| 1 | Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine preparations in patients with chronic heart failure:a prospective,single-blind,randomized,controlled,and multicenter clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF) of Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) preparations.METHODS: This prospective, single-blind, randomized, controlled, and multicenter clinical trial began on September 17, 2008, and was completed on June 25, 2011. A total of 340 inpatients, aged 40-79 years, with exacerbating CHF from 10 hospitals were enrolled and randomly allocated within 24 h of admission. The trial included three intervention periods. During hospitalization, the control group received western medication for CHF and the treatment group received Danhong injection with Shenfu injection or Shenmai injection. After discharge,all patients were treated with Qiliqiangxin capsules and Buyiqiangxin tablets or a placebo for 6 months. After the 6-month intervention, both groups received only continuous western medication. The primary endpoint was all-cause mortality.The efficacy assessments were as follows: B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), Lee's HF score, the 6-minute walking test(6 MWT), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ). The safety assessments were as follows: blood and urine routine examination, hepatic and renal function, electrolytes in blood and adverse events.RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the treatment group showed a 30.99% reduction in all-cause mortality and an improved survival rate.The treatment group showed greater improvement in 6 MWT(P = 0.02) than the control group on discharge, after 12-month follow-up, there was a time-group interaction for MLHFQ(P = 0.03). | 3 | Biodegradation of nicosulfuron by a novel Alcaligenes faecalis strain ZWS11显示文摘A bacterial strain ZWS11 was isolated from sulfonylurea herbicide-contaminated farmland soil and identified as a potential nicosulfuron-degrading bacterium. Based on morphological and physicochemical characterization of the bacterium and phylogenetic analysis of the 16 S r RNA sequence, strain ZWS11 was identified as Alcaligenes faecalis. The effects of the initial concentration of nicosulfuron, inoculation volume, and medium p H on degradation of nicosulfuron were investigated. Strain ZWS11 could degrade 80.56% of the initial nicosulfuron supplemented at 500.0 mg/L under the conditions of p H 7.0, 180 r/min and30°C after incubation for 6 days. Strain ZWS11 was also capable of degrading rimsulfuron,tribenuron-methyl and thifensulfuron-methyl. Four metabolites from biodegradation of nicosulfuron were identified, which were 2-aminosulfonyl-N, N-dimethylnicotinamide(M1), 4, 6-dihydroxypyrimidine(M2), 2-amino-4, 6-dimethoxypyrimidine(M3) and2-(1-(4,6-dimethoxy-pyrimidin-2-yl)-ureido)-N,N-dimethyl-nicotinamide(M4). Among the metabolites detected, M2 was reported for the first time. Possible biodegradation pathways of nicosulfuron by strain ZWS11 were proposed. The degradation proceeded mainly via cleavage of the sulfonylurea bridge, O-dealkylation, and contraction of the sulfonylurea bridge by elimination of a sulfur dioxide group. | 8 | Particle size distribution of bed materials in the sandy river bed of alluvial rivers显示文摘The particle size distribution of bed materials in the sandy river bed of alluvial rivers is important in the study of topics such as friction, river bed evolution, erosion, and siltation. It also can reflect the dependency relation between river bed sediment and flow intensity. In this paper, the critical pattern of sediment movement in the near-wall region of a sandy river bed was analyzed. According to the principle of momentum balance, the critical settling-rising condition of bed material in a sandy river bed was found to be instantaneous turbulent velocity equal to 2.7 times the sediment settling velocity in quiescent water. Based on a vertical instantaneous turbulent velocity with a Gaussian distribution, a theoretical relation for calculating the particle size distribution of bed materials in a sandy river bed without pre-known characteristic grain sizes was developed by solving a stochastic equation. The formula is verified using measured data, and the results show that the proposed formula was in accordance with the measured data. An OFA attacker can disrupt the parameter adaptation by interfering measures, which results in some operating parameters of the objective function deviating from their optimal settings. We first model the interactive process between the OFA attacker and defense system using differential game theory, and propose a defense strategy by introducing a new metric, namely, threat factor. Then,we obtain the optimal defense strategy by proving the existence of the saddle point of the proposed model. Moreover,this defense strategy is scale-free such that it can conquer a large number of OFAs in a decentralized way. | 15 | Loess erosion change modeling during heavy rainfall显示文摘A typical gully sub-basin with a complex geomorphological form is used to do a model test of gravity erosion of loess by considering the sequence of slopes in a prototype gully creating a sequence of underlying surface forms in the upper reaches.The results show that the runoff from heavy rainfall is the main external force for the erosion of loess,and also is an important influencing factor to stimulate and intensify the development of gravity erosion.The soil structure and the height of the critical surface have a direct impact on the possibility of gravity erosion.Spatially,the upper section of the drainage channel mainly experiences undercutting and headcut erosion,the middle section mainly experiences lateral erosion and gravity erosion,and the lower section alternately experiences sedimentation or alluvial erosion.Rainfall splash erosion produces a large amount of sand to yield high concentration mud flows in the middle and lower sections of the channel.Because of the mud flows the flood flow is obviously larger than the runoff volume formed by rainfall in a small watershed.The flood formed by high-intensity rainfall brings a large amount of sediment into the downstream rivers along the channel,indicating that under the condition that high-intensity rainfall on the Loess Plateau,lots sediment will enter the Yellow River,and the erosion deformation occurs on all slopes.Further the steep slope drainage flow causes undercutting and lateral erosion,and the soil body moves down along the slope under the action of gravity.The gully in the middle section still experience sediment washing in both depth and width,and the downstream gully continues to experiences sedimentation due to the reduction of the gradient,reflecting the adaptive adjustment of water flow and the boundary.Headcut erosion occurred on almost all slopes during different periods of rainfall,while gravity erosion mostly occurred on steep slope sections during periods of high-intensity rainfall. | Hongwu Zhang Guangquan Liu Chensu Zhao Luohao Zhang Qiang Zhang Heng Fu Shuai Cao | 2023 | International Journal of Sediment Research2023,38,1: | 1 |

Methods: The non-cytotoxic concentra-tion of As2O3 and the sensitivity of SGC7901/ADR cells to ADM were detected by MTT assay. The drug concentration and P-gp function of SGC7901/ADR cells were measured with flow cytometry (FCM), and the impacts of As2O3 on the GST-π and Topo II expressions of SGC7901/ADR cells were analyzed by immunohistochemical method. Results: As2O3 at 0.4 to 0.8 μmol/L concentrations were not significantly cytotoxic to SGC7901/ADR cells. As2O3 at 0.8 μmol/L could improve the sensitivity of SGC7901/ADR cells to ADM via inhibiting P-gp function, down-regulating GST-π expression and increasing the intracellular accumulation of ADM in SGC7901/ADR cells.
