1Constrained large-eddy simulation and detached eddy simulation of flow past a commercial aircraft at 14 degrees angle of attack显示文摘With the development of computational power and numerical algorithms,computational fluid dynamics(CFD) has become an important strategy for the design of aircraft,which significantly reduces the reliance on wind-tunnel and flight tests.In this paper,we conducted a numerical investigation on the flow past a full commercial aircraft at Mach number 0.2 and 14 degrees angle of attack by means of Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS),detached-eddy simulation(DES) and our newly developed constrained large-eddy simulation(CLES).The objective of this paper is to study the capability of these models in simulating turbulent flows.To our knowledge,this is the first large-eddy simulation method for full commercial aircraft simulation.The results show that the CLES can predict the mean statistical quantities well,qualitatively consistent with traditional methods,and can capture more small-scale structures near the surface of the aircraft with massive separations.Our study demonstrates that CLES is a promising alternative for simulating real engineering turbulent flows.CHEN ShiYi CHEN YingChun XIA ZhenHua QU Kun SHI YiPeng XIAO ZuoLi LIU QiuHong CAI QingDong LIU Feng LEE Cunbiao ZHANG RiKui CAI JinSheng 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,2:14

4Flame propagation characteristics and flame structures of zirconium particle cloud in a small-scale chamber显示文摘Flame propagating through zirconium particle cloud in a small-scale vertical rectangle chamber was investigated experimentally.In the experiments,the zirconium quoted 99% purity was used and the diameter of particles was distributed 1-22 μm.The zirconium dust was dispersed into the chamber by air flow and ignited by an electrode spark.A high-speed video camera was used to record the images of the propagating flame.Micro-thermocouples,schlieren optical system and microscopic lens were used to obtain temperature profiles and flame structure,respectively.Based on the experimental results,flame propagation characteristics and flame structure of zirconium particle cloud were analyzed.The propagation velocity of the flame is quite slow in the initial 14 ms and then accelerates to maximum value.Subsequently,the propagation velocity of the flame almost keeps constant.The combustion zone width of zirconium particle cloud is 5-6 mm.Smaller particles burn mainly at the leading edge of combustion zone in the width of 1.4 mm followed by larger particles burning 1.4-6 mm behind the leading edge of the combustion zone.Gas phase flame is not seen in zirconium particle cloud and the combustion time of single zirconium particle is 1-5 ms,which depends on its original size.The preheated zone is 7-8 mm thickness ahead of the combustion zone and intensive chemical reaction takes place at 490 K.The maximum flame temperature increases at lower concentrations,reaches the maximum value,and then decreases slightly at higher concentrations.DING YiBin SUN JinHua HE XueChao WANG QiuHong YIN Yi XU Yao Chen XianFeng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,34:8
5Wheat powdery mildew resistance gene Pm64 derived from wild emmer (Triticum turgidum var.dicoccoides) is tightly linked in repulsion with stripe rust resistance gene Yr5显示文摘Stripe rust and powdery mildew are both devastating diseases for durum and common wheat.Pyramiding of genes conferring resistance to one or more diseases in a single cultivar is an important breeding approach to provide broader spectra of resistances in wheat improvement. A new powdery mildew resistance gene originating from wild emmer(Triticum turgidum var.dicoccoides) backcrossed into common wheat(T. aestivum) line WE35 was identified. It conferred an intermediate level of resistance to Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici isolate E09 at the seedling stage and a high level of resistance at the adult plant stage. Genetic analysis showed that the powdery mildew resistance in WE35 was controlled by a dominant gene designated Pm64. Bulked segregant analysis(BSA) and molecular mapping indicated that Pm64 was located in chromosome bin 2 BL4-0.50–0.89. Polymorphic markers were developed from the corresponding genomic regions of Chinese Spring wheat and wild emmer accession Zavitan to delimit Pm64 to a 0.55 cM genetic interval between markers WGGBH1364 and WGGBH612, corresponding to a 15 Mb genomic region on Chinese Spring and Zavitan 2 BL, respectively. The genetic linkage map of Pm64 is critical for fine mapping and cloning. Pm64 was completely linked in repulsion with stripe rust resistance gene Yr5. 6Assessment of genetic diversity in the forest musk deer (Moschus berezovskii) using microsatellite and AFLP markers显示文摘Microsatellite genotyping and amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) techniques are often utilized in studies of conservation genetics of endangered animals. To select a more effective marker system for conserving the endangered forest musk deer, we used microsatellite and AFLP markers to estimate levels of genetic diversity of two populations, the pure mother Jinfengshan (JFS) group and the offspring Baisha (BS) group with introduction of new blood. It was expected that JFS would pos- sess significantly higher genetic variability than BS if it is assumed that no new deer were introduced into BS. The results revealed that the 15 microsatellite markers produced 141 alleles and the 22 AFLP primer combinations yielded 908 polymorphic bands, showing that AFLPs had higher resolving power than microsatellites. Nonetheless, compared with other deer, both marker systems indicated that the forest musk deer contains a relatively high level of genetic variation. The 15 microsatellite loci indicated a similar level of genetic diversity was present in the JFS and BS populations, seemingly suggesting that the new blood obviously elevated the level of genetic diversity in BS. However, 22 suites of AFLP markers yielded a significantly higher level of genetic variation in JFS than that in BS, in contrast to the diversity pattern of microsatellites. In view of the difference in resolving power of these two marker systems, we conclude that gene introgression was limited in the BS population, as revealed by the AFLP markers. 7Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 8Isolation and characterization of class Ⅰ MHC genes in the giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)显示文摘Artificial breeding is an important project to protect,recover and reintroduce endangered species.Knowledge of the population's genetic diversity at functional loci is important for the establishment of effective captive breeding programs.The major histocompatibility complex(MHC) genes are ideal candidate genetic markers to inform planned breeding,due to their high levels of polymorphism and importance in the main immune coding region of the vertebrate genome.In this study,we constructed BAC-based contigs and isolated six functional MHC class Ⅰ genes from the giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca),which we designated Aime-C,Aime-F,Aime-I,Aime-K,Aime-L and Aime-1906.Analyses of the tissue expression patterns and full-length cDNA sequences of these class I genes revealed that Aime-C,-F,-I and-L could be considered classical class Ⅰ loci,due to their extensive expression patterns and normal exonic structures.In contrast,Aime-K and-1906 appeared to be nonclassical genes based on their tissue-specific expression patterns and the presence of an abnormal exon 7 in both genes.We established techniques for genotyping exons 2 and 3 of the classical loci using locus-specific single strand conformation polymorphism(SSCP) and sequence analysis.In the Chengdu captive population,we identified one monomorphic locus(Aime-F) and three polymorphic loci with different numbers of alleles(4/4/4 exon 2 alleles at Aime-C/I/L and 6/5/5 exon 3 alleles at Aime-C/I/L).The distributions of the Aime-C,-I and-L alleles among members of different families were in good agreement with the known pedigree relationships,suggesting that the genotyping results are reliable.Therefore,the MHC-I genotyping techniques established in this study may provide a powerful tool for the future design of scientific breeding or release/reintroduction programs.ZHU Ying SUN DanDan GE YunFa YU Bin CHEN YiYan WAN QiuHong 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,17:5
9Mapping stripe rust resistance genes by BSR-Seq:YrMM58 and YrHY1 on chromosome 2AS in Chinese wheat lines Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 are Yr17显示文摘Stripe rust(yellow rust), caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici(PST),is one of the most devastating fungal diseases in common wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) in China and worldwide. Resistance breeding is the most effective strategy to control diseases in crop plants. Chinese wheat lines Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 are highly resistant to PST race CYR34(V26) at the adult plant stage. To genetically map the underlying resistance genes we developed segregating populations by crossing Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 with the susceptible cultivar Nongda 399. The stripe rust resistances in Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 were both controlled by single dominant genes, provisionally designated YrMM58 and YrHY1, respectively. Bulked segregant RNA-Seq(BSR-Seq) analysis showed that YrMM58 and YrHY1 were located in the same distal ~16 Mb region on chromosome 2 AS.Comparative genomics analysis with the physical map of Aegilops tauschii proved useful for developing additional markers to saturate the genetic linkage map. YrMM58 and YrHY1 were mapped to the distal end of chromosome arm 2 AS, with the closest marker WGGB148 being 7.7 cM and 3.8 cM from the resistance gene, which was considered to be Yr17. 10Mapping a leaf senescence gene els1 by BSR-Seq in common wheat显示文摘Leaf senescence is normally the last stage of plant development. Early senescence of functional leaves significantly reduces the photosynthetic time and efficiency, seriously affecting grain yield and quality in wheat. Discovering genes responsible for early leaf senescence(els) are necessary for developing novel germplasms and cultivars with delayed leaf-senescence through molecular manipulation and marker assisted selection. In this study, we identified an early leaf senescence line M114 in a derivative of a wheat breeding population. Genetic analysis indicated that early leaf senescence in M114 is controlled by a single recessive gene, provisionally designated els1. By applying bulked segregant analysis and RNA-Seq(BSR-Seq), seven polymorphic markers linked to els1 were developed and the gene was located on chromosome arm 2 BS in a 1.5 c M genetic interval between markers WGGB303 and WGGB305. 11A family net of giant pandas in the Tangjiahe Natural Reserve:Assessment of current individual migration显示文摘In the present study, formalin-fixed feces, oli-gonucleotide fingerprinting and SRY-gene based sexing were used to construct a family net for giant pandas in the Tang-jiahe Natural Reserve and to assess contemporary gene flow (migration) in this population. A total of 124 fecal samples were attributed to 37 individuals (22 females and 15 males) that were then analyzed for family relationships. Based on DNA fingerprints, the deduced family net revealed the fol-lowing facts: (i) First-order relatives possessed similarities from 50% to 90%, and similarities between unrelated indi-viduals or distant relatives were as high as 77%, indicating that the Tangjiahe pandas are characterized by high genetic similarity; (ii) 15 matings were identified and 5 ones oc-curred between close relatives, implying that there is poten-tial for inbreeding to impact the pandas; (iii) four mating pairs and 5 offspring presented long distance migrations, demonstrating the intra-reserve habitat is continuous; (iv) four pairs of full sibs (also female-male dyads) dispersed short distance and all of them gave birth to highly inbred offspring, reflecting long distance migration is vital for in-breeding avoidance; (v) 17 adult individuals dispersed short or moderate distance and formed three clusters on the land-scape, indicating that it is necessary to find out whether there is a negative factor impacting the pandas.WAN Qiuhong FANG Shengguo LI Jianguo ZHANG Liming OU Weifu XIAN Fanghai CHEN Wanli 2005Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,17:3

14Cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals for ultraviolet and blue light blocking显示文摘Using cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals, CsPb(Cl/Br)3, as a light absorber, we report a highly effective UV and blue light blocking film. The CsPb(Cl/Br)3 nanocrystals are well dispersed in the ethyl cellulose(EC) matrix to compose a UV and blue light shielding film, and the absorption edge of the film is tunable by adjusting Cl to Br ratio using anion exchange. The CsPbCl2 Br-EC film exhibits a transmittance of 5% at 459 nm, 90% at 478 nm and 95% in the range of 500–800 nm, which makes it excellent for UV and blue light shielding. In addition, the as-prepared EC-CsPb(Cl/Br)3 film shows excellent photostability under UV irradiation. 17Ultra-high sensitivity of rhodamine B sensing based on NaGdF_4:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)@NaGdF_4 core-shell upconversion nanoparticles显示文摘A series of mono-dispersed hexagon NaGdF_4:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)@NaGdF_4 core-shell nanoparticles with different shell thickness were synthesized via a co-precipitation method. Nanoparticles with high upconversion fluorescent emissions result in large signal-to-noise ratio, which guarantees the accuracy of the sensitivity. Besides, the maximum sensitivity of these NPs as detection film increases first and then decreases with the shell thickness increasing. When the shell thickness is 2.3 nm(NaGdF_4-2), the maximum sensitivity(0.69959 ppm^(-1)) is reached. A large degree of overlap between the rhodamine B absorption band and the Er^(3+) green emission bands ensures that the NaGdF_4:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)@NaGdF_4 nanoparticles can be used as fluorescent probe to detect the concentration of rhodamine B based on fluorescent intensity ratio technology. The linear relationship between the rhodamine B concentration and the intensity ratio(R) of green and red emission intensity(I_(S+H) and I_F) were studied systematically. The result shows that the maximum sensitivity can be obtained in low concentration rhodamine B(<4 ppm), which is lower than the reported minimum detection concentration. 20Study of the effect of chemical composition on the surface wettability of three-dimensional graphene foams显示文摘The chemical composition obviously affects the surface wettability of a three-dimensional(3D)graphene material apart from its surface energy and microstructure.In the hydrothermal preparation,the heteroatom doping changes the chemical composition and wettability of the 3D graphene material.To realize the controllable surface wettability of graphene materials,aminobenzene sulfonic acid(ABSA)was selected as a typical doping agent for the preparation of nitrogen and sulfur co-doped 3D graphene foam(SNGF)using a hydrothermal method.Different from using o-ABSA or p-ABSA as the dopant,SNGF with tunable surface wettability is obtained only when m-ABSA is used.This result indicates that the substituent position of-SO3H group in the benzene ring of ABSA is rather important for the tunable wettability.This work provides some theo retical foundations for dopant selection and some new insights in manipulating the properties of 3D graphene foams by adjusting the configuration of dopants.Guihua Huang Xinhong Song Yiying Chen Fangyuan Lin Yipeng Huang Feiming Li Zhiyong Guo Qiuhong Yao Xi Chen 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:1
