| 1 | Radiofrequency ablation or microwave ablation combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization in treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma by comparing with radiofrequency ablation alone显示文摘Objective:To compare radiofrequency ablation(RFA) or microwave ablation(MWA) and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) with RFA or MWA monotherapy in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:A prospective,randomized,controlled trial was conducted on 94 patients with HCC ≤7 cm at a single tertiary referral center from June 2008 to June 2010 at the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Southeast University.The patients were randomly assigned into the TACERFA or TACE-MWA(combined treatment group) and the RFA-alone or MWA-alone groups(control group).The primary end point was overall survival.The secondary end point was recurrence-free survival,and the tertiary end point was adverse effects.Results:Until the time of censor,17 patients in the TACE-RFA or TACE-MWA group had died.The median follow-up time of the patients who were still alive for the TACE-RFA or TACE-MWA group was 47.5±11.3 months(range,29 to 62 months).The 1-,3- and 5-year overall survival for the TACE-RFA or TACE-MWA group was 93.6%,68.1% and 61.7%,respectively.Twenty-five patients in the RFA or MWA group had died.The median follow-up time of the patients who were still alive for the RFA or MWA group was 47.0±12.9 months(range,28 to 62 months).The 1-,3- and 5-year overall survival for the RFA or MWA group was 85.1%,59.6% and 44.7%,respectively.The patients in the TACE-RFA or TACE-MWA group had better overall survival than the RFA or MWA group [hazard ratio(HR),0.526;95% confidence interval(95% CI),0.334-0.823;P=0.002],and showed better recurrence-free survival than the RFA or MWA group(HR,0.582;95% CI,0.368-0.895;P=0.008).Conclusions:RFA or MWA combined with TACE in the treatment of HCC ≤7 cm was superior to RFA or MWA alone in improving survival by reducing arterial and portal blood flow due to TACE with iodized oil before RFA. | Yongxiang Yi Yufeng Zhang Qiang Wei Liang Zhao Jianbo Han Yan Song Ying Ding Guilan Lu Junmao Liu Huaiying Ding Feng Dai Xiaojun Tang | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1: | 29 |

| 3 | Tongluo Digui decoction(通络地龟汤)treats renal injury in diabetic rats by promoting autophagy of podocytes显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of Tongluo Digui decoction on renal injury and streptozotocin-induced podocyte autophagy in diabetic rats.METHODS:Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into six groups:normal,model,Tongluo Digui decoction(high,medium,and low dose)and valsartan.Streptozotocin was injected intraperitoneally to replicate the diabetic animal model.After 8 weeks,proteinuria was evaluated to establish the diabetic nephropathy model.Treatments were administered daily via the intragastric route.At 16 weeks after gavage,we determined 24 h urine protein concentration,and blood glucose,serum creatinine,and urea nitrogen concentrations.Then,rats were sacrificed,and kidneys were harvested and stained with periodic acid-Schiff to evaluate the pathological changes in glomeruli,including glomerular podocytes by transmission electron microscopy.Western blot analysis was used to determine the expression of nephrin,podocin,p62,beclin-1,LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰ,and p-m TOR/m TOR protein in kidney tissues.RESULTS:Compared with the model group,Tongluo Digui decoction was associated with decreases in 24 h urine protein concentration,and blood glucose,hemoglobin A1 c,serum creatinine,urea nitrogen concentrations,total serum protein and albumin.Concurrently,mesangial mesenteric broadening and fusion of foot processes were reduced,the glomerular basement membrane was not significantly thickened,and the number of podocytes and the number of autophagosomes in the podocytes was increased.Further,expression of nephrin,podocin,LC3Ⅱ,and beclin-1 protein in kidney tissue was up-regulated,while expression of p62 protein was down-regulated and m TOR phosphorylation was inhibited.CONCLUSION:Tongluo Digui decoction may inhibit the progression of diabetic nephropathy by inhibiting m TOR phosphorylation,thereby increasing autophagy to protect podocytes and reducing proteinuria. | HAN Jiarui ZHANG Yage SHI Xiujie PENG Zining XING Yufeng PANG Xinxin | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,1: | 9 |
| 4 | Biodegradable Zn-Sr alloy for bone regeneration in rat femoral condyle defect model: In vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Bone defects are commonly caused by severe trauma,malignant tumors,or congenital diseases and remain among the toughest clinical problems faced by orthopedic surgeons,especially when of critical size.Biodegradable zinc-based metals have recently gained popularity for their desirable biocompatibility,suitable degradation rate,and favorable osteogenesis-promoting properties.The biphasic activity of Sr promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis,which imparts Zn-Sr alloys with the ideal theoretical osteogenic properties.Herein,a biodegradable Zn-Sr binary alloy system was fabricated.The cytocompatibility and osteogenesis of the Zn-Sr alloys were significantly better than those of pure Zn in MC3T3-E1 cells.RNA-sequencing illustrated that the Zn-0.8Sr alloy promoted osteogenesis by activating the wnt/β-catenin,PI3K/Akt,and MAPK/Erk signaling pathways.Furthermore,rat femoral condyle defects were repaired using Zn-0.8Sr alloy scaffolds,with pure Ti as a control.The scaffold-bone integration and bone ingrowth confirmed the favorable in vivo repair properties of the Zn-Sr alloy,which was verified to offer satisfactory biosafety based on the hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining and ion concentration testing of important organs.The Zn-0.8Sr alloy was identified as an ideal bone repair material candidate,especially for application in critical-sized defects on load-bearing sites due to its favorable biocompatibility and osteogenic properties in vitro and in vivo. | Bo Jia Hongtao Yang Zechuan Zhang Xinhua Qu Xiufeng Jia Qiang Wu Yu Han Yufeng Zheng Kerong Dai | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 9 |

| 6 | Serum zinc levels and multiple health outcomes: Implications for zinc-based biomaterials显示文摘Background:Zinc-based biomaterials,including biodegradable metal,nanoparticles,and coatings used in medical implants release zinc ions that may increase the whole-body and serum zinc concentrations.The impact of serum zinc concentrations on major health outcomes can provide insights for device design and clinical transformation of zinc-based biomaterials.Methods:This nationally representative cross-sectional study enrolled participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES,2011-2014)including 3607 participants.Using unadjusted and multivariate-adjusted logistic regression analyses,two-piecewise linear regression model with a smoothing function and threshold level analysis,we evaluated the associations between elevated serum zinc levels and major health outcomes.Results:Elevated serum zinc levels were significantly associated with an increase in total spine and total femur bone mineral density(BMD).Every 10μg/dL increase was associated with a 1.12-fold increase in diabetes mellitus(DM)and 1.23-fold and 1.29-fold increase in cardiovascular diseases(CVD)and coronary heart disease(CHD),in participants with serum zinc levels≥100μg/dL.It had no significant linear or nonlinear associations with risk of fractures,congestive heart failure,heart attack,thyroid disease,arthritis,osteoarthritis,rheumatoid arthritis,dyslipidemia and cancer.Conclusion:Serum zinc levels are significantly associated with increased BMD in the total spine and total femur,and risk of DM,and CVD/CHD among participants with serum zinc levels≥100μg/dL. | Xinhua Qu Hongtao Yang Zhifeng Yu Bo Jia Han Qiao Yufeng Zheng Kerong Dai | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,2: | 7 |

| 9 | A MXene-functionalized paper-based electrochemical immunosensor for label-free detection of cardiac troponin I显示文摘Convenient,rapid,and accurate detection of cardiac troponin I(cTnI)is crucial in early diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction(AMI).A paper-based electrochemical immunosensor is a promising choice in this field,because of the flexibility,porosity,and cost-efficacy of the paper.However,paper is poor in electronic conductivity and surface functionality.Herein,we report a paper-based electrochemical immunosensor for the label-free detection of cTnI with the working electrode modified by MXene(Ti_(3)C_(2))nanosheets.In order to immobilize the bio-receptor(anti-cTnI)on the MXene-modified working electrode,the MXene nanosheets were functionalized by aminosilane,and the functionalized MXene was immobilized onto the surface of the working electrode through Nafion.The large surface area of the MXene nanosheets facilitates the immobilization of antibodies,and the excellent conductivity facilitates the electron transfer between the electrochemical species and the underlying electrode surface.As a result,the paper-based immunosensor could detect cTnI within a wide range of 5-100 ng/mL with a detection limit of 0.58 ng/mL.The immunosensor also shows outstanding selectivity and good repeatability.Our MXene-modified paper-based electrochemical immunosensor enables fast and sensitive detection of cTnI,which may be used in real-time and cost-efficient monitoring of AMI diseases in clinics. | Li Wang Yufeng Han Hongchen Wang Yaojie Han Jinhua Liu Gang Lu Haidong Yu | 2021 | Journal of Semiconductors2021,42,9: | 3 |
| 10 | Biodegradable ZnLiCa ternary alloys for critical-sized bone defect regeneration at load-bearing sites:In vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘A novel biodegradable metal system,ZnLiCa ternary alloys,were systematically investigated both in vitro and in vivo.The ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of Zn0.8Li0.1Ca alloy reached 567.60±9.56 MPa,which is comparable to pure Ti,one of the most common material used in orthopedics.The elongation of Zn0.8Li0.1Ca is 27.82±18.35%,which is the highest among the ZnLiCa alloys.The in vitro degradation rate of Zn0.8Li0.1Ca alloy in simulated body fluid(SBF)showed significant acceleration than that of pure Zn.CCK-8 tests and hemocompatibility tests manifested that ZnLiCa alloys exhibit good biocompatibility.Real-time PCR showed that Zn0.8Li0.1Ca alloy successfully stimulated the expressions of osteogenesis-related genes(ALP,COL-1,OCN and Runx-2),especially the OCN.An in vivo implantation was conducted in the radius of New Zealand rabbits for 24 weeks,aiming to treat the bone defects.The Micro-CT and histological evaluations proved that the regeneration of bone defect was faster within the Zn0.8Li0.1Ca alloy scaffold than the pure Ti scaffold.Zn0.8Li0.1Ca alloy showed great potential to be applied in orthopedics,especially in the load-bearing sites. | Zechuan Zhang Bo Jia Hongtao Yang Yu Han Qiang Wu Kerong Dai Yufeng Zheng | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,11: | 3 |
| 11 | Agronomic and physiological traits associated with genetic improvement of phosphorus use efficiency of wheat grown in a purple lithomorphic soil显示文摘Developing wheat that acquires and uses phosphorus(P)more efficiently is a promising and low-cost solution for increasing grain yield and reducing P-related environmental impacts.The present study identified agronomic and physiological traits that contribute to genetic variation in the P acquisition,remobilization,and utilization efficiency of 11 wheat cultivars from southwest China grown in P-deficient purple lithomorphic soil(Olsen P=4.7)with balanced(75 kg P ha^(−1))and excess P(120 kg P ha^(−1))supplies.On average,soil P deficiency(–P)reduced root P uptake(17.0%–60.8%),P remobilization(33.9%–52.8%),dry mass yield(11.5%–39.2%),and grain yield(17.7%–54.4%).Balanced P(+P)increased grain yield via increased plant biomass rather than increased HI.–P increased phosphorus uptake efficiency(PUpE,4.5-fold),phosphorus utilization efficiency(PUtE,1.25-fold),and phosphorus use efficiency(PUE,5.4-fold)compared with those under+P,and PUtE explained most(58.1%–60.8%)of the genetic variation in PUE under both–P and+P.The high root P uptake of P-efficient cultivars under–P was regulated by root surface area and root length density in the 0–10 cm soil layer but not in the 10–20 and 20–40 cm soil layers,suggesting that a topsoil foraging strategy is a more economical approach than deeper root exploration for increasing P uptake.Root P uptake before anthesis and P remobilization after anthesis were critical for increasing the PUtE of wheat,given that P-efficient cultivars showed higher Pn(net photosynthetic rate)and sucrose levels than P-inefficient cultivars.Pn reduction by–P resulted from decreased Gs and Ci,and high evapotranspiration under+P increased shoot P%by increasing root P uptake.Genetic variation in the source-to-sink ratio was observed in consequence of a+P-induced allometric increase in sucrose in leaves and kernels.Owing to these beneficial effects,+P increased the kernel N and P yields of the 11 cultivars by 9.9%–52.4%and 12.3%–48.8%,respectively.The findings of this study could help improve wheat in future breeding efforts and P management by identifying desirable Pefficient phenotypes in P-deficient farming systems. | Hongkun Yang Renhua Chen Yufeng Chen Han Li Ting Wei Wei Xie Gaoqiong Fan | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,4: | 2 |

The investigation is focused on the influence of the solid particle parameters (such as particlediameter, particle velocity and particle trajectory) on the erosion rate of the stator and rotor blade surface in unsteadycondition. The distributions of the highly eroded zone on the stator and rotor blade surfaces are shown anddiscussed in detail according to the mechanism of solid particle/blade wall interaction. We obtain that the erosionrate of the vane blade is sensitive to the fluctuation of the potential flow field, and the smaller particle has agreater impact on the erosion distribution of rotor blade. | 16 | Psychometric properties of the Caregiver Strain Questionnaire among Chinese parents of children with ADHD or ASD显示文摘Background There is an urgent need in clinical practice to measure the stress of parenting.The Caregiver Strain Questionnaire(CGSQ)was found to be useful to measure parenting stress,but it has not been validated among the Chinese population.Aims To assess the reliability and construct validity of the Chinese version of CGSQ among Chinese parents.Methods From 2016 to 2017,266 parents(patient group)with a child having DSM-5-defined attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)(n=107)or autism spectrum disorder(ASD)(n=159)and 268 parents of healthy children(control group)were recruited to the present study in Kunming,Yunnan province.All the parents were asked to fill out the Chinese version of CGSQ.We conducted exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)to verify construct validity of CGSQ in both patient and control groups.Cronbach’s α coefficient as an index of internal consistency was assessed for each subscale.Fourteen days later,23 subjects filled out the scale again.Intra-class correlation coefficient was calculated to evaluate the test-retest reliability.Results(1)Cronbach’s alpha of the global scale was 0.901 for the control group and 0.952 for the patient group.The test-retest reliability for the whole scale was 0.890;(2)CFA indicated that the three-factor model had better fitting indices compared with the two-factor model in both groups.Besides,the fitting indices in the patient group were more favourable than those of the control group,withχ2/df=1.564,Goodness-of Fit Index=0.841,Comparative Fit Index=0.954,and root mean square error of approximation=0.065 for the patient group at three-factor model;(3)The caregiver strain of ASD parents was statistically higher than that of ADHD parents,and caregiver strain of ADHD parents was higher than that of control group.Conclusion These findings provide initial evidence to support the construct validity and reliability of CGSQ as a parenting stress measurement tool for Chinese parents,especially for parents of children with ADHD or ASD. | Runxu Yang Huizhi Zhou Jin Liu Yufeng Wang Yan Zhang Yanjiao Wang Ruixiang Liu Xia Cao Dong Han Shuran Yang Jianzhong Yang Chuanyuan Kang | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,2: | 2 |
| 17 | Formalin-induced astrocyte glutamate-glutamine cycle involved in rat spinal cord central sensitization显示文摘BACKGROUND:Central sensitization,a state of increased excitability of nociceptive neurons in the spinal dorsal horn following peripheral tissue injury and/or inflammation,is an important mechanism underlying hyperalgesia and neuropathic pain.Participation of the glutamate-glutamine cycle in central sensitization of the spinal cord remains poorly understood. OBJECTIVE:To determine whether the astrocyte-neuronal glutamate-glutamine cycle is involved in formalin-induced central sensitization in the spinal cord. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment was performed at the Institute of Orthopedics,Second Hospital,Lanzhou University,China from September 2007 to August 2008. MATERIALS:Methionine sulfoximine(MSO,0.1 mmol/L),glutamine(0.25 mmol/L),and formalin were used for this study. METHODS:A total of 43 male,Sprague Dawley rats,aged 4 months,were randomly assigned to a sham operation group(n = 6) and a model group(n = 37).Rats in the model group received intrathecal infusion in the spinal cord.7 days later,37 model rats were randomly divided into PBS, MSO,glutamine,MSO + glutamine and formalin subcutaneous injection alone groups.The PBS, MSO,glutamine,MSO + glutamine groups were respectively intrathecally injected with PBS,MSO, glutamine,MSO + glutamine(50μL each),and then infused with 10μL of saline.Rats from the sham operation group were not subjected to intrathecal infusion in the spinal cord.At 15 minutes after intrathecal injection,a rat model of formalin-induced inflammatory pain was established by subcutaneous injection of 5%formalin(50μL) in the left hindpaw. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Changes in spontaneous nociceptive behavior(licking/biting or flinching) were observed following formalin injection into the rat hindpaw. RESULTS:Compared with the PBS group,duration of licking/biting was significantly shortened,and flinching frequency was significantly diminished in the MSO group(P<0.05).Compared with the MSO group,duration of licking/biting was significantly prolonged,and flinching frequency was significantly increased in the MSO + glutamine group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in inflammatory pain behaviors among the sham operation,PBS,glutamine,MSO + glutamine,and formalin subcutaneous injection alone groups(P>0.05). | 18 | Flat-plate hypersonic boundary-layer ?ow instability and transition prediction considering air dissociation显示文摘The effects of air dissociation on ?at-plate hypersonic boundary-layer ?ow instability and transition prediction are studied. The air dissociation reactions are assumed to be in the chemical equilibrium. Based on the ?at-plate boundary layer, the ?ow stability is analyzed for the Mach numbers from 8 to 15. The results reveal that the consideration of air dissociation leads to a decrease in the unstable region of the ?rst-mode wave and an increase in the maximum growth rate of the second mode. High frequencies appear earlier in the third mode than in the perfect gas model, and the unstable region moves to a lower frequency region. When the Mach number increases, the second-mode wave dominates the transition process, and the third-mode wave has little effect on the transition. Moreover, when the Mach number increases from 8 to 12, the N-factor envelope becomes higher, and the transition is promoted. However, when the Mach number exceeds 12, the N-factor envelope becomes lower, and the transition is delayed. | 19 | Immune responses of dendritic cells combined with tumor-derived autophagosome vaccine on hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Background:To induce and collect tumor-derived autophagosomes(DRibbles) from tumor cells as an antitumor vaccine by inhibiting the functions of proteasomes and lysosomes.Methods:Dendritic cells(DCs) generated from peripheral blood mononuclear cell(PBMC) of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients were cocultured with DRibbles,and then surface molecules of DCs,as well as surface molecules on DCs,were determined by flow cytometry.Meanwhile,immune responses of the DCs-DRibbles were examined by mixed lymphocyte reactions.Results:DRibbles significantly induced the expression of CD80,CD83,CD86 and HLA-DR on DCs.The enzyme-linked immunosorbnent assay(ELISA) showed that IFN-γ levels after vaccination increased than before in most patients,but CD8+ proportion of PBMC increased only in nine patients.Higher levels of IFN-γ were detected in the CD8+ cells than CD4+ T cells.These results suggested that DCs-DRibbles vaccine could induce antigen-specific cellular immune response on HCC and could prime strong CD8+ T cell responses,supporting it as a tumor vaccine candidate.Conclusions:Our results demonstrate that HCC/DRibbles-pulsed DCs immunotherapy might be deployed as an effective antitumor vaccine for HCC immunotherapy in clinical trials. | Yongxiang Yi Jianbo Han Liang Zhao Chunying Wang Yuan Fang Qiang Wei Liang Hu Junmao Liu Yufeng Zhang Lili Wang | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,6: | 2 |
| 20 | Accelerating degradation rate of pure iron by zinc ion implantation显示文摘Pure iron has been considered as a promising candidate for biodegradable implant applications.However,a faster degradation rate of pure iron is needed to meet the clinical requirement.In this work,metal vapor vacuum arc technology was adopted to implant zinc ions into the surface of pure iron.Results showed that the implantation depth of zinc ions was about 60 nm.The degradation rate of pure iron was found to be accelerated after zinc ion implantation.The cytotoxicity tests revealed that the implanted zinc ions brought a slight increase on cytotoxicity of the tested cells.In terms of hemocompatibility,the hemolysis of zinc ion implanted pure iron was lower than 2%.However,zinc ions might induce more adhered and activated platelets on the surface of pure iron.Overall,zinc ion implantation can be a feasible way to accelerate the degradation rate of pure iron for biodegradable applications. | Tao Huang Yufeng Zheng Yong Han | 2016 | Regenerative Biomaterials2016,3,4: | 2 |
