1Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 Clade 2.3.2.1c virus in migratory birds,2014–2015显示文摘A novel Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortant virus caused several outbreaks in wild birds in some regions of China from late 2014 to 2015.Based on the genetic and phylogenetic analyses,the viruses possess a stable gene constellation with a Clade 2.3.2.1c HA,a H9N2-derived PB2 gene and the other six genes of Asian H5N1-origin.The Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortants displayed a high genetic relationship to a human H5N1 strain(A/Alberta/01/2014).Further analysis showed that similar viruses have been circulating in wild birds in China,Russia,Dubai(Western Asia),Bulgaria and Romania(Europe),as well as domestic poultry in some regions of Africa.The affected areas include the Central Asian,East Asian-Australasian,West Asian-East African,and Black Sea/Mediterranean flyways.These results show that the novel Clade 2.3.2.1c reassortant viruses are circulating worldwide and may have gained a selective advantage in migratory birds,thus posing a serious threat to wild birds and potentially humans.Yuhai Bi Jianjun Chen Zhenjie Zhang Mingxin Li Tianlong Cai Kirill Sharshov Ivan Susloparov Alexander Shestopalov Gary Wong Yubang He Zhi Xing Jianqing Sun Di Liu Yingxia Liu Lei Liu Wenjun Liu Fumin Lei Weifeng Shi George F. 2Fabrication of Superhydrophobic Micro Post Array on Aluminum Substrates Using Mask Electrochemical Machining显示文摘Surfaces with controllable micro structures are significant in fundamental development of superhydrophobicity. However,preparation of superhydrophobic surfaces with array structures on metal substrates is not effective using existing methods. A new method was presented to fabricate super-hydrophobic post arrays on aluminum(Al) substrates using mask electrochemical machining and fluoridation. Electrochemical etching was first applied on Al plates with pre-prepared photoresist arrays to make the post array structures. Surface modification was subsequently applied to reduce the surface energy, followed by interaction with water to realize superhydrophobicity. Simulation and experimental verification were conducted to investigate how machining parameters affect the array structures. 3Robust superamphiphobic coatings with gradient and hierarchical architecture and excellent anti-flashover performances显示文摘Biomimetic superhydrophobic(SH)coatings have emerged as a promising alternative to traditional room temperature vulcanizing(RTV)silicone rubber coatings for improving the flashover strength of insulators.However,organic contamination occurs in outdoor applications and thus a superamphiphobic(SAP)surface is more desirable but not yet reported for improving flashover performance.Herein,we developed a novel anti-flashover technique by fabricating robust SAP coating with unique gradient and micro-nanoscale hierarchical architecture.The SAP coating was fabricated by sequentially spray-depositing a resin-based primer and a silica-based topcoat on substrates(i.e.,glass slides and insulators).The primer not only functions as an adhesive offering strong adhesion to the substrate but also offers a micromastoid-like structure facilitating the subsequent formation of hierarchical micro-nanostructure.The appropriate spraying pressure leads to a diffusion of the fluorocarbon-modified silica nanoparticles into the primer to form a unique gradient structure,by analogy to inserting bullets into a wood.These features render the SAP coating excellent robustness with strong abrasive resistance,excellent ultraviolet(UV)resistance,and excellent chemical and thermal stability.Pollution flashover property of the SAP coating was explored and compared with that of SH and RTV specimens,from which a novel organic-contamination model to evaluate the flashover performance was proposed.The coated SAP glass insulator demonstrated 42.9%pollution flashover voltage improvement than RTV-coated insulator.These stated unique features reveal the convincing potential of the present SAP coatings to be applied for not only outdoor transmission line insulators for antiflashover but also other fields for self-cleaning,anti-fouling,and anti-icing.Yi Xie Wei Xiong Shefiu Kareem Chuxiong Qiu Yongfei Hu Ivan PParkin Shengwu Wang Huayun Wang Junwu Chen Lee Li Zhi Chen Huajun Sun Xiujian Zhao 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:2

18Sodium Superionic Conductors(NASICONs)as Cathode Materials for Sodium‑Ion Batteries显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have developed rapidly owing to the high natural abundance,wide distribution,and low cost of sodium.Among the various materials used in SIBs,sodium superion conductor(NASICON)-based electrode materials with remarkable structural stability and high ionic conductivity are one of the most promising candidates for sodium storage electrodes.Nevertheless,the relatively low electronic conductivity of these materials makes them display poor electrochemical performance,significantly limiting their practical application.In recent years,the strategies of enhancing the inherent conductivity of NASICON-based cathode materials have been extensively studied through coating the active material with a conductive carbon layer,reducing the size of the cathode material,combining the cathode material with various carbon materials,and doping elements in the bulk phase.In this paper,we review the recent progress in the development of NASICON-based cathode materials for SIBs in terms of their synthesis,characterization,functional mechanisms,and performance validation/optimization.The advantages and disadvantages of such SIB cathode materials are analyzed,and the relationship between electrode structures and electrochemical performance as well as the strategies for enhancing their electrical conductivity and structural stability is highlighted.Some technical challenges of NASICON-based cathode materials with respect to SIB performance are analyzed,and several future research directions are also proposed for overcoming the challenges toward practical applications.Qingbo Zhou Linlin Wang Wenyao Li Kangning Zhao Minmin Liu Qian Wu Yujie Yang Guanjie He Ivan P.Parkin Paul R.Shearing Dan J.L.Brett Jiujun Zhang Xueliang Sun 2021Electrochemical Energy Reviews2021,4,4:1
