| 1 | Origin of Tafoni in the Late Cretaceous Aeolian Sandstones,Danxiashan UNESCO Global Geopark,South China显示文摘Tafoni occur generally in granular rocks around the world, but their origin remains controversial. In this study,the roles of lithology, micro–climate, and organism in tafoni development are investigated in the Danxiashan UNESCO Global Geopark of South China. The Jinshiyan Temple and Luyitang sites along the Jinjiang River are chosen to conduct tafoni morphometry, bedrock petrography, and micro–climate analyses. The research methods used in this study include field observations and measurements, Voronoi diagrams, polarizing microscopic and scanning electron microscopic(SEM)image analysis, and meteorological detection. The tafoni are mostly 2–10 cm in length and elliptical in shape. The Late Cretaceous Jinshiyan sandstones are characterized by a grain–to–grain contact fabric and moderate sorting with a high proportion of soluble grains and cements. The Voronoi diagrams developed through the Arc GIS software are largely consistent with the tafoni openings. Moreover, owing to exposure to solar insolation, the external temperature values are higher than the internal ones, while the external relative humidity values are lower than the internal ones. Therefore, the permeable Jinshiyan sandstones are fundamental for tafoni development, while the abundant moisture from the Jinjiang River and frequent rains is favorable for salt weathering in tandem with biological activities. | 2 | Acoustic experimental study of two types of rock from the Tibetan Plateau under the condition of freeze-thaw cycles显示文摘Under the condition of freeze-thaw cycles,two types of rocks(granite and andesite),used as slope protection for the Qinghai-Tibet Railway,were tested according to the special climatic conditions in the Tibetan Plateau,and their various damage processes in appearance were carefully observed.Observation results show that damage of andesite was more serious than that of granite.Using an acoustic instrument,ultrasonic velocity was tested.The changing trends of velocity with the number of freeze-thaw cycles were analyzed,and the freeze-thaw cycle damaging the physical and mechanical properties of rocks can be seen.According to the changing trends of ultrasonic velocity with the number of freeze-thaw cycles,mechanical parameters of rocks,such as dynamic elasticity modulus,Poisson's ratio,and dynamic bulk modulus were analyzed.It is found that they all have declining trends as the number of freeze-thaw cycles increases,and in particular,when the cycle number reaches a certain extent,the Poisson's ratio of rocks begins to become negative. | Hua Liu FuJun Niu ZhiYing Xu ZhanJu Lin Jian Xu | 2012 | Research in Cold and Arid Regions2012,4,1: | 10 |
| 3 | Bamboo Leaf and Pollen Fossils from the Late Miocene of Eastern Zhejiang,China and their Phytogeological Significance显示文摘Fossil bamboo leaves and pollen from Upper Miocene deposits of the Shengxian Formation in Tiantai and Ninghai counties,eastern Zhejiang,China represent a rare record in Asia.The distinctive pseudopetiole and parallel venation of the leaf blades and the clearly thickened annulus of the pollen aperture place them in the subfamily Bambusoideae.Morphological analysis supports the determination of these fossil leaves as belonging to the genus Bambusium and two new species are described.Bambusium latipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly wide pseudopetiole of 0.23 cm in width and 0.40 cm in length,several vascular bundles on parallel veins,and 5–8 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Bambusium longipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly long pseudopetiole of 0.60 cm in length and 0.10 cm in width,several vascular bundles on the pseudopetiole,and 6 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Pollen grains from the same layer provide additional evidence of bamboos.They are characterized by 32.0–51.0 μm in diameter,a round pore 3.0–4.0 μm in diameter with a broad thickened annulus 2.5–3.5 μm around,and several conspicuous secondary folds on the exine surface.The morphological analysis leads to their assignment to Graminidites bambusoides Stuchlik.These fossils are important for the study of bamboo phytogeography in China.They demonstrate that there were bamboos growing in southeastern China during the Late Miocene and that bamboos in Zhejiang begin to diversify no later than the Late Miocene.In combination with bamboo fossils from other places,it seems that bamboos had a wide distribution across southern China during the Miocene,ranging from southwestern Yun'nan to southeastern Zhejiang. | WANG Qiujun MA Fujun YANG Yi DONG Junling WANG Haofei LI Ruiyun XU Xiaohui SUN Bainian | 2014 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,4: | 7 |
| 4 | β-Ga_2O_3 thin film grown on sapphire substrate by plasmaassisted molecular beam epitaxy显示文摘Monoclinic gallium oxide(Ga_2O_3) has been grown on(0001) sapphire(Al_2O_3) substrate by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PA-MBE). The epitaxial relationship has been confirmed to be [010]( 2ˉ01) β-Ga_2O_3||[ 011ˉ0](0001)Al_2O_3 via in-situ reflection high energy electron diffraction(RHEED) monitoring and ex-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD) measurement. Crystalline quality is improved and surface becomes flatter with increasing growth temperature, with a best full width at half maximum(FWHM) of XRD ω-rocking curve of( 2ˉ01) plane and root mean square(RMS) roughness of 0.68° and 2.04 nm for the sample grown at 730 °C,respectively. | 5 | Over 16.7% efficiency of ternary organic photovoltaics by employing extra PC71BM as morphology regulator显示文摘Ternary organic photovoltaics(OPVs)are fabricated with PBDB-T-2 Cl:Y6(1:1.2,wt/wt)as the host system and extra PC71BM as the third component.The PBDB-T-2 Cl:Y6 based binary OPVs exhibit a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 15.49%with a short circuit current(JSC)of 24.98 mA cm^-2,an open circuit voltage(VOC)of 0.868 V and a fill factor(FF)of 71.42%.A 16.71%PCE is obtained in the optimized ternary OPVs with PBDB-T-2 Cl:Y6:PC71BM(1:1.2:0.2,wt/wt)active layer,resulting from the synchronously improved JSC of 25.44 mA cm^-2,FF of 75.66%and the constant VOCof 0.868 V.The incorporated PC71BM may prefer to mix with Y6 to finely adjust phase separation,domain size and molecular arrangement in ternary active layers,which can be confirmed from the characterization on morphology,2 D grazing incidence small and wide-angle X-ray scattering,as well as Raman mapping.In addition,PC71BM may prefer to mix with Y6 to form efficient electron transport channels,which should be conducive to charge transport and collection in the optimized ternary OPVs.This work provides more insight into the underlying reasons of the third component on performance improvement of ternary OPVs,indicating ternary strategy should be an efficient method to optimize active layers for synchronously improving photon harvesting,exciton dissociation and charge transport,while keeping the simple cell fabrication technology. | Jinhua Gao Jian Wang Qiaoshi An Xiaoling Ma Zhenghao Hu Chunyu Xu Xiaoli Zhang Fujun Zhang | 2020 | Science China Chemistry2020,63,1: | 4 |

| 8 | Approaching 18%efficiency of ternary organic photovoltaics with wide bandgap polymer donor and well compatible Y6:Y6-1O as acceptor显示文摘A series of ternary organic photovoltaics(OPVs)are fabricated with one wide bandgap polymer D18-Cl as donor,and well compatible Y6 and Y6-1O as acceptor.The open-circuit-voltage(V_(OC))of ternary OPVs is monotonously increased along with the incorporation of Y6-1O,indicating that the alloy state should be formed between Y6 and Y6-1O due to their excellent compatibility.The energy loss can be minimized by incorporating Y6-1 O,leading to the V_(OC)improvement of ternary OPVs.By finely adjusting the Y6-1O content,a power conversion efficiency of 17.91%is achieved in the optimal ternary OPVs with 30 wt%Y6-1O in acceptors,resulting from synchronously improved short-circuit-current density(JSC)of 25.87 mA cm^(-2),fill factor(FF)of 76.92%and V_(OC)of 0.900 V in comparison with those of D18-Cl:Y6 binary OPVs.The JSC and FF improvement of ternary OPVs should be ascribed to comprehensively optimal photon harvesting,exciton dissociation and charge transport in ternary active layers.The more efficient charge separation and transport process in ternary active layers can be confirmed by the magnetophotocurrent and impedance spectroscopy experimental results,respectively.This work provides new insight into constructing highly efficient ternary OPVs with well compatible Y6 and its derivative as acceptor. | Xiaoling Ma Anping Zeng Jinhua Gao Zhenghao Hu Chunyu Xu Jae Hoon Son Sang Young Jeong Caixia Zhang Mengyang Li Kai Wang He Yan Zaifei Ma Yongsheng Wang Han Young Woo Fujun Zhang | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,8: | 3 |

| 10 | Ultrathin,elastic,and self-adhesive nanofiber bio-tape:An intraoperative drug-loading module for ureteral stents with localized and controlled drug delivery properties for customized therapy显示文摘During the postoperative management of urinary diseases,oral or intravenous administration of drugs and implanting ureteral stents are usually required,making localized drug delivery by ureteral stent a precise and effective medication strategy.In the traditional drug loading method,the drug was premixed in the implants in production lines and the versatility of drugs was restricted.However,the complex situation in the urinary system fails the possibility of finding a“one fits all”medication plan,and the intraoperative drug-loading of implants is highly desired to support customized therapy.Here,we designed an ultrathin(8μm),elastic,and self-adhesive nanofiber bio-tape(NFBT)that can easily encapsulate drugs on the stent surface for controllable localized drug delivery.The NFBT exhibited high binding strength to a ureteral stent,a sustained release over 7 d in PBS for hydrophilic drug,and a zero-order release curve over 28 days for the hydrophobic drug nitrofurantoin(NFT).Further in vivo experiments using a porcine ureteral tract infection model demonstrated that NFBT loaded with NFT could significantly reduce the bacterial concentration in urine.The total amount of NFT delivered by the NFBT was about 2.68 wt%of the recommended dose for the systemic administration. | Liheng Gao Mingxi Xu Wenshuo Zhao Ting Zou Fujun Wang Jun Da Yiwei Wang Lu Wang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,12: | 2 |

| 12 | Highly sensitive,sub-microsecond polymer photodetectors for blood oxygen saturation testing显示文摘Bottom surface of active layers and interface of indium tin oxide(ITO)electrodes and active layers play a crucial role in determining the performance of polymer photodetectors with photomultiplication(PM-PPDs).The interfacial trapped electron distribution closing to ITO electrodes will determine spectral response range and external quantum efficiency(EQE)of PMPPDs.The bottom interface is more sensitive than top interface when light is coming from the ITO side,and the larger density of generated charge on the bottom interfaces will induce interfacial band more bending for efficient charge tunneling injection.Highly sensitive and sub-microsecond PM-PPDs are achieved with PMBBDT:Y6(100:7,w/w)as active layers under forward bias,yielding EQE of 18,700%at 320 nm,21,700%at 600 nm and 16,400%at 810 nm under a bias of 7 V,respectively,as well as fast response time of 79μs.The high EQE of the PM-PPDs is attributed to efficient hole tunneling injection from ITO electrode under forward bias.The electron traps closing to ITO electrode will be quickly filled up when light is coming from ITO side,leading to interfacial band more bending for hole tunneling injection.Importantly,the PM-PPDs is performed to measure heart rate(HR)and blood oxygen saturation(SpO_(2)),and the measured data by the PM-PPDs are very similar with those obtained by commercial photodetectors. | Zijin Zhao Baiqiao Liu Changlin Xie Yao Ma Jian Wang Ming Liu Kaixuan Yang Yunhua Xu Jian Zhang Weiwei Li Liang Shen Fujun Zhang | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,8: | 2 |
| 13 | Luminescent and photovoltaic properties of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-bithiophene) in organic electronic devices显示文摘We studied the luminescent and photovoltaic properties of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-bithiophene)(F8T2) based on ITO/PEDOT:PSS/F8T2/Bphen/LiF(0 or 1 nm)/Al and ITO/PEDOT:PSS/F8T2:PCBM/Bphen/Al.A stable and bright yellow emission was obtained from polymer F8T2,and the electroluminescence power reached 45 ?W at a 15 V driving voltage.Polymer F8T2 shows a broad absorption band from 400 to 500 nm,and has a shorter absorption edge at about 560 nm compared to that of the typical electron donor P3HT(650 nm).The photoluminescence quenching of F8T2 occurs with only a small fraction of blended PCBM due to the effective exciton dissociation at the interface between F8T2 and PCBM.Polymer solar cells(PSCs) using F8T2:PCBM as the active layer show a low power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 0.10% with an open circuit voltage(Voc) of 0.91 V and short circuit current density(Jsc) of 0.23 mA/cm2.The PSCs using F8T2:P3HT:PCBM as the active layer have a Voc of 0.85 V and Jsc of 3.02 mA/cm2,improving the PCE by about 0.90%.We attribute the improved cell performance to the higher number of photons harvested by P3HT molecules. | XU XiaoWei ZHU EnWei BIAN LinYi WANG ZiXuan WANG Jin ZHUO ZuLiang WANG Jian ZHANG FuJun TANG WeiHua | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,9: | 2 |
| 14 | Low-Voltage Activating, Fast Responding Electro-thermal Actuator Based on Carbon Nanotube Film/PDMS Composites显示文摘The electro-thermal actuators(ETA)are smart devices that can convert electric energy into mechanical energy under electro-heating stimulation,showing great potential in the fields of soft robotics,artificial muscle and aerospace component.In this study,to build a low-voltage activating,fast responding ETA,a robust and flexible carbon nanotube film(CNTF)with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity was adopted as the conductive material.Then,an asymmetric bilayer structured ETA was manufactured by coating a thin layer of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)with high coefficient of thermal expansion(9.3×10^(-4)℃^(−1)),low young’s modulus(2.07 MPa)on a thin CNTF(~11μm).The as-produced CNTF/PDMS composite ETA exhibited a large deformation(bending angle~324°)and high electro heating performance(351℃)at a low driving voltage of 8 V within~12 s.The actuated movement and the generated heat could be controlled by adjusting the driving voltages and showed almost the same values in 20 cycles.Furthermore,the influences of the PDMS thickness and driving voltage on CNTF/PDMS composite ETA performance were systematically investigated.The CNTF/PDMS soft robotic hand which can lift 5.1 times and crab 1.3 times of its weight demonstrated its potential capability. | Mohamed Amine Aouraghe Zhou Mengjie Yiping Qiu Xu Fujun | 2021 | Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,1: | 2 |
