| 1 | Vacuum brazing of GH99 superalloy using graphene reinforced BNi-2 composite filler显示文摘A novel graphene reinforced BNi-2 composite filler was developed for brazing GH99 superalloy. The interfacial microstructure of brazed joints was analyzed by field emission scanning electron microscope and a transmission electron microscope. The effects of graphene addition on the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of brazed joints were investigated, and the strengthening mechanism of graphene was analyzed. The results revealed that due to the addition of graphene, M23(C,B)6 compounds were synthesized in the solid solution and brittle boride precipitates near the brazing seam decreased.Graphene was effective in retarding solute atoms diffusion thus impeding the precipitation of borides.Furthermore, the low coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE) of graphene was conducive to relieve stress concentration of the brazed joints during the cooling process. The shear strengths of brazed joints were significantly improved by exerting the strengthening effect of graphene. | 2 | Vertically Aligned Silicon Carbide Nanowires/Boron Nitride Cellulose Aerogel Networks Enhanced Thermal Conductivity and Electromagnetic Absorbing of Epoxy Composites显示文摘With the innovation of microelectronics technology, the heat dissipation problem inside the device will face a severe test. In this work, cellulose aerogel(CA) with highly enhanced thermal conductivity(TC) in vertical planes was successfully obtained by constructing a vertically aligned silicon carbide nanowires(SiC NWs)/boron nitride(BN) network via the ice template-assisted strategy. The unique network structure of SiC NWs connected to BN ensures that the TC of the composite in the vertical direction reaches 2.21 W m^(-1) K^(-1) at a low hybrid filler loading of 16.69 wt%, which was increased by 890% compared to pure epoxy(EP). In addition, relying on unique porous network structure of CA, EP-based composite also showed higher TC than other comparative samples in the horizontal direction. Meanwhile, the composite exhibits good electrically insulating with a volume electrical resistivity about 2.35 × 10^(11) Ω cm and displays excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss of-21.5 dB and a wide effective absorption bandwidth(<-10 dB) from 8.8 to 11.6 GHz. | 3 | H2 strain attenuated live hepatitis A vaccines:protective efficacy in a hepatitis A outbreak显示文摘AIM To investigate the protective efficacy ofH2 strain attenuated live hepatitis A vaccines(H2-strain vaccines)in hepatitis A(HA)outbreaks.METHODS With the permission of theirparents,5551 pre-school and grade 1-3 primaryschool children were inoculated with 1 dose(106.5TCID50)of H2-strain vaccines in anonrandomized,controlled trial conducted inFucheng County,Hebei Province in May 1997.Another 6485 children in the same grades andcompatible in gender and age were enrolled ascontrols.Epidemiological and serological surveywas conducted to evaluate the protectiveefficacy of the vaccines.ELISA was used todetect serum IgM anti-HAV.RESULTS HA outbreak started in early May1998,peaked in the middle of the same month,and lasted about 80 days.Overall 302 HA caseswere found,192(53.58%)were 5-9 years old.One vaccinee and 25 control cases were found tohave hepatitis A,which account for 0.28%(1/356)and 5.92%(25/422)of all vaccinees andcontrols in the 14 villages,respectively.The protective efficacy of vaccines was 95.27%(95% Cl:85.83%-104.72%).In subjects testedfor anti-HAV IgM from 13 villages,1(0.40%)overt and 11(4.06%)asymptomatic HAV caseswere found in 271 vaccinees,but 21(6.69%)ofovert and asymptomatic ones were found in 314controls.CONCLUSION H2 strain vaccines were excellent in preventing overt hepatitis A, but not so effective in preventing asymptomatic hepatitis A virus infection. | 5 | Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system,the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation,this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector,while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant,and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking,while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew,reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating,traditional solid fuels were still dominant,with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas.In some non-typical heating zones,the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth,but in typical heating zones,the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased,except in areas with policy intervention.The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income,higher education,younger age,less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition. | Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,7: | 4 |

| 7 | Practical Polar Code Construction For Degraded Multiple-Relay Networks显示文摘In this paper, based on the characteristics of polar codes, a new decode-and-forward strategy called generalized partial information relaying protocol is proposed for degraded multiple-relay networks with orthogonal receiver components(MRNORCs). In such a protocol, with the help of partial information from previous nodes, each relay node tries to recover the received source message and re-encodes part of the decoded message for transmission to satisfy the decoding requirements for the following relay node or the destination node. In order to construct practical polar codes, the nested structures are developed based on this protocol and the information sets corresponding to the partial messages forwarded are also calculated. The proposed scheme is proved to be capable of achieving the theoretical capacity of the degraded MRN-ORCs while still retains the low-complexity feature of polar codes. We perform simulations to testify the practicability of the proposed scheme and compare polar codes by using successive-cancellation list decoder(SCLD) with traditional low-density parity-check(LDPC) codes. The results showed that 58 plant species were recorded at the airport,belonging to 18 families and 48 genera.Dominant plant species showed seasonal characteristics. Specifically,Ixeris chinensis( Thunb.) Nakai and Lagopsis supina( Steph.) Ik.-Gal. ex Knorr. were the dominant species in spring; Lagopsis supina,Cirsium setosum( Willd.) MB,Plantago asiatica L.,Cynanchum chinense R. Br. and Humulus scandens( Lour.)Merr. were the dominant species in summer; Chloris virgata Sw. and Eleusine indica( L.) Gaertn. were the dominant species in autumn. Quantitative characteristics of the dominant species,including the density,frequency,coverage and height,varied in different seasons. In different seasons,changes in the diversity of plant communities in three sampling points were analyzed. The results indicated that plant communities in summer exhibited the highest diversity and the most uniform distribution. | 13 | Ti-6Al-4V-5Cu synthesized for antibacterial effect in vitro and in vivo via contact sterilization显示文摘Implant-related infection is one of the most catastrophic complications after surgery,since it may trigger osteomyelitis and necessitate reoperation,increasing the pain suffered by and the burden placed on the patient.Producing a new alloy with an antibacterial effect for use as a biomedical material is an urgent requirement.In this article,Ti-6 Al-4 V-5 Cu was synthesized under two different heat treatment schemes(solution temperatures of 850℃and 950℃).Through comprehensive observation of the microstructure,phase,copper ion release,biocompatibility,corrosion resistance and antibacterial effect in vitro and in vivo,it was determined that cell viability and corrosion resistance of Ti-6 Al-4 V-5 Cu was better than Ti-6 Al-4 V.More importantly,the obtained alloy,especially samples treated at 850℃,showed prominent antibacterial ability.Meanwhile,we also found that the main antibacterial mechanism of the alloy was contact sterilization via the extensive precipitation of Ti_(2)Cu instead of Cu ion release,and the content,surface area of Ti_(2)Cu could affect the antibacterial effect.These findings provide a very promising scheme by which to balance the biocompatibility and antibacterial effect of Ti-based,Cu-bearing alloys,which could improve their performance in orthopedic and dental applications. | Duo Xu Tianyu Wang Zhiyuan Lu Yuanqi Wang Bin Sun Shudan Wang Qiang Fu Zhenggang Bi Shuo Geng | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,31: | 1 |

| 18 | Achieving the capacity of half-duplex degraded relay channels using polar coding显示文摘In this paper, a novel transmission protocol based on polar coding is proposed for the half-duplex degraded relay channel. In the proposed protocol, referred to as the partial message relaying, the relay only needs to forward a part of the decoded source message that the destination needs according to the exquisite nested structure of polar codes. Theoretically, it is proved that the scheme can achieve the capacity of the half-duplex relay channel under the decode-and-forward(DF) cooperation strategy while enjoying low encoding/decoding complexity. Practically, in order to minimize the global transmission power, the optimization of the power allocation is performed between the source and the relay by using information theoretic tools. | 19 | Interfacial characteristics in CNTs-AgCuTi systems显示文摘AgCuTi-based composite fillers reinforced with Carbon Nanotubes(CNTs) were prepared by mechanical ball milling and ultrasonic agitation. The morphological features, chemical components, and melting characteristics of the composite fillers with different content of CNTs addition were investigated using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy(FESEM), XRay Diffraction(XRD) and a Differential Scanning Calorimeter(DSC). After being heated at 900 ℃, the microstructure of the composite fillers was examined through FESEM and Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM) to analyze the interfacial characteristics in the AgCuTi-CNTs system.The microstructures of the composite fillers with 0.5 wt% CNTs and 0.1 wt% CNTs were compared. It was found that 0.5 wt% CNTs were favorable for dispersive distribution of the structure.Nano-sized TiC particles formed in the reaction of CNTs with Ti, resulting in the transformation of TiCu;with high Ti content and Ti;Cu;phases to TiCu;phase with low Ti content. Additionally,the microstructure evolution of the composite fillers was studied by changing the ratio of Ti/CNTs.Results showed that CNTs significantly influenced the wettability of the AgCuTi filler.
