2Degradation Characteristics and Community Structure of a Hydrocarbon Degrading Bacterial Consortium显示文摘A hydrocarbon degrading bacterial consortium KO5-2 was isolated from oil-contaminated soil of Karamay in Xinjiang, China, which could remove 56.9% of 10 g/L total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH) at 30 ℃ after 7 days of incubation, and could also remove 100% of fluorene, 98.93% of phenanthrene and 65.73% of pyrene within 3, 7 and 9 days, respectively. Twelve strains from six different genera were isolated from KO5-2 and only eight ones were able to utilize the TPH. The denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) was used to investigate the microbial community shifts in five different carbon sources(including TPH, saturated hydrocarbons, fluorene, phenanthrene and pyrene). The test results indicated that the community compositions of KO5-2 in carbon sources of TPH and saturated hydrocarbons, respectively, were roughly the same, while they were distinctive in the three different carbon sources of PAHs. Rhodococcus sp. and Pseudomonas sp. could survive in the five kinds of carbon sources. Bacillus sp., Sphingomonas sp. and Ochrobactrum sp. likely played key roles in the degradation of saturated hydrocarbons, PAHs and phenanthrene, respectively. 3Mulching mode and planting density affect canopy interception loss of rainfall and water use efficiency of dryland maize on the Loess Plateau of China显示文摘High and efficient use of limited rainwater resources is of crucial importance for the crop production in arid and semi-arid areas. To investigate the effects of different soil and crop management practices(i.e., mulching mode treatments: flat cultivation with non-mulching, flat cultivation with straw mulching, plastic-covered ridge with bare furrow and plastic-covered ridge with straw-covered furrow; and planting density treatments: low planting density of 45,000 plants/hm^2, medium planting density of 67,500 plants/hm^2 and high planting density of 90,000 plants/hm^2) on rainfall partitioning by dryland maize canopy, especially the resulted net rainfall input beneath the maize canopy, we measured the gross rainfall, throughfall and stemflow at different growth stages of dryland maize in 2015 and 2016 on the Loess Plateau of China. The canopy interception loss was estimated by the water balance method. Soil water storage, leaf area index, grain yield(as well as it components) and water use efficiency of dryland maize were measured or calculated. Results showed that the cumulative throughfall, cumulative stemflow and cumulative canopy interception loss during the whole growing season accounted for 42.3%–77.5%, 15.1%–36.3% and 7.4%–21.4% of the total gross rainfall under different treatments, respectively. Soil mulching could promote the growth and development of dryland maize and enhance the capability of stemflow production and canopy interception loss, thereby increasing the relative stemflow and relative canopy interception loss and reducing the relative throughfall. The relative stemflow and relative canopy interception loss generally increased with increasing planting density, while the relative throughfall decreased with increasing planting density. During the two experimental years, mulching mode had no significant influence on net rainfall due to the compensation between throughfall and stemflow, whereas planting density significantly affected net rainfall. The highest grain yield and water use efficiency of dryland maize were obtained under the combination of medium planting density of 67,500 plants/hm^2 and mulching mode of plastic-covered ridge with straw-covered furrow. Soil mulching can reduce soil evaporation and retain more soil water for dryland maize without reducing the net rainfall input beneath the maize canopy, which may alleviate the contradiction between high soil water consumption and insufficient rainfall input of the soil. 5Research and Applications of Semi-solid Processing显示文摘It has been more than ten years since the semi-solid processing (SSP) technique was put into commercial applications in the world. A lot of work on semi-solid metals (SSM) including their preparation, reheating and semi-solid forming has been done in China. In order to produce the high quality die-casting, a novel innovation that modifies the present machines based on the SSP technique was proposed. Semi-solid die-casting on modified casting machines can manufacture parts with more excellent quality than those produced by squeeze casting. It was found that the defects such as 'elephant foot' and 'periphery liquid metal loss' during reheating could be avoided through controlling the non-de- ndritic sthectgre of billets and optimizing the reheating process. 6Real-time Synchronization Method Based on Dual Ring Fieldbus in CNC System显示文摘As the popularization of dual ring fieldbus,the optimized dual ring synchronization methods are still in short.The current synchronization methods are generally established in traditional industrial fieldbus,in which transmission is commonly considered in single track,the two-way transmitting cannot take full effect,and would result in unwanted idle load on equipment lines.In stamp-transferring part,the synchronizing algorithm is not properly processed to diminish the latency,so the real-time performance of entire system cannot be ensured.To support the synchronization control of stations in the CNC system,a real-time time synchronization method for dual ring fieldbus in the CNC system is designed in this paper.In this method a synchronizing message transmission scheme based on dual ring architecture and the synchronization algorithm between master and secondary stations are integrated.In the scheme,the clock models of both master and secondary stations are optimized with corresponding modules and the stamp data transmission based on the dual ring fieldbus is devised exclusively,so the transmitting efficiency improves with less idle work.In the algorithm,all the secondary stations can accomplish the consistent state with master station by updating clock discrepancy information in one communication cycle,and it takes the advantage of two-way transmitting and makes the best use of dual ring structure,so the real-time performance of the system can be promoted while retaining the precision of synchronization.To evaluate the performance,the costs of the method and errors during synchronizing are noted and analyzed based on the actual running environment in the industrial fieldbus.The results show that it reduces communication cost and ensures the smoothness of the system with low lag effects under heavy load.The proposed time synchronization method optimizes the architecture of sync message transmission in dual ring fieldbus,and improves the efficiency of time synchronization in the stations of CNC system.YANG Lei LIN Hu ZHENG Liaomo YUE Dongfeng GAO Tianrong WANG Feng 2014Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1:2
7Isolation and Characterization of a Thermophilic Oil-Degrading Bacterial Consortium显示文摘In this study, a thermophilic oil-degrading bacterial consortium KO8-2 growing within the temperature range of 45-65 ℃ (with 55 ℃ being the optimum temperature) was isolated from oil-contaminated soil of Karamay in Xinjiang, China. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) showed that there were nine strains included in KO8-2, which originated from the genera of Bacillus, Geobacillus and Clostridium. They all belonged to thermophilic bacteria, and had been previously proved as degraders of at least one petroleum fraction. The crude oil degraded by KO8-2 was analyzed by infrared spectrophotometry, hydrocarbon group type analysis and gas chromatography. The results indicated that the bacterial consortium KO8-2 was able to utilize 64.33% of saturates, 27.06% of aromatics, 13.24% of resins and the oil removal efficiency reached up to 58.73% at 55 ℃ when the oil concentration was 10 g/L. Detailed analysis showed that KO8-2 was able to utilize the hydrocarbon components before C 19 , and the n-alkanes ranging from C 20 -C 33 were signifi- cantly degraded. The ratios of nC 17 /Pr and nC 18 /Ph were 3.12 and 3.87, respectively, before degradation, whereas after degradation the ratios reduced to 0.21 and 0.38, respectively. 8Grain-size Characteristics and Climate Variability in TMS5e Sequence of Tumen Section in Southern Tengger Desert,Northwestern China显示文摘The TMS5e sequence from the Tumen section,at the southern edge of Tengger Desert in the northwestern China,is synchronous with Marine Isotope Stage 5e(MIS5e).It consists of 16 layers of aeolian dune sands,11 layers of lacustrine loess-like facies,and 5 layers of lacustrine facies.The results of grain-size analysis shows that the palaeo-mobile dune sands,palaeo-fixed to semi-fixed dune sands and loess-like sandy loams are mainly composed of sands,ranging from 70% to 96%;their silt contents ranged from 4% to 20%,and their clay contents ranged from 1% to 5%;the climate under which the aeolian dune sands were deposited is similar to that under which modern mobile dune sands form,which is caused by the dominance of the cold,dry East Asian winter monsoon.In contrast,the lacustrine loess-like facies and lacustrine facies had a lower sand contents than those of the three aeolian dune sands,but have higher silt and clay contents,most of their sand content ranged from 30% to 60%,their silt contents ranged from 35% to 55%,and their clay contents ranged from 6% to 20%.The lacustrine loess-like facies and lacustrine facies formed under the influence of the warm,humid East Asian summer monsoon based on their similarity with modern sediments.The grain-size indicator Mz(mean grain diameter) and the SC/D value in the TMS5e sequence indicate climatic insta-bility at the southern edge of the Tengger Desert during MIS5e,with at least 14 fluctuations between a warm,humid climate and a cold,dry climate,divided into five stages:TMS5e5(139 kyr to 129.3 kyr B.P.),TMS5e4(129.3 kyr to 124 kyr B.P.),TMS5e3(124 kyr to 119.5 kyr B.P.),TMS5e2(119.5 kyr to 116.5 kyr B.P.),and TMS5e1(116.5 kyr to 113.7 kyr B.P.).These correspond roughly to MIS5e5,MIS5e4,MIS5e3,MIS5e2,and MIS5e1,respectively,in the GRIP ice core data.WEN Xiaohao LI Baosheng WANG Fengnian ZHENG Yanming NIU Dongfeng SI Yuejin OU Xianjiao 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,1:2
9SRC3 expressed in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells promotes the development of multiple myeloma显示文摘SRC3 plays critical roles in various biological processes of diseases,including proliferation,apoptosis,migration,and cell cycle arrest.However,the effect of SRC3 expression in mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)on multiple myeloma(MM)is not clear yet.In our study,MSCs(MSC-SRC3,MSCSRC3-/-)and MM cells were co-cultured in a direct or indirect way.The proliferation of MM cells was studied by CCK-8 and colony formation assays.The apoptosis and cell cycle of MM cells were detected by flow cytometry.In addition,the expressions of proteins in MM cells were detected by western blot analysis and the secretions of cytokines were measured by ELISA.Our data showed that the expression of SRC3 in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BM-MSCs)could promote cell proliferation and colony formation of MM cells through accelerating the transformation of the G1/S phase,no matter what kind of culture method was adopted.Meanwhile,SRC3 expressed in BM-MSCs could inhibit the apoptosis of MM cells through the caspase apoptosis pathway and mitochondrial apoptosis pathway.Moreover,SRC3 could enhance the adhesion ability of MM cells through up-regulating the expression of adhesion molecules including CXCL4,ICAM1,VLA4,and syndecan-1.SRC3 also played a regulatory role in the progress of MM through the NF-kB and Pl-3K/Akt pathways.SRC3 expressed in MSCs was found to promote the growth and survival of MM cells,while SRC3 silencing in MSCs could inhibit the development of MM.These results would be useful for developing a more effective new strategy for MM treatment.Jie Jin Shidi Cheng Yu Wang Tao Wang Dongfeng Zeng Zheng Li Xiang Li Jin Wang 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,12:1

14Superhydrophobic,photo-sterilize,and reusable mask based on graphene nanosheet-embedded carbon(GNEC)film显示文摘The 2019 coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has affected more than 200 countries.Wearing masks can effectively cut off the virus spreading route since the coronavirus is mainly spreading by respiratory droplets.However,the common surgical masks cannot be reused,resulting in the increasing economic and resource consumption around the world.Herein,we report a superhydrophobic,photo-sterilize,and reusable mask based on graphene nanosheet-embedded carbon(GNEC)film,with high-density edges of standing structured graphene nanosheets.The GNEC mask exhibits an excellent hydrophobic ability(water contact angle:157.9°)and an outstanding filtration efficiency with 100%bacterial filtration efficiency(BFE).In addition,the GNEC mask shows the prominent photo-sterilize performance,heating up to 110℃quickly under the solar illumination.These high performances may facilitate the combat against the COVID-19 outbreaks,while the reusable masks help reducing the economic and resource consumption.Zezhou Lin Zheng Wang Xi Zhang Dongfeng Diao 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:0

16Preliminary Study on Optimized Conditions for Dry-cultivated Rice Seedling Planting显示文摘The effects of soil moisture content,pot seedling buried depth,and pot seedling height on the survival rate and growth of dry planted seedlings were researched by field experiment. The results showed that the seedling survival rate and growth were enhanced with the increase of soil moisture content after pot seedling transplanting,but there was no significant difference in the survival rate and growth of seedlings with 85% and 100% of soil moisture content. Pot seedling buried depth was one of the important factors affecting the survival rate,and when the pot seedlings were buried 2 cm deep,the seedlings showed high survival rate and excellent growth. Under the same condition of soil moisture content and buried depth,seedlings with pot seedling height of 15 cm had the best survival rate and growth. 18Patterning of large area nanoscale domains in as-grown epitaxial ferroelectric PbTiO_(3)films显示文摘Effective tuning of nanoscale domain structures provides fundamental basis for controlling and engineering of various functionalities in ferroelectric materials.In this work,we demonstrate the precise patterning of nanoscopic domain structures in as-grown epitaxial PbTiO_(3)(PTO)films by merely introducing an ultrathin pre-patterned doping layer(e.g.,Fe-doped PTO).The doping layer can effectively reverse the interfacial built-in bias,consequent to a reversed initial polarization reorientation in the as-grown film,which makes it possible to transfer the nano-patterns in the doping layer into the domain structure of ferroelectric films.For instance,we have successfully fabricated large area ordered array of nanoscale cylindrical domains(downward polarization)embedded in the matrix domain with opposite polarization(upward polarization)in PTO film.These nanoscale cylinder domains also allow deterministic and reversible erasure and creation induced by biased tip scanning.The results provide an effective pathway for on-demand patterning of large area nanoscale domains in the as-grown films,which may find applications in a wide range of nanoelectronic devices.Luyong Zhang Guo Tian Wenda Yang Dongfeng Zheng Chuanjie Lin Jianbiao Xian Yihang Guo Xingchen Zhang Xiuqin Qiu Lanping Zhang Zhen Fan Deyang Chen Zhipeng Hou Minghui Qin Jun-Ming Liu Xingsen Gao 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,1:0
19Using triple oxygen isotopes and oxygen-argon ratio to quantify ecosystem production in the mixed layer of northern South China Sea slope region显示文摘Quantifying the gross and net production is an essential component of carbon cycling and marine ecosystem studies.Triple oxygen isotope measurements and the O_(2)/Ar ratio are powerful indices in quantifying the gross primary production and net community production of the mixed layer zone,respectively.Although there is a substantial advantage in refining the gas exchange term and water column vertical mixing calibration,application of mixed layer depth history to the gas exchange term and its contribution to reducing indices error are unclear.Therefore,two cruises were conducted in the slope regions of the northern South China Sea in October 2014(autumn)and June 2015(spring).Discrete water samples at Station L07 in the upper 150 m depth were collected for the determination ofδ^(17)0,δ^(18)O,and the O_(2)/Ar ratio of dissolved gases.Gross oxygen production(GOP)was estimated using the triple oxygen isotopes of the dissolved O_(2),and net oxygen production(NOP)was calculated using O_(2)/Ar ratio and O_(2)concentration.The vertical mixing effect in NOP was calibrated via a N_(2)O based approach.GOP for autumn and spring was(169±23)mmol/(m^(2)·d)(by O_(2))and(189±26)mmol/(m^(2)·d)(by O_(2)),respectively.While NOP was 1.5 mmol/(m^(2)·d)(by O_(2))in autumn and 8.2 mmol/(m^(2)·d)(by O_(2))in spring.Application of mixed layer depth history in the gas flux parametrization reduced up to 9.5%error in the GOP and NOP estimations.A comparison with an independent O_(2)budget calculation in the diel observation indicated a26%overestimation in the current GOP,likely due to the vertical mixing effect.Both GOP and NOP in June were higher than those in October.Potential explanations for this include the occurrence of an eddy process in June,which may have exerted a submesoscale upwelling at the sampling station,and also the markedly higher terrestrial impact in June.Zhuoyi Zhu Jun Wang Guiling Zhang Sumei Liu Shan Zheng Xiaoxia Sun Dongfeng Xu Meng Zhou 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,6:0
