13D-Integrated metasurfaces for full-colour holography显示文摘Metasurfaces enable the design of optical elements by engineering the wavefront of light at the subwavelength scale.Due to their ultrathin and compact characteristics,metasurfaces possess great potential to integrate multiple functions in optoelectronic systems for optical device miniaturisation.However,current research based on multiplexing in the 2D plane has not fully utilised the capabilities of metasurfaces for multi-tasking applications.Here,we demonstrate a 3D-integrated metasurface device by stacking a hologram metasurface on a monolithic Fabry–Pérot cavity-based colour filter microarray to simultaneously achieve low-crosstalk,polarisation-independent,high-efficiency,full-colour holography,and microprint.The dual functions of the device outline a novel scheme for data recording,security encryption,colour displays,and information processing.Our 3D integration concept can be extended to achieve multi-tasking flat optical systems by including a variety of functional metasurface layers,such as polarizers,metalenses,and others.Yueqiang Hu Xuhao Luo Yiqin Chen Qing Liu Xin Li Yasi Wang Na Liu Huigao Duan 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:6
2Highway constructions on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau:Challenge,research and practice显示文摘Highway constructions on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)face great challenges induced by the unique local environmental,geological,and engineering conditions.The large area of permafrost,great temperature variability,strong UV rays,and complex geological conditions are the major factors that adversely influence the longterm performance of pavement systems.Since 1960s,Chinese engineers and researchers have started conducting research on the QTP to enhance the performance and durability of pavement systems.The present paper provide a comprehensive review of challenge,research and practice of highway constructions on the QTP including the special environmental and geological conditions,history of highway constructions on the QTP,major challenges and the state-of-the-art technology of subgrade constructions on permafrost,developments of the pavement structures and materials,performance prediction and maintenance methods of pavement surfaces,and applications of the research achievements on the first expressway on the QTP(i.e.,Gongyu Expressway).Based on the comprehensive literature review,it can be found that(1)frost heave and thaw weakening induced subgrade disease and longitudinal cracks on the pavement surface are complex coupled water-thermal-load problems.Engineering solutions are focusing on active cooling and thermal insulation methods,which can help to reduce temperature variations in the subgrade and thus improving its stability,(2)the harsh environmental and construction conditions may reduce the early strength and induce premature damage of cement-treated base materials.Some field validations showed that geocell-reinforced or asphalt-treated flexible base materials can provide better long-term performance,(3)the large temperature variability and strong UV rays can significantly accelerate aging of asphalt binders and greatly reduce the service life of asphalt mixtures.Various binder modification methods were developed for improving their viscoelasticity and enhance the low-temperature cracking resistance of pavement surface materials but are still lack of field validation data and comparisons of their life cycle costs.Therefore,it is recommended that a demonstration research project build test sections to examine a range of pavement structures and materials,and compare their long-term performance and life cycle costs,which can serve as important reference for future highway constructions on the QTP.Aimin Sha Biao Ma Hainian Wang Liqun Hu Xuesong Mao Xilan Zhi Huaxin Chen Yu Liu Feng Ma Zhuangzhuang Liu Rui He Wei Si Xuhao Wang Cheng Li 2022Journal of Road Engineering2022,2,1:4

5Mori fructus aqueous extracts attenuates liver injury by inhibiting ferroptosis via the Nrf2 pathway显示文摘Background Liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinogenesis secondary to liver fibrosis are serious liver diseases with no effective treatments.Mori fructus aqueous extracts(MFAEs)have served as successful treatments for many types of liver injury including fibrosis although the molecular mechanisms are unknown at present.Purpose To investigate the effect of MFAEs in alleviating acute and chronic liver injury and tried to decipher the underlying mechanism.Methods and results Mice were divided into 5 groups(n ps:contro=8)for acute(groups:control,0.3%CCl_(4),bifendate(BD),100 and 200 mg/kg MFAEs,7 d)and chronic(groul,10%CCl_(4),BD,100 and 200 mg/kg MFAEs,4 weeks)liver injury study.Each mouse was injected intraperitoneally with 10μL/g corn oil containing CCl_(4)expect the control group.HepG2 cells were used in vitro study.Eighteen communal components were identified by UPLC-LTQOrbitrap-MS.We utilized a mouse model for acute and chronic liver injury using CCl_(4)and MFAEs administration effectively blocked fibrosis and significantly inhibited inflammation in the liver.MFAEs activated the nuclear factor erythroid derived 2 like 2/heme oxygenase 1(Nrf2/HO-1)pathway and promoted the synthesis of the antioxidants glutathione(GSH),superoxidedismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)that resulted in reduced levels of CCl_(4)-induced oxidative stress molecules including reactive oxygen species.These extracts administered to mice also inhibited ferroptosis in the liver by regulating the expression of Acyl-CoA synthetase long chain family member 4(ACSL4),solute carrier family 7 member 11(SLC7A11)and glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4),thus reducing the occurrence of liver fibrosis.Both in vivo and in vitro tests indicated that the mechanism of MFAEs protection against liver fibrosis was linked to activation of Nrf2 signaling.These effects were blocked in vitro by the addition of a specific Nrf2 inhibitor.Conclusion MFAEs inhibited oxidative stress,ferroptosis and inflammation of the liver by activating Nrf2 signal pathway and provided a significant protective effect against CCl_(4)-induced liver fibrosis.Yuanyuan Wei Chen Gao Huiru Wang Yannan Zhang Jinhua Gu Xiuying Zhang Xuhao Gong Zhihui Hao 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,4:1
6Chemical composition of oscillatory zoned garnets from the largescale Mengya'a Pb–Zn skarn deposit: implications for fluid physicochemical conditions and formation显示文摘The Mengya’a Lead–zinc deposit is a large skarn deposit in the north of the eastern segment of Gangdese metallogenic belt.The garnet is the main altered mineral in the Mengya’a area.The color of the garnet varies from chartreuse to dark yellow brown and to russet.The brown garnet(Grt1)is related to pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite,and the green garnet(Grt2)is associated with lead–zinc mineralization.LA-ICP-MS is the induced coupled plasma mass spectrometry.This paper has used this technique to investigate Grt1 and Grt2.Grt1 develops core–rim textures with strong oscillation zone occurring in rim,whereas Grt2lacks core–rim textures and featured by oscillation zone.LA–ICP–MS analysis shows that garnets of Mengya’a are rich in CaO(29.90–37.52%)and FeO(21.17–33.35%),but low in Al_(2)O_(3)(0.05–4.85%).The calculated end members belong to grandite(grossular–andradite)garnets andradite.The negative Al(IV)versus Fe^(3+),positive Al(IV)versus total Al stoichiometric number,the positive Al(IV)versus Fe^(3+),and the negative Al(IV)versus total REE,all indicate that the substitution of REEs in garnets is controlled by YAG.All Garnets are depleted in large lithophile elements(e.g.,Rb=0.00–4.01 ppm,Sr=0.03–8.56 ppm).The total REE in Grt1 core is high(ΣREE=233–625 ppm),with HREE enriched pattern(LREE/HREE=0.33–1.69)and weak negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.21–0.47).In contrast,the total REEs in the Grt1 rim and Grt2 are low(ΣREE=12.4–354 ppm;ΣREE=21.0–65.3 ppm),with LREE enriched pattern(LREE/HREE=0.54–34.4;LREE/HREE=11.4–682)and positive Eu anomalies(δEu=0.35–27.2;δEu=1.02–30.7).After data compilation of garnet chemicals,we found that the early fluid responsible for the core of Grt1 was a relatively closed and chloride-depleted fluid system.It was close-to-neutral,with a low water–rock ratio.The core of garnet was formed by fluid diffusion in metasomatic processes.The fluid was changed into a relatively open system with reduced,chloride-rich,and weakacid fluid.It was fluid infiltration and metasomatism that resulted in the formation of Grt1 rim and Grt2.Yan Zhang Cuihua Chen Yulong Yang Xuhao Kang Ying Gu Xiang Lai Xiaojie Chen 2022Acta Geochimica2022,41,3:0

9Acousto-optic scanning spatial-switching multiphoton lithography显示文摘Nano-3D printing has obtained widespread attention owing to its capacity to manufacture end-use components with nano-scale features in recent years.Multiphoton lithography(MPL)is one of the most promising 3D nanomanufacturing technologies,which has been widely used in manufacturing micro-optics,photonic crystals,microfluidics,meta-surface,and mechanical metamaterials.Despite of tremendous potential of MPL in laboratorial and industrial applications,simultaneous achievement of high throughput,high accuracy,high design freedom,and a broad range of material structuring capabilities remains a long-pending challenge.To address the issue,we propose an acousto-optic scanning with spatial-switching multispots(AOSS)method.Inertia-free acousto-optic scanning and nonlinear swept techniques have been developed for achieving ultrahigh-speed and aberration-free scanning.Moreover,a spatial optical switch concept has been implemented to significantly boost the lithography throughput while maintaining high resolution and high design freedom.An eight-foci AOSS system has demonstrated a record-high 3D printing rate of 7.6×10^(7)voxel s^(-1),which is nearly one order of magnitude higher than earlier scanning MPL,exhibiting its promise for future scalable 3D nanomanufacturing.Binzhang Jiao Fayu Chen Yuncheng Liu Xuhao Fan Shaoqun Zeng Qi Dong Leimin Deng Hui Gao Wei Xiong 2023International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2023,5,3:0
10Rational design of stretchable and conductive hydrogel binder for highly reversible SiP2 anode显示文摘The emerging SiP2with large capacity and suitable plateau is proposed to be the alternative anode for Li-ion batteries.However,typical SiP2still suffers from serious volume expansion and structural destruction,resulting in much Li-consumption and capacity fading.Herein,a novel stretchable and conductive Li-PAA@PEDOT:PSS binder is rationally designed to improve the cyclability and reversibility of SiP2.Interestingly,such Li-PAA@PEDOT:PSS hydrogel enables a better accommodation of volume expansion than PVDF binder(e.g.5.94% vs.68.73% of expansivity).More specially,the SiP2electrode with LiPAA@PEDOT:PSS binder is surprisingly found to enable unexpected structural recombination and selfhealing Li-storage processes,endowing itself with a high initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE) up to 93.8%,much higher than PVDF binder(ICE=70.7%) as well.Such unusual phenomena are investigated in detail for Li-PAA@PEDOT:PSS,and the possible mechanism shows that its Li-PAA component enables to prevent the pulverization of SiP2nanoparticles while the PEDOT:PSS greatly bridges fast electronic connection for the whole electrode.Consequently,after being further composited with carbon matrix,the SiP2/C with LiPAA@PEDOT:PSS hydrogel exhibits high reversibility(ICE> 93%),superior cyclability(>450 cycles),and rate capability(1520 mAh/g at 2000 mA/g) for LIBs.This highly stretchable and conductive binder design can be easily extended to other alloying materials toward advanced energy storage.Xuhao Liu Runzhe Yao Siqi Wang Yaqing Wei Bin Chen Wei Liang Caiyun Tian Chengyu Nie De Li Yong Chen 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,8:0
11Cost-benefit and discriminant validity of a stepwise dementia case-finding approach in an Asian older adult community显示文摘Background Case-finding is a recommended approach for dementia early detection in the community.Aims To investigate the discriminant validity and cost-effectiveness of a stepwise dementia case-finding approach in a Singaporean older adult community.Methods The two-phase study was conducted in the community from 2009 to 2015 in Singapore.A total of 3780 participants(age≥60 years)completed phase I(a brief cognitive screening);918 completed phase II and were included in the final analysis.In phase I,all participants were administered the Abbreviated Mental Test(AMT)and the Progressive Forgetfulness Question(PFQ).Those who screened positive on either test were invited to phase II,whereby the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE),Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)and a formal neuropsychological battery were administered,followed by the research diagnosis of no cognitive impairment,cognitive impairment no dementia(CIND)-Mild(≤2 impaired cognitive domains),CIND-Moderate(>2 impaired domains)or dementia.Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses were conducted for the different cognitive instruments.All discriminant indices were calculated,including sensitivity,specificity,positive and negative predictive values(NPV)and accuracy.Cost-effectiveness analysis was conducted by estimating the amount of screening time needed and the number of older adults requiring re-evaluation in two case-finding scenarios,ie,with or without preselection by the PFQ.Results The stepwise case-finding approach(preselection by the PFQ,then MMSE or MoCA or AMT)showed an excellent NPV(>99%)and accuracy(>86%)for excluding dementia-free cases.Without preselection by the PFQ,screening time for the three cognitive tools were 317.5,317.5 and 254 hours,with 159,302 and 175 screen-positive older adults involved in further evaluation.By adopting the stepwise case-finding approach,total screening time were 156.5,156.5 and 126.2 hours,which decreased by 50.7%,50.7% and 50.3% as compared with those without preselection.Furthermore,after preselection,only 98,167 and 145 screen-positive older adults required further evaluation,corresponding to a reduction of 38.4%,44.7% and 17.1% in the numbers compared with those without preselection.Conclusions A stepwise approach for dementia case-finding should be implemented in the community to minimise the time and resources needed for large-scale early detection of dementia.Ting Pang Binte Xia Xuhao Zhao Yaping Zhang Cheuk Ni Kan Saima Hilal Christopher Chen Narayanaswamy Venketasubramanian Tien Yin Wong Ching-YuCheng Changzheng Yuan Xin Xu 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,5:0
12New Insights on Convergence Properties of Peridynamic Models for Transient Diffusion and Elastodynamics显示文摘Recent analytical solutions for peridynamic(PD)models of transient diffusion and elastodynamics allow us to revisit convergence of 1D PD models to their classical counterparts.We find and explain the reasons for some interesting differences between the convergence behavior for transient diffusion and elastodynamics models.Except for very early times,PD models for transient diffusion converge monotonically to the classical one.In contrast,for elastodynamic problems this convergence is more complex,with some periodic/almost-periodic characteristics present.These special features are investigated for sine waves used as initial conditions.The analysis indicates that the convergence behavior of PD solutions to the classical one can be understood in terms of convergence properties for models using the Fourier series expansion terms of a particular initial condition.The results obtained show new connections between PD models and their corresponding classical versions.Zhikun Zhou Xuhao Peng Pan Wu Ziguang Chen Florin Bobaru 2022Communications in Computational Physics2022,32,10:0
