Discovery and Significance of High CH_4 Primary Fluid Inclusions in Reservoir Volcanic Rocks of the Songliao Basin,NE China显示文摘Comparing compositions of the fluid inclusions in volcanic rocks to the contents and isotopes of the gases in corresponding volcanic reservoirs using microthermometry, Raman microspectroscopy and mass spectrum analysis, we found that: (1) up to 82 mole% methane exists in the primary inclusions hosted in the reservoir volcanic rocks; (2) high CH4 inclusions recognized in the volcanic rocks correspond to CH4-bearing CO2 reservoirs that are rich in helium and with a high 3He/4He ratio and which show reversed order of δ 13C in alkane; (3) in gas reservoirs of such abiotic methane (>80%) and a mix of CH4 and CO2, the enclosed content of CH4 in the volcanic inclusions is usually below 42 mole%, and the reversed order of δ 13C in alkane is sometimes irregular in the corresponding gas pools; (4) a glassy inclusion with a homogeneous temperature over 900°C also contains a small portion of CH4 although predominantly CO2. This affinity between gas pool and content of inclusion in the same volcanic reservoirs demonstrates that magma-originated gases, both CH4 and CO2, have contributed significantly to the corresponding gas pools and that the assumed hydrocarbon budget of the bulk earth might be much larger than conventionally supposed.WANG Pujun HOU Qijun WANG Keyong CHEN Shumin CHENG Rihui LIU Wanzhu LI Quanlin 2007Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2007,81,1:14
Mesenchymal stem cell treatment improves outcome of COVID-19 patients via multiple immunomodulatory mechanisms显示文摘The infusion of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients with mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)potentially improves clinical symptoms, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. We conducted a randomized,single-blind,placebo-controlled(29 patients/group)phase II clinical trial to validate previous findings and explore the potential mechanisms.Patients treated with umbilical cord-derived MSCs exhibited a shorter hospital stay(P=0.0198)and less time required for symptoms remission(P=0.0194)than those who received placebo.Based on chest images, both severe and critical patients treated with MSCs showed improvement by day 7(P=0.0099)and day 21(P=0.0084).MSC-treated patients had fewer adverse events.MSC infusion reduced the levels of C-reactive protein, proinflammatory cytokines, and neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)and promoted the maintenance of SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies. To explore how MSCs modulate the immune system,we employed single-cell RNA sequencing analysis on peripheral blood. Our analysis identified a novel subpopulation of VNN2+hematopoietic stem/progenitorlike(HSPC-like)cells expressing CSF3R and PTPRE that were mobilized following MSC infusion.Genes encoding chemotaxis factors—CX3CR1 and L-selectin—were upregulated in various immune cells.MSC treatment also regulated B cell subsets and increased the expression of costimulatory CD28 in T cells in vivo and in vitro. In addition,an in vivo mouse study confirmed that MSCs suppressed NET release and reduced venous thrombosis by upregulating kindlin-3 signaling.Together, our results underscore the role of MSCs in improving COVID-19 patient outcomes via maintenance of immune homeostasis.Rongjia Zhu Tingdong Yan Yingmei Feng Yan Liu Hongcui Cao Gongxin Peng Yanlei Yang Zhen Xu Jingqi Liu Wei Hou Xiaoyue Wang Zhe Li Luchan Deng Shihua Wang Jing Li Qin Han Hongling Li Guangliang Shan Yinghao Cao Xingyan An Jianshe Yan Zhonghui Zhang Huafei Li Xuebin Qu Jiaqi Zhu Shumin Zhou Jiao Wang Fengchun Zhang Jinming Gao Ronghua Jin Dayong Xu Yan-Qing Ma Tao Huang Shuang Peng Zhi Zheng Ilia Stambler Eric Gilson Lee Wei Lim Alexey Moskalev Antonio Cano Sasanka Chakrabarti Brun Ulfhake Huanxing Su Haoying Xu Sihuan Xu Feng Wei Holly MBrown-Borg Kyung-Jin Min Georgina Ellison-Hughes Calogero Caruso Kunlin Jin Robert Chunhua Zhao 2021Cell Research2021,31,12:5
CoPt-Co hybrid supported on amino modified SiO2 nanospheres as a high performance catalyst for hydrogen generation from ammonia borane显示文摘CoPt-Co hybrids were successfully supported on amino modified SiO2 nanospheres by a chemical reduction method at a temperature of 278 K.The solid carrier i.e.amino modified SiO2,provides numerous anchoring sites for the metal nanoparticles(NPs)to improve the dispersion while reducing the size of metal NPs.The supported NPs displayed a narrow particle size distribution on the SiO2 surface with an average diameter of 12 nm.The XRD results alongside with the binary alloy phase diagram suggest that the resulted NPs are bimetallic, composed of CoPt and amorphous Co.Among the prepared materials, the solid with the specific composition of SiO2@Pt0.1Co0.9was proved to be effective catalyst for ammonia borane(AB)hydrolysis in aqueous solution. The turnover frequency(TOF)value of the supported nanocatalyst was 25.59molH2min^-1·molM^-1,almost twice as that of unsupported Pt0.1Co0.9NPs while the activation energy was 37.05 kJ mol^-1.Furthermore,the SiO2@Pt0.1Co0.9composite manifested high catalytic activity even after five cycles of reuse.Hongming Zhang Dandan Ke Lina Cheng Xuelei Feng Xuewei Hou Jin Wang Yuan Li Shumin Han 2019Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2019,29,1:2

Open and close-ended CoMoS_(3) nanotubes for hydrogen evolution in acidic and basic conditions显示文摘Electrochemical hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) is a promising route to harvest high-purity hydrogen(H_(2)).Efficient and selective energy transformations rely on the development of novel catalytic materials in terms of compositions and structures that survive under harsh conditions. This study focuses on a unique nanostructured CoMoS_(3) catalyst for HER under strong acidic and basic electrolyte. The morphologies of the catalysts are fine-tuned by altering reaction times in a hydrothermal reaction.Limited reaction time generates twisted thin-sheet CoMoS_(3)(12 h),which spins into a nanotube with an extended synthetic time(16 h).As the reaction time increases to 20 h,the CoMoS_(3) composite creates open-ended nanotubes, facilitating reactants to penetrate and react actively in the inner space of the nanotubes.Further, prolonged reaction time(24 h) results in the formation of the close-ended CoMoS_(3) nanotubes. We find out that the open-ended structure plays an important role in achieving fast kinetics as well as creating more active sites in HER reaction. The catalyst delivers a profound performance under both acidic and basic conditions, with overpotentials of 93 mV and 115 mV(at a current density of 10 mA/cm^(2)) in the acidic and basic electrolytes, respectively. Moreover,it shows superior long-term durability in both solutions. This work will provide a great foundation for understanding the morphology effect with the same composited catalyst towards energy conversion reactions, not limited to HER.Yuan Li Xuewei Hou Jing Gu Veronika Mikhaylova Kangli Chen Hongming Zhang Shumin Han 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6:0
cFos-ANAB:A cFos-based Web Tool for Exploring Activated Neurons and Associated Behaviors显示文摘cFos is one of the most widely-studied genes in the field of neuroscience.Currently, there is no systematic database focusing on cFos in neuroscience. We developed a curated database-cFos-ANAB-a cFos-based web tool for exploring activated neurons and associated behaviors in rats and mice, comprising 398 brain nuclei and sub-nuclei,and five associated behaviors:pain, fear, feeding, aggression, and sexual behavior.Direct relationships among behaviors and nuclei(even cell types)under specific stimulating conditions were constructed based on cFos expression profiles extracted from original publications. Moreover, overlapping nuclei and sub-nuclei with potentially complex functions among different associated behaviors were emphasized, leading to results serving as important clues to the development of valid hypotheses for exploring as yet unknown circuits.Using the analysis function of cFos-ANAB,multi-layered pictures of networks and their relationships can quickly be explored depending on users’purposes. These features provide a useful tool and good reference for early exploration in neuroscience. The cFos-ANAB database is available at www.cfos-db.net.Fan Wang Wenjie Sun Lei Chang Kefang Sun Leying Hou Linna Qian Chaoyin Jin Jiandong Chen Jiali Pu Panmeng Ye Shuang Qiu Jianhong Luo Shumin Duan Baorong Zhang Zhihua Gao Xiaojun Hu 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,10:0
Aza-BODIPY based probe for photoacoustic imaging of ONOO;in vivo显示文摘The effective detecting ONOO^(-)variations in vivo is of great importance to well understand the complex pathophysiological processes. We reported here a photoacoustic(PA) probe AZB-1 for imaging ONOO;in vivo. AZB-1 showed an originally strong photoacoustic signal at 660 nm. And its PA signal can be turned off by shutting the ICT effect caused by the conjugated electron withdrawing group at 2-position of the aza-BODIPY core. Moreover, the probe was successfully employed to imaging ONOO^(-)variations in inflammatory mice models. Wisely utilized this strategy may serve as powerful platforms for the preparation of novel PA chemosensors.Danghui Ma Shumin Hou Chaeeon Bae Thanh Chung Pham Songyi Lee Xin Zhou 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,12:0
