polylysine-alginate beads were demonstrated along with Coomassie brilliant blue G-250 as a model dye. Morphology observation confirmed the beads had an exterior film and interior capsule with honeycomb microstructures suitable for mycelia growth. It was manifested that the maximum decolorization efficiency for mycelia was 98.5% at a removal rate of 0.68 mg·L^(-1)·h after 3 days. In comparison, the decolorization efficiency of the immobilized mycelia reached the maximum value of 97.3% at a removal rate of 6.1 mg·L^(-1)·h after 8 h. The enzyme activities of lignin peroxidase and laccase tested in the immobilized mycelia were significantly higher than in that of the free ones, such as the lignin peroxidase had the highest enzyme activity of 77.6 ± 7.4 U·L^(-1) in the former, while of 27.4 ± 8.7 U·L^(-1) in the latter. The immobilization of L. deliciosus mycelia could improve the decolorization of Coomassie brilliant blue G-250 efficiently. The prepared ε-polylysine-alginate beads embedded with L. deliciosus mycelia have very good reusability and a great potential in decolorizing analog dyes. | Yiwen Jin Jie Yuan Caixia Liu Jiacheng Sun Youbin Liu Zhifeng Ding Qingxi Wu | 2023 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,12: | 0
Preclinical and early clinical studies of a novel compound SYHA1813 that efficiently crosses the blood-brain barrier and exhibits potent activity against glioblastoma显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM)is the most common and aggressive malignant brain tumor in adults and is poorly controlled.Previous studies have shown that both macrophages and angiogenesis play significant roles in GBM progression, and co-targeting of CSF1R and VEGFR is likely to be an effective strategy for GBM treatment. Therefore, this study developed a novel and selective inhibitor of CSFIR and VEGFR,SYHA1813,possessing potent antitumor activity against GBM.SYHA1813 inhibited VEGFR and CSFIR kinase activities with high potency and selectivity and thus blocked the cell viability of HUVECs and macrophages and exhibited anti-angiogenetic effects both in vitro and in vivo.SYHA1813 also displayed potent in vivo antitumor activity against GBM in immune-competent and immune-deficient mouse models, including temozolomide(TMZ)insensitive tumors.Notably,SYHA1813 could penetrate the blood-brain barrier(BBB)and prolong the survival time of mice bearing intracranial GBM xenografts.Moreover,SYHA1813 treatment resulted in a synergistic antitumor efficacy in combination with the PD-1 antibody. As a clinical proof of concept,SYHA1813 achieved confirmed responses in patients with recurrent GBM in an ongoing first-in-human phase I trial. The data of this study support the rationale for an ongoing phase I clinical study(ChiCTR2100045380). | Yingqiang Liu Zhengsheng Zhan Zhuang Kang Mengyuan Li Yongcong Lv Shenglan Li Linjiang Tong Fang Feng Yan Li Mengge Zhang Yaping Xue Yi Chen Tao Zhang Peiran Song Yi Su Yanyan Shen Yiming Sun Xinying Yang Yi Chen Shanyan Yao Hanyu Yang Caixia Wang Meiyu Geng Wenbin Li Wenhu Duan Hua Xie Jian Ding | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12: | 0

PLAU plays a functional role in driving lung squamous cell carcinoma metastasis显示文摘The high mortality of patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC)results from metastasis rather than primary tumors,1 whereas the molecular pathogenesis of cancer metastasis remains poorly understood.PLAU encodes urokinase-type plasminogen activator(uPA)which is closely related to tumor diagnosis, treatment target, and prognosis of patients.2.3 We previously predicted that PLAU is a key gene negatively associated with overall survival by integrated multidimensional analyses of The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)datasets from 504 samples of LUSC tumor tissues and 46 samples of adjacent non-tumorous lung tissues.4 However, whether the role of PLAU contributes to the metastasis of LUC remains unclear. Here,we analyzed the association between uPA levels and LUSC and found that uPA levels were associated with pathological variations in LUSC patients. | Pengbo Ning Fuyu Du Xiaocheng Gong Jingtong Yuan Caixia Ding Xilian Zhao Wei Li | 2024 | Genes & Diseases2024,11,2: | 0
