1Spatial and Temporal Distributions and Sources of Anthropogenic NMVOCs in the Atmosphere of China:A Review显示文摘As the key precursors of O_(3),anthropogenic non-methane volatile organic compounds(NMVOCs)have been studied intensively.This paper performed a meta-analysis on the spatial and temporal variations of NMVOCs,their roles in photochemical reactions,and their sources in China,based on published research.The results showed that both nonmethane hydrocarbons(NMHCs)and oxygenated VOCs(OVOCs)in China have higher mixing ratios in the eastern developed cities compared to those in the central and western areas.Alkanes are the most abundant NMHCs species in all reported sites while formaldehyde is the most abundant among the OVOCs.OVOCs have the highest mixing ratios in summer and the lowest in winter,which is opposite to NMHCs.Among all NMVOCs,the top eight species account for 50%−70%of the total ozone formation potential(OFP)with different compositions and contributions in different areas.In devolved regions,OFP-NMHCs are the highest in winter while OFP-OVOCs are the highest in summer.Based on positive matrix factorization(PMF)analysis,vehicle exhaust,industrial emissions,and solvent usage in China are the main sources for NMHCs.However,the emission trend analysis showed that solvent usage and industrial emissions will exceed vehicle exhaust and become the two major sources of NMVOCs in near future.Based on the meta-analysis conducted in this work,we believe that the spatio-temporal variations and oxidation mechanisms of atmospheric OVOCs,as well as generating a higher spatial resolution of emission inventories of NMVOCs represent an area for future studies on NMVOCs in China.Fanglin WANG Wei DU Shaojun LV Zhijian DING Gehui WANG 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7:4
2Surfactants Mediated Synthesis of Highly Crystalline Thin Films of Imine-Linked Covalent Organic Frameworks on Water Surface显示文摘Imine-linked covalent organic frameworks(COFs)have attracted extensive attention due to designable structures,tunable properties,and excellent thermal and chemical stability.They were typically obtained as insoluble and unprocessable powders,which seriously limits their full promise.Progress has been made in the synthesis of thin films of imine-linked COFs by interfacial synthesis.However,the synthesis of highly crystalline,self-supporting thin films of COFs remains challenging.Here,we employed a surfactants-mediated method to synthesize such films at an air-water interface,showed the films could be transferred onto arbitrary substrates on demand,and demonstrated the generality of the methodology with two different COFs.We found that the length of hydrophobic segments of surfactants played a key role in determination of the crystallinity and single crystalline domain size of the films.This work provides a feasible strategy to generate highly crystalline thin films of COFs.Zhaowei Ou Zihao Liang Xin Dong Fanglin Tan Li Gong Pei Zhao Honglei Wang Wei Liu Zhikun Zheng 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,12:2
3Ammonia in urban atmosphere can be substantially reduced by vehicle emission control:A case study in Shanghai, China显示文摘To investigate the impact of emission controls on ammonia(NH_(3)) pollution in urban atmosphere, observation on NH_(3)(1 hr interval) was performed in Shanghai before, during and after the 2019 China International Import Expo (CIIE) event, along with measurements on inorganic ions, organic tracers and stable nitrogen isotope compositions of ammonium in PM_(2.5). NH_(3)during the CIIE period was 6.5±1.0μg/m^(3), which is 41% and 32% lower than that before and after the event, respectively. Such a decrease was largely ascribed to the emission controls in nonagricultural sources, of which contribution for measured NH_(3)in control phase abated by ~20% compared to that during uncontrol period. Molecular compositions of PAHs and hopanes further suggested a dominant role of the reduced vehicle emissions in the urban NH_(3)abatement during the CIIE period. 6Research Advances in Allelopathy of Plants in Arid Desert Regions of Northwest China显示文摘To investigate allelopathy of plants in desert ecosystems,related research achievements obtained in recent years,reported allelopathic plants,allelochemicals and releasing ways of alleochemicalds were summarized,and then the key problems of research into allelopathic plants in desert ecosystems were indicated. It was considered that the research of allelopathy of plants in desert regions has just started in China,and plants with allelopathic potential were found in the Compositae,Leguminosae,Rosaceae,Scrophulariaceae and Gramineae; plants in desert regions release allelochemicals mainly via natural volatilization,which is closely related to their growing environment; allelochemicals such as alkaloids,flavonoids,terpenoids have been identified. 8Aqueous Synthesis of Covalent Organic Frameworks as Photocatalysts for Hydrogen Peroxide Production显示文摘Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)are crystalline porous polymers with designable structures and properties.Their crystallization typically relies on trialand-error experimentation involving harsh conditions,including organic solvents,presenting significant obstacles for rational design and large-scale production.Herein,we present a liquid crystal-directed synthesis methodology and its implementation for up to gram-scale production of highly crystalline COFs in water and air.It is compatible with monomers of different structures,shape,size,length of side chains,and electron-donating,electron-accepting,and heterocyclic substitutions near reactive sites.Seventeen types of donor-acceptor two-dimensional COFs including four types of new ones and a three-dimensional COF with a yield of up to 94%were demonstrated,showing great generality of the method.The as-synthesized donor-acceptor COFs are organic semiconductors and contain macropores besides intrinsic mesopores which make them attractive catalysts.The production of H_(2)O_(2)under visible light in water was studied and the structure-property relationships were revealed.The production rate reached 4347μmol h^(−1)gcat^(−1),which is about 467%better than that of the benchmark photocatalyst g-C_(3)N_(4).This study will inspire the mild synthesis and scale-up of a wide spectrum of COFs and organic semiconductors as efficient catalysts,promote their structure-property investigation,and boost their applications.Fanglin Tan Yuanyuan Zheng Zhipeng Zhou Honglei Wang Xin Dong Jing Yang Zhaowei Ou Haoyuan Qi Wei Liu Zhikun Zheng Xudong Chen 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,12:1

16Establishment of a TLC Identification Method for Ensete wilsonii显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to establish a TLC identification method for Ensete wilsonii.[Methods]Usingβ-sitosterol as the reference,the effects of preparation methods of test solutions,developing solvents,developing distances and color developing agents on TLC analysis were investigated,and the best TLC conditions for E.wilsonii were determined.[Results]The test solution prepared with 90%methanol solvent was dotted on TLC silica gel G plate,and developed with dichloromethane-toluene-methanol=10:5:1.5 as the developing solvent.Then the plate was sprayed with 10%sulfuric acid ethanol solution,and dried with hot blast for color development.Finally,the plate was examined under an ultraviolet lamp at 365 nm.The TLC results of E.wilsonii obtained showed good separation and color development effect,and the spots were clear and characteristic.[Conclusions]This method is safe,specific,and easy to operate,and can be used as a TLC identification method for E.wilsonii.Yongjing SU Ao XIE Wenwen LIANG Fanglin ZENG Haicheng WEN Wei WEI 2024Plant Diseases and Pests2024,15,1:0
17RIPK3 promotes hantaviral replication by restricting JAK-STAT signaling without triggering necroptosis显示文摘Hantaan virus(HTNV)is a rodent-borne virus that causes hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS),resulting in a high mortality rate of 15%.Interferons(IFNs)play a critical role in the anti-hantaviral immune response,and IFN pretreatment efficiently restricts HTNV infection by triggering the expression of a series of IFNstimulated genes(ISGs)through the Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription 1(JAK-STAT)pathway.However,the tremendous amount of IFNs produced during late infection could not restrain HTNV replication,and the mechanism remains unclear.Here,we demonstrated that receptor-interacting protein kinase 3(RIPK3),a crucial molecule that mediates necroptosis,was activated by HTNV and contributed to hantavirus evasion of IFN responses by inhibiting STAT1 phosphorylation.RNA-seq analysis revealed the upregulation of multiple cell death-related genes after HTNV infection,with RIPK3 identified as a key modulator of viral replication.RIPK3 ablation significantly enhanced ISGs expression and restrained HTNV replication,without affecting the expression of pattern recognition receptors(PRRs)or the production of type I IFNs.Conversely,exogenously expressed RIPK3 compromised the host's antiviral response and facilitated HTNV replication.RIPK3^(-/-)mice also maintained a robust ability to clear HTNV with enhanced innate immune responses.Mechanistically,we found that RIPK3 could bind STAT1 and inhibit STAT1 phosphorylation dependent on the protein kinase domain(PKD)of RIPK3 but not its kinase activity.Overall,these observations demonstrated a noncanonical function of RIPK3 during viral infection and have elucidated a novel host innate immunity evasion strategy utilized by HTNV.Yue Si Haijun Zhang Ziqing Zhou Xudong Zhu Yongheng Yang He Liu Liang Zhang Linfeng Cheng Kerong Wang Wei Ye Xin Lv Xijing Zhang Wugang Hou Gang Zhao Yingfeng Lei Fanglin Zhang Hongwei Ma 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,5:0

19Particulate Amines in the Background Atmosphere of the Yangtze River Delta,China:Concentration,Size Distribution,and Sources显示文摘Amines are important for new particle formation and subsequent growth in the atmosphere.Consequently,the processes involved are receiving more attention in recent years.Here,we conduct a field observation in order to investigate the atmospheric particulate amines at a background site in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD)during the summer of 2018.Four amines in PM_(2.5),i.e.,methylamine(MA),dimethylamine(DMA),diethylamine(DEA),and trimethylamine(TMA),were collected,twice daily and analyzed.During the campaign,our measurements found the concentrations of MA,DMA,DEA,and TMA of 15.0±15.0,6.3±6.9,20.4±30.1,and 4.0±5.9 ng m^-(3),respectively,and the four amines correlated well with each other.The concentration of amines appear to be independent of whether they were collected during the day or night.Both MA and DMA exhibited a bimodal size distribution that had peaks at 0.67 and 1.1μm,suggesting amines preferably distribute on submicron particles.Boundary layer height(BLH),relative humidity,and pH of aerosols were found have a negative relationship with amines,while aerosol liquid water content(ALWC)was found to have a positive relationship with amines.The PMF(positive matrix factorization)source apportionment results showed that the main source of amines in Chongming Island was of anthropogenic origin such as industrial and biomass emission,followed by marine sources including sea salt and marine biogenic sources.Given that the YRD region is still suffering from complex atmospheric pollution and that the knowledge on aerosol amines is still limited,more field studies are in urgent need for a better understanding of the pollution characteristics of amines.Wei DU Xinpei WANG Fengqin YANG Kaixu BAI Can WU Shijie LIU Fanglin WANG Shaojun LV Yubao CHEN Jinze WANG Wenliang LIU Lujun WANG Xiaoyong CHEN Gehui WANG 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7:0
20STING strengthens host anti-hantaviral immunity through an interferon-independent pathway显示文摘Hantaan virus(HTNV),the prototype virus of hantavirus,could escape innate immunity by restraining type I interferon(IFN)responses.It is largely unknown whether there existed other efficient anti-hantaviral tactics in host cells.Here,we demonstrate that the stimulator of interferon genes(STING)strengthens the host IFNindependent anti-hantaviral immunity.HTNV infection activates RIG-I through IRE1-XBP 1-mediated ER stress,which further facilitates the subcellular translocation and activation of STING.During this process,STING triggers cellular autophagy by interacting with Rab7A,thus restricting viral replication.To note,the anti-hantaviral effects of STING are independent of canonical IFN signaling.Additionally,neither application of the pharmacological antagonist nor the agonist targeting STING could improve the outcomes of nude mice post HTNV challenge in vivo.However,the administration of plasmids exogenously expressing the mutant C-terminal tail(ΔCTT)STING,which would not trigger the type I IFN responses,protected the nude mice from lethal HTNV infection.In summary,our research revealed a novel antiviral pathway through the RIG-I-STING-autophagy pathway,which offered novel therapeutic strategies against hantavirus infection.Kerong Wang Jian Zhang Yongheng Yang Yue Si Ziqing Zhou Xudong Zhu Sushan Wu He Liu Hui Zhang Liang Zhang Linfeng Cheng Wei Ye Xin Lv Yingfeng Lei Xijing Zhang Shilin Cheng Lixin Shen Fanglin Zhang Hongwei Ma 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,4:0
