| 5 | Property and performance amelioration of pelagic clay from the East Pacific显示文摘To make use of the pelagic clay as polymer filling,the properties of clay sediments from the ocean investigation zone of China in the East Pacific were studied by the SSA,XRF,ICP/MAS,FTIR,XRD,SEM,DTA/TG and granularity distributing etc.,and experiments were settled to improve the whiteness and activation of the clay based on these data.Compared with land clay,pelagic clay holds many particular features,such as fine particles and incompact accumulation,worse crystallization and more defects,high activity,complex mineral and chemical components,and low whiteness etc.Processing the purified pelagic clay with acids and zinc,then baked it at different temperatures,the whiteness of clay can be increased from 23.8% to 73.1%,and the optimized conditions is:consistency of vitriol 25%,ratio of clay to water 4∶1,reaction time 4h,reaction temperature 90℃,dosage of zinc 2.0 g/L,and baking temperature 700℃.And the SSA of whited clay is increased too.Using the dry milling method to modify the pelagic clay with organic reagents,the optimized technique is KH550,concentration 1.5%,reaction time 20 min.XRD,FTIR and SEM testing indicate that the mechanism of organic activation was mainly surface absorbing and chemical combination secondly. | Peiping ZHANG Shufeng LIU Xuefa SHI Huahua LU Juanjuan LIU Xiaoguo CHI | 2008 | Global Geology2008,11,2: | 1 |

| 8 | Positive allosteric regulation of PAC1-R up-regulates PAC1-R and its specific ligand PACAP显示文摘PAC1-R is a recognized preferential receptor for the neuropeptide of pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide(PACAP),which mediates neuroprotective and nerve regenerative activities of PACAP.In this study,we found that in both PAC1R-CHO cells with high expression of PAC1R-eGFP and retinal ganglion cells(RGC-5)with the natural expression of PAC1-R,oligo-peptide PACAP(28-38)and the positively charged arginine-rich penetrating peptide TAT,as positive allosteric modulators of PAC1-R,significantly trigger the nuclear translocation of PAC1-R.The chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP)-PCR results show that the nuclear translocated PAC1-R binds with the promoter regions of PAC1-R and its specific ligand PACAP.The up-regulated promoter activities of PAC1-R and PACAP induced by PACAP(28-38)or TAT are positively correlative with the increase of the expression levels of PAC1-R and PACAP.Moreover,the nuclear translocation of PAC1-R induced by PACAP(28-38)or TAT is significantly inhibited by the mutation of PAC1-R on Cys25 and the palmitoylation inhibitor 2-bromopalmitate.Meanwhile,the increase in both PAC1-R and PACAP levels and the neuroprotective activities of PACAP(28-38)and TAT in MPPinduced cell model of Parkinson’s disease are synchronously inhibited by 2-bromopalmitate,which are positively correlated with the nuclear translocation of PAC1-R induced by PACAP(28-38)or TAT.Bioinformatics analysis and motif enrichment analysis following ChIP-sequencing show that the transcription factors including SP1,Zic2,GATA1,REST and YY1 may be recruited by nuclear PAC1-R and involved in regulating the promoter activities of PAC1-R and PACAP.ChIP-sequencing and related bioinformatics analysis show that the downstream target genes regulated by the nuclear PAC1-R are mostly involved in the process of cellular stress and related to neuroprotection,neuronal genesis and development. | Guangchun Fan Zhengxin Tao Shang Chen Huahua Zhang Rongjie Yu | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,5: | 1 |

| 12 | Kinematic evolution of fold-and-thrust belts in the Yubei-Tangbei area: Implications for tectonic events in the southern Tarim Basin显示文摘The Yubei-Tangbei area in the southern Tarim Basin is one of the best-preserved Early Paleozoic northeast-southwest trending fold-and-thrust belts within this basin.This area is crucial for the exploration of primary hydrocarbon reservoirs in northwestern China.In this study,we constructed the structural geometric morphology of the Yubei-Tangbei area using geophysical logs,drilling,and recent two-and three-dimensional(2-D and 3-D)seismic data.The Early Paleozoic fault-propagation folds,the Tangnan triangle zone,fault-detachment folds,and trishear fault-propagation folds developed with the detachment of the Middle Cambrian gypsum–salt layer.According to a detailed chronostratigraphic framework,the growth strata in the Upper Ordovician–Lower Silurian layer formed by onlapping the back limb of the asymmetric fault-propagation folds,which therefore defines the timing of deformations.The changes in kink band hinges and amplitudes in the Permian–Carboniferous and Cenozoic folding strata suggest that the evolution of the fold-and-thrust belts followed a sequential evolution process rather than a simultaneous one.Above the pre-existing Precambrian basement structure,the Yubei-Tangbei fold-and-thrust belts can be divided into four tectonic evolution stages:Late Cambrian,Late Ordovician to Early Carboniferous,Carboniferous to Permian,and Cenozoic.The northwestern-verging Cherchen Fault is part of the piedmont fold-and-thrust system of the southern Tarim foreland basin.We interpreted its strata as a breakthrough trishear fault-propagation fold that developed in three phases:Mid–Late Ordovician,Silurian to Middle Devonian,and Triassic to present.These tectonic events are responses of the Altyn-Tagh and Kunlun collisional orogenic belts and the Indian-Eurasian collision.The inherited deformation and structural modification in the southern Tarim Basin may be an indicator of the growth and evolution of peripheral orogens. | Yiqiong Zhang Dengfa He Bin Wu Huahua Gao | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,6: | 1 |
| 13 | Tectonic features,genetic mechanisms and basin evolution of the eastern Doseo Basin,Chad显示文摘The features of the unconformity,fault and tectonic inversion in the eastern Doseo Basin,Chad,were analyzed,and the genetic mechanisms and basin evolution were discussed using seismic and drilling data.The following results are obtained.First,four stratigraphic unconformities,i.e.basement(Tg),Mangara Group(T10),lower Upper Cretaceous(T5)and Cretaceous(T4),four faulting stages,i.e.Barremian extensional faults,Aptian–Coniacian strike-slip faults,Campanian strike-slip faults,and Eocene strike-slip faults,and two tectonic inversions,i.e.Santonian and end of Cretaceous,were developed in the Doseo Basin.Second,the Doseo Basin was an early failed intracontinental passive rift basin transformed by the strike-slip movement and tectonic inversion.The initial rifting between the African and South American plates induced the nearly N-S stretching of the Doseo Basin,giving rise to the formation of the embryonic Doseo rift basin.The nearly E-W strike-slip movement of Borogop(F1)in the western section of the Central African Shear Zone resulted in the gradual cease of the near north-south rifting and long-term strike-slip transformation,forming a dextral transtension fault system with inherited activity but gradually weakened in intensity(interrupted by two tectonic inversions).This fault system was composed of the main shear(F1),R-type shear(F2-F3)and P-type shear(F4-F5)faults,with the strike-slip associated faults as branches.The strike-slip movements of F1 in Cretaceous and Eocene were controlled by the dextral shear opening of the equatorial south Atlantic and rapid expanding of the Indian Ocean,respectively.The combined function of the strike-slip movement of F1 and the convergence between Africa and Eurasia made the Doseo Basin underwent the Santonian dextral transpressional inversion characterized by intensive folding deformation leading to the echelon NE-SW and NNE-SSW nose-shaped uplifts and unconformity(T5)on high parts of the uplifts.The convergence between Africa and Eurasia caused the intensive tectonic inversion of Doseo Basin at the end of Cretaceous manifesting as intensive uplift,denudation and folding deformation,forming the regional unconformity(T4)and superposing a nearly E-W structural configuration on the Santonian structures.Third,the Doseo Basin experienced four evolutional stages with the features of short rifting and long depression,i.e.Barremian rifting,Aptian rifting–depression transition,Albian–Late Cretaceous depression,and Cenozoic extinction,under the control of the tectonic movements between Africa and its peripheral plates. | GAO Huahua DU Yebo WANG Lin GAO Simin HU Jie BAI Jianfeng MA Hong WANG Yuhua ZHANG Xinshun LIU Hao | 2023 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,5: | 0 |

The affections of process conditions and quantity of pelagic clay to the properties of composites were analyzed by testing their mechanical properties, thermo stability and barrier properties. According to test the structure of composites,it is indicated that pelagic clay has good compatibility with HDPE. | 15 | Properties and organic activation of ocean clay in the East Pacific显示文摘In order to make use of ocean clay reasonably and excavate its potential applications the properties of ocean clay in Chinese investigating area of the East Pacific have been tested with the chemical analysis, XRFS, ICP/MAS, granulometry and SSA, etc. The results show that the clay sediments of this area are rich in clay minerals, fine granularity, bigger SSA, bigger water absorbability and lower ion changing ability etc. To improve the adaptability of ocean clay and macromolecule materials, using the dry milling method with silane, aluminate, stearic acid coupling agents etc the properties of ocean clay are improved. The effect has been evaluated by testing the water absorbing of the modified ocean clay and their dispersing in paraffin liquid. The result is that KH550 is better than any other active reagents, and the best activation technics is that 1.5% (volume) of KH550 quantity, 20min of milling time. | 16 | The finding of natural GaN crystals in sediments from the East Pacific Ocean显示文摘The first finding of natural GaN crystals is reported in sediments from the East Pacific. They are identified by multiple micro-beam techniques such as TEM, EDS and EELS. Detailed examinations show that these GaN crystals are euhedral and authigenic, and belong to the hexagonal system (space group P63mc) with cell parameters: a = b = 0.3186 nm, c = 0.5178 nm. Structure data fit closely with those of the synthetic GaN crystals obtained from high-temperature and high-pressure experi- ments. Moreover, the nearly perfect euhedral form of the sample excludes the possible synthetic origin of the GaN crystals as artifacts with long transport. The sampling localities are located between the Clarion and Clipperton Fracture Zone in the East Pacific where ongoing hydrothermal activities, deformation, and volcanic eruptions are very intensive. | 17 | Chemical characterization of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from multiple cooking cuisines and purification efficiency assessments显示文摘Cooking process can produce abundant volatile organic compounds(VOCs),which are harmful to environment and human health.Therefore,we conducted a comprehensive analysis in which VOCs emissions from multiple cuisines have been sampled based on the simulation and acquisition platform,involving concentration characteristics,ozone formation potential(OFP)and purification efficiency assessments.VOCs emissions varied from 1828.5 to 14,355.1μg/m^(3),with the maximumand minimumvalues fromBarbecue and Family cuisine,respectively.Alkanes and alcohol had higher contributions to VOCs from Sichuan and Hunan cuisine(64.1%),Family cuisine(66.3%),Shandong cuisine(69.1%)and Cantonese cuisine(69.8%),with the dominant VOCs species of ethanol,isobutane and n-butane.In comparison,alcohols(79.5%)were abundant for Huaiyang cuisine,while alkanes(19.7%),alkenes(35.9%)and haloalkanes(22.9%)accounted for higher proportions from Barbecue.Specially,carbon tetrachloride,n-hexylene and 1-butene were the most abundant VOCs species for Barbecue,ranging from 8.8%to 14.6%.The highest OFP occurred in Barbecue.The sensitive species of OFP for Huaiyang cuisine were alcohols,while other cuisines were alkenes.Purification efficiency assessments shed light on the removal differences of individual and synergistic control technologies.VOCs emissions exhibited a strong dependence on the photocatalytic oxidation,with the removal efficiencies of 29.0%–54.4%.However,the high voltage electrostatic,wet purification and mechanical separation techniques played a mediocre or even counterproductive role in the VOCs reduction,meanwhile collaborative control technologies could not significantly improve the removal efficiency.Our results identifiedmore effective control technologies,which were conductive to alleviating air pollution from cooking emissions. | Hanyu Zhang XuejunWang Xianbao Shen Xin Li BoboWu Guohao Li Huahua Bai Xinyue Cao Xuewei Hao Qi Zhou Zhiliang Yao | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,8: | 0 |
| 18 | A novel small positive allosteric modulator of neuropeptide receptor PAC1-R exerts neuroprotective effects in MPTP mouse Parkinson's disease model显示文摘As a neuropeptide pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide(PACAP)-preferring receptor,PAC1-R mediates effective neuroprotective activity.Based on the finding that the antibiotic doxycycline(DOX)with clinical neuroprotective activity functions as a positive allosteric modulator(PAM)of neuropeptide PACAP receptor 1(PAC1-R),we use virtual and laboratory screening to search for novel small molecule PAMs of PAC1-R.Virtual screening is carried out using a small-molecule library TargetMol.After two-level precision screening with Glide,the top five compounds with the best predicted affinities for PAC1-R are selected and named small positive allosteric modulator 1-5(SPAM1-5).Our results show that only 4-[4-(4-Oxo-3,4-2-yl)butanamido]methyl)benzoic acid(SPAM1)has stronger neuroprotective activity than DOX in the MPP+PD cell model and MPTP PD mouse model.SPAM1 has a higher affinity for PAC1-R than DOX,but has no antibiotic activity.Moreover,both SPAM1 and DOX block the decrease of PAC1-R level in mouse brain tissues induced by MPTP.The successful screening of SPAM1 offers a novel drug for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease targeting the PAC1-R. | Guangchun Fan Shang Chen Zhengxin Tao Huahua Zhang Rongjie Yu | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9: | 0 |
