| 1 | An energy-efficient geographic routing based on cooperative transmission in wireless sensor networks显示文摘In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient cooperative geographic routing (ECGR) to reach energy-efficient routing in wireless sensor networks (WSN). ECGR takes full advantage of cooperative diversity and geographic routing. At physical layer, cooperative nodes transmit the same packet in a cooperative way to achieve farther transmission distance of each hop without more energy consumption. While at the network layer, ECGR adaptively selects the appropriate cooperative nodes to form forwarding clusters to forward the packet to the destination when we consider energy consumption and geographic information of the sensor nodes. Meanwhile, in order to fully assess the energy consumption, we take circuit energy consumption of the sensor nodes into consideration. | 3 | Ginsenoside Rg3 inhibits colon cancer cell migration by suppressing nuclear factor kappa B activity显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the mechanism of the inhibitory effect of ginsenoside Rg3 on colon cancer cell migration.METHODS: Transwell migration assays were performed to investigate the inhibitory effect of ginsenoside Rg3 on SW480 cell migration. Electrophoretic mobility shift assays(EMSAs) and dual luciferase reporter assays were used to study the suppression capability of Rg3 on nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) activity. Western blotting was adopted to determine protein levels.RESULTS: Two-hundred micromolar ginsenoside Rg3 significantly inhibited SW480 cell migration(P < 0.05). EMSA showed that Rg3 suppressed the DNA binding ability of NF-κB. Dual luciferase reporter assay showed that Rg3 decreased NF-κB-regulated gene transcription(P < 0.01). Western blots indicated that Rg3 down-regulated expression of the NF-κB-regulated matrix metalloproteinase 9,cyclooxygenase-2 and C-Myc. An NF-κB inhibitor,pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate,enhanced the inhibitory effect of Rg3 on SW480 cell migration.CONCLUSION: Ginsenoside Rg3 has a strong antitumor migration capability by suppressing NF-κB activity and expression of NF-κB-regulated gene products. | 4 | Effects of vegetation height and density on soil temperature variations显示文摘Reduction in vegetation cover caused by human activities has a great impact on soil temperature. It is important to assess how soil temperature responds to reduction of vegetation height and density. In this paper we first report the trends of mean annual soil surface and air temperatures recorded at the meteorological stations near the Ecological Research Station for Grassland Farming (ERSGF) from 1961 to 2007, then we setup an experiment using reed (Phragmites australis) stalks with different heights and densities to simulate effects of different vegetation height and density on soil and air temperatures. The warming rates of the mean annual soil and air temperatures were 0.043 and 0.041C a 1 , respectively. Changes of soil temperature were characterized by both increased mean annual maximum and minimum soil temperatures. At the experimental site, mean daily temperature, mean daily maximum soil and air temperatures increased significantly. In contrast, mean daily minimum soil temperature increased significantly while mean daily minimum air temperature decreased significantly as the height and density of reed stalks reduced during the experimental period. Mean diurnal soil temperature ranges were smaller than mean diurnal air temperature ranges. | 5 | A 2-kb Mycovirus Converts a Pathogenic Fungus into a Beneficial Endophyte for Brassica Protection and Yield Enhancement显示文摘Mycoviruses are viruses that infect fungi,and hypovirulence-associated mycoviruses have the potential to control fungal diseases.However,it is unclear how mycovirus-mediated hypovirulent strains live and survive in the field,and no mycovirus has been applied for field crop protection.In this study,we found that a previously identified small DNA mycovirus(SsHADV-1)can convert its host,Sclerotinia sclerotiorum,from a typical necrotrophic pathogen to a beneficial endophytic fungus.SsHADV-1 downregulates the expression of key pathogenicity factor genes in S.sclerotiorum during infection.When growing in rapeseed,the SsHADV-1-infected strain DT-8 significantly regulates the expression of rapeseed genes involved in defense,hormone signaling,and circadian rhythm pathways.As a result,plant growth is promoted and disease resistance is enhanced.Field experiments showed that spraying DT-8 at the early flowering stage can reduce the disease severity of rapeseed stem rot by 67.6%and improve yield by 14.9%.Moreover,we discovered that SsHADV-1 could also infect other S.sclerotiorum strains on DT-8-inoculated plants and that DT-8 could be recovered from dead plants.These findings suggest that the mycoviruses may have the ability to shape the origin of endophytism.Our discoveries suggest that mycoviruses may influence the origin of endophytism and may also offer a novel strategy for disease control in which mycovirus-infected strains are used to improve crop health and release mycoviruses into the field. | Hongxiang Zhang Jiatao Xie Yanping Fu Jiasen Cheng Zheng Qu Zhenzhen Zhao Shufen Cheng Tao Chen Bo Li Qianqian Wang Xinqiang Liu Binnian Tian David B.Collinge Daohong Jiang | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,10: | 9 |

But corresponding research lacks the dynamic damage characteristics of the polypropylene fiber(fiber of low elastic modulus) and steel fiber(fiber of high elastic modulus) reinforced concrete under medium strain rate(10-6 s-1-10-4 s-1). In order to study the effect of strain rate on the damage characteristics of fiber reinforced concrete during the full curve damage process, the real time dynamic acoustic emission(AE) technique was applied to monitor the damage process of fiber reinforced concrete at three strain rates. The AE wavelet energy spectrum in ca8 frequency band and average AE peak frequency at three strain rates were analyzed. With the accumulation of damage, the AE wavelet energy spectrum in ca8 frequency band increased first and then decreased, and the average AE peak frequency increased gradually. With the increase of strain rate, the AE wavelet energy spectrum in ca8 frequency band and average AE peak frequency decreased gradually. The polypropylene fiber content has more obvious effect on the Dynamic increase factor(DIF) of the peak stress than the steel fiber content. After the experiments of 12 kinds of samples of the first and second batches were completed successfully, astronauts packed and brought them back to the ground by ShenzhouII spacecraft. By studying processing and formation on semiconductor and optoelectronics materials, metal alloys and metastable materials, functional single-crystal, micro-and nano-composite materials encapsulated in sample ampoules both in space and on Earth, we expect to explore some physical and chemical processes and mechanism of the materials formation that are normally obscured and therefore are difficult to study quantitatively on the ground due to the gravity-induced convection, to obtain the processing and synthesis technology for preparing high quality materials, and lead to the improvement and development of materials processing techniques on Earth, and also develop the experiment device and comprehensive ability for materials experiment in microgravity environment. | 11 | Ice core dust particulate by XPS-SEM/EDAX——Impact of dust particulate on SO_4^(2-) record in ice cores显示文摘The ice core dust particulate sampled from Mt. Xixabangma has been analyzed by means of X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) and scanning electron microscope with energy dispersion X-ray analysis (SEM/EDAX). The results show that the contents of SO42- and SO32- in the surface layer of the dust are significantly higher than those in the subsurface layer (with the exception of organic sulfide). This difference indicates that the surface SOx has been captured and then chemically converted by the atmospheric dust particulate before its deposition with snow, which is obviously different from those inner layer sulfates and sulfites contained by dust itself. In addition, it has been determined by SEM/EDAX that the dust contains relatively high concentrations of transition metal elements such as Fe and Ti oxides which could function as photocatalysts to the conversion of SOx adhered on the surface of the dust, and consequently accelerate the deposition of SOx to snow. | 13 | ASAF: altered spontaneous activity fingerprinting in Alzheimer’s disease based on multisite fMRI显示文摘Several monocentric studies have noted alterations in spontaneous brain activity in Alzheimer's disease (AD), although there is no consensus on the altered amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations in AD patients. The main aim of the present study was to identify a reliable and reproducible abnormal brain activity pattern in AD. The amplitude of local brain activity (AM), which can provide fast mapping of spontaneous brain activity across the whole brain, was evaluated based on multisite rs-fMRI data for 688 subjects (215 normal controls (NCs), 221 amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) 252 AD). Two-sample t-tests were used to detect group differences between AD patients and NCs from the same site. Differences in the AM maps were statistically analyzed via the Stouffer's meta-analysis. Consistent regions of lower spontaneous brain activity in the default mode network and increased activity in the bilateral hippocampus/parahippocampus, thalamus, caudate nucleus, orbital part of the middle frontal gyrus and left fusiform were observed in the AD patients compared with those in NCs. Significant correlations (P?0.05, Bonferroni corrected) between the normalized amplitude index and Mini-Mental State Examination scores were found in the identified brain regions, which indicates that the altered brain activity was associated with cognitive decline in the patients. Multivariate analysis and leave-one-site-out cross-validation led to a 78.49% prediction accuracy for single-patient classification. The altered activity patterns of the identified brain regions were largely correlated with the FDG-PET results from another independent study. | 14 | Ultra-strong and thermally stable nanocrystalline CrCoNi alloy显示文摘Grain refinement to the nanocrystalline regime is the most effective way to strengthen materials but this often deteriorates the grain-size thermal stability and plasticity. Here we manufactured a nanocrystalline face centred cubic Cr Co Ni medium entropy alloy with columnar grains via magnetron sputtering. Compression of CrCoNi pillars with diameters of ~1 μm revealed a record high yield strength of ~5 GPa for pillars with face centred cubic structures and engineering plastic strain of > 30%. The alloy possessed an outstanding grain-size thermal stability even at 1073 K. Both nanocrystalline grain size and a high density of nanotwins/stacking faults are critical to the exceptional yield strength. Deformation twinning, grains refinement during deformation, grain boundary sliding and random grain orientation all contribute to the large plasticity. Virtual optical network(VON) mapping algorithm is used to allocate necessary resources in the physical infrastructure to the VON requests(VRs). In this paper, we investigate the opaque VON mapping problems in elastic optical networks(EONs). Based on the concept of available spectrum adjacency(AvS A) on links or paths, we consider both node resource and AvS A on links for node mapping, and present a link mapping method which chooses the routing and spectrum plan whose AvS A on paths is the largest among all the candidates. Finally, the overall VON mapping algorithm(i.e., AvS A-opaque VON mapping, AvS A-OVONM) coordinated node and link mapping is proposed. | 16 | Spatial pattern dynamics among co-dominant populations in early secondary forests in Southwest China显示文摘The canopy of subtropical natural forests usually consists of several co-dominant populations(CDPs),which play a crucial role in forest structure,formation of the forest environment,and ecological function.However,little attention has been given to changes in spatial patterns in CDPs during natural succession.Cyclobalanopsis glauca(Thunb.)Oerst.,Quercus variabilis Blume,and Pinus yunnanensis var.tenuifolia W.C.Cheng & Y.W.Law are canopy species that form CDPs in zonal forests along the Nanpan River in southwest China.We used the g(r) function and its bivariate distribution model,g_(12)(r),which is based on distances between pairs of points,to explore the dynamics of the three CDP species with respect to distribution patterns and spatial correlations in two secondary forests(one 30-year-old forest [30-YF] and one 57-year-old forest [57-YF]).The following key results were obtained:(1) there was a clumped pattern in the 30-YF,but the intensity of aggregation varied among populations and life stages.The distribution pattern gradually shifted to become random with longer succes sion time(i.e.,30-YF vs.57-YF),expansion of the observation scale(r=0-20 m),and at later life stages.(2) Aside from the mid-sized C.glauca trees and large P.yunnanensis trees,the trees repulsed each other at certain scales(r=0-2,5-6,11-12,14-16 m) in the 30-YF.Almost all of the life stages in the CDPs were independently correlated.This independent correlation was exacerbated by a longer succession time.(3) An increase in life stages and longer succession also promoted independent changes in intraspecific correlations.(4) Intraspecific correlations were stronger than interspecific correlations.Our results showed that reducing exclusive competition is essential to coexistence in CDPs.Inter-and intra-specific repulsion may occur at the same time,but intraspecific repulsion was the main driving force behind the random distributions and independent correlations. | Yuanfa Li Minghui Li Angang Ming Hongxiang Wang Sufang Yu Shaoming Ye | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,4: | 3 |

| 19 | Metabolic regulation of T cell development by Sinl-mTORC2 is mediated by pyruvate kinase M2显示文摘Glucose metabolism plays a key role in thymocyte development. The mammalian target of rapamycin complex 2 (mT0RC2) is a critical regulator of cell growth and metabolism, but its role in early thymocyte development and metabolism has not been fully studied. We show here that genetic ablation of Sinl, an essential component of mTORC2, in T lineage cells results in severely impaired thymocyte development at the CD4^- CD8^- double negative (DN) stages but not at the CD4^+ CD8^+ double positive (DP) or later stages. Notably, Sinl-deficient DN thymocytes show markedly reduced proliferation and glycolysis.Importantly, we discover that the M2 isoform of pyruvate kinase (PKM2) is a novel and crucial Sinl effector in promoting DN thymocyte development and metabolism. At the molecular level, we show that Sinl-mTORC2 controls PKM2 expression through an AKT-dependent PPAR-y nuclear translocation. The plasma concentration-time curveof CTN immediate-released formulation after oral administration in rats was used as theweight function. The predicted plasma concentration-time curve of CTN-SRPs simulatedaccording to the incidence of variant angina during 24 h was used as the response func-tion. Then the desired drug release profile of CTN-SRPs was calculated based on deconvo-lution using weight function and response function, and subsequently used for guiding theformulation optimization. CTN-SRPs were prepared with the combinations of PVP, polox-amer 127 and EC as matrix using fluidized bed technology. An orthogonal design was em-ployed to obtain the optimal formulation with its release profile similar with the desiredone. Pharmacokinetic studies validated that the actual plasma concentration-time curve ofthese optimized CTN-SRPs was similar with the predicted one. In addition, the percent er-rors(%PE) of CTN plasma concentrations in 8–12 h were less than 10%.
