1General characteristics of climate changes during the past 2000 years in China显示文摘The general characteristics of climate changes over the past 2000 years in China,regional differences and uncertainties were analyzed based on the recently peer-reviewed high time-resolution climatic reconstructions.The results showed that there exists four warm periods of the temperature variation in China since the Qin Dynasty,including the western and eastern Han Dynasties(200 BC-AD 180),the Sui and Tang dynasties(541-810),the Song and Yuan dynasties(931-1320),and the 20th century,and three cold phases involving the Wei,Jin,and North-South Dynasties(181-540),the late Tang Dynasty(811-930),and the Ming and Qing dynasties(1321-1920).The Song and Yuan warm period is consistent with the Medieval Warm Period over the Northern Hemisphere,and the cold phases of the North-South Dynasties and the Ming and Qing dynasties are paralleled to the Dark Ages Cold Period and the Little Ice Age,respectively.The 13th-15th century could be a shift to the wet condition of the climate,and the low precipitation variability is exhibited in western China prior to 1500.In the context of the climate warming,the pattern of the drought in north and flood in south is prevalent over the eastern China.In addition,the published reconstructions have a high level of confidence for the past 500 years,but large uncertainties exist prior to the 16th century.GE QuanSheng ZHENG JingYun HAO ZhiXin LIU HaoLong 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,2:15
2Characteristics of Temperature Change in China over the Last 2000 years and Spatial Patterns of Dryness/Wetness during Cold and Warm Periods显示文摘This paper presents new high-resolution proxies and paleoclimatic reconstructions for studying climate changes in China for the past 2000 years. Multi-proxy synthesized reconstructions show that temperature variation in China has exhibited significant 50–70-yr, 100–120-yr, and 200–250-yr cycles. Results also show that the amplitudes of decadal and centennial temperature variation were 1.3℃ and 0.7℃, respectively, with the latter significantly correlated with long-term changes in solar radiation, especially cold periods, which correspond approximately to sunspot minima. The most rapid warming in China occurred over AD 1870–2000, at a rate of 0.56°± 0.42℃(100 yr)^(-1); however, temperatures recorded in the 20 th century may not be unprecedented for the last 2000 years, as data show records for the periods AD 981–1100 and AD1201–70 are comparable to the present. The ensemble means of dryness/wetness spatial patterns in eastern China across all centennial warm periods illustrate a tripole pattern: dry south of 25°N, wet from 25°–30°N, and dry to the north of 30°N. However, for all centennial cold periods, this spatial pattern also exhibits a meridional distribution. The increase in precipitation over the monsoonal regions of China associated with the 20 th century warming can primarily be attributed to a mega El Nino–Southern Oscillation and the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation. In addition, a significant association between increasing numbers of locusts and dry/cold conditions is found in eastern China. 3Reconstructing temperature change in Central East China during 601-920 AD显示文摘Using historical records on first and last frost and snow,spring cultivation,David peach blossom,autumn crop harvest,grade of sea freeze and change in northern citrus boundary,we reconstructed temperature change during 601-920 AD.The mean temperature of the winter half-year(October to April)over Central East China during this period was about-0.22°C higher than that of the present(1961-2000 AD mean).During 601-820 AD,mean temperature was about-0.52°C higher than the present.During 821-920 AD,the mean temperature was 0.42°C lower than the present.The temperature fluctuations were characterized by a maximum amplitude of 1.05°C at the centennial scale,1.38°C at the 50-year scale,2.02°C at the 30-year scale,and 2.3°C at the 20-year scale.There were four peaks warmer than today(601-620 AD,mean of 1°C higher temperature;641-660 AD,1.44°C;701-720 AD,0.88°C;781-800 AD,0.65°C).Three cold periods were in 741-760,821-840,and 881-900 AD,the mean temperature of which was 0.37-0.87°C lower than the present.GE QuanSheng LIU HaoLong ZHENG JingYun ZHANG XueZhen 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,34:8
4Numerical simulation of particle flow behavior in a screw conveyor using the discrete element method显示文摘Particle motion in a screw conveyor was simulated w让h the discrete element method. The particle flow behavior and transport processes at different screw rotating speeds and filling levels were investigated in this study. The spatial distributions of particle velocity were predicted. The predicted mass flow rate increased w让h increasing screw rotating speed and filling level. The contact forces and granular temperatures of particles were also calculated. The simulation results showed that the translational granular particle temperatures were higher than the rotational granular particle temperatures. In add让ion, the configurational temperatures of particles were calculated from simulated instantaneous particle overlaps, and results indicated that deformation of elastic particles contributed to the rate of energy dissipation. 6T cells expressing CD5/CD7 bispecific chimeric antigen receptors with fully human heavy-chain-only domains mitigate tumor antigen escape显示文摘Bispecific chimeric antigen receptor T-cell(CAR-T)therapies have shown promising results in clinical trials for advanced B-cell malignancies.However,it is challenging to broaden the success of bispecific CAR-T therapies to treat refractory/relapse(r/r)T-cell leukemia/lymphoma because targeting multiple T-cell-expressing antigens leads to exacerbated CAR-T cell fratricide and potential safety concerns.Fully human heavy chain variable(FHVH)antibodies that specifically target CD5 or CD7 were screened and constructed to CD5/CD7 bispecific CARs.A truncated Epidermal growth factor receptor were integrated into CAR constructs to address safety concerns.To tackle the fratricidal issue of CAR-T cells targeting T-cell-pan marker(s),CRISPR/Cas9-based CD5 and CD7 genes knockout were performed before lentiviral transduction of bispecific CARs.Functional comparison between different bispecific CAR structures:tandem CARs and dual CAR were performed in vitro and in vivo to determine the optimal construct suitable for addressing T-cell malignancy antigen escape in clinical setting.Knockout of CD5 and CD7 prevents fratricide of CD5/CD7 bispecific CAR-T cells,and FHVH-derived CD5/CD7 bispecific CAR-T cells demonstrate potent antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo.The fratricide-resistant FHVH-derived CD5/CD7 bispecific CAR-T cells have potent antitumor activity against T-cell malignancies,and tandem CARs are more effective than dual CAR in preventing tumor escape in heterogeneous leukemic cells.The meaningful clinical efficacy and safety of tandem CD5/CD7 CAR-T cells deserve to be explored urgently.Zhenyu Dai Wei Mu Ya Zhao Jiali Cheng Haolong Lin Kedong Ouyang Xiangyin Jia Jianwei Liu Qiaoe Wei Meng Wang Chaohong Liu Taochao Tan Jianfeng Zhou 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:3
7Thermal expansion behaviors of Mn(Ⅱ)-pyridylbenzoate frameworks based on metal-carboxylate chains显示文摘Solvothermal reactions of MnCl2with pyridylbenzoic acids gave three-dimensional metal-carboxylate frameworks(MCFs),named MCF-34,MCF-43,and MCF-44,based on one-dimensional Mn-carboxylate chains.The crystal structure,stability,porosity,and framework flexibility of the new compound MCF-44 were studied in detail and compared with its analogs.Depending on their shapes and the bridging angles of the ligands,these compounds possess different network connectivities and porosities.Considering the pyridylbenzote ligands and Mn(II)ions as,respectively,3-and 6-connected nodes,they resemble either the anatase(ant)or rutile(rtl)polymorph of TiO2.Variable-temperature single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed large thermal expansion coefficients for these compounds,which are probably related to the relatively flexible edge-sharing polyhedral structure of their Mn-carboxylate chains.Interestingly,the new compound MCF-44,with its highly porous rtl structure exhibits the largest thermal expansion coefficienct among the coordination polymers reported so far.ZHOU HaoLong Li Mian LI Dan ZHANG JiePeng CHEN XiaoMing 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,3:2

9Mitochondria Redistribution in Enterovirus A71 Infected Cells and Its Effect on Virus Replication显示文摘Enterovirus A71(EV-A71)is one of the main causative agents of hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)and it also causes severe neurologic complications in infected children.The interactions between some viruses and the host mitochondria are crucial for virus replication and pathogenicity.In this study,it was observed that EV-A71 infection resulted in a perinuclear redistribution of the mitochondria.The mitochondria rearrangement was found to require the microtubule network,the dynein complex and a low cytosolic calcium concentration.Subsequently,the EV-A71 non-structural protein 2BC was identified as the viral protein capable of inducing mitochondria clustering.The protein was found localized on mitochondria and interacted with the mitochondrial Rho GTPase 1(RHOT1)that is a key protein required for attachment between the mitochondria and the motor proteins,which are responsible for the control of mitochondria movement.Additionally,suppressing mitochondria clustering by treating cells with nocodazole,EHNA,thapsigargin or A23187 consistently inhibited EV?A71 replication,indicating that mitochondria recruitment played a crucial role in the EV-A71 life cycle.This study identified a novel function of the EV-A71 2BC protein and provided a potential model for the regulation of mitochondrial motility in EV-A71 infection.Yang Yang Haolong Cong Ning Du Xiaodong Han Lei Song Wenliang Zhang Chunrui Li Po Tien 2019Virologica Sinica2019,34,4:2
10Soil carbon dynamics in a Pinus massoniana plantation following clear-cutting and slash removal显示文摘Aims Slash removal is a common practice to prepare recently harvested sites for replanting.However,little is known about its impact on soil carbon(C)dynamics in subtropical plantations.This study evaluates the effects of burning versus manual slash removal site preparation treatments on soil organic carbon(SOC),soil respiration and soil microbial community structure in a Pinus massoniana plantation in southern China.Methods Three areas within a mature P.massoniana plantation were clearcut.Two months following harvesting,slash on one-half of each area was burned(BURN),whereas slash was manually removed(MANR)on the other portion.Slash removal treatments were also compared with adjacent uncut plantation areas(UNCUT).Soil samples,and soil respiration measurements were used to characterize soil properties and microbial communities following slash removal treatments.Important Findings Mean soil respiration rates from the MANR and BURN treatments were 26%and 17%lower,respectively,than the UNCUT treatment over 1 year.The MANR and BURN treatment resulted in soils with 27%and 9%reduction in total phospholipid fatty acids(PLFAs)and 18%and 10%reduction in bacterial PLFAs,respectively,compared with the UNCUT treatment.However,no significant differences existed between slash removal treatments with respect to soil chemical properties,SOC chemical compositions,soil respiration and microbial communities;although PLFA patterns were notably different for the burned plots.Most factors affecting C dynamics and microbial communities were not sensitive to the differences imparted to the ecosystem due to manual slash removal or burning.Our results suggested that low-intensity burning after clear-cutting might have no significant effect on soil C pool and its dynamics compared with manual slash removal in subtropical plantations.Yuan Wen Jamie LSchuler Shirong Liu Pu Mou Hui Wang Haolong Yu Jingxin Wang 2016Journal of Plant Ecology2016,9,1:2

17Relationships between climate change, agricultural development and social stability in the Hexi Corridor over the last 2000 years显示文摘This case study of the Hexi Corridor, Northwestern China, utilizes statistical methods to estimate quantitatively the interaction at a regional level between climate change, ancient social developments, and political coping strategies over the past 2000 years. The data is sourced from high-resolution reconstructions of climate series(temperature and precipitation), and historical records of cultivated land, war, population, and changes in regional administrative systems. The results show that moisture conditions played a more significant role than temperature in driving land reclamation in the Hexi Corridor. Analysis also showed a negative correlation between war frequency and the area of cultivated land in the Corridor over 20-year time intervals. Population growth was found to have a significant positive correlation with the cultivated land area during the study period. The results indicate that a climate-induced decline in agricultural production and the subsequent fluctuations in population could act as a trigger for social unrest, which is especially true at the mutual decadal time-scales. However, the interaction with administrative reform also suggests that, in the face of social and economic turmoil, a reasonable administrative hierarchy could strengthen the social governance of regional government, and promote social stability and economic development at a regional level. 18Phenological records in Guanzhong Area in central China between 600 and 902 AD as proxy for winter half-year temperature reconstruction显示文摘Phenological data obtained from historical documents constitute highly important ecological evidence for the pre-instrumental period, and can be used in analyzing climatic change in history. In this study, 87 phenological records about seasonality of non-biological events(e.g., first frost date), agriculture and ornamental plants(e.g., first flowering date) over 77 years were extracted from historical documents from the Sui and Tang dynasties in China to reconstruct the winter half-year(from October to next April) temperatures in the Guanzhong Area(located in central China) from 600 to 902 AD. Transfer functions between temperature and phenophases with significant correlations were established by using modern observation data. Temperatures from the study period were reconstructed by applying the transfer functions to historical phenological data. The reconstruction indicates that the winter half-year temperatures during 600–902 AD were 0.23°C higher than the reference period(1961–1990). The temperature changed with two distinct stages. During the 600s–800s, temperatures were approximately 0.38°C higher than at present but then temperatures decreased in the subsequent period(800–902 AD). These results are similar to ones from previous studies on the mean temperature and the divisions between warm and cold periods during the study period, though differences were found in the degree of warmness/coldness. 20Comparison of CS,CGM and CS-CGM for Prediction of Pipe’s Inner Surface in FGMs显示文摘The cuckoo search algorithm(CS)is improved by using the conjugate gradient method(CGM),and the CS-CGM is proposed.The unknown inner boundary shapes are generated randomly and evolved by Lévy flights and elimination mechanism in the CS and CS-CGM.The CS,CGM and CS-CGM are examined for the prediction of a pipe’s inner surface.The direct problem is two-dimensional transient heat conduction in functionally graded materials(FGMs).Firstly,the radial integration boundary element method(RIBEM)is applied to solve the direct problem.Then the three methods are compared to identify the pipe’s inner surface with the information of measured temperatures.Finally,the influences of timepoints,measurement point number and random noise on the inverse results are investigated.It is found that the three algorithms are promising and can be used to identify the pipe’s inner surface.The CS-CGM has higher accuracy and faster convergence speed than the CS and CGM.The CS and CS-CGM are insensitive to the initial values.The CGM and CS-CGM are more insensitive to the measurement noises compared with the CS.With the increase of timepoints and measurement points,and with the decrease of measurement noises,the inverse results are more accurate.Haolong Chen Bo Yu Huanlin Zhou Zeng Meng 2017Computers, Materials & Continua2017,,4:1
