| 1 | Altered trends in carbon uptake in China’s terrestrial ecosystems under the enhanced summer monsoon and warming hiatus显示文摘The carbon budgets in terrestrial ecosystems in China are strongly coupled with climate changes.Over the past decade,China has experienced dramatic climate changes characterized by enhanced summer monsoon and decelerated warming.However,the changes in the trends of terrestrial net ecosystem production(NEP)in China under climate changes are not well documented.Here,we used three ecosystem models to simulate the spatiotemporal variations in China's NEP during 1982–2010 and quantify the contribution of the strengthened summer monsoon and warming hiatus to the NEP variations in four distinct climatic regions of the country.Our results revealed a decadal-scale shift in NEP from a downtrend of–5.95 Tg C/yr^2(reduced sink)during 1982–2000 to an uptrend of 14.22 Tg C/yr^2(enhanced sink)during 2000–10.This shift was essentially induced by the strengthened summer monsoon,which stimulated carbon uptake,and the warming hiatus,which lessened the decrease in the NEP trend.Compared to the contribution of 56.3%by the climate effect,atmospheric CO2 concentration and nitrogen deposition had relatively small contributions(8.6 and 11.3%,respectively)to the shift.In conclusion,within the context of the global-warming hiatus,the strengthening of the summer monsoon is a critical climate factor that enhances carbon uptake in China due to the asymmetric response of photosynthesis and respiration.Our study not only revealed the shift in ecosystem carbon sequestration in China in recent decades,but also provides some insight for understanding ecosystem carbon dynamics in other monsoonal areas. | Honglin He Shaoqiang Wang Li Zhang Junbang Wang Xiaoli Ren Lei Zhou Shilong Piao Hao Yan Weimin Ju Fengxue Gu Shiyong Yu Yuanhe Yang Miaomiao Wang Zhongen Niu Rcmg Ge Huimin Yan Mei Huang Guoyi Zhou Yongfei Bai Zongqiang Xie Zhiyao Tang Bingfang Wu Leiming Zhang Nianpeng He Qiufeng Wang Guirui Yu | 2019 | National Science Review2019,6,3: | 24 |

On the U-Pb concordia diagram data of three samples yield up-per intercept ages of 1948-1917 Ma. Thus, these basement gneisses are of Paleoproterozoic. Rock association of these basement gneisses includes tonalite, syenite and paragneiss, not belonging to a sedimentary package. | 4 | Preparation of Zn-doped TiO_2 nanotubes electrode and its application in pentachlorophenol photoelectrocatalytic degradation显示文摘Zn-doped titanium oxide (TiO2) nanotubes electrode was prepared on a titanium plate by direct anodic oxidation and immersing method in sequence. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) showed that the Zn-doped TiO2 nanotubes were well aligned and organized into high density uniform arrays with diameter ranging from 50 to 90 nm. The length and the thickness were about 200 and 15 nm respectively. TiO2 anatase phase was identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD). X-ray photoelectronspec-troscopy (XPS) indicated that Zn ions were mainly located on the surface of TiO2 nanotubes in form of ZnO clusters. Compared with TiO2 nanotubes electrode,about 20 nm red shift in the spectrum of UV-vis absorption was observed. The degradation of pentachlorophenol (PCP) in aqueous solution under the same condition (initial concentration of PCP: 20 mg/L; concentration of Na2SO4: 0.01 mol/L and pH: 7.03) was carried out using Zn-doped TiO2 nanotubes electrode and TiO2 nanotubes electrode. The degradation rates of PCP using Zn-doped TiO2 nanotubes electrode were found to be twice and 5.8 times as high as that using TiO2 nanotubes electrode by UV radiation (400 μw/cm2) and visible light radiation (4500 μw/cm2),respectively. 73.5% of PCP was removed using Zn-doped TiO2 nanotubes electrode against 48.5% removed using TiO2 nanotubes electrode in 120 min under UV radiation. While under visible light radiation,the degradation efficiency of PCP was 18.4% using Zn-doped TiO2 nano-tubes electrode against 3.2% using TiO2 nanotubes electrode in 120 min. The optimum concentration of Zn doping was found to be 0.909%. | 5 | Impact of dissolved organic matter on the photolysis of the ionizable antibiotic norfloxacin显示文摘Norfloxacin(NOR), an ionizable antibiotic frequently used in the aquaculture industry, has aroused public concern due to its persistence, bacterial resistance, and environmental ubiquity.Therefore, we investigated the photolysis of different species of NOR and the impact of a ubiquitous component of natural water — dissolved organic matter(DOM), which has a special photochemical activity and normally acts as a sensitizer or inhibiter in the photolysis of diverse organics; furthermore, scavenging experiments combined with electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR) were performed to evaluate the transformation of NOR in water. The results demonstated that NOR underwent direct photolysis and self-sensitized photolysis via hydroxyl radical(U OH) and singlet oxygen(1O2) based on the scavenging experiments. In addition, DOM was found to influence the photolysis of different NOR species, and its impact was related to the concentration of DOM and type of NOR species. Photolysis of cationic NOR was photosensitized by DOM at low concentration, while zwitterionic and anionic NOR were photoinhibited by DOM, where quenching of U OH predominated according to EPR experiments, accompanied by possible participation of excited triplet-state NOR and1O2. Photo-intermediate identification of different NOR species in solutions with/without DOM indicated that NOR underwent different photodegradation pathways including dechlorination, cleavage of the piperazine side chain and photooxidation, and DOM had little impact on the distribution but influenced the concentration evolution of photolysis intermediates. | 8 | A Discussion on the Origin of Shale Reservoir Inter-Laminar Fractures in the Shahejie Formation of Paleogene, Dongying Depression显示文摘This paper was conducted on the shale reservoir in the Dongying depression in the Shahejie Formation of Paleogene. Based on detailed core description, rock thin sections, argon ion polishing, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) analysis, CT scanning and carbon-oxygen isotopic test, the formation mechanism of the inter-laminar fractures(or seams) and their development conditions were discussed by comprehensive analysis of the diagenetic evolution features and the reservoir space evolution characteristics. The results show that the laminated composite pattern in Dongying depression was dominated by vertical distribution of laminated calcite and clay minerals. Contrasted to the traditional understanding, development degree of inter-laminar fractures was much lower. Pure fluid between layers cannot exist without framework minerals, and the pre-existing well connected pore or horizontal overpressure micro seam was favorable paths of fluid migration. From the points of inter-laminar fractures origin mechanism and its evolution, the so called seams, were much more complex than traditional understanding that hydrocarbon generation raised the pore pressure and led to the parallel microfractures. But the inter-laminar fractures had little relationship with that whether the lamination was developed or bedding boundary was clear or not. In fact, the shale reservoir inter-laminar fractures were not rigorous fracture. They were controlled by pre-existing inter-granular pore(or seam) or dissolved pore, which distributed along carbonate laminae boundary and were connected by later super pressure, dissolution and the seepage force. And the development conditions were burial depth(bigger than 3 000 m) and the Ro value(>0.6%). | 16 | Bi-prism-based single-lens three dimensional digital image correlation system with a long working distance: Methodology and application in extreme high temperature deformation test显示文摘As a novel three dimensional digital image correlation(3 D DIC) method, the bi-prism-based single lens(BSL) 3 D DIC method has been proposed and developed in recent years. Making use of a bi-prism, this method is able to perform a 3 D DIC measurement using only a single camera. Thus, the integration level of a BSL 3 D DIC system could be much higher than that of the double-camera3 D DIC system. In this paper, using a small-angle bi-prism and a camera with a longer focal length, a special BSL 3 D DIC system with a long working distance is designed for measurements in extreme environments. The principle of the system is first studied,and practical methods are then proposed for the system set-up and the determination of system parameters. Then, feasibility of the measurement system is verified by out-of-plane rigid-body translation tests. | 17 | Electrocatalytic dechlorination of 2,4,5-trichlorobiphenyl using an aligned carbon nanotubes electrode deposited with palladium nanoparticles显示文摘Palladium loaded carbon nanotubes cathode with well-aligned nanotubes array was successfully fabricated on a titanium foil (Pd/CNTs/Ti) using a chemical vapor deposition technique and subsequent electrochemical deposition method. Pd particles were well dispersed on CNTs wall surfaces with average sizes no more than 20 nm, in most cases around 10 nm. Experiments for dechlorination of 2,4,5-trichlorobiphenyl (PCB 29) in methanol/water solution were carried out for the first time using Pd/CNTs/Ti cathode for investigation of its performance in electrocatalytic dechlorination of PCBs. Results show that Pd/CNTs/Ti presented better dechlorination efficiency (up to 90% in 6 h) than Pd/Ti and Pd/graphite cathodes owing to unique properties owned by CNTs, which benefited enhanced dechlorination of PCB 29. Complete dechlorination for PCB 29 was observed and biphenyl was identified to be final dechlorination product. | 20 | In situ SEM-DIC technique and its application to characterize the high-temperature fatigue crack closure effect显示文摘In situ high-temperature(maximum: 650℃) experiments for fatigue crack growth on single edge-notched GH4169 superalloy specimens have been performed in scanning electron microscopy(SEM). In order to investigate the crack closure behavior,digital image correlation(DIC) method was applied to measure the full-field displacement and strain fields around the crack tip.The deformation carrier(speckle) was fabricated on the polished specimen surface with Zr O2 powders having a good hightemperature resistance, and the speckle patterns were recorded during the fatigue test by SEM. In consideration of the distortion of SEM images, the unabridged model and the bicubic model were used to correct the spatial distortion, and the distortion parameters can be determined by a calibration test. It is shown that the unabridged model makes a better contribution towards improving SEM-DIC measurement accuracy. Based on the deformation field, the mode Ι stress intensity factor range ?K and the crack opening displacement(COD) can be calculated for evaluating the crack closure effect. Additionally, the crack propagation was monitored using SEM and optical microscope.
