| 1 | The recommendations of Chinese Parkinson’s disease and movement disorder society consensus on therapeutic management of Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a chronic,progressive and debilitating disease,which affects over 2.5 million people in China.PD is characterized clinically by resting tremor,muscular rigidity,bradykinesia and postural instability.As the disease progresses,additional complications can arise such as non-motor and neurobehavioral symptoms.Pharmacological treatment and surgical intervention for PD have been implemented in China.Until 10 years ago,there was lack of standardization for the management of PD in different regions and among different physicians,leading to different treatment levels in different regions and different physicians.Since then,the Chinese Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society have published three versions of guidelines for the management of PD in China,in 2006,2009 and 2014,respectively.Correspondingly,the overall level of treatment for PD in China improved.Objectives:To update the treatment guidelines based on current foreign and domestic practice guidelines and clinical evidence,and to improve the treatment options available to physicians in the management of PD.Summary:A variety of treatment recommendations in the treatment guidelines have been proposed,including physical activity and disease-modifying medication,which should be initiated at the early-stage of the disease.The principles of dosage titration should be followed to avoid acute adverse reactions to the drugs,to achieve a satisfactory clinical effect with a low dose and to reduce the incidence of long-term motor complications.Moreover,different treatment strategies should be considered at different stages of the disease.Importantly,treatment guidelines and personalized treatments should be valued equally.A set of treatment recommendations has been developed to assist physicians to improve and optimize clinical outcomes for patients with PD in China. | Shengdi Chen Piu Chan Shenggang Sun Haibo Chen Baorong Zhang Weidong Le Chunfeng Liu Guoguang Peng Beisha Tang Lijuan Wang Yan Cheng Ming Shao Zhenguo Liu Zhenfu Wang Xiaochun Chen Mingwei Wang Xinhua Wan Huifang Shang Yiming Liu Pingyi Xu Jian Wang Tao Feng Xianwen Chen Xingyue Hu Anmu Xie Qin Xiao | 2016 | Translational Neurodegeneration2016,5,1: | 23 |

| 4 | Success rate and complications of endoscopic extraction of common bile duct stones over 2 cm in diameter显示文摘BACKGROUND:Clinically,common bile duct (CBD) stones >2 cm are difficult to remove by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).To evaluate this observation,the rates of successful clearance of CBD stones and complications were compared between ERCP extraction of CBD stones of >2 cm and <2 cm in diameter.METHODS:All patients who had undergone endoscopic extraction of CBD stones at the Endoscopy Center of Shanghai First People's Hospital from May 2004 to May 2008 were reviewed.Patients with CBD stones of >2 cm in diameter were enrolled in the >2 cm group.Two matched controls with CBD stones of <2 cm in diameter were selected for each enrolled patient (<2 cm group).Patient characteristics,success rates,and complications during and after ERCP were compared.RESULTS:Seventy-two patients constituted the >2 cm group and 144 patients were in the <2 cm group.No significant differences were found in the patient characteristics,except for stone size and CBD diameter.Both the overall success rate and the success rate in the first ERCP session were lower in the >2 cm group (77.8% and 58.3%,respectively) than in the <2 cm group (91.7% and 83.3%,P<0.01).During ERCP,the incidence of hypoxemia (30.6%) and hemorrhaging papillae (18.1%) in the >2 cm group was higher than in the <2 cm group (13.2% and 6.3%,P<0.05).After ERCP,the rates of delayed papillae hemorrhage (13.9%),hyperamylasemia (23.6%),acute pancreatitis (8.3%) and biliary infection (18.1%) were higher in the >2 cm group than in the <2 cm group (3.5%,11.1%,2.1%,and 2.8%,respectively,P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The success rate of endoscopic extraction of CBD stones of >2 cm in diameter was lower but the complication rate was higher than that of stones of <2 cm in diameter. | Xin-Jian Wan,Zheng-Jie Xu,Feng Zhu and Lei Li Department of Gastroenterology,Shanghai First People’s Hospital,Shanghai Jiaotong University,Shanghai 200080,China Department of Gastroenterology,Xinhua Hospital,Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical School,Shanghai 200092,China | 2011 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2011,10,4: | 9 |

| 6 | Different responses of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal community to day-time and night-time warming in a semiarid steppe显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM) fungi form mutualistic symbioses with most plant species and play important roles in ecosystems.Knowledge of the response of AM fungi to temperature change will improve our understanding of the function of AM fungal community under global climate change scenarios in ecosystems.The effects of constant warming on AM fungal communities have been investigated previously,but responses to asymmetrical warming over 24-h periods have never been documented in natural ecosystems.In this study,we examined AM fungal communities in a full factorial design including day-time and night-time warming in a semiarid steppe in northern China.Day-time and 24-h warming,but not night-time warming,significantly increased AM fungal spore density.In contrast,none of the three warming regimes had a significant effect on AM fungal extra radical hyphal density.Atotal of 161 operational taxonomic units(OTUs) of AM fungi were recovered by 454 pyrosequencing of 18 S r DNA.Day-time,night-time,and 24-h warming all significantly increased AM fungal OTU richness.Some AM fungal OTUs showed a significant bias toward day-time,night-time or24-h warming.The AM fungal community composition was significantly affected by night-time warming,but not by day-time and 24-h warming.Our finding highlighted different responses of AM fungal spore density and community composition to asymmetrical warming.This study might improve our understanding of ecosystem functioning of AM fungal community under global climate change scenarios in a semiarid steppe ecosystem. | Yongchan Kim Cheng Gao Yong Zheng Wei Yang Liang Chen Xinhua He Shiqiang Wan Liang-Dong Guo | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,35: | 4 |
| 7 | Layer-by-Layer Assembled Bacterial Cellulose/Graphene Oxide Hydrogels with Extremely Enhanced Mechanical Properties显示文摘Uniform dispersion of two-dimensional(2 D) graphene materials in polymer matrices remains challenging. In this work, a novel layer-by-layer assembly strategy was developed to prepare a sophisticated nanostructure with highly dispersed 2 D graphene oxide in a three-dimensional matrix consisting of onedimensional bacterial cellulose(BC) nanofibers. This method is a breakthrough, with respect to the conventional static culture method for BC that involves multiple in situ layer-by-layer assembly steps at the interface between previously grown BC and the culture medium. In the as-prepared BC/GO nanocomposites, the GO nanosheets are mechanically bundled and chemically bonded with BC nanofibers via hydrogen bonding,forming an intriguing nanostructure. The sophisticated nanostructure of the BC/GO leads to greatly enhanced mechanical properties compared to those of bare BC. | 8 | Synthesis and ordered aggregation in water of a blue light-emitting PEO-PHP-PEO triblock oligomer显示文摘A novel blue light-emitting coil-rod-coil triblock oligomer, PEO-PHP-PEO, which consists of para-hexaphenyl (PHP) as the rigid rod and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO, M w = 750) as the flexible coil, has been synthesized. It is the first soluble poly(para-phenylene) molecule containing no lateral substituent, which can dissolve not only in organic solvents such as chloroform and THF, but also in water. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) of PEO-PHP-PEO in water is 5.25×10-4 mol·L-1 and the surface tension at CMC, 鉉MC, is 61.29 mN·m-1. The absorption peak of the molecularly dissolved PEO-PHP-PEO in water is centered at 323 nm and the fluorescence spectrum has a maximum at 432 nm and shows the vibronic fine structure typical of molecular dissolution. The photoluminescence spectrum of the aggregate solution is similar to that of the PHP polycrystal film, indicating that the ordered packing of PHP block has taken place due to a combination of hydrophobic interaction and p-p stacking. The chemical structure and the number of repeating unit in PEO coil and PPP rod were characterized by 1H-NMR and MALDITOF mass spectrometry. The diblock oligomers showed good solubility in common organic solvents and aggregated in water as characterized by a blue shift in UV-vis absorption spectra, a red shift in emission spectra, quenching of the fluorescence and formation of the microfibrilla and fractal-like structures. | 17 | The treatment of focal dystonia and muscle spasm with Botox and CBTX-A显示文摘Objective To confirm and compare the therapeutic efficacies of CBTX-A (made by Lanzhou Biological Products Institute, China) and Botox (from Allergan Inc, US) for focal dystonia and other neurological disorders characterized by involuntary or abnormal muscle contractions. Methods We treated 785 patients with medically intractable focal dystonia and muscle spasm in two groups, 192 cases with Botox and 593 cases with CBTX-A. A total of 1393 treatments were given over a 4-year period. The results of a prospective open study were analyzed. Results Considerable improvement of symptoms was observed in all patients but 11 (1.4%)with either Botox or CBTX-A, 30.4% were rated as excellent, 57.8% as marked improvement, 8.9% as moderate improvement. The side effects were usually minor and transient. The most concerned complications after injections were ptosis and dysphagia. There was no significant difference in the clinical effects between this two kinds off preparation, including the latency of response, maximal benefit, duration of improvement. Patients' subjective assessments were similar too. But the requested dose of Chinese preparation which produced the similar effects was statistically higher than that of Botox; and skin rash appeared within a few days after injections in 5 cases of CBTX-A group, while none of Botox group, no statistical differences in the other adverse reaction between them. Treatment was needed to repeat in most patients to maintain the effects. The pretreatment scores of the reinjection were slightly lower. Moreover, a progressive reduction in posttreatment scores was observed in HFS and CD, with the latency of response, duration ofimprovement and doses unchanged or doses lower than the initial one. Conclusion The injections of both two kinds of preparation were simple and effective out-patient treatment for the patients with focal dystonia and muscle spasm. Chinese preparation is a little less powerful but much cheaper than Botox. | 20 | Visualized thermoresponsive helix-helix switch of polyphenylacetylene with a wide-range tunable transition temperature显示文摘Polymers with tunable helicity and naked-eye structural change under external stimuli are valuable for fabricating smart materials. Herein, we report a novel thermoresponsive color and fluorescent polyphenylacetylene switch with a tunable critical temperature. It relies on the temperature and solvent sensitivity of intramolecular n→π* interactions between the vicinal carbonyl groups of ester substituents located at 3,5-positions, which are indispensable for forming the cis-cisoid helical conformation of polyene backbones. In a properly chosen solvent, a compressed cis-cisoid helix is stabilized by n→π* interactions at low temperatures and yields a colorless solution. Increasing temperature causes the conformational transition toward an extended cis-transoid helix due to the disruption of n→π* interactions and produces a yellow solution. Reducing the hydrogen bond donating ability or polarity of solvents increases the switching temperature. By introducing a fluorogenic pendant, this conformational transition can also be read out by fluorescence quenching.
