| 1 | Effect of modified Taohongsiwu decoction on patients with chemotherapy-induced hand-foot syndrome显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of the Traditional Chinese Medicine,modified Taohongsiwu decoction,versus pyridoxine on patients with hand-foot syndrome(HFS)from capecitabine,sorafenib,and gefitinib chemotherapy for gastric,lung,breast,colon,or rectal cancer.Also,to compare quality of life of patients in each group.METHODS:Patients were assigned randomly to group A or B.Group A was given modifiedTaohongsiwu decoction to soak hands and feet for 30 min,once daily.Group B was given 100 mg pyridoxine orally,twice daily.After a 2-week treatment,thetherapeutic effect was assessed by observing three major symptoms,including pain,ulceration,and muscular atrophy.This was assessed with the HFS-14 questionnaire.RESULTS:Significant differences were observed between the two groups in pain relief,and improvement of daily life,walking,and interpersonal communication(P<0.01).No significant differences in driving ability or interpersonal relationships were found.After 2 weeks,the effective rate was 88.3%in group A,which was significantly higher than the50%in group B(P=0.00).CONCLUSION:Modified Taohongsiwu decoction is effective in the treatment of patients with HFS.It improves patients'quality of life according to the HFS-14. | Changlin Zhao Jia Chen Bin Yu Xianlin Wu Congqi Dai Chang Zhou Xiaoyin Chen | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,1: | 18 |
| 2 | Amplification and expression of c-MET correlate with poor prognosis of patients with gastric cancer and upregulate the expression of PDL1显示文摘The prognostic significance of c-MET in gastric cancer(GC)remains uncertain.In the present study,we examined the amplification,expression,and the prognostic value of c-MET,human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2),and programmed cell death 1 ligand 1(PDL1),together with the correlations among them in a large cohort of Chinese samples.A total of 444 patients were included.The immunohistochemistry(IHC)and the dual-color silver in situ hybridization(SISH)were performed to examine their expression and amplification.Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed by the Cox proportional hazard regression model,and survival curves were estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method.The positivity determined by IHC of c-MET was 24.8%,and the MET amplification rate was 2.3%.The positivity rates of HER2 and PDL1 were 8%and 34.7%,respectively.PDL1 expression had a significantly positive association with c-MET expression.c-MET positivity played a significant prognostic role in disease-free survival(DFS)(P=0.032).Patients with mesenchymal-epithelial transition(MET)amplification had significantly poorer prognosis on both DFS and overall survival(OS).Subgroup analysis showed that in HER2-negative patients,but not in HER2-positive patients,MET-positive patients had significantly worse DFS(P=0.000)and OS(P=0.006).c-MET regulated the expression of PDL1 through an AKT-dependent pathway.c-MET inhibitor enhanced the T-cell killing ability and increased the efficacy of PD1 antibody.c-MET was found to be an independent prognostic factor for DFS of GC patients.A combination of c-MET inhibitors and PD1 antibodies could enhance the killing capacity of T cells,providing a preliminary basis for the clinical research on the same combination in GC treatment. | Ya’nan Yang Chenchen Wang Congqi Dai Xinyang Liu Wenhua Li Mingzhu Huang Xiaoying Zhao Dongmei Ji Jin Li Weijian Guo | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5: | 2 |

| 4 | Scalable carbon black deposited fabric/hydrogel composites for affordable solar-driven water purification显示文摘Interfacial solar-driven evaporators have presented great potential for water purification owing to their low energy consumption and high steam generation efficiency. However, their further applications are hindered by the high costs and complicated fabrication processes. Here, a scalable bilayer interfacial evaporator was constructed via an affordable technique, in which carbon black deposited nonwoven fabric(CB@NF) was employed as the upper photothermal layer, as well as PVA/starch hybrid hydrogel for selffloating and water transport. Under simulated one sun irradiation, CB@NF layer displayed excellent photothermal conversion performance, whose temperature could increase 30.4 ℃ within 15 min. Moreover,the introduction of starch into PVA endowed the hybrid hydrogels with considerable water-absorption capability on the premise of ensuring mechanical properties. | 12 | Low-cost polymer acceptors with noncovalently fused-ring backbones for efficient all-polymer solar cells显示文摘The polymerization of fused-ring acceptors(FRAs) to afford their corresponding polymeric acceptors for high-performance all-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs) has achieved remarkable progress in the past few years.However,due to the high degree of synthetic complexity for the monomer,the high-cost of these polymeric acceptors may limit their commercial applications.Thus,it is urgent to develop inexpensive and high-performance polymeric acceptors for all-PSCs.Herein,two novel polymeric acceptors(PBTzO and PBTzO-2F) have been designed and synthesized by copolymerization of noncovalently fused ring acceptors(NFRAs),which were employed in all-PSCs for the first time.Upon introducing the “noncovalently conformational locks(NoCLs)” in the backbone and selective fluorination of the end-group,photophysical and electrical properties,and solidstate packing properties of the NFRAs have been rationally tuned.As a result,the PBDB-T:PBTzO-2F based devices presented an excellent power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 11.04%,much higher than that of PBTzO based ones due to the increased charge generation and extraction,improved hole transfer and carrier mobilities,and reduced energy loss.More importantly,PBTzO-2F exhibited a much lower synthetic complexity(SC) index and higher figure-of-merit(FOM) values than the high-performance fused-ring acceptor based polymer acceptors(FRA-PAs) due to the simpler structures and more effective synthesis.This contribution provided a novel idea to achieve low-cost and high-performance all-PSCs. | Xiaobin Gu Yanan Wei Xingzheng Liu Na Yu Laiyang Li Ziyang Han Jinhua Gao Congqi Li Zhixiang Wei Zheng Tang Xin Zhang Hui Huang | 2022 | Science China Chemistry2022,65,5: | 1 |
