| 1 | Clinical and biochemical indexes from 2019-nCoV infected patients linked to viral loads and lung injury显示文摘The outbreak of the 2019-nCoV infection began in December 2019 in Wuhan,Hubei province,and rapidly spread to many provinces in China as well as other countries.Here we report the epidemiological,clinical,laboratory,and radiological characteristics,as well as potential biomarkers for predicting disease severity in 2019-nCoV-infected patients in Shenzhen,China.All 12 cases of the 2019-nCoV-infected patients developed pneumonia and half of them developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).The most common laboratory abnormalities were hypoalbuminemia,lymphopenia,decreased percentage of lymphocytes (LYM) and neutrophils (NEU),elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),and decreased CD8 count.The viral load of 2019-nCoV detected from patient respiratory tracts was positively linked to lung disease severity.ALB,LYM,LYM (%),LDH,NEU (%),and CRP were highly correlated to the acute lung injury.Age,viral load,lung injury score,and blood biochemistry indexes,albumin (ALB),CRP,LDH,LYM (%),LYM,and NEU (%),may be predictors of disease severity.Moreover,the Angiotensin Ⅱlevel in the plasma sample from 2019-nCoV infected patients was markedly elevated and linearly associated to viral load and lung injury.Our results suggest a number of potential diagnosis biomarkers and angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) drugs for potential repurposing treatment of 2019-nCoV infection. | Yingxia Liu Yang Yang Cong Zhang Fengming Huang Fuxiang Wang Jing Yuan Zhaoqin Wang Jinxiu Li Jianming Li Cheng Feng Zheng Zhang Lifei Wang Ling Peng Li Chen Yuhao Qin Dandan Zhao Shuguang Tan Lu Yin Jun Xu Congzhao Zhou Chengyu Jiang Lei Liu | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3: | 157 |
| 2 | Ammonium removal pathways and microbial community in GAC-sand dual media filter in drinking water treatment显示文摘A GAC-sand dual media filter(GSF) was devised as an alternative solution for drinking water treatment plant to tackle the raw water polluted by ammonium in place of expensive ozone-GAC processes or bio-pretreatments.The ammonium removal pathways and microbial community in the GSFs were investigated.The concentrations of ammonium,nitrite and nitrate nitrogen were monitored along the filter.Total inorganic nitrogen(TIN) loss occurred during the filtration.For 1 mg ammonium removal,the TIN loss was as high as 0.35 mg,DO consumption was 3.06 mg,and alkalinity consumption was 5.55 mg.It was assumed that both nitrification and denitrification processes occur in the filters to fit the TIN loss and low DO consumption.During the filtration,nitritation,nitrification and nitritation-anaerobic ammonium oxidation processes probably occur,while traditional nitrification and denitrification and simultaneous nitrification and denitrification processes may occur.In the GSFs,Nitrosomonas and Nitrospira are likely to be involved in nitrification processes,while Novosphingobium,Comamonadaceae and Oxalobacteraceae may be involved in denitrification processes. | Shuo Feng Shuguang Xie Xiaojian Zhang Zhiyu Yang Wei Ding Xiaobin Liao Yuanyuan Liu Chao Chen | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,9: | 14 |
| 3 | Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi alter the response of growth and nutrient uptake of snap bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.) to O_3显示文摘The effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF) Glomus mosseae on the responses to elevated O3 in growth and nutrition of snap bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.cv Guangzhouyuan) were investigated.Exposure was conducted in growth chambers by using three O3 concentrations(20(CF),80(CFO1) and 120 nL/L(CFO2);8 hr/day for 75 days).Results showed that elevated O3 slightly impacted overall mycorrhizal colonization,but significantly decreased the proportional frequency of hypha and increased the proportional frequency of spores and vesicles,suggesting that O3 had significant effects on mycorrhizal structure.Elevated O3 significantly decreased yield,dry mass and nutrient contents(N,P,K,Ca and Mg) in both non-mycorrhizal and mycorrhizal plants.However,significant interactive effects were found in most variables due to that the reduction by O3 in the mycorrhizal plants was less than that in the non-mycorrhizal plants.Additionally,AMF increased the concentrations of N,P,Ca,and Mg in shoot and root.It can be concluded that AMF alleviated detrimental effects of increasing O3 on host plant through improving plant nutrition and growth. | Shuguang Wang Zhaozhong Feng Xiaoke Wang Wenliang Gong | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,6: | 5 |
| 4 | Design of heat exchanger network based on entransy theory显示文摘The heat exchanger network(HEN) synthesis problem based on entransy theory is analyzed. According to the characteristics of entransy representation of thermal potential energy, the entransy dissipation represents the irreversibility of the heat transfer process, the temperature difference determines the entransy dissipation, and four HEN design steps based on entransy theory are put forward. The present study shows how it is possible to set energy targets based on entransy and achieve them with a network of heat exchangers by an example of heat exchanger network design for four streams. In order to verify the correctness of the heat exchanger networks design method based on entransy theory, the synthesis of the HEN for the diesel hydrogenation unit is studied. Using the heat exchange networks design method based on entransy theory, the HEN obtained is consistent with energy targets. | 8 | Influence of Deposition Pressure on Properties of ZnO:Al Films Fabricated by RF Magnetron Sputtering显示文摘Transparent conductive aluminum doped zinc oxide(ZnO:Al,AZO) films were prepared on glass substrates by rf(radio frequency) magnetron sputtering from ZnO: 3wt% Al_2O_3 ceramic target. The effect of argon gas pressure(PAr) was investigated with small variations to understand the influence on the electrical, optical and structural properties of the films. Structural examinations using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) showed that the ZnO:Al thin films were(002) oriented. The resistivity values were measured by four-point probe with the lowest resistivity of 5.76×10^(-4) Ω?cm(sheet resistance=9.6 Ω/sq. for a thickness=600 nm) obtained at the PAr of 0.3 Pa. The transmittance was achieved from ultravioletvisible(UV-VIS) spectrophotometer, 84% higher than that in the visible region for all AZO thin films. | 9 | Review of drought impacts on carbon cycling in grassland ecosystems显示文摘Grasslands play a key role in both carbon and water cycles.In semi-arid and arid grassland areas,the frequency and intensity of droughts are increasing.However,the influence of a drought on grassland carbon cycling is still unclear.In this paper,the relationship between drought and grassland carbon cycling is described from the perspective of drought intensity,frequency,duration,and timing.Based on a large amount of literature,we determined that drought is one of the most prominent threats to grassland carbon cycling,although the impacts of different drought conditions are uncertain.The effects of a drought on grassland carbon cycling are more or less altered by drought-induced disturbances,whether individually or in combination.Additionally,a new conceptual model is proposed to better explain the mechanism of droughts on grassland carbon cycling.At present,evaluations of the effects of droughts on grassland carbon cycling are mainly qualitative.A data fusion model is indispensable for evaluating the fate of carbon cycling in a sustainable grassland system facing global change.In the future,multi-source data and models,based on the development of single and multiple disturbance experiments at the ecosystem level,can be utilized to systematically evaluate drought impacts on grassland carbon cycling at different timescales.Furthermore,more advanced models should be developed to address extreme drought events and their consequences on energy,water,and carbon cycling. | Tianjie LEI Jie FENG Cuiying ZHENG Shuguang LI Yang WANG Zhitao WU Jingxuan LU Guangyuan KAN Changliang SHAO Jinsheng JIA Hui CHENG | 2020 | Frontiers of Earth Science2020,14,2: | 2 |

It was found that hydrostatic pressure made their phase transition temperature Tc and the peak temperature Tm decreased, and the frequency dispersion and relaxor behavior enhanced. In these disorder systems of composite pervoskite structures, there appeared polar clusters or nanodomains. [Method]The dead cases of calf diarrhea were collected from a large-scale beef cattle farm,and the isolated pathogen was conducted molecular identification,serological identification,drug sensitivity test,and mice pathogenicity test,respectively. Targeted therapy was undertaken thereafter to herds. [Result] One strain of bovine pathogenic E. coli,serotype O101 with strong multidrug resistance and high pathogenicity to mice,was successfully isolated.
