| 2 | Urban-rural disparities in mild cognitive impairment and its functional subtypes among community- dwelling older residents in central China显示文摘background Substantial variations in the prevalence of mild cognitive impairment(MCI)and its subtypes have been reported,although mostly in geographically defined developed countries and regions.Less is known about MCI and its subtypes in rural areas of less developed central China.Aims The study aimed to compare the prevalence of MCI and its subtypes in residents aged 65 years or older in urban and rural areas of Hubei Province,China.Methods Participants aged 65 years or older were recruited between 2018 and 2019.Inperson structured interviews and clinical and neuropsychological assessments were performed at city health community centres and township hospitals.results Among 2644 participants without dementia,735 had MCI,resulting in a prevalence of 27.8%for total MCI,20.9%for amnestic MCI(aMCI)and 6.9%for non-amnestic MCI(naMCI).The prevalence of MCI in urban and rural areas was 20.2%and 44.1%,respectively.After adjusting for demographic factors,the prevalence of total MCI,aMCI and naMCI differed significantly between rural and urban areas(adjusted odds ratio(OR)2.10,1.44 and 3.76,respectively).Subgroup analysis revealed an association between rural socioeconomic and lifestyle disadvantage and MCI and its subtypes.Conclusions Our findings suggest that the prevalence of MCI among urban residents in central China is consistent with that in other metropolis areas,such as Shanghai,but the prevalence in rural areas is twice that in urban areas.Prospective studies and dementia prevention in China should focus on rural areas. | Dan Liu Lin Li Lina An Guirong Cheng Cong Chen Mingjun Zou Bo Zhang Xuguang Gan Lang Xu Yangming Ou Qingming Wu Ru Wang Yan Zeng | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,5: | 3 |

| 6 | Transcriptomic analysis reveals the promotion of lymph node metastasis by Helicobacter pylori infection via upregulating chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 expression in gastric carcinoma显示文摘Gastric carcinoma (GC) progression is mainly caused by local aggression and lymph node metastasis. However, some patients with early T-stage disease have lymph node metastasis, whereas some patients with late T-stage disease do not have lymph node metastasis, which indicates that invasion and metastasis are not always sequential in some GC patients. In the present study, the data of 101 GC cases were acquired from TCGA and divided into T-late-N-negative and T-early-N-positive groups according to pathological stages. A total of 338 genes were identified as differential genes between the T-late-N-negative and T-early-N-positive groups. GSEA showed that epithelial cell signaling in the Helicobacter pylori (HP ) infection pathway was enriched in the T-early-N-positive group. MB staining indicated that the HP infection rate was 63% (39/62) in N-positive patients compared to 42% (16/38) in N-negative patients. To investigate the potential mechanism, we focused on the gene chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 (CXCR2), which was not only clustered in the gene set of epithelial cells signaling in the HP infection pathway but also significantly upregulated in T-early-N-positive GC by the analysis of the different genes based on the TCGA dataset. A meta-analysis showed that CXCR2 expression was positively correlated with N-stage but not with T-stage in GC. This study indicated that invasion and metastasis could be independent processes driven by different molecular mechanisms in some GC patients. | 7 | Neuron-inspired design of hierarchically porous carbon networks embedded with single-iron sites for efficient oxygen reduction显示文摘The rational structure design and active-site regulation of catalysts is crucial for high energy output. Herein, B, F co-doped Fe–N–C embedded in a flexible and free-standing hierarchical porous carbon framework(Fe–SA–FPCS) was reported. Owing to the synergism of optimized intrinsic activity, fast mass transfer and well exposed active sites, the Fe–SA–FPCS exhibits a high halfwave potential(E1/2=0.89 V vs. RHE) and small Tafel slope(66 m V dec^(-1)). Theoretical calculations uncover that B, F co-doping could accelerate the desorption of OH* on Fe sites, which can effectively increase oxygen reduction reaction activity. As the cathode for Zn–air batteries(ZABs), Fe–SA–FPCS demonstrates a high open-circuit voltage(1.51 V), large peak power density(168.4 m W cm^(-2)) and excellent stability. The assembled flexible solid-state ZAB exhibits excellent stability during charge and discharge cycling in the flat/bent state, and is promising for the application of portable and flexible devices. | 9 | The new AMS facility at Tianjin University显示文摘Introduction Accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS)has been used for the analysis of a lot nuclides in many scientific fields and is one of the most optimal methods to determine very low concentrations of long-lived nuclides.The XCAMS system is an extension of the Compact ^(14)C Accelerator Mass Spectrometer for ^(10)Be and ^(26)Al.A description of the first Chinese XCAMS system and initial performance of three nuclides of ^(14)C,^(10)Be,and ^(26)Al,respectively,will be reported.Experimental procedures Solid sample material(graphite,Al_(2)O_(3),and BeO)is loaded into cathode holders for AMS analysis.The negatively charged ions(C−,Al−,and BeO−)are extracted and accelerated to the terminal,broken-up,and some orbital electrons stripped off to form positively charged atomic ions,and accelerated further.In the post-acceleration region,the magnetic and electrostatic devices act on momentum and energy analysis,respectively.A multi-anode detector is used for the identification and detection of relevant isotopes and isobars.System performance The test criteria of three rare isotopes each were set for beam current intensity,measurement precision,and machine background.The corresponding material and cathode holder were,respectively,used for ^(14)C,^(10)Be,and ^(26)Al test.Several batches of real sample have already been analyzed by the new AMS system based on the acceptance test results.In addition,several secondary standards were measured to check the stability of the system.Conclusion The new XCAMS facility has been installed successfully,and the latest performance also showed that the machine is reliable enough,in general.Both the hardware components and software system were in good condition for accurate and precise data analysis in the near future. | Kejun Dong Yunchao Lang Nan Hu Jun Zhong Sheng Xu Thilo-Michael Hauser Ross Gan | 2018 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2018,2,1: | 0 |
