2Accurate extraction of fabricated geometry using optical measurement显示文摘We experimentally demonstrate extraction of silicon waveguide geometry with subnanometer accuracy using optical measurements. Effective and group indices of silicon-on-insulator(SOI) waveguides are extracted from the optical measurements. An accurate model linking the geometry of an SOI waveguide to its effective and group indices is used to extract the linewidths and thicknesses within respective errors of 0.37 and0.26 nm on a die fabricated by IMEC multiproject wafer services. 4Self-Healing Microcapsule-Thickened Oil Barrier Coatings显示文摘Low-viscosity oils could potentially act as self-healing barrier coatings because they can readily fow and reconnect to heal minor damage.For the same reason,however,they typically do not form stable coatings on metal surfaces.Increasing viscosity helps to stabilize the oil coating,but it also slows down the healing process.Here,we report a strategy for creating highly stable oil coatings on metal surfaces without sacrifcing their remarkable self-healing properties.Low-viscosity oil flms can be immobilized on metal surfaces using lightweight microcapsules as thickeners,which form a dynamic network to prevent the creep of the coating.When the coating is scratched,oil around the opening can rapidly fow to cover the exposed area,reconnecting the particle network.Use of these coatings as anticorrosion barriers is demonstrated.Te coatings can be easily applied on metal surfaces,including those with complex geometries,both in air or under water,and remain stable even in turbulent water.Tey can protect metal in corrosive environments for extended periods of time and can self-heal repeatedly when scratched at the same spot.Such a strategy may ofer efective mitigation of the dangerous localized corrosion aggravated by minor imperfections or damage in protective coatings,which are typically hard to prevent or detect,but can drastically degrade metal properties.Alane Tarianna OLim Chenlong Cui Hee Dong Jang Jiaxing Huang 2019Research2019,,1:1
5Bandgap narrowing and polarization enhancement in(K,Na,Li)(Nb,Sb,Ta)O_(3)+x%Fe_(2)O_(3) lead-free ceramics for photovoltaic applications显示文摘The need for ferroelectric materials with both narrow bandgaps(Eg)and large remanent polarization(Pr)remains a key challenge to the development of high-efficiency ferroelectric photovoltaic(FPV)devices.In this work,[(K_(0.43)Na_(0.57))_(0.94)Li_(0.06)][(Nb_(0.94)Sb_(0.06))_(0.95)Ta_(0.05)]O_(3)(KNLNST)-based lead-free ceramics with narrow Eg and large P are obtained via Fe_(2)O_(3) doping.By optimizing the level of Fe_(2)O_(3) doping,a KNLNST+1.3%Fe_(2)O_(3) ceramic is fabricated that simultaneously possesses a narrow Eg of 1.74 eV and a large Pr of 27.05μC/cm^(2).These values are much superior to those of undoped KNLNST ceramics(Eg=3.1 eV and Pr=17.73μC/cm^(2)).While the large P stems from the increment of the volume ratio between the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases(Vo/VT)in KNLNST ceramics by proper amount of Fe3+doping,the narrow Eg is attributed to the coupling interaction between the Fe3+dopants and the B-site Sb3+host ions.Moreover,a switchable photovoltaic effect caused by the ferroelectric depolarization electric field(Edp)is observed in the KNLNST+1.3%Fe_(2)O_(3) ceramic-based device.Thanks to the narrower Eg and larger P,of the doped ceramic,the photovoltaic performance of the corresponding device(open-circuit voltage(Voc)=-5.28 V and short-circuit current density(JSC)=0.051μA/cm^(2))under a downward poling state is significantly superior to that of an undoped KNLNST-based device(Voc=-0.46 V and Jse=0.039μA/cm^(2)).This work offers a feasible approach to developing ferroelectric materials with narrow bandgaps and large Pr for photovoltaic applications.Jian Chen Jiaxing Mao Zihui Wang Yanhui Dong Jinming Guo Mingkai Li Yi Zhang Yinmei Lu Yunbin He 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,7:0
6High carrier mobility and strong fluorescence emission: Toward highly sensitive single-crystal organic phototransistors显示文摘Organic single crystals(OSCs)offer a unique combination of both individual and collective properties of the employed molecules,but it remains highly challenging to achieve OSCs with both high mobilities and strong fluorescence emissions for their potential applications in multifunctional optoelectronics.Herein,we demonstrate the design and synthesis of two novel triphenylamine-functionalized thienoacenes-based organic semiconductors,4,8-distriphenylamineethynylbenzo[1,2-b:4,5-b′]dithiophene(4,8-DTEBDT)and 2,6-distriphenylamineethynylbenzo[1,2-b:4,5-b′]dithiophene(2,6-DTEBDT),with high-mobility and strong fluorescence emission.The two compounds show the maximum mobilities up to 0.25 and 0.06 cm^(2) V^(-1) s^(-1),the photoluminescence quantum yields(PLQYs)of 51% and 45%,and the small binding energies down to 55.13 and 58.79 meV.The excellent electrical and optical properties ensured the application of 4,8-DTEBDT and 2,6-DTEBDT single crystals in ultrasensitive UV phototransistors,achieving high photoresponsivity of 9.60×105 and 6.43×10^(4) AW^(-1),and detectivity exceeding 5.68×10^(17) and 2.99×10^(16) Jones.Jingwei Tao Zhaoyang Liu Dan Liu Huanli Dong Jiangbo Jing Jiaxing Song Leijing Liu Bin Xu Wenjing Tian 2023Aggregate2023,4,2:0
7Novel phthalimides regulating PD-1/PD-L1 interaction as potential immunotherapy agents显示文摘Programmed cell death 1(PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)have emerged as one of the most promising immune checkpoint targets for cancer immunotherapy.Despite the inherent advantages of small-molecule inhibitors over antibodies,the discovery of small-molecule inhibitors has fallen behind that of antibody drugs.Based on docking studies between small molecule inhibitor and PD-L1 protein,changing the chemical linker of inhibitor from a flexible chain to an aromatic ring may improve its binding capacity to PD-L1 protein,which was not reported before.A series of novel phthalimide derivatives from structure-based rational design was synthesized.P39 was identified as the best inhibitor with promising activity,which not only inhibited PD-1/PD-L1 interaction(IC_(50)=8.9 nmol/L),but also enhanced killing efficacy of immune cells on cancer cells.Co-crystal data demonstrated that P39 induced the dimerization of PD-L1 proteins,thereby blocking the binding of PD-1/PD-L1.Moreover,P39 exhibited a favorable safety profile with a LD_(50)>5000 mg/kg and showed significant in vivo antitumor activity through promoting CD8^(+)T cell activation.All these data suggest that P39 acts as a promising small chemical inhibitor against the PD-1/PD-L1 axis and has the potential to improve the immunotherapy efficacy of T-cells.Chengliang Sun Yao Cheng Xiaojia Liu Gefei Wang Wenjian Min Xiao Wang Kai Yuan Yi Hou Jiaxing Li Haolin Zhang Haojie Dong Liping Wang Chenguang Lou Yanze Sun Xinmiao Yu Hongbin Deng Yibei Xiao Peng Yang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,12:0
8Research on the identification of the production origin of Angelica dahurica using LIBS technology combined with machine learning algorithms显示文摘The origin of Angelica dahurica medicinal herbs varies, and their pharmacological effects also differ. In order to achieve rapid and accurate identification of the origin of Angelica dahurica medicinal herbs, this study utilizes laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) technology combined with machine learning algorithms to identify the original source of Angelica dahurica. Sliced samples of Angelica dahurica were taken from four regions: Hebei, Henan, Zhejiang, and Sichuan. 9Damage Evolution of Ballastless Track Concrete Exposed to Flexural Fatigue Loads:The Application of Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity,Impact-echo and Surface Electrical Resistance Method显示文摘In order to clarify the fatigue damage evolution of concrete exposed to flexural fatigue loads,ultrasonic pulse velocity(UPV),impact-echo technology and surface electrical resistance(SR) method were used.Damage variable based on the change of velocity of ultrasonic pulse(Du) and impact elastic wave(Di)were defined according to the classical damage theory.The influences of stress level,loading frequency and concrete strength on damage variable were measured.The experimental results show that Du and Di both present a three-stages trend for concrete exposed to fatigue loads.Since impact elastic wave is more sensitive to the microstructure damage in stage Ⅲ,the critical damage variable,i e,the damage variable before the final fracture of concrete of Di is slightly higher than that of Du.Meanwhile,the evolution of SR of concrete exposed to fatigue loads were analyzed and the relationship between SR and Du,SR and Di of concrete exposed to fatigue loads were established.It is found that the SR of concrete was decreased with the increasing fatigue cycles,indicating that surface electrical resistance method can also be applied to describe the damage of ballastless track concrete exposed to fatigue loads.杨志强 李化建 WEN Jiaxing DONG Haoliang HUANG Fali WANG Zhen YI Zhonglai 2024Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2024,39,2:0
10On Water Growth of Continuous Thin Films of Two-Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks with Large Single-Crystal Domains显示文摘A core feature of two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks is crystallinity, but it remains challenging to gain their thin films with high crystallinity. Here, we presented growth of thin films of two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks with an average domain size of ~2.83 μm^(2) and maximum domain size of up to ~26.19 μm^(2) using amphiphilic glycine derivatives on water surface.
