| 1 | Hydrophobic, mechanical, and tribological properties of fluorine incorporated hydrogenated fullerene-like carbon films显示文摘Fluorine-incorporated hydrogenated fullerene-like nanostructure amorphous carbon films(F-FLC)were synthesized by employing the direct current plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(dc-PECVD)technique using a mixture of methane(CH4),tetra-fluoromethane(CF4),and hydrogen(H2)as the working gases.The effect of the fluorine content on the bonding structure,surface roughness,hydrophobic,mechanical,and tribological properties of the films was systematically investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Raman analysis,atomic force microscope(AFM),contact angle goniometer,nano-indenter,and reciprocating ball-on-disc tester,respectively.The fluorine content in the films increased from 0 to 2.1 at.%as the CF4 gas flow ratio increased from 0 to 3 sccm,and incorporated fluorine atoms existed in the form of C-FX(X=1,2,3)bonds in the film.The fullerene nanostructure embedded in the hydrogenated amorphous carbon films was confirmed by Raman analysis.The water contact angle was significantly increased because of fluorine doping,which indicates that the hydrophobicity of the carbon films could be adjusted to some extent by the fluorine doping.The hardness and elastic modulus of the films remained relatively high(22 GPa)as the fluorine content increased.Furthermore,the friction coefficient of the carbon films was significantly reduced and the wear resistance was enhanced by fluorine doping. | Li QIANG Bin ZHANG Kaixiong GAO Zhenbin GONG Junyan ZHANG | 2013 | Friction2013,1,4: | 6 |
| 2 | A 6.2–9.5 GHz receiver for Wimedia MB-OFDM and China UWB standard显示文摘An integrated 6.2–9.5 GHz UWB receiver for both WiMedia MB-OFDM and China UWB standard is proposed. The receiver can cover Group#3, Group#4 for WiMedia and Group#2–5 for China UWB standard respectively. The fully differential receiver consists of a wideband LNA and a down conversion mixer with high gain and low gain mode. A low-pass filter with controllable gain and cut-o? frequency along with a programmable gain amplifier are also included. The chip was fabricated in TSMC 0.13-μm RF CMOS process. Measurement results show that the receiver achieves voltage gain from 21 to 69 dB with 2 dB/step and an NF of 3.2–4.6 dB over 6.2–9.5 GHz and 1-dB compression point of ?21 dBm. The intermediate frequency of the receiver can be switched between 264 and 132 MHz, which enables the receiver applicable for both WiMedia and China UWB standard. | 4 | Investigation on the photo-induced de-oxygenation process of myoglobin in aqueous solution by use of fluorescence spectroscopy显示文摘A photo-induced de-oxygenation process of myoglobin (Mb) in aqueous solution was investigated by use of fluorescence spectroscopy. The spectra are characterized by the fluorescence intensity declining gradually after each scan,and the decay of fluorescence intensity being significant in each scan,which is assigned to the release of oxygen from the opening of the heme-pockets induced by illumination. More illumination will cause more release of oxygen; if the temperature of an Mb solution is increased when it is illuminated,the rate of de-oxygenation will be higher. It was found that ligand-oxygen in Fe-porphyrin could be removed from Mb by nitrogen. This indicates that the interac-tion between oxy-Mb and other different gases can be tested by the method of fluorescence spectros-copy. | 5 | Recent developments in asphalt-aggregate separation technology for reclaimed asphalt pavement显示文摘Reclaimed asphalt pavement(RAP)has significant recycling value because it contains nonrenewable resources including asphalt and aggregate.However,thus far,only a small part of RAP materials can be used in the con-struction of recycled asphalt pavement,and the usage is regarded as a low-value utilization in the underlying layers.One of the most important reasons for this shortcoming is the problem of false particle size and pseudo gradation of RAP materials.Therefore,identifying suitable asphalt-aggregate separation technology is essential for improving the utilization of RAP materials in recycled asphalt mixture and enhancing the construction quality of recycled asphalt pavement.To address this,the paper performed a systematic review of asphalt-aggregate separation technologies for processing RAP materials and their prospects.Firstly,based on the composition of the asphalt mixture and the characteristics of RAP materials after aging,the key RAP separation technologies were proposed.Then,the concept,principle,and implementation methods of physical,chemical,and biological sep-aration methods of RAP materials were comprehensively analyzed.Moreover,the advantages and disadvantages of various separation technologies were discussed by comparing them with the related technologies in the petrochemical industry.The application prospects of various asphalt-aggregate separation methods for RAP materials can provide a reference for upgrading and expanding solid waste recycling technology for asphalt pavement. | Decheng Feng Jiwei Cao Libo Gao Junyan Yi | 2022 | Journal of Road Engineering2022,2,4: | 1 |

| 15 | Fibrous Aerogels with Tunable Superwettability for High-Performance Solar-Driven Interfacial Evaporation显示文摘Solar-driven interfacial evaporation is an emerging technology for water desalination.Generally,double-layered structure with separate surface wettability properties is usually employed for evaporator construction.However,creating materials with tunable properties is a great challenge because the wettability of existing materials is usually monotonous.Herein,we report vinyltrimethoxysilane as a single molecular unit to hybrid with bacterial cellulose(BC)fibrous network,which can be built into robust aerogel with entirely distinct wettability through controlling assembly pathways.Siloxane groups or carbon atoms are exposed on the surface of BC nanofibers,resulting in either superhydrophilic or superhydrophobic aerogels.With this special property,single component-modified aerogels could be integrated into a double-layered evaporator for water desalination.Under 1 sun,our evaporator achieves high water evaporation rates of 1.91 and 4.20 kg m^(-2)h^(-1)under laboratory and outdoor solar conditions,respectively.Moreover,this aerogel evaporator shows unprecedented lightweight,structural robustness,long-term stability under extreme conditions,and excellent salt-resistance,highlighting the advantages in synthesis of aerogel materials from the single molecular unit. | Chengjian Xu Mengyue Gao Xiaoxiao Yu Junyan Zhang Yanhua Cheng Meifang Zhu | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,5: | 0 |

| 17 | CCDC189 affects sperm flagellum formation by interacting with CABCOC01显示文摘Multiple morphological abnormalities of the sperm flagella(MMAF)are one of the major causes of male infertility and are characterized by multiple defects.In this study,we found that the coiled-coil domain-containing 189(Ccdc189)gene was predominantly expressed in mouse testes and that inactivation of the Ccdc189 gene caused male infertility.Histological studies revealed that most sperm from Ccdc189-deficient mice carried coiled,curved or short flagell a,which are typical MMAF phenotypes.Immunoelectron microscopy showed that the CCDC189 protein was located at the radial spoke of the first peripheral microtubule doublet in the sperm axoneme.A CCDC189-interacting protein,CABCOCO1(ciliary-associated calcium-binding coiled-coil protein 1),was discovered via co-immunoprecipitation and mass spectrometry,and inactivation of Cabcocol caused malformation of sperm flagell a,which was consistent with findings obtained with Ccdc189-deficient mice.Further studies revealed that inactivation of CCDC189 caused downregulation of CABCOCO1 protein expression and that both CCDC189 and CABCOCO1 interacted with the radial-spoke-specific protein RSPH1 and intraflagellar transport proteins.This study demonstrated that Ccdc189 is a radial-spoke-associated protein and is involved in sperm flagellum formation through its interactions with CABCOCO1 and intraflagellar transport proteins. | Mengyue Wang Junyan Kang Zhiming Shen Yingchun Hu Min Chen Xiuhong Cui Hongbin Liu Fei Gao | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,9: | 0 |
| 18 | Dock4 is required for the maintenance of cochlear hair cells and hearing function显示文摘Auditory hair cells(HCs)are the mechanosensory receptors of the cochlea,and HC loss or malfunction can result from genetic defects.Dock4,a member of the Dock180-related protein superfamily,is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Rac1,and previous reports have shown that Dock4 mutations are associated with autism spectrum disorder,myelodysplastic syndromes,and tumorigenesis.Here,we found that Dock4 is highly expressed in the cochlear HCs of mice.However,the role of Dock4 in the inner ear has not yet been investigated.Taking advantage of the piggyBac transposon system,Dock4 knockdown(KD)mice were established to explore the role of Dock4 in the cochlea.Compared to wild-type controls,Dock4 KD mice showed significant hearing impairment from postnatal day 60.Dock4 KD mice showed hair bundle deficits and increased oxidative stress,which eventually led to HC apoptosis,late-onset HC loss,and progressive hearing loss.Furthermore,molecular mechanism studies showed that Rac1/β-catenin signaling was significantly downregulated in Dock4 KD cochleae and that this was the cause for the disorganized stereocilia and increased oxidative stress in HCs.Overall,our work demonstrates that the Dock4/Rac1/β-catenin signaling pathway plays a critical role in the maintenance of auditory HCs and hearing function. | Guodong Hong Xiaolong Fu Jieyu Qi Buwei Shao Xuan Han Yuan Fang Shuang Liu Cheng Cheng Chengwen Zhu Junyan Gao Xia Gao Jie Chen Ming Xia Wei Xiong Renjie Chai | 2023 | Fundamental Research2023,3,4: | 0 |

| 20 | Effects of dietary oil sources and fat extraction methods on apparent and standardized ileal digestibility of fat and fatty acids in growing pigs显示文摘Background:There is a lack of data for the standardized ileal digestibility(SID) of fat and fatty acids in national feed databases.In addition,it is important to specify the procedures used for fat analyses.Therefore,an experiment was conducted to 1) determine the apparent ileal digestibility(AID) and SID of fat and fatty acids in ten different oil sources for growing pigs and to develop prediction equations for SID of fat based on fatty acid composition;and 2) compare the effect of the fat extraction methods on the calculated values for endogenous loss and digestibility of fat.Methods:Twenty-two barrows(initial body weight:32.1 ± 2.3 kg) were surgically fitted with a T-cannula in the distal ileum,and allotted to 1 of 11 experimental diets in a 4-period Youden Square design.A fat-free diet was formulated using cornstarch,soy protein isolate and sucrose.Ten oil-added diets were formulated by adding 6% of dietary oil sources to the fat-free diet at the expense of cornstarch.All diets contained 26% sugar beet pulp and 0.40% chromic oxide.Results:The endogenous loss of ether extract(EE) was lower than that of acid-hydrolyzed fat(AEE;P < 0.01).There were significant differences in the AID and SID of fat and saturated fatty acids across the dietary oil sources(P < 0.05).The SID of AEE for palm oil was lower than that of sunflower oil,corn oil,canola oil,rice oil and flaxseed oil(P < 0.01).The AID and SID of fat ranged from 79.65% to 86.97% and from 91.14% to 99.18%.Although the AID of EE was greater than that of AEE(P < 0.01),there was no significant difference in SID of EE and AEE except for palm oil.The ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids(U/S) had a positive correlation with SID of fat(P < 0.05),whereas C16:0 and long chain saturated fatty acids(LSFA) were significant negatively correlated with SID of fat(P < 0.01).The best-fit equation to predict SID of fat was SID AEE = 102.75-0.15 × LSFA-0.74 × C18:0-0.03 × C18:1(Adjusted coefficient of determination = 0.88,P < 0.01).Conclusions:When calculating the SID of fat,the EE content of the samples can be analyzed using the direct extraction method,whereas the acid hydrolysis procedure should be used to determine the AID of fat.Fat digestibility of dietary oils was affected by their fatty acid composition,especially by the contents of C16:0,LSFA and U/S. | Lu Wang Wenjun Gao Junyan Zhou Huangwei Shi Tenghao Wang Changhua Lai | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,2: | 0 |
