| 1 | Molecular behaviors in thin film lubrication——Part two: Direct observation of the molecular orientation near the solid surface显示文摘Over the past twenty years, thin film lubrication(TFL) theory has been used to characterize the molecular behaviors in lubrication films thinner than 100 nm, effectively bridging the gap between elastohydrodynamic lubrication and boundary lubrication. Unfortunately, to date, the TFL molecular model proposed in 1996 has not been directly proven by experimental detection. Herein, a method based on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy was developed to show both the packing and orienting of liquid molecules in the TFL regime. By trapping liquid crystal molecules between a structured silver surface and a glass surface, molecular ordering states dominated by shear effect and surface effect were successfully distinguished. A nanosandwich structure consisting of an adsorbed layer, an ordered-molecule layer, and a fluid layer was demonstrated. Molecule imaging in TFL was achieved. | 3 | Finite-element analysis for surface discharge on polyimide insulation in air at atmospheric pressure under pulsed electrical stress显示文摘A surface discharge non-equilibrium plasma model of air–polyimide under pulsed electrical stress is established, byconsidering the reaction of charged particles on the dielectric surface and the secondary electron emission caused by thecondition that high-energy particles bombard the material surface. The model defines the chemical reaction of air discharge byusing simplified set of reactions, which greatly reduces the complexity of the model. To avoid the negative value of particledensity in the process of solution, the logarithmic finite-element method is used to solve the model established, so as toimplement the dynamic simulation of the surface discharge process. Also, the temporal and spatial evolution of themicroparameters such as charge and electric field distribution during discharge are obtained, and the reliability of the model isverified by experiments in terms of discharge development pattern and surface charge accumulation. | 14 | Identification of biomarkers associated with the feed efficiency by metabolomics profiling:results from the broiler lines divergent for high or low abdominal fat content显示文摘Background:Improving feed efficiency(FE)is one of the main objectives in broiler breeding.It is difficult to directly measure FE traits,and breeders hence have been trying to identify biomarkers for the indirect selection and improvement of FE traits.Metabolome is the'bridge'between genome and phenome.The metabolites may potentially account for more of the phenotypic variation and can suitably serve as biomarkers for selecting FE traits.This study aimed to identify plasma metabolite markers for selecting high-FE broilers.A total of 441 birds from Northeast Agricultural University broiler lines divergently selected for abdominal fat content were used to analyze plasma metabolome and estimate the genetic parameters of differentially expressed metabolites.Results:The results identified 124 differentially expressed plasma metabolites(P<0.05)between the lean line(highFE birds)and the fat line(low-FE birds).Among these differentially expressed plasma metabolites,44 were found to have higher positive or negative genetic correlations with FE traits(|r_g|≥0.30).Of these 44 metabolites,14 were found to display moderate to high heritability estimates(h~2≥0.20).However,among the 14 metabolites,4 metabolites whose physiological functions have not been reported were excluded.Ultimately,10 metabolites were suggested to serve as the potential biomarkers for breeding the high-FE broilers.Based on the physiological functions of these metabolites,reducing inflammatory and improving immunity were proposed to improve FE and increase production efficiency.Conclusions:According to the pipeline for the selection of the metabolite markers established in this study,it was suggested that 10 metabolites including 7-ketocholesterol,dimethyl sulfone,epsilon-(gamma-glutamyl)-lysine,gamma-glutamyltyrosine,2-oxoadipic acid,L-homoarginine,testosterone,adenosine 5'-monophosphate,adrenic acid,and calcitriol could be used as the potential biomarkers for breeding the'food-saving broilers'. | Zhiyong Su Xue Bai Haoyu Wang Shouzhi Wang Chong Chen Fan Xiao Huaishun Guo Haihe Gao Li Leng Hui Li | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1: | 0 |

| 18 | Eco-geographical Regionalization of China:An Approach Using the Rough Set Method显示文摘Eco-geographical regionalization involves dividing land into regions by considering both intra-regional consistency and interregional disparity and is based on the pattern of differentiation of eco-geographical elements.Owing to the complexity of the land surface,and the limitation of data and appropriate methods,regions in China have hitherto been mapped manually,meaning that the process of mapping was non-repeatable.To make the regionalization technique repeatable,this study aimed to extract and quantify the expert knowledge of regionalization using an automated method.The rough set method was adopted to extract rules of regionalization based on the existing eco-geographical regionalization map of China,as well as its corresponding meteorological and geological datasets.Then,the rules for regionalization were obtained hierarchically for each natural domain,each temperature zone,and each humidity region.Owing to differences in zonal differentiation,the rule extraction sequence for the eastern monsoon zone and Tibetan Alpine zone was temperature zone first followed by humidity region,with the reverse order being applied for the northwest arid/semi-arid zone.Results show that the extracted indicators were similar to those of the existing(expert-produced)regionalization scheme but more comprehensive.The primary indicator for defining temperature zones was the≥10℃ growing season,and the secondary indicators were the January and July mean temperatures.The primary and secondary indicators for identifying humid regions were aridity index and precipitation,respectively.Eco-geographical regions were mapped over China using these rules and the gridded indicators.Both the temperature zones and humidity regions mapped by the rules show≥85%consistency with the existing regionalization,which is higher than values for mapping by the commonly used simplified method that uses the classification of one indicator.This study demonstrates that the proposed rough set method can establish eco-geographical regionalization that is quantitative and repeatable and able to dynamically updated. | DENG Haoyu WU Shaohong YIN Yunhe GAO Jiangbo ZHAO Dongsheng | 2022 | Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,1: | 0 |

A 30 ×30 phase shifter sample is fabricated on a quartz substrate with a 480 μm thickness and a 4 cm × 4 cm area.According to the experimental results, 0 to 360° phase shift can be achieved within the bandwidth of 5 GHz. In order to accomplish two-dimensional beam-scanning and reduce the negative impact of driving lines on the reflectarray, a new LC driving method is developed. To verify the accuracy of the proposed approach, three samples of different driving line numbers are designed using the above-mentioned phase shifter, which all have achieved a0-360° phase shift in the bandwidth of 4 GHz.
