1Buoyancy effect on heat transfer in rotating smooth square U-duct at high rotation number显示文摘The buoyancy effect on heat transfer in a rotating,two-pass,square channel is experimentally investigated in curent work.The classical copper plate technique is performed to measure the regional averaged heat transfer cofficients.In order to perform a fundamental research,all turbulators are removed away.Two approaches of altering Buoyancy numbers are selected:varying rotation number from 0 to 2.08 at Reynolds number ranges of 10000 to 70000,and varying inlet density ratio from 0.07 to 0.16 at Reynolds number of 10000.And thus,Buoyancy numbers range from 0 to 12.9 for both cases.According to the experimental results,the relationships between heat transfer and Buoyancy numbers are in accord with those obtained under different rotation numbers.For both leading and trailing surface,a critical Buoyancy number exists for each X/D location.Before the critical point,the effect of Buoyancy number on heat transfer is limited;but after that,the Nusselt number ratios show different increase rate.Given the same rotation number,higher wall temperature ratios with its corresponding higher Buoyancy numbers substantially enhance heat transfer on both passages.And the critical exceed-point that heat transfer from trailing surface higher than leading surface happens at the same Buoyancy number for different wall temperature ratios in the second passage.Thus,the stronger buoyancy effect promotes heat transfer enhancement at high rotation number condition.Yang Li Guoqiang Xu Hongwu Deng Shuqing Tian 2014Propulsion and Power Research2014,3,3:6
2Application of Fast Wavelet Analysis on Early Stall Warning in Axial Compressors显示文摘The timely detection of stall inception is of great significance for safe operation and stability control of axial compressor. In the current study, a fast wavelet tool was selected to predict stall precursor in axial compressors with spike-type and modal-wave stall inception. Dynamic pressure was measured in the casing wall by using a collection of time-resolved pressure transducers with circumferential and chord-wise spatial resolution. Fast wavelet analysis with low frequency reconstruction results demonstrate that the initial inception can be detected 110 rotor revolutions prior to stall for modal-wave stall inception in a 1.5 stage axial compressor. For spike-type stall inception, despite the failure of early stall warning via low frequency reconstruction, an increase amplitude frequency band of 0.2–0.8 blade passing frequency was identified using high frequency reconstruction in an isolated-rotor axial compressor. 3Effect of burden and origin sites of premature ventricular contractions on left ventricular function by 7-day Holter monitor显示文摘Recent studies have shown that premature ventricular contractions(PVCs) could enlarge the heart,but its risk factors are incompletely understood as a single 24-hour recording cannot reflect the true PVC burden due to day-to-day variability.Our purpose was to investigate the effect of burden and origin sites on left ventricular(LV) function in patients with PVCs by 7-day Holter electrocardiography(ECG).From May 2012 to August2013,112 consecutive patients with PVCs were recruited from the authors' affiliated hospital.All patients received2-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography,12-lead routing ECG and 7-days Holter ECG.Serum N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) levels were measured.A total of 102 participants with PVCs were included in the final analysis.Origin of PVCs from the tricuspid annulus had the highest burden and NT-proBNP level.LV papillary muscle had a higher LV ejection fraction(EF) level and a lower LV end-systolic dimension(ESD) than other PVC foci(P<0.05).The high burden group had a higher LV end-diastolic dimension(EDD) and LVESD but lower LVEF than the other two groups(P<0.05).Female,older age,physical work,and history of PVCs had a significantly positive correlation with symptoms.Male,older age,physical work,and high burden were positive predictors of enlarged LVEDD,LVESD and higher serum NT-proBNP level,but lower LVEF.Seven-day dynamic ECG Holter monitor showed the true PVC burden on patients with PVCs.PVCs with a lower burden or origin from the LV papillary muscle and the fascicle were relatively benign,while PVCs with a higher burden or origin from the tricuspid annulus may lead to cardiac dysfunction.Wenhua Xu Mingfang Li Minglong Chen Bing Yang Daowu Wang Xiangqing Kong Hongwu Chen Weizhu Ju Kai Gu Kejiang Cao Hailei Liu Qi Jiang Jiaojiao Shi Yan Cui Hong Wang 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,6:4

5HGF percutaneous endocardial injection induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and rescues cardiac function in pigs显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of cardiomyocyte proliferation induced by human hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)in pigs with chronic myocardial infarction(CMI).Methods:A steerable,deflectable 7F catheter incorporating a 27-guage needle was advanced percutaneously to the left ventricular myocardium of 18 pigs with CMI.Pigs were randomized(1:1:1)to receive adenoviral vector HGF(total dose,1×1010 genome copies),which was administered as five injections into the infarcted myocardium(total,1.0 mL),or saline,or Ad-null(control groups).Injections were guided by Ensite NavX left ventricular electroanatomical mapping.HGF and cyclin proteins were detected by western blot and immunoprecipitation analysis.Histological and immunohistochemical analysis determined proliferating cardiomyocytes.Myocardial perfusion and cardiac function were estimated by Gated-Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography(G-SPECT).Results:Western blot analyses showed that HGF were predominantly expressed in the infarct core and border in the myocardium of the infarcted heart.G-SPECT analysis indicated that the HGF group had better cardiac function and myocardial perfusion four weeks after the injection of Ad-HGF than before the injection of Ad-HGF.After treatment there were more proliferating cardiomyocytes in the HGF group compared to either of the control groups.Furthermore,the HGF group myocardial samples expressed higher levels of p-Akt,cyclin A,cyclin E,cyclin D1,cdk2,cdk4 than those in the control groups.Conclusion:The over-expression of HGF activates pro-survival pathways,induces cardiomyocyte proliferation,and improves the perfusion and function of the porcine CMI heart.Zhengxian Tao Bo Chen Yingming Zhao Hongwu Chen Liansheng Wang Yonghong Yong Kejiang Cao Qifeng Yu Danian Ke` Hua Wang Zuze Wu Zhijian Yang 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,3:3
6Swimming behavior of juvenile silver carp near the separation zone of a channel confluence显示文摘Knowledge of locomotion of fish near river confluences is important for prediction of fish distribution in a river network.The flow separation zone near the confluence of a river network is a favorite habitat and feeding place for silver carp,which is one of the four major species of Chinese carp and usually provides positive rheotaxis to water flow.In the current study,a series of laboratory experiments were done to determine the behavioral responses of juvenile silver carp to the hydrodynamic forces near the separation zone of a channel confluence.The locomotion and trajectory of juvenile silver carp were recorded by infrared thermal imaging,while the flow velocity field near the separation zone was measured by a Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV)system.A total of 60 juvenile silver carp were released near the separation zone among which 40 carp swam in the upstream direction.Amongst them,24 carp swam to the tributary and the remaining 16 swam into the main channel.Almost all these 24 carp travelled initially along the boundary of the separation zone near the corner,where flow shear was strongest,and then swam to the tributary.Instead of avoiding zones of strong vorticity,they chose and followed a trajectory along which the flow vorticity was large.On encountering these vortical flows,they increased the tailbeat frequency and decreased the tail-beat amplitude to maintain body stability.These observations provide important knowledge on locomotion of fish near river confluences and are beneficial for the fish habitat protection.Saiyu Yuan Lei Xu Hongwu Tang Yang Xiao Colin Whittaker 2022International Journal of Sediment Research2022,37,1:2

13Auxin signaling module OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF regulates grain yield traits in rice显示文摘Auxin is an important phytohormone in plants, and auxin signaling pathways in rice play key roles in regulating its growth, development, and productivity. To investigate how rice grain yield traits are regulated by auxin signaling pathways and to facilitate their application in rice improvement, we validated the functional relationships among regulatory genes such as OsIAA10, OsSK41, and OsARF21 that are involved in one of the auxin(OsIAA10) signaling pathways. We assessed the phenotypic effects of these genes on several grain yield traits across two environments using knockout and/or overexpression transgenic lines.Based on the results, we constructed a model that showed how grain yield traits were regulated by OsIAA10 and OsTIR1, OsAFB2, and OsSK41 and OsmiR393 in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module and by OsARF21 in the transcriptional regulation of downstream auxin response genes in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module. The population genomic analyses revealed rich genetic diversity and the presence of major functional alleles at most of these loci in rice populations. The strong differentiation of many major alleles between Xian/indica and Geng/japonica subspecies and/or among modern varieties and landraces suggested that they contributed to improved productivity during evolution and breeding. 14Experimental study of the settling of twin spherical particles released side by side: The impact of particle size, fluid viscosity, initial spacing, and particle density显示文摘The settling of solid particles in a fluid is an important process that needs to be considered in many fields of research.For example,the interactions among particles and between particles and the surrounding fluid are important topics in studying suspended sediment transport and water clarification.In this paper,the settling processes and interactions of twin spherical particles released side by side were experimentally studied.The Reynolds number varied in the range of 1-300,which is within the transition zone.Particle Tracking Velocimetry(PTV)and Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV)were utilized to capture the settlement trajectory,and provide insight into the flow fields around the particles.The influences of particle size,fluid viscosity,initial spacing,and particle density on the settling process were systematically investigated.The experimental results reveal that the initial spacing between the twin particles(l_(0)*)and the Reynolds number(Re)are the two most important factors affecting particle settling.The interaction between particles comprises only repulsion when the initial spacing is small,while the density of particles has little effect on the final settling state when the initial spacing is not very small.The flow fields around different particles are similar for the same Re,leading to similar final settlement behaviors,except for the case of l_(0)*=0,when the influence of particle rotation cannot be ignored.Except for the case of l_(0)*=0,although the particle density has little effect on the final settling behavior,it affects the repulsive process during settling.The final repulsive distance between the twin particles is highly dependent on Re and l_(0)*.Two critical Re values exist(~10 and~100),where the repulsive distance is negatively correlated with Re when Re<10,but it is positively correlated with Re when Re>100.However,the repulsive distance is always negatively correlated with l_(0)*.These findings can improve understanding of more complex phenomena such as the particle group settling process and sediment transport.Yang Xiao Jieqing Liu Pei Zhang Jian Zhou Dongfang Liang Zhihao Wang Taotao Zhang Saiyu Yuan Hongwu Tang 2023International Journal of Sediment Research2023,38,1:1

16三氧化二砷逆转人胃癌细胞SGC7901/ADR耐药性的作用机制(英文)显示文摘Objective: To investigate the reversal effect of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) on the multidrug resistance of human gas-tric tumor SGC7901/ADR cell line to adriamycin (ADM) and its reversal mechanisms. Methods: The non-cytotoxic concentra-tion of As2O3 and the sensitivity of SGC7901/ADR cells to ADM were detected by MTT assay. The drug concentration and P-gp function of SGC7901/ADR cells were measured with flow cytometry (FCM), and the impacts of As2O3 on the GST-π and Topo II expressions of SGC7901/ADR cells were analyzed by immunohistochemical method. Results: As2O3 at 0.4 to 0.8 μmol/L concentrations were not significantly cytotoxic to SGC7901/ADR cells. As2O3 at 0.8 μmol/L could improve the sensitivity of SGC7901/ADR cells to ADM via inhibiting P-gp function, down-regulating GST-π expression and increasing the intracellular accumulation of ADM in SGC7901/ADR cells.
