| 2 | Evolution of transanal total mesorectal excision for rectal cancer:From top to bottom显示文摘The gold standard for curative treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer involves radical resection with a total mesorectal excision(TME). TME is the most effective treatment strategy to reduce local recurrence and improve survival outcomes regardless of the surgical platform used. However, there are associated morbidities, functional consequences, and quality of life(QoL) issues associated with TME; these risks must be considered during the modern-day multidisciplinary treatment for rectal cancer. This has led to the development of new surgical techniques to improve patient, oncologic, and QoL outcomes. In this work, we review the evolution of TME to the transanal total mesorectal excision(TaTME) through more traditional minimally invasive platforms. The review the development, safety and feasibility, proposed benefits and risks of the procedure, implementation and education models, and future direction for research and implementation of the TaTME in colorectal surgery. | 4 | How to Make Capsules Containing Rejuvenators for Their Use in Asphalt Concrete显示文摘Rejuvenators are products designed to restore original properties to oxidized asphalt binders by restoring the original ratio of asphaltenes to maltenes. But,for a rejuvenator to be successful,it must penetrate the pavement surface. Besides,application of a rejuvenator will also reduce the skid resistance of the pavement. To solve this,these rejuvenators can be encapsulated and mixed in asphalt concrete. Once the stress in the capsules reaches a certain threshold,the particles break and the rejuvenator is released,giving back the original properties of the pavement. The objective of this paper is to show how these capsules behave and define the most appropriate testing methods to find their effect on asphalt concrete. For this,two different types of rejuvenators will be encapsulated and their effect on the properties of the capsules investigated. | 5 | High-density SNP-based genetic maps for the parents of an outcrossed and a selfed tetraploid garden rose cross, inferred from admixed progeny using the 68k rose SNP array显示文摘Dense genetic maps create a base for QTL analysis of important traits and future implementation of marker-assisted breeding.In tetraploid rose,the existing linkage maps include<300 markers to cover 28 linkage groups(4 homologous sets of 7 chromosomes).Here we used the 68k WagRhSNP Axiom single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)array for rose,in combination with SNP dosage calling at the tetraploid level,to genotype offspring from the garden rose cultivar‘Red New Dawn’.The offspring proved to be not from a single bi-parental cross.In rose breeding,crosses with unintended parents occur regularly.We developed a strategy to separate progeny into putative populations,even while one of the parents was unknown,using principle component analysis on pairwise genetic distances based on sets of selected SNP markers that were homozygous,and therefore uninformative for one parent.One of the inferred populations was consistent with self-fertilization of‘Red New Dawn’.Subsequently,linkage maps were generated for a bi-parental and a self-pollinated population with‘Red New Dawn’as the common maternal parent.The densest map,for the selfed parent,had 1929 SNP markers on 25 linkage groups,covering 1765.5 cM at an average marker distance of 0.9 cM.Synteny with the strawberry(Fragaria vesca)genome was extensive.Rose ICM1 corresponded to F.vesca pseudochromosome 7(Fv7),ICM4 to Fv4,ICM5 to Fv3,ICM6 to Fv2 and ICM7 to Fv5.Rose ICM2 corresponded to parts of F.vesca pseudochromosomes 1 and 6,whereas ICM3 is syntenic to the remainder of Fv6. | Mirjana Vukosavljev Paul Arens Roeland E Voorrips Wendy P C van't Westende G D Esselink Peter M Bourke Peter Cox W Eric van de Weg Richard G F Visser Chris Maliepaard Marinus J M Smulders | 2016 | Horticulture Research2016，3，1： | 6 |
| 6 | Low doses of intravenous epinephrine for refractory sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia显示文摘We report three cases of sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia(VT) in the setting of coronary artery disease,resistant to beta-blockers in two patients and to amiodarone in all,successfully terminated by low doses of intravenous(IV) epinephrine.VT was the first manifestation of coronary artery disease in one patient,whereas the other two patients had a previous history of myocardial infarction and were recipients of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator(ICD).One of these two patients experienced an arrhythmic storm.All had hemodynamic instability at the time of epinephrine administration.A single slow administration of IV epinephrine(0.5 to 1 mg administered over 30 to 60 s) restored sinus rhythm after 30-90 s with only minor side effects.In the ICD patient with recurrent VT and several cardioversions due to transformation of VT to ventricular fibrillation,epinephrine injection led to the avoidance of further shocks.Although potentially harmful,low doses of IV epinephrine used alone or in combination with beta-blocker treatment and electrical cardioversion may be an alternative effective therapy for sustained monomorphic VT refractory to amiodarone.The role of epinephrine in the termination of VT should be studied further,especially in patients pre-treated with amiodarone in combination with beta-blockers. | Aimé Bonny Antonio De Sisti Manlio F Márquez Richard Megbemado Franoise Hidden-Lucet Guy Fontaine | 2012 | World Journal of Cardiology2012，4，10： | 3 |

| 10 | Chronic antiepileptic drug use and functional network efficiency: A functional magnetic resonance imaging study显示文摘AIM To increase our insight in the neuronal mechanisms underlying cognitive side-effects of antiepileptic drug(AED) treatment.METHODS The relation between functional magnetic resonance-acquired brain network measures, AED use, and cognitive function was investigated. Three groups of patients with epilepsy with a different risk profile for developing cognitive side effects were included: A 'low risk' category(lamotrigine or levetiracetam, n=16), an 'intermediate risk' category(carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenytoin, or valproate, n=34) and a 'high risk' category(topiramate, n=5). Brain connectivity was assessed using resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging and graph theoretical network analysis. The Computerized Visual Searching Task was used to measure central information processing speed, a common cognitive side effect of AED treatment. RESULTS Central information processing speed was lower in patients taking AEDs from the intermediate and high risk categories, compared with patients from the low risk category. The effect of risk category on global efficiency was significant(P < 0.05, ANCOVA), with a significantly higher global efficiency for patient from the low category compared with the high risk category(P < 0.05, post-hoc test). Risk category had no significant effect on the clustering coefficient(ANCOVA, P > 0.2). Also no significant associations between information processing speed and global efficiency or the clustering coefficient(linear regression analysis, P > 0.15) were observed.
