Downregulation of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells may underlie enhanced Th1 immunity caused by immunization with activated autologous T cells显示文摘规章的 T 房间(Treg ) 在免疫系统动态平衡起重要作用,并且可以被压制涉及反肿瘤免疫的 Th1 免疫反应也涉及肿瘤免疫忍耐。 Qi Cao Li Wang Fang Du Huiming Sheng Yan Zhang Juanjuan Wu Baihua Shen TianweiShen Jingwu Zhang Dangsheng Li Ningli Li 2007Cell Research2007,17,7:5
Immunization with autologous T cells enhances in vivo anti-tumor immune responses accompanied by up-regulation of GADD45β显示文摘Immunization with inactivated autoreactive T cells may induce idiotype anti-idiotypic reactions to deplete autoreac-tire T cells, which are involved in autoimmune diseases. However,it is unknown whether attenuated activated healthyautologous T-cell immunization could increase anti-tumor immune responses. To this end,C57B1/6 mice were immunizedwith attenuated activated autologous T cells. The splenocytes from immunized mice showed a higher proliferative abil-ity than that from naive mice. The special phenotype analysis showed that there were more CDS+T cells and CD62L+T cells in immunized mice after 24 h of culture with 10% fetal calf serum complete medium in vitro(P<0.01).Theseresults demonstrated that this immunization may activate T cells in vivo.Furthermore, the splenocytes from immunizedmice revealed resistance to activation-induced cell death(AICD)in vitro. To further study the relative genes that areresponsible for the higher proliferation and resistance to AICD,the expression of Fas/Fas ligand(FasL)and GADD45βwas measured by real-time PCR.The results indicated that GADD45β transcription was higher in the splenocytes fromimmunized mice than that in the naive mice.In addition, the Fas expression showed a parallel higher, but FasL did notchange obviously. To investigate the biologic functions induced by immunization in vivo,a tumor model was establishedby EL-4 tumor cell inoculation in C57/B1 mice.Mice receiving autologous T-cell immunization had significantly inhibitedtumor growth in vivo(P<0.01).This study implicated that immunization with attenuated activated autologous T cellsenhances anti-tumor immune responses that participate in tumor growth inhibition.Li Wang~(1,2,*) Fang Du~(1,2,*) Qi Cao~(1,2) Huiming Sheng~(1,2) Baihua Shen~(1,2) Yan Zhang~(1,2) Yingna Diao~(1,2) Jingwu Zhang~(1,2) Ningli Li~(1,2) ~1Shanghai diao Tong UniversiO,School of Medicine,280 Chongqing Road,Shanghai 200025,China ~2Shanghai Institute of Immunology,280 Chongqing Road,Shanghai 200025,China 2006Cell Research2006,16,8:5
Surface Microtextures of Slipping Zone Soil of Some Landslides in the Three Gorges Reservoir District and Their Significance显示文摘The mineral assemblage and content and surface microtextures of slipping zone soil of several landslides in the Three Gorges Reservoir District have been analyzed using the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD). All the mineral assemblages are similar in these landslides. The main minerals are montmorillonite, illite, kaolinite, chlorite, quartz and feldspar. There are two kinds of surface microtexture in the slipping zone soil, i.e., linear scratches and arcuate scratches. Based on analyses of the changes of the microtextures, one can obtain information about the number, directions and stages of landslide movements. The authors have also studied the mechanism of landslide formation, evaluated the stability of landslides and revival possibility of ancient landslides and forecasted the activity of similar landslides in different districts. The surface microtexture features of stable landslides and mobile landslides are summarized and it is concluded that the existence ofYAN Chunjie SUN Yunzhi TANG Huiming 2000Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2000,74,2:5

New possible silver lining for pancreatic cancer therapy:Hydrogen sulfide and its donors显示文摘As one of the most lethal diseases, pancreatic cancer shows a dismal overall prognosis and high resistance to most treatment modalities.Furthermore, pancreatic cancer escapes early detection during the curable period because early symptoms rarely emerge and specific markers for this disease have not been found.Although combinations of new drugs, multimodal therapies, and adjuvants prolong survival, most patients still relapse after surgery and eventually die.Consequently, the search for more effective treatments for pancreatic cancer is highly relevant and justified. As a newly re-discovered mediator of gasotransmission, hydrogen sulfide(H2S)undertakes essential functions, encompassing various signaling complexes that occupy key processes in human biology.Accumulating evidence indicates that H2S exhibits bimodal modulation of cancer development. Thus, endogenous or low levels of exogenous H2S are thought to promote cancer, whereas high doses of exogenous H2S suppress tumor proliferation.Similarly, inhibition of endogenous H2S production also suppresses tumor proliferation.Accordingly,H2S biosynthesis inhibitors and H2S supplementation(H2S donors)are two distinct strategies for the treatment of cancer.Unfortunately, modulation of endogenous H2S on pancreatic cancer has not been studied so far.However,H2S donors and their derivatives have been extensively studied as potential therapeutic agents for pancreatic cancer therapy by inhibiting cell proliferation, inducing apoptosis, arresting cell cycle, and suppressing invasion and migration through exploiting multiple signaling pathways. As far as we know, there is no review of the effects of H2S donors on pancreatic cancer.Based on these concerns, the therapeutic effects of some H2S donors and NO-H2S dual donors on pancreatic cancer were summarized in this paper.Exogenous H2S donors may be promising compounds for pancreatic cancer treatment.Xu Hua Yan Xiao Jianan Sun Bao Ji Shanshan Luo Bo Wu Chao Zheng Peng Wang Fanxing Xu Keguang Cheng Huiming Hua Dahong Li 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,5:4
PINK1 kinase dysfunction triggers neurodegeneration in the primate brain without impacting mitochondrial homeostasis显示文摘In vitro studies have established the prevalent theory that the mitochondrial kinase PINK1 protects neurodegeneration by removing damaged mitochondria in Parkinson's disease(PD).However, difficulty in detecting endogenous PINK1 protein in rodent brains and cell lines has prevented the rigorous investigation of the in vivo role of PINK1.Here we report that PINK1 kinase form is selectively expressed in the human and monkey brains.CRISPR/Cas9-mediated deficiency of PINK1 causes similar neurodegeneration in the brains of fetal and adult monkeys as well as cultured monkey neurons without affecting mitochondrial protein expression and morphology.Importantly,PINK1 mutations in the primate brain and human cells reduce protein phosphorylation that is important for neuronal function and survival. Our findings suggest that PINK1 kinase activity rather than its mitochondrial function is essential for the neuronal survival in the primate brains and that its kinase dysfunction could be involved in the pathogenesis of PD.Weili Yang Xiangyu Guo Zhuchi Tu Xiusheng Chen Rui Han Yanting Liu Sen Yan Qi Wang Zhifu Wang Xianxian Zhao Yunpeng Zhang Xin Xiong Huiming Yang Peng Yin Huida Wan Xingxing Chen Jifeng Guo Xiao-Xin Yan Lujian Liao Shihua Li Xiao-Jiang Li 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,1:3
Progress Toward Measles Elimination--China,January 2013-June 2019显示文摘What is already known about this topic?China has historically had high measles incidence and many associated deaths.A comprehensive measles elimination plan during 2006-2012 substantially reduced measles incidence;however,a resurgence occurred during 2013-2015.What is added by this report? In China, measles surveillance, outbreak response, research, and program evaluation were used to strengthen routine immunization and target immunization activities for eliminating measles.Measles incidence declined from 31 per million in 2015 to 2.8 in 2018;only one measles-associated death has been reported during 2018-June 2019.What are the implications for public health practice? The World Health Organization-recommended strategy to eliminate measles can be effective, including in large, densely populated countries like China.Chao Ma Lance Rodewald Lixin Hao Qiru Su Yan Zhang Ning Wen Chunxiang Fan Hong Yang Huiming Luo Huaqing Wang James LGoodson Zundong Yin Zijian Feng 2019China CDC weekly2019,1,2:3
Rudimentary study on humanization of porcine red blood cells: Enzymatic removal of galactose-α1,3- galactose antigen from porcine red blood cell显示文摘The serological and biochemical characteriza-tion of porcine red blood cells (pRBCs) are similar to human red blood cells. Porcine erythrocytes are considered as an alternative source for human blood transfusion. But there exist galactose-?,3-galactose antigens (Gal?,3Gal?, 4GalNAcR, abbreviated 酖al antigen) on pRBCs, which can induce anti-aGal antibodies in human serum. The aGal epitopes are the major antigen responsible for hyperacute rejection in xenotransfusion. In this study, recombined soy-bean -galactosidase (rS?GalE) was used to remove the aGal antigens from pPRCs for humanization. The results showed that aGal antigen was cleared by rS?GalE and the structure and function of rS?GalE treated pRBC were normal.WANG Jiexi GAO Xin BAI Yan REN Huiming TAN Yingxia ZHANG Yangpei 2003Chinese Science Bulletin2003,48,4:2

Polysaccharide separation mechanism in polysulfone-Fe_3O_4 magnetic composite membranes显示文摘Polysulfone (PSF)-Fe3O4 composite membranes were prepared by the phase-inversion process and their polysaccharide separation mechanism was explored using chondroitin sulfate (CS) and dextran. The mechanism was analyzed from constraints on the magnetic field and geometric deformation. It was found that variations in dextran rejection from 58% to 46% were mainly influenced by the geometric deformation of the composite membrane, while the magnetic field had a significant influence on variations in CS rejection from 82% to 35%. The results indicate that it is possible to continuously separate different types of polysaccharide with a composite membrane by adjusting the external magnetic field.WANG RuiJun CHEN Yan XIE HuiMing KAI GuiQing WANG ZiYao PAN Jian 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,18:1

Anisotropic and asymmetric deformation mechanisms of nanolaminated graphene/Cu composites显示文摘We conducted molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of tension and compression along the <112> direction and MD simulations of compression along the <110> and <111> directions on nanolaminated graphene/Cu (NGCu) composites to investigate the effects of the incorporated graphene and the deformation mechanisms related to the loading direction. The deformation behavior and the defect structures were found to be strongly dependent on the loading conditions. An asymmetric tension-compression deformation behavior was thus found in graphene/Cu nanolaminates under the <112> loading, which was dominated by stacking faults and deformation twins formed by dislocation slide under tension and compression, respectively. High density and ordered nanotwins were formed at the graphene/Cu interfaces. Two different formation mechanisms of the twins were found under the <112> compression, and the nucleated twins were easy to be thickened with the assistance of the graphene wrinkles. Multiple twins were formed under the <110> compression by the dislocation cross-slip. This study provides a way to introduce graphene reinforcement and twin boundary to Cu matrix composites and design nanotwinned graphene/Cu composites with excellent mechanical performance.Shayuan Weng Huiming Ning Tao Fu Ning Hu Shu Wang Kaiyan Huang Xianghe Peng H. 18Systematic evaluation of IgG responses to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein-derived peptides for monitoring COVID-19 patients显示文摘Serological tests play an essential role in monitoring and combating the COVID-19 pandemic.Recombinant spike protein(S protein),especially the S1 protein,is one of the major reagents used for serological tests. However, the high cost of S protein production and possible cross-reactivity with other human coronaviruses pose unavoidable challenges.By taking advantage of a peptide microarray with full spike protein coverage,we analyzed 2,434 sera from 858 COVID-19 patients,63 asymptomatic patients and 610 controls collected from multiple clinical centers.Based on the results,we identified several S protein-derived 12-mer peptides that have high diagnostic performance. In particular, for monitoring the IgG response, one peptide(aa 1148-1159 or S2-78)exhibited a sensitivity(95.5%,95%CI 93.7-96.9%)and specificity(96.7%,95%CI 94.8-98.0%)comparable to those of the S1 protein for the detection of both symptomatic and asymptomatic COVID-19 cases.Furthermore, the diagnostic performance of the S2-78(aa 1148-1159)IgG was successfully validated by ELISA in an independent sample cohort.A panel of four peptides,S1-93(aa 553-564),S1-97(aa 577-588),S1-101(aa 601-612)and S1-105(aa 625-636),that likely will avoid potential cross-reactivity with sera from patients infected by other coronaviruses was constructed. The peptides identified in this study may be applied independently or in combination with the S1 protein for accurate, affordable, and accessible COVID-19 diagnosis.Yang Li Dan-yun La Qing Lei Zhao-wei Xu Feng Wang Hongyan Hou Lingyun Chen Jiaoxiang Wu Yan Ren Ming-liang Ma Bo Zhang Hong Chen Caizheng Yu Jun-biao Xue Yun-xiao Zheng Xue-ning Wang He-wei Jiang Hai-nan Zhang Huan Qi Shu-juan Guo Yandi Zhang Xiaosong Lin Zongjie Yao Pengfei Pang Dawei Shi Wei Wang Xiao Yang Jie Zhou Huiming Sheng Ziyong Sun Hong Shan Xionglin Fan Sheng-ce Tao 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,3:0
Model-Assisted Estimators with Auxiliary Functional Data显示文摘Few studies focus on the application of functional data to the field of design-based survey sampling. In this paper, the scalar-onunction regression model-assisted method is proposed to estimate the finite population means with auxiliary functional data information. The functional principal component method is used for the estimation of functional linear regression model. Our proposed functional linear regression model-assisted(FLR-assisted)estimator is asymptotically design-unbiased,consistent under mild conditions.Simulation experiments and real data analysis show that the FLR-assisted estimators are more efficient than the Horvitz-Thompson estimators under different sampling designs.Chao Liu Huiming Zhang Jing Yan 2022Communications in Mathematical Research2022,38,1:0
Feature Fusion Based Hand Gesture Recognition Method for Automotive Interfaces显示文摘Hand gesture recognition on the depth videos is a promising approach for automotive interfaces because it is less sensitive to light variation and more accurate than other traditional methods. However, video gestures recognition is still a challenging task since lots of interferences are induced by the uncorrelated gesture factors.Considering that if the displays are more relevant, the results will more accurate,so ResNext,a kind of compact and efficient neural network,is firstly used as feature extractor, then an improved weighted frame unification method is adopted to obtain the key frame samples, finally the Discriminant correlation analysis(DCA)is employed to fuse features for static data and dynamic data after conducting Feature embedding branch(FEB)on static data. The public dataset named Depth based gesture recognition database(DGRD)is used in this paper, but the dataset is a little small and the class distribution is largely imbalance, and we find the performance of ResNext degrades badly in the condition of imbalance problem although it achieves excellent result at sufficient training data.In order to conquer the disadvantages of limited dataset,a special loss function scheme combining the softmax loss and dice loss is proposed.Evaluation of the algorithm performances in comparison with other state-of-the-art methods indicates that the proposed method is more practical for gesture recognition and may be widely adopted by automotive interfaces.XU Qianyi QIN Guihe SUN Minghui YAN Jie JIANG Huiming ZHANG Zhonghan 2020Chinese Journal of Electronics2020,29,6:0
