1Numerical simulation of particle flow behavior in a screw conveyor using the discrete element method显示文摘Particle motion in a screw conveyor was simulated w让h the discrete element method. The particle flow behavior and transport processes at different screw rotating speeds and filling levels were investigated in this study. The spatial distributions of particle velocity were predicted. The predicted mass flow rate increased w让h increasing screw rotating speed and filling level. The contact forces and granular temperatures of particles were also calculated. The simulation results showed that the translational granular particle temperatures were higher than the rotational granular particle temperatures. In add让ion, the configurational temperatures of particles were calculated from simulated instantaneous particle overlaps, and results indicated that deformation of elastic particles contributed to the rate of energy dissipation. 2Thermal expansion behaviors of Mn(Ⅱ)-pyridylbenzoate frameworks based on metal-carboxylate chains显示文摘Solvothermal reactions of MnCl2with pyridylbenzoic acids gave three-dimensional metal-carboxylate frameworks(MCFs),named MCF-34,MCF-43,and MCF-44,based on one-dimensional Mn-carboxylate chains.The crystal structure,stability,porosity,and framework flexibility of the new compound MCF-44 were studied in detail and compared with its analogs.Depending on their shapes and the bridging angles of the ligands,these compounds possess different network connectivities and porosities.Considering the pyridylbenzote ligands and Mn(II)ions as,respectively,3-and 6-connected nodes,they resemble either the anatase(ant)or rutile(rtl)polymorph of TiO2.Variable-temperature single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed large thermal expansion coefficients for these compounds,which are probably related to the relatively flexible edge-sharing polyhedral structure of their Mn-carboxylate chains.Interestingly,the new compound MCF-44,with its highly porous rtl structure exhibits the largest thermal expansion coefficienct among the coordination polymers reported so far.ZHOU HaoLong Li Mian LI Dan ZHANG JiePeng CHEN XiaoMing 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,3:2
3Mitochondria Redistribution in Enterovirus A71 Infected Cells and Its Effect on Virus Replication显示文摘Enterovirus A71(EV-A71)is one of the main causative agents of hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)and it also causes severe neurologic complications in infected children.The interactions between some viruses and the host mitochondria are crucial for virus replication and pathogenicity.In this study,it was observed that EV-A71 infection resulted in a perinuclear redistribution of the mitochondria.The mitochondria rearrangement was found to require the microtubule network,the dynein complex and a low cytosolic calcium concentration.Subsequently,the EV-A71 non-structural protein 2BC was identified as the viral protein capable of inducing mitochondria clustering.The protein was found localized on mitochondria and interacted with the mitochondrial Rho GTPase 1(RHOT1)that is a key protein required for attachment between the mitochondria and the motor proteins,which are responsible for the control of mitochondria movement.Additionally,suppressing mitochondria clustering by treating cells with nocodazole,EHNA,thapsigargin or A23187 consistently inhibited EV?A71 replication,indicating that mitochondria recruitment played a crucial role in the EV-A71 life cycle.This study identified a novel function of the EV-A71 2BC protein and provided a potential model for the regulation of mitochondrial motility in EV-A71 infection.Yang Yang Haolong Cong Ning Du Xiaodong Han Lei Song Wenliang Zhang Chunrui Li Po Tien 2019Virologica Sinica2019,34,4:2

7Relationships between climate change, agricultural development and social stability in the Hexi Corridor over the last 2000 years显示文摘This case study of the Hexi Corridor, Northwestern China, utilizes statistical methods to estimate quantitatively the interaction at a regional level between climate change, ancient social developments, and political coping strategies over the past 2000 years. The data is sourced from high-resolution reconstructions of climate series(temperature and precipitation), and historical records of cultivated land, war, population, and changes in regional administrative systems. The results show that moisture conditions played a more significant role than temperature in driving land reclamation in the Hexi Corridor. Analysis also showed a negative correlation between war frequency and the area of cultivated land in the Corridor over 20-year time intervals. Population growth was found to have a significant positive correlation with the cultivated land area during the study period. The results indicate that a climate-induced decline in agricultural production and the subsequent fluctuations in population could act as a trigger for social unrest, which is especially true at the mutual decadal time-scales. However, the interaction with administrative reform also suggests that, in the face of social and economic turmoil, a reasonable administrative hierarchy could strengthen the social governance of regional government, and promote social stability and economic development at a regional level. 11In situ crosslinking of polyoxometalate-polymer nanocomposites for robust high-temperature proton exchange membranes显示文摘The most practical high-temperature proton exchange membranes(PEMs) are phosphoric acid(PA)-doped polymer electrolytes. However, due to the plasticizing effect of PA, it is a challenge to address the trade-off between the proton conductivity and the mechanical performance of these materials. Here,we report an effective strategy to fabricate robust high-temperature PEMs based on the in situ electrostatic crosslinking of polyoxometalates and polymers. A comb copolymer poly(ether-ether-ketone)-grafted-poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline)(PGE) with transformable side chains was synthesized and complexed with H_(3)PW_(12)O_(40)(PW) by electrostatic self-assembly, forming PGE/PW nanocomposite membranes with bicontinuous nanostructures. After a subsequent PA-treatment of these membranes, high-temperature PEMs of PGE/PW/PA ternary nanocomposites were obtained, in which the in situ electrostatic crosslinking effect between PW and PGE side chains was generated in the hydrophilic domains of the bicontinuous structures. The microphase separation structure and the electrostatic crosslinking feature endow the PGE/PW/PA membranes with excellent anhydrous proton conductive ability while retaining high mechanical performance. The membranes show a high proton conductivity of 42.5 m S/cm at 150 ℃ and a high tensile strength of 13 MPa. 12Nanostructured Polymer Composite Electrolytes with Self-Assembled Polyoxometalate Networks for Proton Conduction显示文摘The key challenge for the use of polymer electrolytes is to realize a high ionic conductivity without scarifying their mechanical performance.Herein,we report a facile strategy to prepare a nanostructured polymer electrolyte with both high proton conductivity and high modulus,based on the electrostatic self-assembly of polyoxometalate cluster H_(3)PW_(12)O_(40)(PW)and comb copolymer poly(ether-etherketone)-grafted-poly(vinyl pyrrolidone)(PEEK-gPVP).The incorporation of protonic acid PW can enable the PEEK-g-PVP to be highly proton conductive and create flexible composite electrolyte membranes.Moreover,nanoscale phase separation between PEEK domains and PVP/PW domains spontaneously occurs in these membranes,forming a bicontinuous structure with three-dimensional(3D)-connected PW networks.Due to the dual role of PW networks as both proton transport pathways and mechanical enhancers,these membranes exhibit proton conductivities higher than 30 mS cm^(−1) and modulus over 4 GPa.Notably,the direct methanol fuel cells equipped with these membranes show good cell performance.Given the wide tunability of comb copolymers and polyoxometalates,this system can be extended to develop a variety of functional electrolyte materials,for example,the lithium-ion conductive electrolytes by using polyoxometalatebased lithium salts,which provides a promising platform to explore versatile electrolyte materials for energy and electronic applications.Gang Wang Jialin Li Lichao Shang Haibo He Tingting Cui Shengchao Chai Chengji Zhao Lixin Wu Haolong Li 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:0

14Study on the extremely cold winter of 1670 over the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River显示文摘The snow-cover days over the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River(MLRYR) in the winter of 1670 were extracted from Chinese historical documents. By these records, the winter temperature anomalies(compared to the mean of 1961–1990) recorded at seven meteorological stations and the regional mean winter temperature were estimated. The results show that:(1) There was an average of about 30 snow-cover days over the MLRYR region in 1670, ranging from 11–20 days in Shanghai and eastern Zhejiang to 51–60 days in eastern Hunan Province. The snow-cover days averaged about 40 days in Anqing and Nancheng, and ranged from 30 to 40 days in Quzhou, Jingdezhen, and Nanchang; and(2) the regional mean winter temperature in 1670 was estimated to be approximately 4.0 °C lower than that of 1961–1990. The maximum negative anomaly of 5.6 °C occurred in Nanchang and the minimum anomaly of-2.8 °C was detected in Quzhou. Both of these were lower than that of the coldest winter during the instrumental observation period of 1951–2010. 15Inactivated SARS-CoV-2 booster vaccine enhanced immune responses in patients with chronic liver diseases显示文摘Chronic liver disease(CLD)entails elevated risk of COVID-19 severity and mortality.The effectiveness of the booster dose of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine in stimulating antibody response in CLD patients is unclear.Therefore,we conducted a cross-sectional study involving 237 adult CLD patients and 170 healthy controls(HC)to analyze neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)against SARS-CoV-2 prototype and BA.4/5 variant,anti-receptor binding domain(RBD)IgG,and total anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.Serum levels of the total anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies,anti-RBD IgG and inhibition efficacy of NAbs were significantly elevated in CLD patients after the booster dose compared with the pre-booster dose,but were relatively lower than those of HCs.Induced humoral responses decreased over time after booster vaccination.The neutralization efficiency of the serum against BA.4/5 increased but remained below the inhibition threshold.All four SARS-CoV-2 antibodies,including total anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies,anti-RBD IgG and NAbs against prototype and BA.4/5,were lower in patients with severe CLD than those with non-severe CLD.After booster shot,age and time after the last vaccine were the risk factors for seropositivity of NAb against BA.4/5 in CLD patients.Additionally,white blood cell counts and hepatitis B core antibodies were the protective factors,and severe liver disease was the risk factor associated with seropositivity of total anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.Overall,our data uncovered that antibody responses were improved in CLD patients and peaked at 120 days after the booster vaccines.All antibodies excepting total anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies declined after peak.CLD patients exhibited impaired immunologic responses to vaccination and weakened NAbs against BA.4/5,which hindered the protective effect of the booster shot against Omicron prevalence.Cellular immune responses should be further evaluated to determine the optimal vaccine regimen for CLD patients.Yongmei Liu Jianhua Lu Haoting Zhan Wenfang Yuan Xiaomeng Li Haiyan Kang Haolong Li Yongliang Chen Linlin Cheng Xingli Sun Haojie Zheng Wei Wang Erhei Dai Yongzhe Li 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,5:0
16A Fire Escape Simulation System Based on the Dijkstra Algorithm显示文摘Despite the support of all kinds of fire prevention measures and high-tech fire prevention equipment,fires still occur frequently because of both anthro-pogenic factors and natural disasters.This issue has drawn the attention of schools,all levels of government,and other organizations.Many types of organi-zations carry out fire drills throughout the year.Because this kind of drill cannot anticipate the specific circumstances of each fire,which are generally far more complicated than drills,most people cannot correctly choose the optimal escape route from real fires.Thus,a fire-scene virtual simulation system based on the Dijkstra algorithm is here proposed to address such problems as casualties caused by frequent fires and the inability of most people to correctly choose a fire escape route.This virtual fire escape simulation system uses Maya to carry out 3D recon-struction of the fire scene,the Unity engine to conduct interactive function design,and the Dijkstra algorithm to calculate the best escape route.The results of the example indicate that the simulation system solves the problems of the traditional simulation system,such as stiffness,lack of intelligence,and poor simulation.Haolong Yang Chunqiang Hu Guwei Li Jingchun Fan 2021Computer Systems Science & Engineering2021,39,12:0
17Self-assembled lamellar nanochannels in polyoxometalate-polymer nanocomposites for proton conduction显示文摘The construction of nanostructured ion-transport channels is highly desirable in the design of advanced electrolyte materials,as it can enhance ion conductivity by offering short ion-transport pathways.In this work,we present a supramolecular strategy to fabricate a nanocomposite electrolyte containing highly ordered lamellar proton-conducting nanochannels,by the electrostatic self-assembly of a polyoxometalate H_(3)PW1_(2)O_(4)O(PW)and a comb copolymer poly(4-methlstyrene)-graft-poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone).PW can effectively regulate the self-assembling order of polymer moieties to form a large-ra nge lamellar structure,meanwhile,introducing protons into the nanoscale lamellar domains to build proton transport channels.Moreover,the rigid PW clusters contribute a remarkable mechanical reinforcement to the nanocomposites.The lamellar nanocomposite exhibits a conductivity of 4.3×10^(-4)S/cm and a storage modulus of 1.1×10^(7)Pa at room temperature.This study provides a new strategy to construct nanostructured ion-conductive pathways in electrolyte materials.Haibo He Gang Wang Shengchao Chai Xiang Li Liang Zhai Lixin Wu Haolong Li 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,6:0
