2Effect of casting speed on surface quality of horizontal direct chill casting 7075 aluminum alloy ingot显示文摘7075 aluminum alloy ingot with the diameter of 100 mm has been produced by hor-izontal direct chill casting in different casting speed. The effect of the casting speed on the ingot surface and subsurface layer was studied by surface observation and subsurface structure analysis. It was found that increasing the casting speed results in the adding of segregation knots in the ingot surface. The thickness of the dendrite microstructure layer in the subsurface reduces with increasing the casting speed. 3Origin of inhomogeneity in spark plasma sintered bismuth antimony telluride thermoelectric nanocomposites显示文摘Anisotropy and inhomogeneity are ubiquitous in spark plasma sintered thermoelectric devices.However,the origin of inhomogeneity in thermoelectric nanocomposites has rarely been investigated so far.Herein,we systematically study the impact of inhomogeneity in spark plasma sintered bismuth antimony telluride(BiSbTe)thermoelectric nanocomposites fabricated from solution-synthesized nanoplates.The figure of merit can reach 1.18,which,however,can be overestimated to 1.88 without considering the inhomogeneity.Our study reveals that the inhomogeneity in thermoelectric properties is attributed to the non-uniformity of porosity,textures and elemental distribution from electron backscatter diffraction and energy-dispersive spectroscopy characterizations.This finding suggests that the optimization of bulk material homogeneity should also be actively pursued in any future thermoelectric material research.Enzheng Shi Shuang Cui Nicholas Kempf Qingfeng Xing Thomas Chasapis Huazhang Zhu Zhe Li Je-Hyeong Bahk G.Jeffrey Snyder Yanliang Zhang Renkun Chen Yue Wu 2020Nano Research2020,13,5:2

9Impact of Untreated Sedimentation Tank Sludge Water Recycle on Water Quality During Treatment of Low Turbidity Water显示文摘The overall purpose of this research is to examine the impact of untreated sedimentation tank sludge water( USTSW) recycle on water quality during treatment of low turbidity water in coagulation—sedimentation processes. 950 m L of raw water and different concentrations of 50 m L USTSW are injected into six 1 000 m L beakers without coagulant.The results indicate that USTSW characterized as accumulated suspended solids and organic matter has active ingredients,which possess the equivalent function of coagulant. The optimal blended water turbidity is in the range of 10-20 NTU,within which USTSW recycle achieves the highest save coagulant rate. The mechanism of strengthening coagulation effect when USTSW recycle mainly depends on the chemical effect and physical effect. What is more,through scanning electron microscopy( SEM),it is found that the floc structures with USTSW recycle are more compact than those without USTSW recycle. 11Research and development of Chinese anti-COVID-19 drugs显示文摘The outbreak and spread of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)highlighted the importance and urgency of the research and development of therapeutic drugs.Very early into the COVID-19 pandemic,China has begun developing drugs,with some notable progress.Herein,we summarizes the anti-COVID-19 drugs and promising drug candidates originally developed and researched in China.Furthermore,we discussed the developmental prospects,mechanisms of action,and advantages and disadvantages of the anti-COVID-19 drugs in development,with the aim to contribute to the rational use of drugs in COVID-19 treatment and more effective development of new drugs against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)and the variants.Neutralizing antibody is an effective approach to overcome COVID-19.However,drug resistance induced by rapid virus mutation will likely to challenge neutralizing antibodies.Taking into account current epidemic trends,small molecule drugs have a crucial role in fighting COVID-19 due to their significant advantage of convenient administration and affordable and broad-spectrum.Traditional Chinese medicines,including natural products and traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions,contribute to the treatment of COVID-19 due to their unique mechanism of action.Currently,the research and development of Chinese anti-COVID-19 drugs have led to some promising achievements,thus prompting us to expect even more rapidly available solutions.Xiwei Ji Xiangrui Meng Xiao Zhu Qingfeng He Yimin Cui 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,12:1
12Effect of trace element vanadium on superplasticity of 5083 aluminium alloy sheets显示文摘The effect of trace element vanadium on the superplasticity of 5083 aluminium alloy sheets was studied by high temperature tensile optical microscopy.The results showed that trace element vanadium added into 5083 alloy could refine the fibrous structure of the rolling sheet,restrain the grain growth during recrystallization,and improve the superplasticity of 5083 aluminium alloy.The size of recrystallized grains of the sheets was reduced from 100 to 20 μm,and the elongation percentage of 5083 aluminium alloy sheets in 510°C was improved from 208% to 254% after the trace element vanadium was added into the conventional 5083 aluminium alloy.WANG XlangJie CONG FuGuan ZHU QingFeng CUI JianZhong 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,2:1
13Identification and Characterization of a Novel Thymus Aging Related Protein Rwdd1显示文摘By using DDRT-PCR and EST segment ligation,a novel mouse thymus involution related gene Rwdd1 was identified. The reading frame encoded a protein of 243 amino acid residues which contained an RWD domain at the N terminus. Rwdd1 expression in thymus was decreased in aged and oxidatively stressed mice. It was found to be expressed extensively in thymocytes and thymic epithelial cells. The expression level of Rwdd1 could affect the transactivation activity of androgen receptor (AR) in transiently transfected thymic epithelial cells. However,no direct interaction could be detected by fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) analysis. 14Investigation of Out-Phase Electromagnetic Casting of Aluminum Alloy显示文摘The influences of out-phase electromagnetic field on the as-cast structure of horizontal direct chill casting aluminum alloy ingot were experimental by and numerical by studied. The results of numerical analysis show that the interaction of the out-phase electromagnetic field and the melt can generate an electromagnetically induced forced flow in the melt, which, in turn, changes flow pattern and temperature field in the mold. The as-cast structure of the ingot can be greatly improved by the changes of flow pattern and temperature field. 15Optical-digital joint design method for Cassegrain optical system with large FOV显示文摘The field of view(FOV) of the traditional Cassegrain optical system is small, generally only 0.1°-0.2°. In order to enlarge the FOV, it is usually necessary to add correction groups or change the mirror type, but it introduces color difference and complicates the structure. In this study, an optical digital joint design method is put forward to expand the FOV of the Cassegrain optical system. First, the structural parameters of the system are optimized to control the aberration. Then, based on the wavefront aberration theory, the wavefront aberration model is constructed using Zernike polynomials, and the point spread function model is established using Fourier transform. Finally, the image is processed using the spatial transform deconvolution algorithm. The FOV of the Cassegrain optical system is expanded using only primary and secondary mirror structures. The simulation experiment of the Cassegrain optical system shows that the FOV is expanded approximately 6 times, and the imaging quality is improved. 17A DFT study of CO_2 electrochemical reduction on Pb(211) and Sn(112)显示文摘Electrochemical reduction of CO2 has the benefit of turning greenhouse gas emissions into useful resources. We performed a comparative study of the electrochemical reduction of CO2 on stepped Pb(211) and Sn(112) surfaces based on the results of density functional theory slab calculations. We mapped out the potential energy profiles for electrochemical reduction of CO2 to formate and other possible products on both surfaces. Our results show that the first step is the formation of the adsorbed formate(HCOO*) species through an Eley-Rideal mechanism. The formate species can be reduced to HCOO- through a oneelectron reduction in basic solution, which produces formic acid as the predominant product. The respective potentials of forming HCOO* are predicted to be -0.72 and -0.58 V on Pb and Sn. Higher overpotentials make other reaction pathways accessible, leading to different products. On Sn(112), CO and CH4 can be generated at -0.65 V following formate formation. 18Cepharanthine enhance radiosensitization of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells through inhibition of DNA damage repair显示文摘Objective: Recent reports suggest that Cepharanthine(CEP),a natural alkaloid extracted from the roots of Stephania Cepharanthine Hayata,can inhibit the proliferation of various cancer cells,but few studies focus on its radiosensitization in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)cells. The aim of this study was to explore the radiosensitization effect and the potential mechanisms of CEP on nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines CNE-1 and CNE-2. Methods: The NPC cell lines CNE-1 and CNE-2 were treated with CEP(IC50)for 48 h before irration(IR);clonogenic survival was then assessed. The apoptosis and cell cycle progression were using flow cytometry.The DNA damage repair and cycle-regulating proteins were evaluated by Western blot analysis. Results: CEP could inhibit cell growth in both cell lines. 20Earth abundant spinel for hydrogen production in a chemical looping scheme at 550℃显示文摘Operating chemical looping process at mid-temperatures(550–750℃)presents exciting potential for the stable production of hydrogen.However,the reactivity of oxygen carriers is compromised by the detrimental effect of the relatively low temperatures on the redox kinetics.Although the reactivity at mid-temperature can be improved by the addition of noble metals,the high cost of these noble metal containing materials significantly hindered their scalable applications.In the current work,we propose to incorporate earth-abundant metals into the ironbased spinel for hydrogen production in a chemical looping scheme at mid-temperatures.Mn0.2Co0.4Fe2.4O4 shows a high hydrogen production performance at the average rate of~0.62 mmol g^(-1) min^(-1) and a hydrogen yield of~9.29 mmol g^(-1) with satisfactory stability over 20 cycles at 550℃.The mechanism studies manifest that the enhanced hydrogen production performance is a result of the improved oxygen-ion conductivity to enhance reduction reaction and high reactivity of reduced samples with steam.The performance of the oxygen carriers in this work is comparable to those noble-metal containing materials,enabling their potential for industrial applications.Yu Qiu Li Ma Qingfeng Kong Min Li Dongxu Cui Shuai Zhang Dewang Zeng Rui Xiao 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,5:0
