| 1 | First-principles Study of NiAl Alloyed with Rare Earth Element Ce显示文摘The structural, elastic, and electronic properties of NiAl alloyed with rare earth element (REE) Ce have been investigated by using density functional theory (DFT). It is found that Ce has a strong Al site preference and causes lattice distortion of NiAl. The calculation of elastic constants shows that Ce increased both the hardness and the ductility of NiAl, which could be explained by the formation of new ionic bonds between Al (and Ni) and Ce and the enhancement of covalent bonds in Ni8Al7Ce. | 3 | Nitrate increases cisplatin chemosensitivity of oral squamous cell carcinoma via REDD1/AKT signaling pathway显示文摘Although cisplatin is one of the chemotherapeutics most frequently used in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)treatment,it exerts multiple side effects and poor chemosensitivity.Nitrate reportedly demonstrates several beneficial biological functions,and synthesized nitrates enhance the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy.However,the role of inorganic nitrate in cisplatin chemotherapy remains unclear.We therefore investigated the effect of inorganic nitrate exerted on cisplatin sensitivity in OSCC.We found that nitrate did not affect OSCC cell growth and apoptosis in OSCC cells and OSCC xenograft tumor animal studies.Cisplatin induced REDD1 expression and AKT activation in OSCC.However,nitrate could increase cisplatin chemosensitivity,reduce its REDD1 expression,and attenuate AKT signaling activation in OSCC cells.Dysregulation of high levels of REDD1,which could enhance AKT activation,was positively associated with poor prognosis in OSCC patients.Thus,reduced REDD1 expression and retarded AKT activation induced by inorganic nitrate might be a new potential approach to the sensitization of oral cancer to cisplatin treatment in the future. | Yuanyong Feng Xuedi Cao Bin Zhao Chunyan Song Baoxing Pang Liang Hu Chunmei Zhang Jinsong Wang Junqi He Songlin Wang | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,11: | 2 |

| 5 | Defective TiO_(2)-graphene heterostructures enabling in-situ electrocatalyst evolution for lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries are considered as one of the promising next-generation energy storage systems because of their high energy density. While the low utilization of sulfur and sluggish reaction kinetics would lead to degradation of electrochemical performance and thus hinder the practical application of Li-S batteries. Herein, a double-shelled TiO_(2)-graphene heterostructure (H-TiO_(2)/rGO) with abundant oxygen vacancies (OVs) and highly exposed active plane as advanced host material in Li-S batteries is designed. This rational structure not only provides sufficient active sites and lower bandgap for lithium polysulfides (LiPSs), but also builds smooth adsorption-diffusion-conversion of LiPSs on catalyst, which greatly reduces interfacial energy barrier and promotes the utilization of sulfur through suppressing the devastating shuttling effect. Combining the synergetic merits of strong anchoring ability and catalyzing the of LiPSs, the electrode (S-TiO_(2)/rGO-1) exhibits superior rate performance and long lifespan (1000 cycles at 1C, 0.023% capacity loss per cycle) with high columbic efficiency. | 6 | Coordinated regulation of plant immunity by poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation and K63-linked ubiquitination显示文摘Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation(PARylation)is a posttranslational modification reversibly catalyzed by poly(ADP-ribose)polymerases(PARPs)and poly(ADP-ribose)glycohydrolases(PARGs)and plays a key role in multi-ple cellular processes.The molecular mechanisms by which PARylation regulates innate immunity remain largely unknown in eukaryotes.Here we show that Arabidopsis UBC13A and UBC13B,the major drivers of lysine 63(K63)-linked polyubiquitination,directly interact with PARPs/PARGs.Activation of pathogen-associated molecular pattern(PAMP)-triggered immunity promotes these interactions and enhances PARylation of UBC13.Both parp1 parp2 and ubc13a ubc13b mutants are compromised in immune responses with increased accumulation of total pathogenesis-related(PR)proteins but decreased accu-mulation of secreted PR proteins.Protein disulfide-isomerases(PDIs),essential components of endo-plasmic reticulum quality control(ERQC)that ensure proper folding and maturation of proteins destined for secretion,complex with PARPs/PARGs and are PARylated upon PAMP perception.Significantly,PARylation of UBC13 regulates K63-linked ubiquitination of PDIs,which may further promote their disulfide isomerase activities for correct protein folding and subsequent secretion.Taken together,these results indicate that plant immunity is coordinately regulated by PARylation and K63-linked ubiquitination. | Dongsheng Yao Marcus A.Arguez Ping He Andrew F.Bent Junqi Song | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,12: | 1 |

| 12 | Autumn NDVI contributes more and more to vegetation improvement in the growing season across the Tibetan Platea显示文摘Detecting changes in vegetation,distinguishing the persistence of changes,and seeking their causes during multiple periods are important to gaining a deeper understanding of vegetation dynamics.Using the Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)version NDVI_(3g) dataset in the Tibetan Plateau,the trends in the seasonal components of NDVI and their linkage with climatic factors were analyzed over 14 asymptotic periods of 18–31 years since 1982.Dynamic trends in vegetation experienced an obvious increase at regional scale,but the increases of vegetation activity mostly tended to stall or slow down as the studied time period was extended.At pixel scale,areas with significant browning significantly expanded over 14 periods for all seasons,but for significant greening significantly increased only in autumn.The changes of vegetation activity in spring were the most drastic among three seasons.Increased increments of NDVI in summer,spring,and autumn took turns being the main reason for the enhanced vegetation activity in the growing season in the nested 14 periods.Vegetation activity was mainly regulated by a thermal factor,and the dominant climatic drivers of vegetation growth varied across different seasons and regions.We speculate that the increase of NDVI will continue but the increments will decline in all seasons except autumn. | Jiaqiang Du Ping He Shifeng Fang Weiling Liu Xinjie Yuan Junqi Yin | 2017 | International Journal of Digital Earth2017,10,11: | 0 |

| 20 | EBP50影响HeLa细胞微丝骨架的分布和定位(英文)显示文摘Objective:To explore the influence of EBP50(ezrin-radixin-moesin-binding phospho-protein-50) on microfilament cytoskeleton content and distribution in cultured Hela cells, and to investigate the relationship between the changes in microfilament cytoskeleton localization and EBP50 after PDGF(platelet-derived growth factor) stimulation, and to further clarify the molecular mechanism by which EBP50 suppresses tumor cell proliferation and migration.Methods:pBK-CMV-HAEBP50 wild type recombinant plasmid and pBK-CMV-HA empty vector were transfected into Hela cells.G418 at 350 mg/L was used to screen for cell clones stably expressing EBP50.Western blot was carried out to detect EBP50 expression.Similarities and differences in microfilament cytoskeleton content and distribution in Hela cells transfected with pBK-CMV-HA-EBP50 wild type recombinant plasmid and pBK-CMV-HA empty vector were also treated with PDGF(10 ng/mL and 20 ng/mL, 37 ℃, 15 min) and stained by rhodamine-labeled phalloidin to observe the distribution of microfilament cytoskeleton in the two groups.EBP50 protein distribution in PDGF-stimulated Hela cells was detected by immunofluorescence.Results:Western blot results confirmed that the EBP50 cDNA fragment could express EBP50 in cultured Hela cell lines and that cell lines stably expressing EBP50 were successfully obtained.Western blot and fluorescence results showed that in the cell line transfected with empty vector, the microfilament cytoskeleton was thick, loose, multidirectional and displayed crossing arrangements.The content of microfilament cytoskeleton in the cell line transfected with pBK-CMV-HA-EBP50 was different from that found in the cell line transfected with empty vector.EBP50 expression enhanced microfilament cytoskeleton polymerization into compact thin filaments.Under the stimulation of PDGF, EBP50 migrated to the cell membrane from the cytosol together with microfilament cytoskeleton and co-localized there.Conclusion:EBP50 can change the distribution of microfilament cytoskeleton in cultured Hela cells and can also bind the microfilament cytoskeleton to the cell membrane under the stimulation of PDGF.EBP50 may play a role in the proliferation and migration of tumor cells by influencing the distribution and localization of microfilament cytoskeleton. | Kun Liu Junfang Zheng Ying Wang Peng Chen Junqi He | 2009 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2009,8,5: | 0 |
