1Deep water bottom current deposition in the northern South China Sea显示文摘There are some active bottom currents on the northern continental slope of the South China Sea (SCS). Reflection seismic profiles show that the bottom current channels occur in the water depth range of 1000 to 2700 m,extending from the NE to the SW,leading to accumulation of discontinuous drifts with higher sedimentation rates on the eastern side of the channel. The stacking pattern of the layers sug-gests that these drifts propagated southwestward,following the direction of the bottom currents. One sedimentary drift to the southeast of the Dongsha Islands has the highest sedimentation rate of 97cm/ka in the last 12 ka. The sedimentary characteristics of the sediment layers indicate that these bottom currents are most likley caused by the water movement of a branch of the West Pacific Ocean Current,which enters the northern SCS via the Bashi Strait. Once formed,the bottom currents trans-port sediments along the northern slope of SCS southwestward and finally disappear into the central basin of the SCS. 4Regulation network and expression profiles of Epstein-Barr virus-encoded microRNAs and their potential target host genes in nasopharyngeal carcinomas显示文摘Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)is associated with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)tumorigenesis.However,the mechanism(s)connecting EBV infection and NPC remain unclear.Recently,a new class of EBV microRNAs(miRNAs)has been described.To determine how EBV miRNAs control the expression of host genes,and to understand their potential role in NPC tumorigenesis,we profiled the expression of 44 mature EBV miRNAs and potential host genes in NPC and non-tumor nasopharyngeal epithelial tissues.We found that 40 EBV miRNAs from the BART transcript were highly expressed in NPC.Analysis of potential BART miRNA target genes revealed that 3140 genes and several important pathways might be involved in the carcinogenesis of NPC.A total of 105 genes with potential EBV miRNA binding sites were significantly downregulated,suggesting that EBV miRNAs may regulate these genes and contribute to NPC carcinogenesis.An EBV miRNA and host gene regulation network was generated to provide useful clues for validating of EBV miRNA functions in NPC tumorigenesis.ZENG ZhaoYang HUANG HongBin HUANG LiLi SUN MengXi YAN QiJia SONG YaLi WEI Fang BO Hao GONG ZhaoJian ZENG Yong LI Qiao ZHANG WenLing LI XiaYu XIANG Bo LI XiaoLing LI Yong XIONG Wei LI GuiYuan 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,3:10

7Rational design of carbon-based metal-free catalysts for electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction: A review显示文摘Electrochemical CO2 reduction to chemicals or fuels presents one of the most promising strategies for managing the global carbon balance, which yet poses a significant challenge due to lack of efficient and durable electrocatalyst as well as the understanding of the CO2 reduction reaction(CO2RR) mechanism.Benefiting from the large surface area, high electrical conductivity, and tunable structure, carbon-based metal-free materials(CMs) have been extensively studied as cost-effective electrocatalysts for CO2RR.The development of CMs with low cost, high activity and durability for CO2RR has been considered as one of the most active and competitive directions in electrochemistry and material science.In this review article,some up-to-date strategies in improving the CO2RR performance on CMs are summarized.Specifically, the approaches to optimize the adsorption of CO2RR intermediates, such as tuning the physical and electronic structure are introduced, which can enhance the electrocatalytic activity of CMs effectively.Finally, some design strategies are proposed to prepare CMs with high activity and selectivity for CO2RR.Song Liu Hongbin Yang Xiong Su Jie Ding Qing Mao Yanqiang Huang Tao Zhang Bin Liu 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,9:3
8Modeling contaminant transport in homogeneous porous media with fractional advection-dispersion equation显示文摘The newly developed Fractional Advection-Dispersion Equation (FADE), which is FADE was extended and used in this paper for modelling adsorbing contaminant transport by adding an adsorbing term. A parameter estimation method and its corresponding FORTRAN based program named FADEMain were developed on the basis of Nonlinear Least Square Algorithm and the analytical solution for one-dimensional FADE under the conditions of step input and steady state flow. Data sets of adsorbing contaminants Cd and NH4+-N transport in short homogeneous soil columns and conservative solute NaCI transport in a long homogeneous soil column, respectively were used to estimate the transport parameters both by FADEMain and the advection-dispersion equation (ADE) based program CXTFIT2.1. Results indicated that the concentration simulated by FADE agreed well with the measured data. Compared to the ADE model, FADE can provide better simulation for the concentration in the initial lower concentration part and the late higher concentration part of the breakthrough curves for both adsorbing contaminants. The dispersion coefficients for ADE were from 0.13 to 7.06 cm2/min, while the dispersion coefficients for FADE ranged from 0.119 to 3.05 cm1.856/min for NaCI transport in the long homogeneous soil column. We found that the dispersion coefficient of FADE increased with the transport distance, and the relationship between them can be quantified with an exponential function. 9Investigation of hot jet on active control of oblique detonation waves显示文摘The hot jet injection is utilized to actively control the oblique detonation wave,such as initiating and stabilizing an oblique detonation wave at a desired position that is shorter than the length of induction zone,and adjust the height of the oblique detonation wave at the exit of combustor when the oblique detonation wave engine is working on off-design flight conditions.The fifth order Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory(WENO)scheme and a two-step reversible reaction mechanism of the stoichiometric H_2/Air are adopted in the simulations.With the help of hot jet injection,the transition from inert oblique shock wave to the oblique detonation wave immediately occurs near the position of hot jet injection,and consequently the length of combustor can be reduced.The angle of oblique detonation wave also decreases as the hot jet injection approaches the nose of wedge.Additionally,the height of the oblique detonation wave at the exit of combustor can be flexibly adjusted,and also depends on the injection position and the strength of the hot jet.If the velocity of the hot jet is too weak to directly trigger the overall oblique detonation wave at the position of injection,increasing the injection pressure will improve the strength of the hot jet and results in a successful transition.Hongbin LI Jianling LI Cha XIONG Wei FAN Lei ZHAO Wenhu HAN 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,3:2

18Electric-controlled tunable thermal switch based on Janus monolayer MoSSe显示文摘The high-performance,wide-range tunable thermal switches play a significant role in the thermal management,high-power-density intelligent devices,energy systems,etc.However,traditional thermal switch components,such as thermal diodes,suffer from poor stability,small adjustability,low time efficiency,and difficult implementation.Herein,we propose the superior electric-controlled thermal switch(ECTS)based on Janus monolayer MoSSe.The high-effective and asymmetric regulation of the thermal conductivity driven by electric field demonstrates a wide-range adjustable thermal switch ratio,where the peak value reaches 2.09 under the electric field of 0.04 VÅ^(−1).The underlying mechanism is revealed by electronic structures that the interactions between electrons and phonons are renormalized due to the electric field driving charge density redistribution,which ultimately modulates the phonon anharmonicity.The high-efficiency adjustable ECTS component is expected to provide new inspiration for next-generation thermal management and information processing.Donghai Wei E Zhou Xiong Zheng Huimin Wang Chen Shen Hongbin Zhang Zhenzhen Qin Guangzhao Qin 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:0
19Investigation on Strengthening Mechanism of China Low-Activation Ferrite Steel upon Thermo-Mechanical Treatment显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of strengthening mechanisms on the high-temperature mechanical properties of China low-activation ferrite(CLF-1)steel,which underwent thermodynamic design and thermo-mechanical treatment(TMT).The microstructure characterization in the normalized and tempered condition and the TMT condition was carried out using optical microscopy,X-ray diffractometer,and scanning electron microscopy with electron backscatter diffraction.High-resolution transmission electron microscopy was employed to determine the crystallographic structures of precipitated phases.The results indicated that the addition of Ti led to an increase in the allocation of C in MC phase and an enhancement in the content of MC phase.Compared to CLF-P steel in the normalized and tempered condition,a 1.5-fold increase in dislocation density and an order of magnitude improvement in MX phase density were achieved after TMT.The formation of high-density nano-scale MC phases during TMT played a significant role in precipitation strengthening due to their favorable coherent relationship with the matrix and low interfacial free energy.The excellent high-temperature mechanical properties observed in CLF-P steel after TMT can be attributed to the combined effects of precipitation strengthening,dislocation strengthening,and lath strengthening.Dongtian Yang Liangyin Xiong Hongbin Liao Guoping Yang Xiaoyu Wang Shi Liu 2024Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2024,37,2:0
