1Effects of soil water and nitrogen availability on photosynthesis and water use efficiency of Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings显示文摘The efficient use of water and nitrogen (N) to promote growth and increase yield of fruit trees and crops is well studied.However,little is known about their effects on woody plants growing in arid and semiarid areas with limited water and N availability.To examine the effects of water and N supply on early growth and water use efficiency (WUE) of trees on dry soils,one-year-old seedlings of Robinia pseudoacacia were exposed to three soil water contents (non-limiting,medium drought,and severe drought) as well as to low and high N levels,for four months.Photosynthetic parameters,leaf instantaneous WUE (WUEi) and whole tree WUE (WUEb) were determined.Results showed that,independent of N levels,increasing soil water content enhanced the tree transpiration rate (Tr),stomatal conductance (Gs),intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci),maximum net assimilation rate (Amax),apparent quantum yield (AQY),the range of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) due to both reduced light compensation point and enhanced light saturation point,and dark respiration rate (Rd),resulting in a higher net photosynthetic rate (Pn) and a significantly increased whole tree biomass.Consequently,WUEi and WUEb were reduced at low N,whereas WUE i was enhanced at high N levels.Irrespective of soil water availability,N supply enhanced Pn in association with an increase of Gs and Ci and a decrease of the stomatal limitation value (Ls),while Tr remained unchanged.Biomass and WUEi increased under non-limiting water conditions and medium drought,as well as WUEb under all water conditions;but under severe drought,WUEi and biomass were not affected by N application.In conclusion,increasing soil water availability improves photosynthetic capacity and biomass accumulation under low and high N levels,but its effects on WUE vary with soil N levels.N supply increased Pn and WUE,but under severe drought,N supply did not enhance WUEi and biomass.Xiping Liu Yangyang Fan Junxia Long Ruifeng Wei Roger Kjelgren Chunmei Gong Jun Zhao 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,3:15
2KIF18B promotes tumor progression in osteosarcoma by activating β-catenin显示文摘Objective:Osteosarcoma is a common primary highly malignant bone tumor.Kinesin family member 18B(K1F18B)has been identified as a potential oncogene involved in the development and metastasis of several cancer types.While KIF18B overexpression in osteosarcoma tissue is clearly detected,its specific function in the disease process remains to be established.Methods:K IF18B expression was assessed in osteosarcoma tissues and cells.We additionally evaluated the effects of KIF18B on proliferation,migration,and invasion of osteosarcoma cells,both in vitro and in vivo.Results:Our results showed overexpression of KIF18B in osteosarcoma tissues and cells.Knockdown of K IF18B induced G1/S phase arrest and significantly inhibited proliferation,migration,and invasion of osteosarcoma cells,both in vitro and in vivo.K IF18B regulated P-catenin expression at the transcriptional level by controlling nuclear aggregation of ATF2 and at the post-transcriptional level by interacting with the adenomatous polyposis coli(APC)tumor suppressor gene in osteosarcoma cells.Conclusions:KIF18B plays a carcinogenic role in osteosarcoma by regulating expression ofβ-catenin transcriptionally via decreasing nuclear aggregation of ATF2 or post-transcriptionally through interactions with APC.Our collective findings support the potential utility of KIF18B as a novel prognostic biomarker for osteosarcoma.Tian Gao Ling Yu Zhiwei Fang Jiayong Liu Chujie Bai Shu Li Ruifeng Xue Lu Zhang Zhichao Tan Zhengfu Fan 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,2:7
3Orientation dependent behavior of tensile-creep deformation of hot rolled Ti65 titanium alloy sheet显示文摘The mill products like sheet always have one or more severe textures inevitably,and its effect on mechanical properties is not a negligible issue.The orientation dependent tensile-creep behavior induced by rolling texture of Ti65 titanium alloy sheet has been systematically investigated at 650℃.There are some anisotropic characteristics between TD and RD of Ti65 sheet.The UTS and TYS of TD are higher than RD at 650℃.Besides,the creep endurance time of TD(172.6–174.5 h)is about three times longer than RD(55.6–65.1 h)at 650℃and 240 MPa.Moreover,the grains are inclined to form Texture III■after creep along with TD,but to form Texture I■after creep along with RD.Finally,the crack initiation site is different during creep in TD and RD.The reason for anisotropic properties of tensile and creep has been summarized in two aspects:(i)the change of the SFs(Schmid factors)value between TD and RD;(ii)the difference of creep mechanism between TD(grain boundary sliding)and RD(dislocation slip).Anisotropy of Ti65 sheet should be fully considered to increase structural efficiency in the engineering design and application.Zhixin Zhang Jiangkun Fan Ruifeng Li Hongchao Kou Zhiyong Chen Qingjiang Wang Hailong Zhang Jian Wang Qi Gao Jinshan Li 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16:7
4Zirconium-containing UiO-66 as an efficient and reusable catalyst for transesterification of triglyceride with methanol显示文摘Zirconium-based MOFs of the UiO family have attracted considerable attention due to their high thermal,chemical and mechanical stability. With the aim of further exploring the applications of zirconium-based UiO-66 in acid-catalyzed reactions and elucidating the effects of the defects in UiO-66 materials on their catalytic performances, in this work, a series of zirconium-containing UiO-66 samples were synthesized by varying the synthesis temperatures and BDC/Zr(terephthalic acid/ZrCl_4) ratios in the synthesis system.The synthesized UiO-66 samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), N_2 adsorption-desorption,scanning electron microscopy(SEM), thermogravimetrical analysis(TGA), temperature-programmed desorption of NH_3(NH_3-TPD). Their catalytic performances were investigated in transesterification of tributyrin and soybean oil with methanol. The results showed that UiO-66 samples with different amounts of defects could be successfully prepared by varying the synthesis temperatures and/or the BDC/Zr ratios used in the synthesis system. The catalytic activities of the UiO-66 materials greatly depended on their linker defects and enhanced with the increase of the defect amount. The UiO-66 was an efficient catalyst for transesterification of tributyrin and soybean oil with methanol under mild reaction conditions and its catalytic activity was comparable to other solid acid catalysts reported in the literatures. 5Efficacy of vinorelbine combined with low-dose methotrexate for treatment of inoperable desmoid tumor and prognostic factor analysis显示文摘Objective: To assess the efficacy of conservative chemotherapy for inoperable desmoid tumor(DT) and analyze the prognostic factors.Methods:From November 2008 to April 2016,71 patients of inoperable DT were treated with vinorelbine and low-dose methotrexate in the Department of Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors,Peking University Cancer Hospital&Institute,and enrolled in this retrospective study.The chemotherapy duration is one year.The efficacy of chemotherapy and the prognosis were observed.Results:Of the 71 patients,55% were female.Age of onset varied from 1 to 47 years,and the median age was 14years.Only 11(15.5%)cases suffered primary tumor.The distribution of the site of tumors was:31(43.7%)in the trunk,36(50.7%)in the limbs,and 4(5.6%)in the peritoneal and pelvic cavity.The size of tumor(the maximum diameter)differed from 2 to 37 cm with a mean of 9.3 cm.The median follow-up duration was 28(range,6–87)months.Common side effects included:nausea and vomiting,liver injury,bone marrow suppression and oral ulcers.When the chemotherapy finished,1(1.4%)case achieved complete response,24(33.8%)achieved partial response,37(52.1%)achieved stable disease and 9(12.7%)had progressive disease.The overall response rate was 87.3%.The progression-free survival(PFS)of the participants were from 6 to 87 months,and the 2-,3-and 5-year PFS was 79.9%,68.4% and 36.3%,respectively.No significant difference was identified in PFS in subgroups of gender,age of onset,age of chemotherapy,tumor site and tumor size.Conclusions:For recurrent,inoperable and progressive DT,enough course of chemotherapy with vinorelbine combined with low-dose methotrexate was an optional choice for local control.Shu Li Zhengfu Fan Zhiwei Fang Jiayong Liu Chujie Bai Ruifeng Xue Lu Zhang Tian Gao 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,5:6
6ω-Assisted refinement of α phase and its effect on the tensile properties of a near β titanium alloy显示文摘In this work, the phase transformation sequence during the continuous heating process(3℃/min) was investigated in a near β titanium alloy. The results show that the staring formation of ω phase is about267℃, and the ending precipitation temperature about 386℃ during the heating process. When the heating temperature is greater than 485℃, there are no ω phase detected within the β matrix. Combined with the microstructural characterization, it is found that ω phase facilitates the nucleation of αphase nearby the ω/β interface and has a great effect on the refinement for α phase. As compared with the specimens directly aged, the specimens with ω-assisted refinement of α phase possess high tensile strength, but there is no yield stage detected on their stress-strain curve. 7Dependence of mechanical properties on the microstructure characteristics of a near β titanium alloy Ti-7333显示文摘In this work, the microstructure and the corresponding tensile properties of the rolled Ti-7Mo-3Nb-3Cr-3Al(Ti-7333) alloy before and after the thermal treatments were investigated. The results show that a strong α-fiber texture is developed in the rolled Ti-7333 alloy. The deformed matrix and the texture significantly induce the variant selection of β phase. The high strength of the rolled Ti-7333 alloy is attributed to the <110> texture parallel to the tensile direction and the dispersed α phase within the matrix. After the solution treatment followed by the aging treatment, the texture decreases and the microstructure consists of the equiaxed β grains, the spheroidal α_p phase and various needle-like α variants. Eventually, the alloy could achieve an optimal combination with the strength of about 1450 MPa,the ductility of about 10.5% and a considerable shear strength of about 775 MPa. This balance can be ascribed to the performance of the spheroidal α_p phase and various needle-like α_s variants. 8One-step synthesis of dimethyl ether from syngas on ordered mesoporous copper incorporated alumina显示文摘Ordered mesoporous copper incorporated Al_2O_3(Cu/Al_2O_3) with high Cu dispersion were prepared by a facile solution combustion synthesis method using aluminum nitrate and copper nitrate as oxidants and urea as fuel. It is a facile and green route to synthesize catalysts for dimethyl ether directly from syngas. Cu/Al_2O_3 catalysts were characterized by XRD, N_2 adsorption–desorption, SEM-EDS, and H_2-TPR.The results indicate that the catalysts obtain an ordered mesoporous structure and copper is homogenously dispersed. The mesoporous Cu/Al_2O_3 catalysts were utilized as bifunctional catalysts in syngas to dimethyl ether reaction(STD). The copper content affects the catalytic performance in STD reaction. The CO conversion and DME selectivity of Cu/Al_2O_3 with 15% copper molar ratio achieve 52.9% and 66.1%,respectively. 9Salivary microbiota may predict the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The aim is to explore the predictive value of salivary bacteria for the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Saliva samples were obtained from 178 patients with ESCC and 101 healthy controls, and allocated to screening and verification cohorts, respectively. In the screening phase, after saliva DNA was extracted, 16S rRNA V4 regions of salivary bacteria were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with high-throughput sequencing. Highly expressed target bacteria were screened by Operational Taxonomic Units clustering, species annotation and microbial diversity assessment. In the verification phase, the expression levels of target bacteria identified in the screening phase were verified by absolute quantitative PCR (Q-PCR). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to investigate the predictive value of target salivary bacteria. LEfSe analysis revealed higher proportions of Fusobacterium, Streptococcus and Porphyromonas, and Q-PCR assay showed significantly higher numbers of Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis in patients with ESCC, when compared with healthy controls (all P < 0.05). The areas under the ROC curves for Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis and the combination of the three bacteria for predicting patients with ESCC were 69%, 56.5%, 61.8% and 76.4%, respectively. The sensitivities corresponding to cutoff value were 69.3%, 22.7%, 35.2% and 86.4%, respectively, and the matched specificity were 78.4%, 96.1%, 90.2% and 58.8%, respectively. 14Investigation on Fracture Properties of Single-Flawed Tunnel Model Under Medium-to-Low-Speed Impacts显示文摘Dynamic fractures occur frequently in geophysical processes and engineering applications.It is thus essential to study crack and failure behaviors,such as crack time-to-initiation,crack growth rate and arrest period under dynamic loading.In this study,impact experiments were implemented by utilizing the single-flawed tunnel specimens under drop-hammer impacts.Four brittle materials,i.e.,green sandstone,red sandstone,black sandstone and polymethyl methacrylate,were selected to make single-flawed tunnel specimens.Strain gauges and crack extension gauges were employed to measure the crack extension parameters.The properties of crack growth rate,crack time-to-initiation and arrest period of these four brittle materials were discussed and analyzed.The corresponding numerical simulation was performed by using the commercial software AUTODYN.The numerical results of crack growth rate and crack time-to-initiation agreed with the impact test results.The commercial software ABAQUS was applied to compute the dynamic stress intensity factors.The results show that both the dynamic initiation fracture toughness and the crack growth rate increase with the elastic moduli of these four types of brittle materials under the same loading conditions,whereas the crack time-to-initiation decreases with the increase in elastic moduli of the brittle materials under the same loading conditions.Lei Zhou Zheming Zhu Ruifeng Liu Yong Fan Yuqing Dong Peng Ying 2020Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2020,33,2:1

16Experiment on Tissue Culture Technique of Saposhnikovia divaricata(Turcz.) Schischk显示文摘The study aimed to optimize the induction and differentiation medium by exploreing different tissue culture of Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk. In tissue culture with the root, stem segments, young leaf, cotyledonary node and axillary bud of Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk as explants, a lot of plantleles were obtained and the corresponding plant regeneration-system was established. The results showed that when use MS+1.0 mg · L-1 6-BA +0.2 mg · L-1 NAA as callus induction medium, the cotyledonary node had the highest bourgeon rate, and its callus was better than any others; MS +2 mg · L-1 6-BA +0.4 mg · L-1 NAA was the best adventitious buds induction medium, and the best adventitious buds induced condition was 3% sucrose as carbon source, illumination for 12-14 h · d-1 and pH 5.8. 17Influences on the bandwidth at the drop port of the add/drop filter using a fiber grating coupler by uniform and linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating显示文摘Writing a fiber Bragg grating(FBG) in an optical fiber coupler is a very effective way to implement an optical add/drop filter(OADF).In order to analyze the influences on the bandwidth at the drop port of the OADF using fiber grating-assisted mismatched coupler,a uniform FBG and a linearly chirped FBG were written on the coupler,and two different OADFs were fabricated.The fiber grating is written in a 2×2 mismatched coupler,which is fused and tapered with a standard single mode fiber(SMF) and a high germanium doped photosensitive fiber,by using a 248 nm ultraviolet laser.For the OADF using the uniform FBG,the 3 dB and 20 dB bandwidths are 0.1 nm and 0.3 nm,respectively;for the OADF using the linear chirped FBG,the 3 dB and 20 dB bandwidths are 0.8 nm and 2 nm,respectively.The experimental results meet the theoretical analysis well.The bandwidth at the drop port of the device can be adjusted by adjusting the chirped coefficient of the linearly chirped FBG.FAN LinYong JIANG WeiWei ZHAO RuiFeng LI Jian PEI Li JIAN ShuiSheng 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,6:1

19Facile Synthesis of Cu/Al2O3 with High Copper Dispersion for Direct Synthesis of Dimethyl Ether from Syngas显示文摘The Cu/Al_2O_3 catalysts were prepared by the solution combustion synthesis method using aluminum nitrate and copper nitrate as oxidants and citric acid as fuel. The Cu/Al_2O_3 catalysts were characterized by XRD, N_2 adsorptiondesorption, SEM-EDS, and H_2-TPR techniques. The test results indicated that this catalyst contained mesoporostity and highly dispersed copper. The Cu/Al_2O_3 catalysts were utilized as bifunctional catalysts in the syngas-to-dimethyl ether(STD) process. The CO conversion and DME selectivity were 70.9% and 58.8%, respectively. 20Compensated methods for networked control system with packet drops based on compressed sensing显示文摘Due to unreliable and bandwidth-limited characteristics of communication link in networked control systems,the realtime compensated methods for single-output systems and multioutput systems are proposed in this paper based on the compressed sensing(CS)theory and sliding window technique,by which the estimates of dropping data packets in the feedback channel are obtained and the performance degradation induced by packet drops is reduced.Specifically,in order to reduce the cumulative error caused by the algorithm,the compensated estimates for single-output systems are corrected via the regularization term;considering the process of single-packet transmission,a new sequential CS framework of sensor data streams is introduced to effectively compensate the dropping packet on single-channel of multi-output systems;in presence of the medium access constraints on multi-channel,the communication sequence for scheduling is coupled to the algorithm and the estimates of the multiple sensors for multi-output systems are obtained via the regularization term.Simulation results illustrate that the proposed methods perform well and receive satisfactory performance.FAN Ruifeng YIN Xunhe LIU Zhenfei LAM Hak Keung 2021Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2021,32,6:0
