| 3 | A Tailored High-Efficiency Sample Pretreatment Method for Simultaneous Quantification of 10 Classes of Known Endogenous Phytohormones显示文摘One of the hottest topics in plant hormone biology is the crosstalk mechanisms,whereby multiple classes of phytohormones interplay with each other through signaling networks.To better understand the roles of hormonal crosstalks in their complex regulatory networks,it is of high significance to investigate the spatial and temporal distributions of multiple-phytohormones simultaneously from one plant tissue sample.In this study,we develop a high-sensitivity and high-throughput method for the simultaneous quantitative analysis of 44 phytohormone compounds,covering currently known 10 major classes of phytohormones(strigolactones,brassinosteroids,gibberellins,auxin,abscisic acid,jasmonic acid,salicylic acid,cytokinins,ethylene,and polypeptide hormones[e.g.,phytosulfokine])from only 100 mg of plant sample.These compounds were grouped and purified separately with a tailored solid-phase extraction procedure based on their physicochemical properties and then analyzed by LC–MS/MS.The recoveries of our method ranged from 49.6%to 99.9%and the matrix effects from 61.8%to 102.5%,indicating that the overall sample pretreatment design resulted in good purification.The limits of quantitation(LOQs)of our method ranged from 0.06 to 1.29 pg/100 mg fresh weight and its precision was less than 13.4%,indicating high sensitivity and good reproducibility of the method.Tests of our method in different plant matrices demonstrated its wide applicability.Collectively,these advantages will make our method helpful in clarifying the crosstalk networks of phytohormones. | Peiyong Xin Qiuhuan Guo Bingbing Li Shujing Cheng Jijun Yan Jinfang Chu | 2020 | Plant Communications2020,1,3: | 7 |

| 6 | Characterizing the Micropores in Lacustrine Shales of the Late Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation of Southern Songliao Basin, NE China显示文摘Micropores of shale are significant to the gas content and production potential of shale, which has been verified in the research of marine shale gas; while, few studies have been conducted on lacustrine shales. This study collected 42 samples from three wells in the Late Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation of the southern Songliao Basin, NE China, and investigated these samples by the focused ion beam-scanning electron microscope(FIB–SEM) and nitrogen adsorption analysis techniques. Four types of micropores were identified in the samples, i.e., intergranular pore, intracellular pore, organic matter pore and microfracture. The pore structure type is characterized by open slit pores and 'ink type' pores which are mainly 1.5–5 nm in diameter with mesopores as the main pores. The mesopores account for 74.01% of the pore volume and 54.68% of the pore surface area. Compared with the lacustrine shales from the Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin and Xujiahe Formation in the Sichuan Basin, the intergranular clay mineral interlayer pores are considered to be the main reservoir space for shale gas storage in the study area, followed by intraparticle pores, organic matter pores and microfractures. | 9 | Solution-processable precursor route for fabricating ultrathin silica film for high performance and low voltage organic transistors显示文摘Silica is one of the most commonly used materials for dielectric layer in organic thin-film transistors due to its excellent stability, excellent electrical properties, mature preparation process, and good compatibility with organic semiconductors. However, most of conventional preparation methods for silica film are generally performed at high temperature and/or high vacuum. In this paper, we introduce a simple solution spin-coating method to fabricate silica thin film from precursor route, which possesses a low leakage current, high capacitance, and low surface roughness. The silica thin film can be produced in the condition of low temperature and atmospheric environment. To meet various demands, the thickness of film can be adjusted by means of preparation conditions such as the speed of spin-coating and the concentration of solution. The p-type and n-type organic field effect transistors fabricated by using this film as gate electrodes exhibit excellent electrical performance including low voltage and high performance. | 11 | Adsorption behavior of activated carbon for the elimination of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil显示文摘Zearalenone is a mycotoxin produced by Fusarium species.It frequently contaminates cereals used for foods or animal feeds,especially deposited in crude corn oil.Certain amounts of zearalenone can be removed during refining processes.In this study,we studied the influence of activated carbon and six industial absorbents(zeolite,diatomite,attapulgite,perlite,montmorillonite and activated clay)on the elimination of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil and explored the absorption mechanism of activated carbon.Results showed that activated carbon had an excellent adsorption capacity of zearalenone compared with the other six industrial adsorbents.For activated carbon,a high removal rate of zearalenone(exceeding 83%)from heavily zearalenone-polluted corn oil was achieved and the removal rate of zearalenone was kept above 60%after five regeneration cycles.The research on the adsorption mechanism of activated carbon showed that Freundlich adsorption isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model could well described the adsorption process.The thermodynamic study demonstrated that adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy further revealed that activated carbon was effectively combined with zearalenone viaπ-πinteraction.Thus,activated carbon is an efficient and suitable adsorbent to control the levels of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil.This study not only proposed a systematic research scheme for the mechanism study of activated carbon for the elimination of zearalenone in corn oil,but also provided the scientific basis for developing effective methods to eliminate zearalenone in refined vegetable oils. | Yuyuan Hu Chuanguo Ma Weifeng Huang Shujing Guo Tong Wang Jun Liu | 2023 | Grain & Oil Science and Technology2023,6,1: | 1 |

| 15 | Hydrophilic phytosterol derivatives: A short review on structural modifications, cholesterol-lowering activity and safety显示文摘Phytosterols have received extensive attention owing to their excellent cholesterol-lowering activity and the role in cardiovascular diseases prevention. However, poor solubility in both oil and water limited the application of free phytosterols in the food industry. Chemical or enzymatic modifications were effective to improve the physicochemical properties as well as the bioavailability and cholesterollowering activity of phytosterols. Higher oil solubility and lower melting point of phytosterols have been achieved by esterification and transesterification with fatty acids and triacylglycerols so as to enhance the bioavailability, reduce formation of precipitates, and improve the sensory quality of products.While the researches on the improvement on its water solubility is a hot topic. Hydrophilic phytosterol derivatives have promising applications in the food industry because most of foods belong to aqueous matrix. Hydrophilic modification is useful and meaningful for phytosterols in both industrial and commercial applications. | 19 | Mechanism of mitochondrial protection by the Buyin Qianzheng formula in a Parkin overexpression cell model显示文摘Objective:To identify the molecular mechanisms of the effects of the Buyin Qianzheng formula(BYQZF)on the mitochondrial dynamics in a Parkin overexpression Parkinson's disease(PD)cell model.Methods:First,a stable Parkin overexpression cell model was constructed using plasmid transfection.Then,we examined the protective effect of BYQZF on the mitochondrial dysfunction of the Parkin overexpression PD cell model induced by neurotoxin 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium ion(MPPþ).The mRNA expression level of Parkin was evaluated using real-time quantitative PCR.The cell survival rate was detected using the Cell Counting Kit-8 assay.We evaluated the cellular adenosine triphosphate(ATP)levels using luciferase assays.A laser scanning confocal microscope was used to observe the mitochondrial morphology,activity,and mitochondrial membrane potential(DJm).Western blot was conducted to evaluate the levels of the fusion proteins mitofusin1,mitofusin2,optic atrophy 1,dynaminrelated protein 1,and mitochondrial fission protein 1.Results:Parkin overexpression attenuated MPPþ-induced mitochondrial damage,increased mitochondrial activity and DJm.BYQZF increased the survival of MPPþ-induced cells that overexpressed Parkin and upregulated the mitochondrial form factor and activity.It also inhibited a decrease in the DJm and ATP levels.These findings suggested that BYQZF protected against MPPþ-induced mitochondrial dysfunction and enhanced the protective effect of Parkin overexpression.Furthermore,the formula upregulated the expression of the fusion proteins mitofusin1,mitofusin2,and optic atrophy 1(closely related to mitochondrial quality remodeling),and reduced the expression of the fission protein dynamicrelated protein 1,as well as mitochondrial fission protein 1.Conclusion:The mechanism by which BYQZF increased the mitochondrial protective effect of Parkin gene overexpression in MPPþ-induced cells may be related to improving mitochondrial function and regulating the balance of mitochondrial division and fusion proteins. | Cuicui Cheng Yushan Gao Cong Gai Wandi Feng Haojie Ma Jing Feng Zhenyu Guo Shujing Zhang Jie Wu Hongmei Sun | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2022,9,1: | 0 |
| 20 | Cloud Microphysical Processes and Atmospheric Water Budget during the 20 July 2021 Extreme Precipitation Event in Zhengzhou,China显示文摘This study investigated the cloud microphysical processes and atmospheric water budget during the extreme precipitation event on 20 July 2021 in Zhengzhou of Henan Province,China,based on observations,reanalysis data,and the results from the high-resolution large-eddy simulation nested in the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model with assimilation of satellite and radar observations.The results show that the abundant and persistent southeasterly supply of water vapor,induced by Typhoons In-Fa and Cempaka,under a particular synoptic pattern featured with abnormal northwestward displacement of the western Pacific subtropical high,was conducive to warm rain processes through a high vapor condensation rate of cloud water and an efficient collision–coalescence process of cloud water to rainwater.Such conditions were favorable for the formation and maintenance of the quasi-stationary warmsector heavy rainfall.Precipitation formation through the collision–coalescence process of cloud water to rainwater accounted for approximately 70%of the total,while the melting of snow and graupel accounted for only approximately 30%,indicating that warm cloud processes played a dominant role in this extreme rainfall event.However,enhancement of cold cloud processes promoted by latent heat release also exerted positive effect on rainfall during the period of most intense hourly rainfall.It was also found that rainwater advection from outside of Zhengzhou City played an important role in maintaining the extreme precipitation event. | Weixi SHU Danhong FU Hui XIAO Huiling YANG Yue SUN Xueliang GUO Yang ZHAO Jianfang DING Shujing SHEN | 2023 | Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,5: | 0 |
