3Comparative Analysis of Characteristics of the Coupled and Decoupled Parallel Mechanisms显示文摘The existence of coupling makes the parallel mechanism possess some special advantages over the serial mechanism, while it is just the coupling that brings about the parallel mechanism some limitations, such as complex workspace, high nonlinear relationship between input and output, difficulties in static and dynamic analysis, and the development of control system, which restricts its application fields. The decoupled parallel mechanism is currently one of the research focuses of the mechanism fields, while the study on the different characteristics between the decoupled and coupled parallel mechanisms has not been reported. Therefore, this paper performs the systematic comparative analysis of the 3-RPUR and the 3-CPR parallel mechanisms. The features of the two mechanisms are described and their movement forms are analyzed with screw theory. The inverse and forward displacement solutions are solved and the Jacobian matrices are obtained. According to the Jacobian matrices and by using the theory of physical model of the solution space, the workspace, dexterity, velocity, payload capability, and stiffness of the mechanisms are analyzed with plotting the indices atlases. The research results prove that the effects of the coupling on the parallel mechanism are double-side, and then the adoption of the decoupled parallel mechanism should be determined by the requirements of the concrete application situation. 4Ti/(Ti,Cr)N/CrN multilayer coated 316L stainless steel by arc ion plating as bipolar plates for proton exchange membrane fuel cells显示文摘Arc ion plating(AIP) is applied to form Ti/(Ti,Cr)N/Cr N multilayer coating on the surface of 316 L stainless steel(SS316L) as bipolar plates for proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs). The characterizations of the coating are analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). Interfacial contact resistance(ICR) between the coated sample and carbon paper is 4.9 m cm^2 under 150 N/cm^2,which is much lower than that of the SS316 L substrate. Potentiodynamic and potentiostatic tests are performed in the simulated PEMFC working conditions to investigate the corrosion behaviors of the coated sample. Superior anticorrosion performance is observed for the coated sample, whose corrosion current density is 0.12 μA/cm2. Surface morphology results after corrosion tests indicate that the substrate is well protected by the multilayer coating. 6Liver Enzymes Concentrations Are Closely Related to Pre-diabetes:Findings of the Shanghai Diabetes Study Ⅱ (SHDS Ⅱ)显示文摘Objective To investigate the relationship of liver enzymes with hyperglycemia in a large population in Shanghai and identify the association between liver enzymes and insulin resistance.Methods A total of 3 756 participants were enrolled.Each participant underwent an oral glucose tolerance test and completed a questionnaire.Anthropometric indices were recorded and serum samples were collected for measurement.Results Liver enzymes concentrations were independently associated with i-IGT,IFG+IGT,and diabetes.With the increase of ALT and GGT concentrations,ORs for i-IGT,IFG+IGT,and diabetes increased gradually.By comparing patients in the highest quartile of GGT concentrations or ALT concentrations with those in the lowest quartile (Q1),ORs for i-IGT,IFG+IGT,or diabetes was significant after adjustment.Both ALT and GGT concentrations were linearly correlated with HOMA-IR and independently associated with HOMA-IR [ALT OR (95% CI):2.56 (1.51-4.34) P=0.00;GGT OR (95% CI):2.66 (1.53-4.65) P=0.00].Conclusion Serum ALT and GGT concentrations were closely related to pre-diabetes and diabetes in the Shanghai population and positively associated with insulin resistance.GAO Fei PAN Jie Min HOU Xu Hong FANG Qi Chen LU Hui Juan TANG Jun Ling GU Hui Lin PAN Zhi Jian YAO You Hua SHEN Wei Zhen JIA Wei Ping 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,1:15
7Progress and Prospects of Salt Lake Research in China显示文摘China has unique salt lake resources, and they are distributed in the east of Eurasian salt lake subzone of the Northern Hemisphere Salt Lake Zone, mainly concentrated in the regions with modern mean annual precipitation lower than 500 mm. This paper preliminarily reviews the progress made in salt lake research in China for the past 60 years. In the research of Paleoclimate and paleoenvironment from salt lake sediments, a series of salts have been proposed to be indicators of paleoclimate, and have been well accepted by scholars. The chloride-sulfate depositional regions of the west Qaidam and the east Tarim have been revealed to be the drought center of China since the Quaternary, and more than 6 spreading stages of arid climate(salt forming) have been identified. Five pan-lake periods with highstands have been proved to exist during the late Quaternary on the Tibetan Plateau. In mineral resource prospecting and theories of the forming of salt deposits: the atlas(1:2500000) of hydrochemical zoning of salt lakes on the Tibetan Plateau has been compiled for the first time, revealing the zonal distribution and transition from carbonate type to chloride type from south to north and presenting corresponding mineral assemblages for different type of salt lakes; several large continental salt deposits have been discovered and the theory of continental potash deposition has been developed, including the salt deposition in deep basins surrounded by high mountains, the mineral deposition from multistage evolution through chains of moderate or shallow lakes with multilevels, the origin of potassium rich brines in gravel layers, and the forming of potassium deposits through the inheriting from ancient salt deposits, thus establishing the framework of 'Continental Potash Deposition Theory'; several new types of Mg-borate deposits have been discovered, including the ulexite and pinnoite bed in Da Qaidam Lake, Qinghai, the pinnoite and kurnakovite bed in Chagcam Caka, Tibet, the kurnakovite bed in Lake Nyer, and the corresponding model of borate deposition from the cooling and dissolution of boron rich brines was proposed based on principles of geology, physics and chemistry. The anti-floatation-cold crystallization method developed independently has improved the capacity of KCl production to 3 million tons per year for the Qarham, serving the famous brand of potash fertilizer products. One 1.2 million ton K-sulfate production line, the biggest in the world, has been built in Lop Nor, and K-sulfate of about 1.6 million tons was produced in 2015. Supported by the new technology, i.e. brine preparation in winter-cooling-solarization-isolation-lithium deposition from salt gradient solar pond' the highest lithium production base at Zabuye Lake(4421 m), Tibet, has been established, which is the first lithium production base in China that reaches the year production of 5000 tons of lithium carbonate. The concept of Salt lake agriculture(Salt land agriculture) has been established based on the mass growth of Dunaliella and other bacillus-algae and the occurrence of various halophytes in saltmarsh and salt saline-alkali lands, finding a new way to increase arable lands and develop related green industry in salt rich environments. 9Type Synthesis and Characteristic Analysis of a Family of 2-DOF Rotational Decoupled Parallel Mechanisms显示文摘It is widely used for the rotational parallel mechanism in the field of spatial orientation. While owing to the existence of coupling, the forward kinematic solution and the control of the general rotational parallel mechanism are especially difficult. If decoupling can be realized, the kinematic analysis of the mechanism will be very simple. Presently, the research of the parallel mechanism is focused on the inverse solution and structure optimization, and there is a lack of rotation decoupled parallel mechanisms (DPMs). So this paper proposes a family of 2 degree of freedom (DOF) rotational DPMs based on the four-bar linkage mechanism, and performs a characteristic analysis. This family of DPMs is composed of a moving platform, a fixed base and three limbs. Taking U__RRU__SPU DPM as an example, the motion feature of this DPM is analyzed with the constraint screw method, and its mobility is calculated by using the Modified Kutzbach-Grübler criterion. The inverse and forward displacement problems of the proposed parallel mechanism are solved. The decoupled feature of the proposed parallel mechanism is validated by the deduction of the expression of the Jacobian matrix. Three kinds of singularity conditions of this DPM are discussed, and the atlases of the output parameter concerning different geometric parameters are plotted with the theory of the physical model of the solution space. 11Interpretation Criteria for Standardized Western Blot for the Predominant Species of Borrelia Burgdorferi Sensu Lato in China显示文摘Objective Western blotting (WB;immunoblotting) is a widely used tool for the serodiagnosis of Lyme borreliosis (LB),but so far,no generally accepted criteria for its performance and interpretation have been established in China.The present study was designed to determine the criteria for standardized Western blot for the predominant species of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato in China,in which WB was produced with strain PD91 as the representative strain attributed to predominant genospecies Borrelia garinii of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato.Methods Approximately 13 bands between 14 and 100 kD were differentiated for strain PD91 by using Gel-Pro analysis software.In a study with 631 serum samples (taken from 127 patients with Lyme borreliosis and 504 controls),all observed bands were documented.To establish criteria for a positive WB result for strain PD91,receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used.Results The following interpretation criteria were recommended:for IgG,at least one band of P83/100,P58,P39,P30,OspC,P17,P66,and OspA;for IgM,at least one band of P83/100,P58,OspA,P30,OspC,P17 or P41.In addition,syphilis,leptospirosis and other related diseases should be excluded when the positive band is P41 in IgM.For IgG criteria,the sensitivity is 73.2%,the specificity is 99.4% and Youden index is 0.726;for IgM criteria,the sensitivity is 50.6%,the specificity is 93.1% and Youden index is 0.437.Conclusion Standardization of WB assays is necessary for comparison of results from different laboratories.Moreover,the criteria of other genospecies of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato should be determined in the future to complete the criteria of WB for the diagnosis of the Lyme disease in China.YI JIANG XUE-XIA HOU ZHEN GENG QIN HAO KANG-LIN WAN 2010Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2010,23,5:13
12Seroepidemiological Investigation of Lyme Disease and Human Granulocytic Anaplasmosis among People Living in Forest Areas of Eight Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Lyme disease and Human granulocytic anaplasmosis are tick‐borne diseases caused by Borrelia burgdorferi and Anaplasma phagocytophilum respectively. We have investigated infection and co-infection of the two diseases in the population of forest areas of eight provinces in China by measuring seroprevalence of antibodies against B. burgdorferi and A. phagocytophilum. Methods Forest areas in 8 provinces were chosen for investigation using whole sampling and questionnaire survey methods. 3 669 serum samples from people in the forest areas were tested for the presence of antibodies by indirect immunofluorescent assay (IFA). Results Seroprevalence against B. burgdorferi was 3% to 15% and against A. phagocytophilum was 2% to 18% in the study sites in the 8 provinces in China. We also found co-infection of B. burgdorferi and A. phagocytophilum in 7 of the 8 provinces (the exception being the Miyun area in Beijing). The seroprevalence for both B. burgdorferi and A. phagocytophilum was significantly higher among people exposed to ticks than among people who were not exposed to ticks. 13Qingnaoyizhi decoction suppresses the formation of glial fibrillary acidic protein-positive cells in cultured neural stem cells by inhibiting the Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Inactivation of the Janus kinase 2(JAK2)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3) signaling axis plays a crucial role in determining the fate of neural stem cells(NSCs).Qingnaoyizhi decoction(QNYZD) has been used for the treatment of vascular dementia and has shown to improve synaptic remodeling. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) containing QNYZD(CSF-QNYZD) on the differentiation of cultured NSCs and the involvement of the JAK2/STAT3 pathway.METHODS: The protein expression levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP), tubulin, drosophila mothers against decapentaplegic protein(SMAD-1), STAT3, and phosphorylated-STAT3 were detected by western immunoblot analysis in the groups: control, CSF, JAK/STAT inhibitor(AG490),CSF-QNYZD, and CSF-XDZ(CSF-Xidezhen). The differentiation of NSCs was determined by immunofluorescence staining. The proliferation of NSCs was measured using the Cell Counting Kit-8 proliferation assay.RESULTS: Compared with the control group,CSF-QNYZD and AG490 significantly increased the number and expression of tubulin-positive cells, reduced the number and expression of GFAP-positive cells, and down-regulated the expression of p-STAT3. However, CSF-QNYZD also decreased the expression of SMAD-1 and STAT3.CONCLUSION: Enhanced neuronal differentiation may be associated with the down-regulation of glial differentiation instead of promoting proliferationin treated NSCs. Furthermore, QNYZD may play a direct role in suppressing the formation of GFAP-positive cells and enhancing neuronal differentiation by inhibiting JAK2/STAT3 activation. 14Pressure balance and imbalance in the optic nerve chamber: The Beijing Intracranial and Intraocular Pressure (iCOP) Study显示文摘To determine the interdependence of intracranial pressure(ICP) and intraocular pressure(IOP) and how it affects optic nerve pressures, eight normal dogs were examined using pressure-sensing probes implanted into the left ventricle, lumbar cistern, optic nerve subarachnoid space in the left eye, and anterior chamber in the left eye. This allowed ICP, lumbar cistern pressure(LCP), optic nerve subarachnoid space pressure(ONSP) and IOP to be simultaneously recorded. After establishing baseline pressure levels, pressure changes that resulted from lowering ICP(via shunting cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) from the ventricle) were recorded. At baseline, all examined pressures were different(ICP>LCP>ONSP), but correlated(P<0.001). As ICP was lowered during CSF shunting, IOP also dropped in a parallel time course so that the trans-lamina cribrosa gradient(TLPG) remained stable(ICP-IOP dependent zone). However, once ICP fell below a critical breakpoint, ICP and IOP became uncoupled and TLPG changed as ICP declined(ICP-IOP independent zone). The optic nerve pressure gradient(ONPG) and trans-optic nerve pressure gradient(TOPG) increased linearly as ICP decreased through both the ICP-IOP dependent and independent zones. We conclude that ICP and IOP are coupled in a specific pressure range, but when ICP drops below a critical point, IOP and ICP become uncoupled and TLPG increases. When ICP drops, a rise in the ONPG and TOPG creates more pressure and reduces CSF flow around the optic nerve. 16Microstructure, Mechanical Properties, Corrosion Behavior and Biocompatibility of As-Extruded Biodegradable Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn Alloy显示文摘The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of biodegradable Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn alloys were investigated by the optical microscopy, X-ray diffractometer and a universal material testing machine.The corrosion and degradation behaviors were studied by potentiodynamic polarization method and immersion test in a simulated body fluid(SBF). It was found that the as-extruded Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn alloy has the fine equiaxed grains which underwent complete dynamic recrystallization during the hot extrusion process, with the second phase particles of Mg_2Sn precipitated on the grain boundaries and inside the grains. The tensile strength and elongation of as-extruded Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn alloys were 244 ± 3.7 MPa and 19.3% ± 1.7%, respectively. The potentiodynamic polarization curves in SBF solution indicated the better corrosion resistance of the as-extruded Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn alloy in the SBF solution. Immersion test in the SBF solution for 720 h revealed that the corrosion rate of as-extruded Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn alloy was nearly 4 ± 0.33 mm/year. The hemolysis rate of as-extruded Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn alloy was lower than the safe value of 5% according to ISO 10993-4. As-extruded Mg–3Sn–1Zn–0.5Mn alloy showed good biocompatibility after being implanted into the dorsal muscle and the femoral shaft of the rabbit, and no abnormalities were found after short-term implantation. 17Type Synthesis Method for the Translational Decoupled Parallel Mechanism Based on Screw Theory显示文摘Coupling is the significant characteristic of parallel mechanism,while it is just the coupling that brings about much difficulty for the configuration design,theoretical analysis and the development of the control system of the parallel mechanism. And recently,the research on the decoupled parallel mechanism becomes one of the research hot points in the mechanism fields. In this paper,a type synthesis method for the translational decoupled parallel mechanism( TDPM) is proposed based on the screw theory. To achieve the decoupling characteristics of the translational parallel mechanism,the translational decoupled criterion for type synthesis of the branches are presented in this paper. According to this criterion and the realization conditions of rotational degree of freedom of the mechanism proposed former,a large number of branches for the TDPM are obtained. Taking the three degrees of freedom( DOFs) TDPM as an example,the process of type synthesis is discussed in detail. Using this proposed type synthesis method,a serial of translational decoupled parallel mechanisms, including but not limited to all the existing typical 3-DOF TDPMs, are obtained, which identifies the correctness and effective of the method. 20Combination of acoustic radiation force impulse imaging, serological indexes and contrast-enhanced ultrasound for diagnosis of liver lesions显示文摘AIM To assess the value of combined acoustic radiation force impulse(ARFI) imaging, serological indexes and contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) in distinguishing between benign and malignant liver lesions. METHODS Patients with liver lesions treated at our hospital were included in this study. The lesions were divided into either a malignant tumor group or a benign tumor group according to pathological or radiological findings. ARFI quantitative detection, serological testing and CEUS quantitative detection were performed and compared. A comparative analysis of the measured indexes was performed between these groups. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves were constructed to compare the diagnostic accuracy of ARFI imaging, serological indexes and CEUS, alone or in different combinations, in identifying benign and malignant liver lesions. RESULTS A total of 112 liver lesions in 43 patients were included, of which 78 were malignant and 34 were benign. Shear wave velocity(SWV) value, serum alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) content and enhancement rate were significantly higher in the malignant tumor group than in the benign tumor group(2.39 ± 1.20 m/s vs 1.50 ± 0.49 m/s, 18.02 ± 5.01 ng/m L vs 15.96 ± 4.33 ng/m L, 2.14 ± 0.21 d B/s vs 2.01 ± 0.31 d B/s; P < 0.05). The ROC curve analysis revealed that the areas under the curves(AUCs) of SWV value alone, AFP content alone, enhancement rate alone, SWV value + AFP content, SWV value + enhancement rate, AFP content + enhancement rate and SWV value + AFP content + enhancement rate were 85.1%, 72.1%, 74.5%, 88.3%, 90.4%, 82.0% and 92.3%, respectively. The AUC of SWV value + AFP content + enhancement rate was higher than those of SWV value + AFP content and SWV value + enhancement rate, and significantly higher than those of any single parameter or the combination of any two of parameters.CONCLUSION The combination of SWV, AFP and enhancement rate had better diagnostic performance in distinguishing between benign and malignant liver lesions than the use of any single parameter or the combination of any two of parameters.
