The next detectors for gravitational wave astronomy显示文摘This paper focuses on the next detectors for gravitational wave astronomy which will be required after the current ground based detectors have completed their initial observations, and probably achieved the first direct detection of gravitational waves. The next detectors will need to have greater sensitivity, while also enabling the world array of detectors to have improved angular resolution to allow localisation of signal sources. Sect. 1 of this paper begins by reviewing proposals for the next ground based detectors, and presents an analysis of the sensitivity of an 8 km armlength detector, which is proposed as a safe and cost-effective means to attain a 4-fold improvement in sensitivity. The scientific benefits of creating a pair of such detectors in China and Australia is emphasised. Sect. 2 of this paper discusses the high performance suspension systems for test masses that will be an essential component for future detectors, while sect. 3 discusses solutions to the problem of Newtonian noise which arise from fluctuations in gravity gradient forces acting on test masses. Such gravitational perturbations cannot be shielded, and set limits to low frequency sensitivity unless measured and suppressed. Sects. 4 and 5 address critical operational technologies that will be ongoing issues in future detectors. Sect. 4 addresses the design of thermal compensation systems needed in all high optical power interferometers operating at room temperature. Parametric instability control is addressed in sect. 5. Only recently proven to occur in Advanced LIGO, parametric instability phenomenon brings both risks and opportunities for future detectors. The path to future enhancements of detectors will come from quantum measurement technologies. Sect. 6 focuses on the use of optomechanical devices for obtaining enhanced sensitivity, while sect. 7 reviews a range of quantum measurement options. | BLAIR David JU Li ZHAO ChunNong WEN LinQing MIAO HaiXing CAI RongGen GAO JiangRui LIN XueChun LIU Dong WU Ling-An ZHU ZongHong HAMMOND Giles PAIK Ho Jung FAFONE Viviana ROCCHI Alessio BLAIR Carl MA YiQiu QIN JiaYi PAGE Michael | 2015 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2015,58,12: | 3
Total Variation Based Parameter-Free Model for Impulse Noise Removal显示文摘We propose a new two-phase method for reconstruction of blurred im-ages corrupted by impulse noise. In the first phase,we use a noise detector to iden-tify the pixels that are contaminated by noise, and then,in the second phase,we reconstruct the noisy pixels by solving an equality constrained total variation mini-mization problem that preserves the exact values of the noise-free pixels. For images that are only corrupted by impulse noise(i.e.,not blurred)we apply the semismooth Newton’s method to a reduced problem, and if the images are also blurred,we solve the equality constrained reconstruction problem using a first-order primal-dual algo-rithm.The proposed model improves the computational efficiency(in the denoising case)and has the advantage of being regularization parameter-free.Our numerical results suggest that the method is competitive in terms of its restoration capabilities with respect to the other two-phase methods. | Federica Sciacchitano Yiqiu Dong Martin S.Andersen | 2017 | Numerical Mathematics(Theory,Methods and Applications)2017,10,1: | 2

Combined Treatment with Electrocauterization,Carbon Dioxide Laser, and Microneedle Fractional Radiofrequency for Facial Angiofibromas in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex:A Case Report and Literature Review显示文摘Tuberous sclerosis complex is a type of genetic multisystem disease that causes hamartomas in various organs.Facial angiofibromas commonly occur in 80%of patients and are prominently distributed over the cheek, chin, and nasolabial folds with severe disfigurement and emotional distress.Recently, photoelectric devices have been identified for the treatment of angiofibromas with great efficacy and fewer side effects. We report a case of a 42-year-old man with facial angiofibromas, who was treated with a combination of high-frequency electrocauterization,Ultrapulse CO_(2) laser, and microneedle fractional radiofrequency with 7 sessions and a 6-month follow-up.The patient showed great improvement in relation to the elevated lesions and nodules.A low recurrence rate was observed. This is the first study to investigate the efficacy of high-frequency electrocauterization and microneedle fractional radiofrequency in angiofibromas. It may provide an optimal approach for clinicians wherein a combined treatment of various lasers and electric devices is effective for complicated, protuberant, and firm angiofibromas of specific patients. | Jiying DONG Shen WANG Min YAN Jing MI Ying ZENG Huyan LIN Yiqiu ZHANG Min YAO | 2021 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2021,3,1: | 1

Experimental Investigation of Regular or Wavy Two-Phase Flow in a Manifold显示文摘An experimental study was conducted to investigate the properties of stratified regular or wavy two-phase flow in two parallel separators located after a manifold.A total of 103 experiments with various gas and liquid velocity combinations in three inlet pipes were conducted, including 77 groups of outlet pipe resistance symmetry and 26 groups of outlet pipe resistance asymmetry trials. The experimental results have revealed that when the gas-liquid flow rate is low,the degree of uneven splitting is high, and“extreme”conditions are attained. When the superficial gas velocity is greater than that established in the extreme case, the direction of the liquid-phase displacement is reversed, while that of the gas remains unchanged. Thus, the degree of gas phase bias tends to be mitigated with an increase in the gas velocity, while the uneven splitting degree of liquid approaches 10%.Finally,varying the gas-phase outlet pipe resistance is shown to effectively change the gas-liquid two-phase flow distribution. | Xiaowei Nie Lihui Ma Yiqiu Xu Dong Sun Weibo Zheng Liang Zhou Xiaodong Wang Xiaohan Zhang Weijia Dong Yunfei Li | 2023 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,1: | 0
IMPULSE NOISE REMOVAL BY L1 WEIGHTED NUCLEAR NORM MINIMIZATION显示文摘In recent years, the nuclear norm minimization(NNM)as a convex relaxation of the rank minimization has attracted great research interest.By assigning different weights to singular values, the weighted nuclear norm minimization(WNNM)has been utilized in many applications. However, most of the work on WNNM is combined with the l 2-data-fidelity term, which is under additive Gaussian noise assumption. In this paper,we introduce the L1-WNNM model, which incorporates the l 1-data-fidelity term and the regularization from WNNM.We apply the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)to solve the non-convex minimization problem in this model. We exploit the low rank prior on the patch matrices extracted based on the image non-local self-similarity and apply the L1-WNNM model on patch matrices to restore the image corrupted by impulse noise.Numerical results show that our method can effectively remove impulse noise. | Jian Lu Yuting Ye Yiqiu Dong Xiaoxia Liu Yuru Zou | 2023 | Journal of Computational Mathematics2023,41,6: | 0
