| 1 | Detection and fine-mapping of SC7 resistance genes via linkage and association analysis in soybean显示文摘Soybean mosaic virus(SMV) disease is one of the most serious and broadly distributed soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) diseases. Here, we combine the advantages of association and linkage analysis to identify and fine-map the soybean genes associated with resistance to SMV strain SC7.A set of 191 soybean accessions from different geographic origins and 184 recombinant inbred lines(RILs) derived from Kefeng No.1(resistant) Nannong 1138-2(susceptible) were used in this study. The SC7 resistance genes were previously mapped to a 2.65 Mb region on chromosome 2 and a 380 kb region on chromosome 13. Among 19 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) detected via association analysis in the study, the SNP BARC-021625-04157 was located in the2.65 Mb region, and the SNP BARC-041671-08065 was located near the 380 kb region; three genes harboring the SNPs were probably related to SC7 resistance. The resistance gene associated with BARC-021625-04157 was then finemapped to a region of approximately 158 kb on chromosome2 using 184 RILs. Among the 15 genes within this region, one NBS-LRR type gene, one HSP40 gene and one serine carboxypeptidase-type gene might be candidate SC7 resistance genes. | 2 | Kinetic analysis of self-condensing vinyl polymerization with unequal reactivities显示文摘The distribution function of the hyperbranched polymers formed from the self-condensing vinyl polymerization with unequal reactivities was derived and the differential equations for the second moments are established, based on the variable of the conversion of B* groups. The various average degrees of branching can be designed by suitable values of reactivities ratio (r) and the conversion of A group (x). In order to reach the maximum degree of branching at a specified x, r needed is dependant on the value of x. The higher the x, the less the r needed is for the maximum value of degree of branching. | 3 | Drug release property of a pH-responsive double-hydrophilic hyperbranched graft copolymer显示文摘In this paper, we report the synthesis and self-assembly of double-hydrophilic hyperbranched graft copolymers of HPG-g-PDMAEMA, which consist of a hyperbranched polyglycerol (HPG) core and several grafted poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) (PDMAEMA) arms. HPG was synthesized by cationic polymerization. Then HPG-Br macroinitiator was obtained by esterification of HPG with 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide, which was subsequently used in the preparation of HPG-g-PDMAEMA graft copolymers through atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of DMAEMA monomers. The molecular structures were studied by 1H NMR and GPC. The pyrene-based fluorescent probe method, 1H NMR and DLS were used to study the self-assembly behavior of HPG-g-PDMAEMA. The drug loading and pH-responsive release properties of HPG-g-PDMAEMA were also investigated by using coumarin 102 as a model drug. | 4 | Supramolecular self-assembly and controllable drug release of thermosensitive hyperbranched multiarm copolymers显示文摘A novel temperature-responsive hyperbranched multiarm copolymer with a hydrophobic hyperbranched poly(3-ethyl-3-(hydroxymethyl)oxetane)(HBPO) core and thermosensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM) arms was synthesized via the atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) of NIPAM monomers from a hyperbranched HBPO macroinitiator.It was found that HBPO-star-PNIPAM self-assembled into multimolecular micelles(around 60 nm) in water at room temperature according to pyrene probe fluorescence spectrometry,1H NMR,TEM,and DLS measurements.The micelle solution showed a reversible thermosensitive phase transition at a lower critical solution temperature(LCST)(around 32°C) observed by variable temperature optical absorbance measurements.Variable temperature NMR and DLS analyses demonstrated that the LCST transition originated from the secondary aggregation of the micelles driven by increasing hydrophobic interaction due to the dehydration of PNIPAM shells upon heating.The drug loading and release properties of HBPO-star-PNIPAM micelles were also investigated using prednisone acetate as a model drug.The micelles showed a much improved drug encapsulation efficiency and temperature-dependent sustainable release behavior due to the special micellar structure.The micelles exhibited no apparent cytotoxicity against human HeLa cells. | GUO Bo,SUN XiaoYi,ZHOU YongFeng & YAN DeYue College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Shanghai 200240,China | 2010 | Science China Chemistry2010,53,3: | 5 |
| 5 | Exploration of presence/absence variation and corresponding polymorphic markers in soybean genome显示文摘This study was designed to reveal the genome‐wide distribution of presence/absence variation(PAV) and to establish a database of polymorphic PAV markers in soybean. The 33 soybean whole‐genome sequences were compared to each other with that of Williams 82 as a reference genome. A total of 33,127 PAVs were detected and 28,912 PAV markers with their primer sequences were designed as the database NJAUSoyPAV_1.0. The PAVs scattered on whole genome while only 518(1.8%) overlapped with simple sequence repeats(SSRs) in BARCSOYSSR_1.0database. In a random sample of 800 PAVs, 713(89.13%) showed polymorphism among the 12 differential genotypes. Using 126 PAVs and 108 SSRs to test a Chinese soybean germplasm collection composed of 828 Glycine soja Sieb. et Zucc. and Glycine max(L.) Merr. accessions, the per locus allele number and its variation appeared less in PAVs than in SSRs. The distinctness among alleles/bands of PCR(polymerase chain reaction) products showed better in PAVs than in SSRs, potential in accurate marker‐assisted allele selection. | 7 | Stratified-structural hydrogel incorporated with magnesium-ion-modified black phosphorus nanosheets for promoting neuro-vascularized bone regeneration显示文摘Angiogenesis and neurogenesis play irreplaceable roles in bone repair.Although biomaterial implantation that mimics native skeletal tissue is extensively studied,the nerve-vascular network reconstruction is neglected in the design of biomaterials.Our goal here is to establish a periosteum-simulating bilayer hydrogel and explore the efficiency of bone repair via enhancement of angiogenesis and neurogenesis.In this contribution,we designed a bilayer hydrogel platform incorporated with magnesium-ion-modified black phosphorus(BP)nanosheets for promoting neuro-vascularized bone regeneration.Specifically,we incorporated magnesium-ion-modified black phosphorus(BP@Mg)nanosheets into gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)hydrogel to prepare the upper hydrogel,whereas the bottom hydrogel was designed as a double-network hydrogel system,consisting of two interpenetrating polymer networks composed of GelMA,PEGDA,andβ-TCP nanocrystals.The magnesium ion modification process was developed to enhance BP nanosheet stability and provide a sustained release platform for bioactive ions.Our results demonstrated that the upper layer of hydrogel provided a bionic periosteal structure,which significantly facilitated angiogenesis via induction of endothelial cell migration and presented multiple advantages for the upregulation of nerve-related protein expression in neural stem cells(NSCs).Moreover,the bottom layer of the hydrogel significantly promoted bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)activity and osteogenic differentiation.We next employed the bilayer hydrogel structure to correct rat skull defects.Based on our radiological and histological examinations,the bilayer hydrogel scaffolds markedly enhanced early vascularization and neurogenesis,which prompted eventual bone regeneration and remodeling.Our current strategy paves way for designing nerve-vascular network biomaterials for bone regeneration. | Yan Xu Chao Xu Lei He Junjie Zhou Tianwu Chen Liu Ouyang Xiaodong Guo Yanzhen Qu Zhiqiang Luo Deyu Duan | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,10: | 5 |

| 11 | Fe-Based Metal-Organic Framework and Its Derivatives for Reversible Lithium Storage显示文摘The use of a Fe-based metal organic framework(MOF), namely MIL-88B(Fe), as active material for lithium ion batteries(LIBs) is reported for the first time in the present work. Fe-based MOF demonstrated high capacity, excellent cycling stability and rate performance when used as anode. A highly reversible capacity of 680 mAhg^(-1) after 500 cycles at a current density of 200 m A g^(-1) was obtained. In addition, Fe_2O_3 and Fe_3O_4/C composites were obtained from Fe-based MOFs through thermal treatment. | 12 | Ultrasound speed and attenuation in progressive trypsin digested articular cartilage显示文摘Subtle changes of articular cartilage(AC) can lead to tissue degeneration and even osteoarthritis(OA).The early degeneration of AC is closely related to a change in proteoglycans(PG) content.The observation of PG is therefore an appropriate way of studying OA and evaluating the degree of AC degeneration.In this study,20 cartilage-bone samples were prepared from normal porcine femoral condyle cartilage and 10 samples were digested over 2 h using 0.25% trypsin solution.The dynamic process of PG-digestion was explored using a conventional A-mode ultrasound(US) experimental system with a 10 MHz center frequency.Quantitative acoustic parameters were calculated from ultrasonic radio-frequency echo signals and included US speed(USS),US amplitude attenuation coefficient(UAA) and broadband US attenuation coefficient(BUA).The experimental results showed that the conventional A-mode ultrasound is valuable for tracking the degree of PG-digestion.Histology also confirmed the validity of the ultrasound observations.For every AC sample,the degree of PG-digestion within a given time was different and was affected by individual differences.After two hours of degeneration,USS showed a mean decrease of 0.4%(P<0.05).UAA was significantly lower after a two-hour PG depletion period(from(2.45±0.23) to(2.28±0.41) dB mm?1).BUA showed no significant differences during this process.In conclusion,conventional ultrasound can provide useful information about trypsin-induced progressive PG depletion in AC and can reflect variations of PG content via the quantitative acoustic parameters USS and UAA.The results of this study may be used to identify an indirect indicator of cartilage matrix integrity and OA disease progression. | NIU HaiJun LI LiFeng SUN Feng YAN Yan WANG YueXiang LI DeYu FAN YuBo | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,11: | 3 |

The obtained MWNT-PDEAEMA nanocylinders have a core of MWNT and a shell of PDEAEMA and this core-shell struc- ture was confirmed by TEM observations. The UV-Vis and AFM measurements showed that the MWNT-PDEAEMA exhibited obvious pH sensitivity. The solubility of PDEAEMA-coated MWNT dramatically decreased when pH increased to ca. 7.0. | 16 | Preparation of fluorescent hyperbranched polymer materials by end-capping approach显示文摘Two kinds of novel fluorescent hyperbranched polymers were synthesized by the end-capping approach. The fluorescent hyperbranched polyether (FPEOTM) was obtained by end capping the hyperbranched poly(hydroxyl ether) (PEOTM) with guest molecules N,N-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (DMABA). In addition, in the presence of triethylamine, the hyperbranched polysulfone-amine with terminal double bonds (HPSA) was synthesized by polyaddition of a new AB2 type monomer (SAP, sulfone amine piperazine) at 40℃ for 60 h in chloroform solution. Then the fluorescent hyperbranched polysulfone-amine (FHPSA) was prepared by addition of guest molecules N,N-dimethylaminoanilines (DMAA) with the terminal double bonds of HPSA. The two resulting polymers fluoresce yellow-green color in both solid and solution states. The maximum emission wavelength is (460 ±10) nm and (470±10) nm, respectively. | 18 | Cobalt and nitrogen codoped porous carbon as superior bifunctional electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction and hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline medium显示文摘Cobalt and nitrogen codoped carbon materials(Co-N-C) were fabricated by pyrolysis of the mixture of poly(4-vinylpyridine) and cobalt chloride using SiO_2 nanoparticles as hard template, which were the first transition metal/nitrogen-codoped carbon bifunctional electrocatalyst derived from noncarbonizable polymer for ORR and HER. The as-made Co-N-C possessed hierarchical pore structure and high specific surface area, achieving excellent electrocatalytic performances for ORR and HER. Its ORR catalytic performances were comparable to those of Pt/C catalyst and its HER catalytic performances were superior to those of most doped carbon catalysts in KOH electrolyte. | 19 | Intrinsic viscosity of polymer solutions: fresh ideas to an old problem显示文摘Intrinsic viscosity is one of the most fundamental properties of dilute polymer solutions; its study forms an integral part of the cornerstone of the modern macromolecular theory. However, a general theory applicable to any chain architectures and solvent conditions has remained elusive, due to the formidable challenges in the theoretical treatment of the long-range, many-body and accumulative hydrodynamic effects. Recently, Lijia An and coworkers at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has developed a new approach that largely overcomes these challenges. Their new theory provides a simple and unified theoretical framework for describing the intrinsic viscosity of polymers with arbitrary architectures under any solvent conditions and forms the theoretical basis for inferring the polymer chain structure from intrinsic viscosity measurements.
