| 1 | Helium isotopic compositions in fluid inclusions of the Gangxi fault belt in the Huanghua Depression, Bohai Bay Basin显示文摘The authors obtained 30 core samples from 15 wells in Gangxi fault belt, Huanghua Depression. Using a VG5400 mass spectrometer, the helium isotopic compositions in fluid inclusion of these samples were analysed. Interpreta- tion of results suggests a significant amount of man- tle-derived helium in the inclusions, which were likely trapped during Neocene. Mantle-derived helium have mostly accumulated in the intersections of the NWW trending Xuz- huangzi and NE trending Gangxi faults, and decreased away from the intersections. This pattern implied a close relation- ship to the local tectonic setting. Gangxi fault belt experi- enced intensive neo-tectonic activities in the Cenozoic. Widespread faulted-depressions and strong volcanic erup- tions manifested its tectonic status of extensional stress field. Mantle uplift caused the movement of magma that carried mantle-derived gas, and the deep-rooted tension faults pro- vided the passages for the gases to shallow crust levels. | 8 | Overexpression of maize GOLDEN2 in rice and maize calli improves regeneration by activating chloroplast development显示文摘Golden2(G2), a member of the GARP transcription factor superfamily, regulates several biological processes and phytohormone signaling pathways in plants. In this study, we used a rice codon-optimized maize G2 gene(rZmG2) to improve the regeneration efficiency of rice and maize calli for genetic transformation. We isolated a promoter driving strong and callus-specific expression from rice to drive rZmG2 transcription from a transgene after transformation of two indica and two japonica rice cultivars. The resulting rZmG2 transgenic calli turned green in advance at the differentiation stage, thus significantly raising the regeneration rates of the transgenic indica and japonica rice plants relative to control transformations. Similar effect of this gene on improving maize transformation was also observed. Transcriptome sequencing and RT-qPCR analyses showed that many rice genes related to chloroplast development and phytohormones are upregulated in rZmG2-transgenic calli. These results demonstrate that rZmG2 can promote embryogenic callus differentiation and improve regeneration efficiency by activating chloroplast development and phytohormone pathways. We also established a heat-inducible Cre/loxP-based gene-excision system to remove rZmG2 and the antibiotic selectable gene after obtaining the transgenic plants. | 9 | Application of Activated Alumina Powders in Corundum Castables显示文摘There are many brands of activated alumina powders in the market and the products from different manufacturers exist subtle differences. In this work, four brands of activated alumina powder which are the mainstream products in China with the same marked particle size of 2-3 μm were added to corundum castables to investigate the effect of different activated alumina powder on properties of corundum castables. It is found that the multi-peak distribution, round-shape particle,low impurities content of alumina powder are of great benefit to the improvement of the overall performance of castables.Obvious CA6 frame structure formed in castables matrix is conductive to improving the thermal shock resistance and high temperature strength of castables. | 10 | Trojan nanobacteria hybridized with prodrug nanocapsules for efficient combined tumor therapy显示文摘Live bacteria-based drug delivery systems have been raised as promising tools for enhancing drug delivery into tumors due to their active tumor targeting and easy surface modifiability.In this work,a“Trojan nanobacteria hybrid”,E.coli@highly integrated nanocapsules(HINCs)hybrid(HINE-Hybrid),was successfully constructed with HINCs of prodrug based on covalent selfassembly and the facultative anaerobic bacterium E.coli MG 1655 for combined chemotherapy,photothermal therapy(PTT),and chemodynamic therapy(CDT).HINCs were constructed by covalent cross-linking of pillar[5]arene derivatives and cisplatin prodrug linker,which can be endocytosed and lysed to release therapeutic agents.Under the near-infrared(NIR)light(at 808 nm)irradiation,the system temperature can be significantly increased by HINCs,which further leads to the highly efficient generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS).In addition,HINE-Hybrid shows significant antitumor effects in in vitro and in vivo studies and also promotes immune cell infiltration and antitumor cytokine expression in the tumor microenvironment(TME).HINEHybrid exerts its anticancer properties efficiently due to selective enrichment and multiplication of E.coli at tumor sites,which is important for the construction of bacterial-assisted antitumor platforms. | Mingsong Zang Yuancheng Ji Xiaoran Ding Zhengwei Xu Jinxing Hou Jianxin Sun Jiayun Xu Shuangjiang Yu Hongcheng Sun Tingting Wang Junqiu Liu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
