2The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 3Glycolysis Recycling of Waste Polyurethane Rigid Foam Using Different Catalysts显示文摘Dramatically increasing waste polyurethane rigid foam(WPRF)draws the attention of the world.A mixture of ethylene glycol(EG)and diethylene glycol(DEG)is used as glycolysis agents.WPRF was subjected to alcoholysis using different catalysts which are titanium ethylene glycol and potassium hydroxide to obtain recycled polyol,respectively.The effect of a different catalyst on the viscosity and hydroxyl value of recycled polyol is discussed.The regenerated polyurethane(RPU)is performed using the recycled polyol.Infrared spectrum,compressive strength,apparent density,water absorption,scanning electron microscope,and thermogravimetric analysis are carried out to investigate the effect of WPRF degradation using different catalysts.The results show that titanium glycol is more efficient than potassium hydroxide in almost all conditions.The viscosity of the recycled polyol is relatively low,and the hydroxyl value meets the requirements of industrial use.When the titanium glycol titanium addition amount is 0.05%,the prepared RPU has a compressive strength of 0.24 MPa,an apparent density of 41.75 kg/m^(3),and a good foam structure.Besides,the water absorption rate of the RPU under the two catalytic systems is not much different,and the thermal stability is good.The recycled polyol can generally partially replace traditional polyols to prepare polyurethane rigid foams with good comprehensive properties.Xiaohua Gu Hongxiang Luo Shiwei Lv Peng Chen 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,7:2

12Extraction of Alpha transmitter signals from single-station observations using the direction-finding method显示文摘For the applications of Alpha very-low-frequency(VLF) systems consisting of multiple transmitters, determining the origin transmitter station of received signals is a crucial problem. Based on single-station observations, this study develops a directionfinding method to extract Russian Alpha transmitter signals. First, the amplitudes of Alpha signals received in Suizhou City,Hubei Province(31.57°N, 113.32°E) in the east-west(EW) and north-south(NS) directions are obtained by the power spectrum method. The amplitude ratios of signals in the two directions are subsequently adopted to estimate the propagation angles of the signals with respect to the NS direction of the VLF receiver station. Phase ambiguity in our system is eliminated by comparing Alpha signal waveform with that from the VTX transmitter in India(8.39°N, 77.75°E) as a reference station. Finally, we can determine the quadrant where the incoming wave signals are located relative to the receiver and eventually distinguish the exact Alpha transmitters. Based on the direction-finding results, the amplitudes of each Alpha signal are extracted, and their diurnal variation features are analyzed to verify the performance of our method. 15Temperature Effects on the Self-trapping Energy of a Polaron in a GaAs Parabolic Quantum Dot显示文摘The temperature and the size dependences of the self-trapping energy of a polaron in a GaAs parabolic quantum dot are investigated by the second order Rayleigh-Schrodinger perturbation method using the framework of the effective mass approximation. The numerical results show that the self-trapping energies of polaron in GaAs parabolic quantum dots shrink with the enhancement of temperature and the size of the quantum dot. 18High transmittance and grain-orientated alumina ceramics fabricated by adding fine template particles显示文摘Transparent Al_(2)O_(3) ceramics with grains aligned to the c-axis were prepared by adding platelets with a low aspect ratio into fine equiaxed particles.The mixed powders were formed into green bodies using spontaneous coagulation casting and sintered by pressureless sintering and hot-isostatic pressure sintering.Zeta potentials and rheological behavior of the slurries,relative densities of green bodies,and orientation and optical properties of sintered bodies were investigated and discussed.The platelet with a high aspect ratio suppressed densification more seriously during sintering than the one with a low aspect ratio.An excellent oriented structure was obtained when 5 wt%platelets with a low aspect ratio were added,and transparent Al_(2)O_(3) ceramics with grains aligned to c-axis were successfully prepared;the in-line transmittance was 78.4%at 600 nm,which is the highest one in the currently reported literature.Han CHEN Jin ZHAO Shunzo SHIMAI Xiaojian MAO Jian ZHANG Guohong ZHOU Shiwei WANG Na GU Kai ZHENG 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,4:1
