1Plasmonic nano-printing: large-area nanoscale energy deposition for efficient surface texturing显示文摘The lossy nature of plasmonic wave due to absorption is shown to become an advantage for scaling-up a large area surface nanotexturing of transparent dielectrics and semiconductors by a self-organized sub-wavelength energy deposition leading to an ablation pattern—ripples—using this plasmonic nano-printing.Irreversible nanoscale modifications are delivered by surface plasmon polariton(SPP)using:(i)fast scan and(ii)cylindrical focusing of femtosecond laser pulses for a high patterning throughput.The mechanism of ripple formation on ZnS dielectric is experimentally proven to occur via surface wave at the substrate–plasma interface.The line focusing increase the ordering quality of ripples and facilitates fabrication over wafer-sized areas within a practical time span.Nanoprinting using SPP is expected to open new applications in photo-catalysis,tribology,and solar light harvesting via localized energy deposition rather scattering used in photonic and sensing applications based on re-scattering of SPP modes into far-field modes.Lei Wang Qi-Dai Chen Xiao-Wen Cao Ričardas Buividas Xuewen Wang Saulius Juodkazis Hong-Bo Sun 2017Light(Science & Applications)2017,6,1:15
2Mega-shoaling in carbonate platform of the Middle Triassic Leikoupo Formation,Sichuan Basin, Southwest China显示文摘Shoaling is a common type of sedimentation in the evolution of carbonate platform,and commonly has poor continuity.This paper presents a newly discovered and rare type of shoaling,i.e.,mega-shoaling in nearly basin scale,which is developed in the Middle Triassic Leikoupo Formation of the Sichuan Basin,southwest China.During the Leikoupo time,the studied Sichuan Basin experienced hot and dry climate conditions and developed a carbonate platform within a restricted epicontinental sea.In B sub-layer of the Lei-1-1 sub-member of the Leikoupo Formation a series of grainstones of shoal facies accumulated throughout almost the entire basin,thereby generating features associated with basin-scale mega-shoaling.By detailed core examination and microscopic observation of thin sections,it is shown that the lithology of this set of grainstones is dominated by doloarenite(calcarenite)followed by oolitic dolomite(limestone).In addition,it contains three types of sedimentary sequences characterized by upward-coarsening and upward-shallowing as the followings:restricted lagoon to platform interior beach;restricted lagoon to platform interior beach and to platform flat;and tidal flat to peritidal beach.Subsequently,a multicyclic stratigraphic division and correlation revealed that this set of grainstones can be well traced and compared horizontally,and is generally isochronous.In addition,a template for logging facies,established based on core calibrations and logging data,was employed to analyze the 235 wells in the basin.The results demonstrate the shoal grainstones to be 10–40 m thick with a15×104km2continuous distribution area.These findings indicate that the carbonate platform developed mega-shoals within a short period of time.The genesis of such a mega-shoaling was investigated by focusing on various shoaling conditions,such as paleo-tectonics,paleo-geomorphology,paleo-climate,sea-level changes,and palaeo-hydrodynamics.A specific combination of independent geological factors creates beneficial geomorphologic conditions for the mega-shoaling including a quiescent paleo-tectonic environment,relatively flat paleo-geomorphology and evaporites filling up and leveling off.In addition,a stably settling carbonate platform underwent sea-level fluctuations through swift transgressions and protracted regressions,which is not only conducive to continuous,multicyclic and superimposed vertical development of grain beaches but also beneficial for the horizontal migration,coalescence and superimposition of individual grain beaches.As a consequence,large-scale and continuously-distributed grain beach sedimentation emerges and mega-shoals develop.TAN XiuCheng LI Ling LIU Hong CAO Jian WU XiaoQing ZHOU SuYan SHI XueWen 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,3:12

5Numerical simulation of predicting and reducing solid particle erosion of solid-liquid two-phase flow in a choke显示文摘Chokes are one of the most important components of downhole flow-control equipment.The particle erosion mathematical model,which considers particle-particle interaction,was established and used to simulate solid particle movement as well as particle erosion characteristics of the solid-liquid two-phase flow in a choke.The corresponding erosion reduction approach by setting ribs on the inner wall of the choke was advanced.This mathematical model includes three parts:the flow field simulation of the continuous carrier fluid by an Eulerian approach,the particle interaction simulation using the discrete particle hard sphere model by a Lagrangian approach and calculation of erosion rate using semi-empirical correlations.The results show that particles accumulated in a narrow region from inlet to outlet of the choke and the dominating factor affecting particle motion is the fluid drag force.As a result,the optimization of rib geometrical parameters indicates that good anti-erosion performance can be achieved by four ribs,each of them with a height(H) of 3 mm and a width(B) of 5 mm equaling the interval between ribs(L).Li Guomei Wang Yueshe He Renyang Cao Xuewen Lin Changzhi Meng Tao 2009Petroleum Science2009,6,1:3
6Untangling the contributions of meteorological conditions and human mobility to tropospheric NO_(2) in Chinese mainland during the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020显示文摘In early 2020,unprecedented lockdowns and travel bans were implemented in Chinese mainland to fight COVID-19;which led to a large reduction in anthropogenic emissions.This provided a unique opportunity to isolate the effects from emission and meteorology on tropospheric nitrogen dioxide(N0_(2)).Comparing the atmospheric N0_(2) in 2020 with that in 2017,we found the changes of emission have led to a 49.3±23.5%reduction,which was〜12%more than satellite-observed reduction of 37.8±16.3%.The discrepancy was mainly a result of changes of meteorology,which have contributed to an 8.1±14.2%increase of N02.We also revealed that the emission-induced reduction of N02 has significantly negative correlations to human mobility,particularly that inside the city.The intra-city migration index derived from Baidu Location-Based-Service can explain 40.4%it 17.7%variance of the emission-induced reduction of N0_(2) in 29 megacities,each of which has a population of over 8 million in Chinese mainland.Yuxiang Zhang Haixu Bo Zhe Jiang Yu Wang Yunfei Fu Bingwei Cao Xuewen Wang Jiaqi Chen Rui Li 2021National Science Review2021,8,11:2

8Surface deformation under overlapping impacts of solid particles显示文摘To improve the accuracy of erosion prediction,the effect of subsequent particles impacting the same area while the first single particle rebounds from the substrate must be considered.This issue has rarely been considered in studies pertaining to erosion damage.In the present study,the ABAQUS software is used to investigate the erosion crater morphology and stress distribution on a target material subjected to overlapping impacts of spherical particles.Subsequently,the validated model is applied to investigate the effect of the overlapping impacts of particles on the target.Accordingly,the correlation between erosion severity and the impact locations of the two incident particles is quantified.The results show that the horizontal distance between two solid particle impact locations can significantly affect the erosion magnitude and pattern.The interactions of the resulting craters diminish when the horizontal distance exceeds 0.6 times the particle diameter.When the horizontal distance is approximately 0.06 times the particle diameter,the energy loss originating from collisions reaches the maximum,which modifies the crater morphology.The present study is expected to provide in-depth insights into erosion mechanisms and erosion modeling.Xuerui ZANG Xuewen CAO Zhenqiang XIE Jun ZHANG Farzin DARIHAKI Yang LIU 2023Friction2023,11,2:1

13Simulation and experimental study on the surface morphology and energy lost of the target material under non-overlapping impact of angular particles显示文摘In order to further understand the effect of solid impurities on pipeline wall during erosion,the particle impact process without fluid was extracted for specific study.The effect of multi-impact particles on the wall of pipeline was studied experimentally and simulated.In this experiment,an improved ejection apparatus was implemented to carry out multi-impacts non-overlapping impingement by rhombic particles made of high speed steel(W18Cr4V)on the AA6061 aluminum alloy plate through changing particle angle,incident angle,orientation angle and impact velocity.As a result,each particle's penetration depth was investigated and particles' rebound trajectory can be described through this experiment as well as surface morphology of the target material after impingement.The ductile damage criterion,shear damage criterion and MSFLD damage criterion were jointly implemented in ABAQUS/CAE software to simulate the whole process of collision which proved to be effective by getting consistent result compared with experimental data.It is found that under the condition of continuous non-overlapping impact,the target material produces a small work hardening effect in the impact area by converting kinetic energy of moving particles into internal energy of plate so as to reduce the penetration depth of each impact particle.Xuewen Cao Chenyang Fu Zhenqiang Xie Chao Wu Xiaoyang Sun 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,1:1

19Experimental and CFD investigation of flow behavior and sand erosion pattern in a horizontal pipe bend under annular flow显示文摘The internal erosion of pipelines in oil and gas storage and transportation engineering is highly risky.High gas velocity of annular flow entrained sand will cause damage to the pipelines,and may further result in thinning of the wall.If this damage lasts for a long time,it may cause pipeline leakage and cause huge economic losses and environmental problems.In this research,an experimental device for studying multiphase flow erosion is designed,including an erosion loop and an experimental elbow that can test the erosion rate.The annular flow state and pipe wall erosion morphology can also be tested by the device.The computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method is combined with the experiment to further study the annular flow erosion mechanism in the pipeline.The relationship between gas-liquid-solid distribution and erosion profile was studied.The results show that the most eroded region occurs be-tween 22.5° and 45° in the axial angle direction and between 90° and 135° in the circumferential angle direction of the elbow.The pits and deep scratches form on the surface of the sample after the sand collision.Wenshan Peng Li Ma Ping Wang Xuewen Cao Kun Xu Yichun Miao 2023Particuology2023,,4:1
20Vacuum wetting of Ag/TA2 to develop a novel micron porous Ti with significant biocompatibility and antibacterial activity显示文摘Porous Ti with low modulus,excellent bio-corrosion resistance,biocompatibility,and antibacterial activity is highly pursued as advanced implant materials.In this work,a new approach to prepare micron porous structures on the surface layer of a grade 2 commercially-pure Ti(TA2)was proposed,which utilized a simple vacuum wetting process of pure Ag on the surface of TA2.The microstructure,corrosion resistance,biocompatibility,mechanical properties,antibacterial ability,and formation mechanism of the asfabricated porous Ti were studied.The results show that the pores(with average pore sizes of 0.5-5μm)are distributed on the surface layer of the TA2 with a depth of~10μm.In particular,a large number of silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs)form which are dispersed on the porous structures.The formation mechanisms of the porous structures and Ag NPs were elucidated,suggesting that the volatilization/sublimation of Ag in TA2 is crucial.The porous Ti possesses excellent bio-corrosion resistance,surface wettability,biocompatibility,antibacterial activity,and a relatively low elastic modulus of 40-55 GPa,which may have a promising future in the field of orthopedic implants.This work also provides a novel idea for the development of advanced porous Ti materials for orthopedic-related basic research and biomedical applications.Guanpeng Liu Yulong Li Ming Yan Jicai Feng Jian Cao Min Lei Quanwen Liu Xiaowu Hu Wenqin Wang Xuewen Li 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,21:0
